181  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: TheBitMint - Buy Bitcoins With PayPal on: July 02, 2012, 12:04:27 PM
Chill out some. Give the guy at least a couple of business days to get things figured out. Its pretty clear that paypal's system flagged it on the monthly check they do and no one with the power to fix it is even in the office yet. If he stops working towards a resolution, then take whatever action you want. Until then try to be helpful rather than vengeful. Getting police and a lawyer involved will only slow the process down at this point.

so, lets assume the payments get reversed. You now have all that USD in your account. Options (least fees to most fees): check, money order, buy BTC and send, Dwolla, certified check, wire transfer, Western Union.

My preference would be to just get back the BTC that I sent you.

What state/country are you located in?
Philj - you know how this works, you do not have the money, he does not have the money, PayPal has the money.

I was more speaking of when paypal does end up reversing the funds. They can't seize the funds permanently, they can only let them go through or reverse the transactions, at which point something can be done outside of paypal.

Do you still have the BTC available to refund some/all of the people you dealt with? Just asking in the event that paypal takes too long, or the USD shows back up in your account.

Add me to the list of people that have money on hold from selling BTC to TheBitMint. I'll happily accept the BTC that I sold you if this paypal thing goes south.

I can't wait until we as a community can get 100% away from this paypal shit.
186  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: June 30, 2012, 04:37:53 PM
awesome site. I really like the earnings report that estimates your weekly interest as soon as you make the deposit or withdraw. Keep up the good work.
187  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL's graveyard on: June 30, 2012, 04:13:12 PM
They will hold on to them, wait for the bitcoin algorithm to change, update the bitstream, then sell them back to the same people that purchased them before.

Why sell a product once when you can sell it twice for 3x the profit.

sub

No need to sub anymore. Use the brand new "watch" button at the bottom, then hit your watchlist instead of the show new replies link.
189  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Singles Order Date / Ship Date on: June 29, 2012, 05:35:59 PM
I thought they were shipping ~50 Singles a day. Why are these delay dates creeping back up?

yep, they probably were shipping 50 a day for the whole 51 days it took them to deplete the batch they had come in. ;p

FTFY

Paid with bitpay. I'm assuming they'll send a conformation later on?

Bitpay doesn't send an email, just print the invoice page. You may have to refresh it to sow the paid status.

BFL did send a confirmation by hand a few days after I ordered my normal singles, but haven't seen anything confirming the ASIC singles yet.

192  Economy / Securities / Re: Which GLBSE mining companies are upgrading to BFL? on: June 29, 2012, 01:36:19 PM
PIMP is upgrading 8 singles. 100% will be upgraded, hopefully in one shipment as I really don't want to have to do a phased upgrade. Hopefully going from 1MH/s to 20MH/s if BFLs numbers are accurate  Huh

194  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Diablo Mining Company (DMC) [5.0 ghash] on: June 28, 2012, 12:24:37 AM

Yes, that one, where he is no longer going to honor the contract he agreed to on GLBSE.

had to read that 3 times to catch the .125 in the contract vs the intended .0125. thats a pretty big difference.

The small fans right? Not the fans the size of the whole unit ... I hope.

Are there photos somewhere of the differences? The fans are pretty large and clunky. The build quality on the older revs seems weaker too.

Referbs maybe?

199  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL SC Order Dates / Ship Dates on: June 26, 2012, 03:01:14 PM
Thats a big gap between order #2158 and order # 2278.  These things have to be flying off the shelves.

Could also be people submitting and order and not paying. Either maliciously or just seeing how much a Jala costs in BTC then realizing they don't have enough.
200  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: June 26, 2012, 01:44:18 AM

lots of pms* / lots of drama this week.

pms and drama usually go together.

2x drama because the BST delay just happened to coincide with the random once-in-a-year outage on my regular internet connection... had to search through some boxes for my emergency wifi USB that i keep for just that reason, but then it was getting poor reception because we are getting heavy rain.

everything going wrong at once, but almost back to normal.

the only thing left to do is respond to a few more PMs, but i've hit the hourly limit (of 10) at the moment, so i'll get to them soon.

what a ride Cheesy

Add to this the issues that Hashking is having right now, and there is definitely something strange going on with Pirate accounts this week.
