181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto exchangers - what do you think about them? on: September 20, 2018, 10:30:55 AM
First of all, I like that you asked the most important question in Crypto World i.e about Exchanges.

There are 10s of cryptocurrency exchanges, there are primarily custodial exchange, non-custodial exchanges, decentralised exchanges.
  • Custodial -  Exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, they store your cryptocurrencies with them, you do not have access to your private key
  • Non Custodial Exchanges - Exchanges like Changelly, N. Exchange,ChangeNow, etc. in these exchanges you send coins from your own wallet, and receive coins in another wallet.
  • Decentralised Exchanges- IDEX, ether delta, not very easy to use, very bad UI.

I would always use an exchange which do not store my currencies, also I want to always see which exchange is offering me the best rates to trade coins, I want to compare prices at leading exchanges like ShapeShift, Changelly, Changer, ChangeNow, Binance, Bittrex, Cryptopia, HitBtc etc.

Therefore I use https://coinswitch.co/, CoinSwitch exchange is an aggregator of leading exchanges, and provide the best rates to trade.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is really coming back strong and special right now!!! on: September 20, 2018, 09:57:56 AM
ICOs are dumping heavily in the market, one way to invest and also earn money in cryptocurrency is to do study of the market, why the market is going down, try and dig into the core actual reason for it.

The market can not just fell down to 70% in 6months, there is always big investors money responsible both for rise and fall of the market.

For now about ETH's price - Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency in the world by market capitalization is facing major devaluation as its value has been dropping at a major scale since last month.  It has sunk into a 14-month low two days back, where it reached as low as $188.31- the lowest since August 2017, which was followed by a sharp 8.5% spike which returned the coin back above the $200 range. The longer-term numbers for Ethereum are just as terrifying, with a 69.5% shortfall coming in the last thirty days. The gap between Ethereum and Bitcoin seems to be growing larger, with Bitcoin on 5% growth for the last month and Ethereum continues to fall.

Эфирные жетоны - это стандартные маркеры ERC20, все, кто инвестировал в ИОС или зарегистрированные для патрулирования, касались токенов Ethereum одним или другим способом.

Как торговать всеми маркерами Ethereum с любой Cryptocurrency Exchange?

Вы можете купить этитоны из децентрализованных бирж, но так много людей указали, что торговать с децентрализованной биржей непросто, проще всего обменять все токены с мгновенного обмена - это Coinswitch.

187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Forum, the only effective medium for crypto and ICO Marketing? on: September 14, 2018, 01:15:47 PM
Only advertisements have been banned, on social media platforms, Crypto and Bitcoin have not been banned. I think there is enough discussion which happens on twitter and all other social media about cryptocurrency, adaption of Bitcoin and Crypto has got very less to do with advs ban, there are many other factors, like lack of trust, governments not supporting cryptocurrency. etc.

What I do verify if an exchange is good or not, I see the traffic on it, there is a chrome extension called similar web where you can see the no. of users using the exchange, no. of visitors on the website, etc.

I am sure there may be many ways to find out if an exchange is real or fake, their presence on social media, there reviews on Trustpilot, google and you can see how many people are talking about it.
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a good way to concisely explain Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2018, 09:54:40 AM
What is Bitcoin?

To many, Bitcoin is the face of the cryptocurrency market, and for quite a few, it remains the only cryptocurrency they know.

Bitcoin: The Basics

The first to come into the spotlight, Bitcoin is a decentralized, blockchain based cryptocurrency.

It can be transferred from person to person, without the use of a financial institution, such as a bank. This is called a peer-to-peer transaction and eliminates the need for a middle-man.

All transactions are recorded and stored in a ‘ledger’, which is the blockchain. These are not stored in a single server but are distributed across the network, thus making them decentralized, and safe from unauthorized modifications.

In January 2009, an individual or a group of individuals using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto released the source code on SourceForge.
In 2010, Nakamoto handed over the Bitcoin network to Gavin Andresen, who then sought to decentralize it.

Since Blockchain evolved to be one of the most feasible technology, we have countless options in the cryptocurrency list to invest.
Before thinking of investing, it's very crucial to understand their features and potential in the long turn. For that, following their move is equally important. Just like real estate investment and significant investments, you can’t just rush into any decision.

Top Cryptocurrencies to invest in 2018 to invest might not be very popular or common to all the traders.

