181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 28, 2014, 05:48:24 AM

And then the multipools will come back.. multipools can kill an altcoin.. ramp diff up and sell sell sell

It really looks that AUR coin developer(s) do not know what they are doing. (because they have wait so long time before implement KGW. It was FIRST time one big pool hop to AUR and immediately can undrstand what need do - aggressive and fast mode of KGW - but what they do - nothing. It is good that they have some kind of "wakeup" and after 5400 it is coming - but I afraid - adjustments still wrong - but lets see..)

Difficulty adjustment do not work well with big profit switching pools. And very very soon it come more bad after big amount of 0.1 - 0.5 Thash ASIC's are running and scanning over Scrypt alt coins.

You need set coin to profit multipool's resistant.  (as all scrypt altcoins need do)

Dr Kimoto Grawity Well  (KGW) need set very aggressive and fast (fast rise and fall time) mode (some time ago it looks like it was fast rise slow falling mode). It need be as fast to both - positive and negative direction. To undrerstand this dynamics need that coin developer team do some home works. Just with rule: learn first theory and after then use it for practice.

This is one reason why I stop mining this coin.

---

In some place someone tell that Litecoin do not use KGW.
Oh well - when 10Ghash switch to Litecoin, it is like drop in sea.
But when 10Ghash jumps to coin where current net total hashrate is 1G or somethink even less...
Very soon these jumping fast profit fishing  pools may have many tens or hundreds of Gigahashes. And they do not care anything but fast profit. They do not care 51% rule... all good practices are "so what" for these peoples.

Situation is going  soon much more bad.
After some weeks - months there are coming Tera hashes for scrypt.
KnCminer, alone,  is just one.. soon they relase to markets total more than 250Ghash (and this is small).
And soon there is many others coming with more and more Ghashes, or better say Terahashes.

These all hashing power to some  couple of  profit switching multipools and good nigh...if there is not any protection.

ALERT!

Dedicated pool need immediately do something. Example reject new accounts as long as pool hashrate is over 45% of total network hashrate!

Dedicated Pool Hashrate  316.23MH/s
Total EXE Net Hashrate 525.03MH/s
(230314  0750 GMT)

One pool must not have over 50% of total EXE network hashrate!

Now it is around 60%.

Also dedivcated pool admin need react as normally in crypto coins world.

For normal users: p2pools give same or better in continuous mining.

Network need be enough decentralized!

It can also reduce by dropping out starting from most new accounts, first using kind text note and if this do not help then just using brute force.

GPUs GAME OVER

<0.005 BTC/Day/Mh

GOOD BYE

GPU mining is not at all over but perhaps soon with ordinary Scrypt.
But it need know what to with GPU's.

But if someone know where is free gold to pick up - why tell it to others how to find it?

184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 21, 2014, 10:47:32 AM
whether we will produce Vertcoin (VTC) Scrypt-N?

p2p scrypt-N mining is not difficult. Just connect to some node with your Scrypt-N coin address and that's it and wait coins are coming from windows and doors.

I think that fast mode KGW need urgently add also to many Scrypt coins just becouse these many multipools high hashing power related to some coin total average hashrate and very slow difficulty adjustment. Todays pumpdump scene is going more and more bad and finally we all loose in long run.
If there is coin where net hashrate total is example 1Ghash and then one 100Ghash pool jump on board... good night and last people shut lights off. We all want win-win but we get loose-loose.

Example: EXEcoin is now very down. 1 EXE is ~0.04mBTC
But even with this, I test with around 2.4MH/s (Scryp-N speed) and get around 800 EXE last 24hour.. It give 32mBTC if I change it to BTC now. If I use 4.8MH/s normal multipool scrypt I may get same time 25mBTC.
(but I do not, I use two test rigs just for mine VTC and EXE and hold.)

My opinion is that situation is now danger!

Execoin Pool - EXE.DEDICATEDPOOL.COM

Pool have over 49%
(if reported total net hashrate is right)
(10:15 GMT)

Quote
Pool Hashrate 144.53MH/s
Net Hashrate 292.53MH/s

It need urgently more p2p miners or dedicated pool need urgently reject new accounts.

