181  Economy / Reputation / Re: Only UMG aka GluttonyY could do this. on: June 06, 2024, 06:07:59 AM
So this is a huge facepalm and a big lol at the same time.

Based on his recent posts, the guy seems to be having a mental breakdown of some sort.

Shutup, idiot. Yea crypto battles are a scam! Traffic shake, diamond milkshake.

Cyrus, I am asking you please ban me from the forum.

I have abused several, rules, and cannot contain myself, from these filthy users, degrading my platforms.

I still have to go through all the related threads to get the full picture, but from what I've seen so far, he's showing clear signs of scammer-like behavior, and I've supported both flags as a warning for newbies.
182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A question about trading liquidity on: June 02, 2024, 08:51:32 PM
Uh, that's not quite how liquidity works...  Liquidity is more about how easily you can buy and sell that coin, not the difference between your buy and sell price.  So, even if you lost $10 because of a bad market, that doesn't mean liquidity itself was $10.

As for the project profiting, that's a whole different story. The project itself doesn't really care about your individual trades. They only profit if they sell new coins, not from what happens on the secondary market (where people like us buy and sell from each other).

The profit definitely goes to whoever buys low and sells high, not because of liquidity, but because they timed the market well.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: June 02, 2024, 05:05:44 PM
Well I think lottery would be best for me or sportsbetting especially combat sports. In lottery you only have to spend cents to buy a ticket but it has huge jackpot if you guessed the right combinations
<snip>

Yes, the ticket is only a few cents and the jackpot is huge, but do you know the chances of winning it? The odds of winning the lottery jackpot are incredibly small, often in the millions or even hundreds of millions to one.  I think I read somewhere that you've got a better chance of getting struck by lightning, twice!, than winning the lottery jackpot.
So, no. I don't consider the lottery a good gamble (if there is such a thing). I agree about sports betting, though.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found This Stupid Promotion Circulating on Social Media on: June 02, 2024, 04:23:08 PM
I definitely still have faith in bitcoin.  I mean, why wouldn't I? It's the OG crypto that started this whole revolution.  Of course I convert some of my paychecks for more sats when I can too.  I ain't really about those memecoins though.  Seems like a waste to me and  the newbies probably think they missed the BTC train so they throw their money at the latest hot coin hoping to catch lightning in a bottle twice.  But you know whats funny? Folks said the same thing in 2021, 2017, and so on.  And they were dead wrong every time.

People will not help me even I give all proof. I am struggling and trying to find some sort of support

Proof of what, exactly?  And what kind of support did you expect here?  Struggles are real, but that doesn't mean people owe you something.

Now, if you're truly trying to find your way out, that's a different story.  Tell us more about what kind of support you actually need. I can offer moral support for honest effort, even some advice if it's in my field and relevant to my skills. But expecting a free handout? That's not gonna happen here, and frankly, that's disrespectful to people who work hard for their money.

Could you give me the link of ANN section?

You can offer your services here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

But, if you want people to take notice, you'll need a much stronger advertising strategy. Look at how other users promote their services on the forum - that's where you should be aiming.
186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get a crypto asset? on: June 02, 2024, 01:08:29 PM
Yes, I am trying to work hard. But I am not being able to recover everything. So, I am asking for help. This help may be followings -

1. Giving online job
2. Giving ideas
3. Others whatever is possible

1. This isn't a good way to look for a job online, my friend. Companies hiring skilled workers aren't exactly scouring forums for top talent. You seem to be old enough to know that it doesn't work that way.

2. Sorry. I can't answer this without being rudely sarcastic.

3. This sounds suspiciously like hoping for a magic solution. Are you thinking of asking someone to give you their hard-earned money? Why would anyone do that?
187  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Magazine first issue for sale on: June 02, 2024, 12:45:58 PM
Hi, I'm looking for the first issue of Bitcoin Magazine. Does anyone have a sealed copy they would like to sell for a fair price? Would be a birthday present for a friend who is a bitcoin fan. I am on my way to becoming one  Grin

That will make a very nice birthday present! I wish I had a friend like that.  Wink

188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there any no gui bitcoin core on: June 02, 2024, 12:37:59 PM
I recently try to build a solo mining pool of bitcoin for privacy reason. However, there are no no gui version of bitcoin core so I have no idea how to ues to deamon of that.Is there any open source no gui core recommend for me. THX

First, Bitcoin Core itself is a full node wallet software, not a mining program.

Second, if you're struggling with the concept of a daemon, trying to set up a solo mining might be a bigger challenge than you think.  Perhaps you should try to describe in more detail what you've tried so far, and we can see if there's a simpler solution or point you towards some resources for solo mining that  do make sense for beginners.
189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get a crypto asset? on: June 02, 2024, 12:16:15 PM
Please try to understand my problem. I can share you my personal details if required. Then you will understand my current situation

And, what's your actual problem here? I read your sob story, but honestly, it's all muddled. Debt, right? Welcome to the real world, everyone's got bills. Stop whining and do what the rest of us do: use your skills and work hard for your money.

I am telling you I am not a scammer. I am in a big debt so, I am trying my level best

That's good! But not being a scammer is a baseline expectation, not a gold star.  Maybe you should try that "level best" by actually  work for your money instead of spinning sob stories.
190  Economy / Lending / Re: $20 debt on: June 02, 2024, 08:52:55 AM
thanks

Newbies, like yourself, are generally not eligible for a loan without proper collateral.