Before making any investment decisions, we should be answering these questions to ourselves:

Are you having any planning of selling after it reaches a peak price?
If yes, do you want to sell it all at once or gradually?
Is there any factor which might affect your decision and you sell it off abruptly?
What is the maximum amount of loss which you can bear?
How optimistic are you about making profits?
Do you follow the market news on a regular basis? If you’re not keen on that, you mustn’t invest.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become centralized sometime in the future? on: June 18, 2018, 09:52:39 AM
More than 50% of the mining is done by Chinese pools. That means that they control the network - who's transactions get in, whose transactions are left out. Since the block reward was reduced to 12.5BTC, they are completing it with transaction fees - the bigger the transaction you're sending - the bigger the fee you need to pay them. Last time I've checked I've seen some transactions with fees of more than $1000 worth of BTC in them. It also depends on the BTC price.

So in a sense, Bitcoin is starting to act like a traditional banking system - owned by Chinese people.

Blockchain size is increasing rapidly and soon to reach 200GB of storage - when the size will get ever larger, especially assuming that people that host the entire chain on their computer do not get rewarded for it and maintaining a full node requires electricity + storage + network uptime, it will soon be costly to run a full node. 200GB and even 1TB of storage is no problem for a central authority to run, and it seems to be going in that direction. How can the network continue to be P2P like that? And especially what happens if that main storage will be taken over by the authorities and be shut down?

Downloading and installing a node is costly and difficult, most of the wallets being opened by people today are online wallets, most likely under the main site [Suspicious link removed], and this site seems to be run by ghosts - there's no actual person there that you can contact in case of problems with your wallet, and the only way to contact them is through a Luxembourg court order (see "Legal" section on their site). Same goes for the bitcoin.org domain - there's no person that can take responsibility for these operations. What happens if tomorrow [Suspicious link removed] gets shut down for legal actions? What will happen with people's wallets and their funds then?
There is no governance, and the only thing that governs the entire network is mathematics. What happens if tomorrow all Chinese pools collaborate together, make a Bitcoin transaction of 1M Bitcoins, and after 5 or 6 blocks (confirmation) they start to re-mine all the blocks again in order to erase that transaction from the chain? Assuming that they outline all the other competitors, I can't think of a scenario where they won't catch up and even win over the honest chain, assuming the difficulty changes only every 2016 blocks. If I was the owner of these pools, what can prevent me from deliberately ceasing all my mining power? wait for the net difficulty to lower, and then do this attack?
193  Economy / Economics / Re: Which Asian countries have the greatest influence on bitcoin? on: June 18, 2018, 09:30:39 AM

People in the U.S. or the western world may not be aware of this, but Asian markets play an instrumental role in affecting the value and trade volume of cryptocurrencies. Three countries that make a significant impact on Bitcoin values are Japan, China, and South Korea. Statistics show that these three countries accounted for more than 50% of the trade volume for cryptocurrencies in 2017 when btc price was soaring.

Japan

Japan is the birthplace of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Some of the first mining operations in the world were set up in this country. Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonym associated with the creation of Bitcoin platform, is believed to have started his operations in Japan.

Digital currencies have been very popular with the Japanese public who quickly adopted the currencies for daily transactions. A number of banks offer their customers accounts in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The Japanese government mostly left cryptocurrencies markets free to operate without intervention. The first major regulations were rolled out after the Mt. Gox crash in 2014.

China

There was a time when Chinese investors were leading the Bitcoin trading around the world. Chinese exchanges accounted for up to 90% of the daily trading volume in Bitcoin. In September 2017, the Chinese authorities cracked down upon crypto exchanges and mining operations in the country.

This led to a crash in the global markets. The trading volume in China fell to a fraction of its previous high levels. Many exchanges and mining operations moved to Hong Kong which has its own regulations that are separate from the rest of China.

South Korea Trade in Cryptocurrencies

South Korean investors were slightly late to the party and trading in Bitcoin picked up only in the last two years. The investors from the smaller nation were quite aggressive in their purchasing and led the bullish trend that saw the value of Bitcoin appreciate to over $15k.

In January 2018, the South Korean regulators cracked down on the virtual exchanges operating in the country. The government issued a strong statement that they were looking to ban the cryptocurrency trading as it was being used for criminal activities and money laundering.