Good point, i will implemet it.

Exellent.

Execoin block explorer

Quote
Address E...................................1

I'm sorry, this address has too many records to display.

EXE coin is young and block chain explorer can not show records and balance because too many records?
Who is responsible about this?
-----------------------

Then:

I have bulk addresses and I want know my incomes and balance and I do not want use gt wallet because I want my private keys are virgin.

How I can add EXEcoin address to qt wallet without private key so that it display least just balance ("watch only" address).

Then, if qt wallet have multiple addresses (with or without private keys in wallet) how it show separate address balances.

Normally I want always use bulk addresses and use private key ONLY this time when I need send to other address. (before paper wallet, I have done bulk addresses using qt-wallett offline and using console for dumpprivkey. After get all private keys I have then destroyed all wallet data from this offline computer.
Now it is more easy becouse we have bulk address generator (paper wallet generator)
When I need send money, just run qt-wallet and importprivkey and there it is ready for send.
This way I need never copy my wallet, never afraid someone theaf my wallet and never afraid if my HD crash.

-- wallett need watch only addresses (and time when need send money, just then it need ask private key)
(if there is (then sorry about my noob) then please explain how to use, and also how to display every address separate balances)

-- block chain explorer need always show address balance, independent of address records lenght!

"Storm" in ordinary Scrypt is coming. How bad, who knows...

How much this kind of equipment can do Scryp-N or is it so that it can not do at all.

What is going on?

This kind of situation is not good. Also no information about situation.

Keep calm, ...

See this as an opportunity to mine more at low difficulty.

+1  :!

also good to support p2p mining for avoid possible 51 problems.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 17, 2014, 10:32:12 AM

Has it happened to anyone else?

Yes.

I believe it is normal.
I think once a week they pay out under 10mBTC balances.

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXE] Execoin - Fast | ASIC resistant | Multipool resistant | no-premine on: March 17, 2014, 05:53:37 AM
All dumper are crazy

As soon as the mining dumpers that have to pay for electricity are out of the system the investors can take over. A high network mining hash rate is not important because you can have the same block rate with 1 CPU at low difficulty vs a gazillion quintillion terra has rate at super high difficulty. What is important is to gave the coin in the hands of many investors.  There must be an average hash rate for mining but many exchanges with high volumes of trading for the coin so that there can be liquidity.  The highest risk of a new coin are many miners mining for profit because miners are the dumpers on small exchanges with low volumes causing the value of coins to be low.  Investors know how to work a market so that there is not high volatility and investors know better than to just dump. A new coin must just get through the first few weeks without being killed by profit mining dumpers and Bob's your uncle.
Being  killed by profit mining dumpers,Is EXE possible or not?

Perhaps these dumpers have no idea what is coming on inside next months. (Scrypt ASIC's )
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 13, 2014, 07:49:58 AM
There is something wrong in AUR difficulty adjustment.

It is specified to 10minute target time.
It have nearly continuously 15- >20minutes.

It leads too long confirmation time.

Are there someone manipulating this so that mining is much more difficult than specified.

Who is behind this wrong adjustment and why? Someone want manipulate markets?
Perhaps founder have loosed idea about crypto coins.
If this coin continue this "policy" it is in troubles soon.
If you loose p2p miners and there is only some few big pools it may lead bad problems.
One day and there is only one pool who take over 51.
With wrong difficulty you loose p2p sufficiently widely distributed network.

It looks like up/down mechanism in difficulty adjustment have some bug.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 12, 2014, 04:42:58 PM
This was scam?
https://aur.cryptoculture.net/

This pool have shut down and there is blocks unconfirmed and can not do any withdraws (becouse balances unconfirmed)

Also they may have reset some account information and can not send any ticket to pool admin.

It looks like it is too easy take miners coins and run away.

But do these operators really think that they can disappear totally. No way kids. Some day these scammed peoples find you. Small thyink but I can ask... do you operator really think it is nice when you all days afraid meet some scammed peoples... think that one may be your neighbour. Can you sleep?