Since your account's only ten days old and this is your first post, it looks like an alt account. Why not try applying with your main account? If you have some activity there, you might have better luck getting a loan.
191  Other / Meta / Re: Lol on: June 01, 2024, 10:17:47 PM
We will have to accept the inevitable, one day it will not be stopped that is the direction technology is taking us. Eventually AI will be utilised to a level (or standard) where detection will be extremely difficult or near impossible. Even those AI posts that will end up getting flagged will have their authors contesting them protesting innocence.

Well, that means the only thing left for us is to continue detecting and reporting shitposting. As long as the forum keeps those rules in place and the mods are on the ball with reported stuff, we can definitely put up a good fight against AI-generated junk.  Speaking of which, it might be a good idea for mods to use sig-ban and temp-ban penalties more often for repeat offenders.
192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kicking/banning and or limiting a player for winning too much on: June 01, 2024, 09:53:13 PM
Now, I just want to ask us, if you own a casino, and a particularly customer is always winning, winning and winning, would you kick/ban the customer, or limit him or her?
And why please?

Why do casinos limit or ban a user when he or she is winning too much, but do not do the same when the user is losing too much as well?

A business is a business. All casinos cap the wins to keep things going.

There is nothing strange in that story with your friend. Something similar would happen at any other casino, except, as you said yourself, he should not have created a new account to bypass the restriction. This is a clear violation of the terms of use and they have every right to block his accounts. There's not much to complain about, unfortunately.

194  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: May 30, 2024, 07:02:47 AM
Loše vijesti iz jedne od najdugovječnijih kampanja na forumu. Hhampuz je odlučio privremeno pauzirati FreeBitco.in sig. kampanju dok se TheQuin ne javi.

There's been an increasing number of concerns and reports about withdraws not going through on freebitcoin at the moment. I have requested TheQuin to give me an update or to post one publicly and until that happens I'm afraid I have to put this campaign on HOLD and would like to ask you all to remove your signatures and avatars for the time being. I am aware that a week has already begun and I will take care of you all regardless of the outcome.
195  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: May 30, 2024, 06:56:11 AM
I still like the WoF spins that we get for holding the FUN tokens as it gives some decent rewards.
But then what's the point if the value of FUN tokens keeps depreciating over time.
The intrinsic value of FUN token isn't coming to limelight to be honest.
I just looked it out whether the team is making any advancements and I got to know that it has been trying to do various partnerships with various new projects.
One of them is "puffverse" which has become a partner of FUN but all these partnerships aren't working out well for FUN.

When they mentioned they would be focusing more on GameFi, I expected something more substantial than some meaningless partnerships where they give some tokens to players in a third party game through lootboxes. It might give them a bit of exposure but it does nothing to increase the utility or value of the token. The WOF rewards are decent compared to the faucet, but it is still not enough to make up for the losses from holding the token.

Yep. I cant say I'm optimistic about FUN's long-term prospects at this point. The price keeps sliding lower and lower.  Most casino coins are kinda like that unfortunately - the developers don't add more utility or try to boost demand.  A token needs more going for it than just gambling to keep growing.

edit:
At least, some good news! Users in the main thread are reporting that withdrawals from the site are working again.
196  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Bitcoin bankomati i fizičke kripto mjenjačnice u Hrvatskoj... i šire on: May 27, 2024, 06:35:20 AM

Wink
197  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Bitcoin bankomati i fizičke kripto mjenjačnice u Hrvatskoj... i šire on: May 26, 2024, 01:27:31 PM

Google: 1 $ = 0,92 EUR
shitcoins.club: 1 USDT = 0.91733 EUR

198  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Bitcoin bankomati i fizičke kripto mjenjačnice u Hrvatskoj... i šire on: May 26, 2024, 12:08:08 PM
Ovisi ti i o valuti koju mijenjaš.

199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Input from community on transfer fees on: May 26, 2024, 11:28:37 AM
As far as UTXOs go, that's a paradigm I don't quite understand yet.
I thought I was doing a good thing by buying Sats whenever I got paid, but now some are telling me that is a bad thing.  This is worrisome.

Not necessarily a bad thing. Buying satoshis in small amounts and accumulating multiple transactions of small amounts only affects your transaction fee in the future if it is your own non-custodial wallet. But since you bought satoshis on a centralized exchange, it has no effect. The amount of the withdrawal fee in your case depends solely on the exchange and their internal policy. You can't influence that, except you can decide to exchange BTC for some altcoin that has a lower withdrawal fee.

And 'Consolidating Inputs' ...I have no idea what that is.
I guess I truly am a newbie when it comes to BTC  *facepalm*

Again, this is related to holding coins in a non-custodial wallet. "Consolidating Inputs" is basically combining multiple small transactions (UTXOs) into a single larger transaction. This can help you save on transaction fees in the future. Bitcoins are like bills and coins in your physical wallet. Imagine you have a wallet full of one dollar bills. Consolidating inputs is like exchanging a hundred one dollar bills for one $100 bill. Just as a $100 bill takes up less space in your wallet, so a Bitcoin transaction with a smaller number of inputs takes up less space on the network, and for that reason the fee for the transaction is lower.

What do you think?

Since there is zero chance your brother can get his coins back, I see no point in communicating with the scammers at all. Honestly, I think the best course of action is to completely ignore it.