Wrong, https://aur.cryptoculture.net/ is one of the best and serious pool, I always received the payment from here.
Unfortunately this pool is subject of many attacks..
I stopped to mine AUR because I don't find any decent pool to join, with ~100% uptime + the diff of AUR is out of my range

Yes, now I know more about this situation.

It looks like pool operator have done really hard work for solve this issue and now withdraw (least for me) works today.

I will take my words back about scam. It looks like my suspect was really wrong.

Perhaps I come back to this pool after it is up and problems solved.

Are there any good pool for mine?
If I look list this is not updated. Many dead pools or link do not work.
Whole hash rate is around or over 20Gh/s
But where are these pools.
Are there any pool with over around 0.5 - >1GH/s
(Also enough big P2pools what really can frequently find blocks.)

Who want keep rigs in some shit pool one week and after waiting see that oh well... pool was scam and I only use electric for warming air (example with 120kWh/day)

Also it looks strange that AUR difficulty adjustmet looks like some kind of shit.
Why it is nearly continuously too high. Who is behind this? It can not explain with hash rate. More it looks some kind of manipulating.

Continuously too high difficult and block time example now over 16 minutes. Then if follow how it adjust... oh well adjust and agen far too slow.
Are there someone who play game with this difficulty adjustmet now before 25th Mar.

Where are trusted pools with enough (but not too high) hashing power?

197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 05, 2014, 11:00:33 AM
" While it sucks to lose the coins, its the risk we face when adding coins that are only supported on small (unproven) exchanges."

For future, please do not add exchange services what are not really trusted.
I will recommend you just clean out these from unexchanged - and learn for future what can do with over 25GH/s switching principle pool what also have (suspected) quite big sub pool)

198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 04, 2014, 07:58:12 AM
This is one of the features I like at Hashcows.

Why you do not go to pool what offer what you want.

Do you ask in cafebar if they can start selling also clothes just becouse you can not walk over street to clothes shop.

199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 22, 2014, 09:33:29 AM
What is going on with eu server.
Reject rate rised from average 0.5% to 10-20% and even more.
Lot of stales, lot of duplicates, lot of job not found... etc...
Problem is in server end, not my rigs (only 8MH/s now on waffle)
Specially it looks that this is with some coin.
Previously I have not find this with waffle.

After 12 hour watch, rejects <0.1% with my one test rig with eu.waffle.

Changes what have made looks really perfect. Nice to see that wafflepool is in good hands.

also vardiff off is very good. Fixed 512 is ok and very welcome change also with this amount of miners.

It looks like many pepoles do not understand this diff / vardiff case at all. There is lot of misunderstooding  in this. Partially due to lot (and more) disinformations around of forums.

But I hope wafflepool admin keep his head calm. Poples who know - I mean know - mostly they do not rant about this at all.  Who do not believe this, he need refresh lessons of statistics.

This image is one nice example.
More short time variations but nothing else  and no any negative effect.  Just do not spend your time and stress and disturb your mind with looking every minute and hour your hasrates. Well adjusted good machines do not need human watching all over time. Leave them do work and just "Do not disturb your employees when they are working."

(This image is not from my test rig! This is from MisterWill link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433634.msg5287138#msg5287138  )

What is loosed after change to fixed 512 diff. Just nothing or...  On the contrary - it may produce more (profit) for all of us. Even for low hashrate miners.

... and why on earth are you running CGminer 3.1.0?

Same question.

I have experience only with R9 280X GPU's  with Windows 7 -64
(16 GPU,s in four rig (15 running and one GPU disabled -- waiting new fans))

CGminer 3.7.2 - Kalroth edition, works like charm (of course if settings are ok)

yes I have tried also others and with this Kalroth stability and result is best without any hassle (after find all many settings optimized). Previously MC now waffle...

It can find here: http://k-dev.net/cgminer/
Version 2014-02-04 (Windows)
3.7.2 but in run it show 3.7.3
Also it is good to least read  about  "Lantis' optimized scrypt binaries".

Please repair eu server!
