Multipools:
Pool.mn
Obfuscode.Net
may need to remove it? These pools do not work.

+1

Done.

OP also updated with the updated donation status. Many thanks to those who donated, we are putting them into good use.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | MANDATORY Wallet 2.0 | Premine Voided | Back on Exchanges on: May 11, 2014, 04:54:48 PM
So we will have multipul or not?
After all, this is elementary, multipul buying coins and their price rises accordingly!

Yes of course. We are working on our dedicated multipool and HashCo.ws has agreed to add AC to their payout options. I will announce when they do, should be very soon.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | MANDATORY Wallet 2.0 | Premine Voided | Back on Exchanges on: May 11, 2014, 01:44:57 PM
I just wonder how many millions of coins got send from the premined addresses to keep dumping on the market.
How many more hidden blocks are people gonna find.
This show runs it's course way too smooth.
I don't have a prove and I'm not a programmer to research these things but I believe it's fair to warn traders for these scenario's possibly to unfold.

You guys will have a hard time to regain trust so just incase you are totally legit and fair and have nothing to do with past crime on this coin then I wish you goodluck.
Time will tell.

30 millions of the premine were used (for giveaways, bounties and dumped on exchanges). There are no more hidden blocks (we manually checked but resources are out there, anyone can check). This is confirmed by independent developers too. You're always welcome to see the source code too.

Like I said, ask the questions you may have, and we're happy to answer. According to you the fact that we're trying to be as transparent as possible, answer all questions, be respectful which leads to a smooth show is evidence to doubt our intentions and in favor of us being scammers. Interesting.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC] AsiaCoin | MANDATORY Wallet 2.0 | Premine Voided | Back on Exchanges on: May 11, 2014, 01:07:47 PM
Foul me once, shame on you. Foul me twice, shame on me.
Once a scumcoin always a scumcoin. Even a donkey does not bump his head against the same stone twice.

This so called revival is probably well orchestrated and premeditated by the original scammer. I have never and will never buy even 1 coin.
Just a fair warning to believers. If you lost money on this, take it as a man and be gone.

High risk investment warning, scam potentially continueing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, we don't know who the original developer is, it could be us, it could be you or anyone. I want to add what I've always said in the past week, in case you or readers have missed them.

  • Our source code is out there, we always encouraged people to look at the source code, use tools like winmerge to compare it line by line with other PoS coins such as BC or Cinni to see if there's anything else hidden on the code.
  • We encouraged people to ask questions that they may have, and always answered them respectfully (while questions/accusations have not always been respectful). I doubt you'd see a coin here with more responsive developers than the revived AC
  • Look at our past, we're just people who stood up for everyone when someone needed to step up, you can see the whole process (though you can claim it was all orchestrated lol)
  • See our transparency
  • Observed what we've done so far, and what we're doing

In the end, it's up to the people to decide what they want to do. And those who are coming here to call us scammers (or even the original scammer) and telling that they've dumped right after exchanges relisted AC, you're welcome. Our efforts (the community) made your investment worth something again, and for that, you're welcome Smiley
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoS difficulty interpretation on: May 11, 2014, 12:26:39 PM
My question is academic, I just want to know what PoS difficulty variable refers to Smiley

I know the criticisms of PoS and a comparison of other features of PoS vs PoW was not really my question. Thanks anyway for taking the time to respond and the link too.

From
http://www.peercoin.net/minting

Your stake is calculated from this coin age, measured by last transaction, and multiplied with the amount of coins (time * coins).

Not sure if the variable you refer is exactly that number

Thanks, but again, that's the most obvious thing. I clearly wasn't asking how someone's stake is being calculated.

Thanks anyway, anyway.

I am going to buy some Asia Coin, I believe in the new dev.
I also believe in the new dev. Although i don't know nobody from theirs team it's clear to see that they really fill the plan. It doesnt matter what someone says, but what someone is doing. I know that this is beginning of the road to rebuild trust, buy maybe that's why we will earn the most Smiley

Third place in volume on bter Cheesy

It's true that we have a great plan. Right now we are building our core team by members who are committed to long term support of AsiaCoin in different aspects of development and marketing but of course we need support from the community, and you can support us in many ways:

  • Helping us out. We need volunteers for development and marketing. You don't need to be an expert, this could be a great learning opportunity, as it has been for me personally and for a lot of us that are helping out. You want to be part of something bigger, well, we need you.
  • By buying Asia Coin, and staking. You will be rewarded handsomely for it because of our very high stake rate, and you will help stabilizing the market and deriving the price higher, adding value to your investments
  • By not dumping all you have on the market, obviously if you've seen positive progress with our work.
  • Lastly, by making donations, so that we can pay bounties to professionals to add features and value to our ecosystem, like adding new features to the wallet, further promoting AC in the media, paying for marketing campaigns, wallets for mobile platforms, operational and development costs of the multipool, etc.

OP updated with new donations status and how we so far have spent them.

Xuorc, we received your donation too.

189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / PoS difficulty interpretation on: May 11, 2014, 08:49:29 AM
I was wondering how to interpret PoS difficulty? The output of getdifficulty from the daemon gives out some numbers, but exactly what do they mean?

I can understand that it probably means the higher it is, the higher the percentage of coins that are staking, but any way to quantify it to a percentage number, or at least to compare different PoS coins together with some quantification?

Also, what does "search-interval" mean?

BlackCoin:
Code:
{
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00024414,
"search-interval" : 0
}

CinniCoin:
Code:
{
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00025578,
"search-interval" : 0
}

AsiaCoin:
Code:
{
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00491016,
"search-interval" : 1
}

It seems like it's a variable to keep the block time independent of the number of coin who are staking, same as PoW difficulty, so in theory it should be able to somehow provide some sort of insight on how many coins are staking, same way as PoW difficulty can provide insight on the overall hashrate of the network. I just want that connection between the difficulty and the number of coins that are staking.

Thanks Smiley
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official AsiaCoin | MANDATORY Wallet Update 2.0 | Premine Voided on: May 11, 2014, 08:12:29 AM
If I sent out some AC, will it use the newest coin or oldest coin?

With the clients that don't have Coin Control features (ours included), I don't know. With the clients that do have it, you can select which coins to send out. That's why we will add coin control feature in a future non-mandatory wallet update.

If your coins are already staking, they will not be sent out until all non-staking coins are out. If your coins are not yet mature for staking (say you have two deposits, one 10 days ago and one 2 days ago), I don't know whether the newest coins will be sent.

I'll try to contact them but HashCo.ws should be up and running very soon.

Edit: I contacted them on behalf of the development team, waiting for their response.

I've updated the wallet for the dice site, please give it a shot Smiley!

http://asiacoindice.supercrypt.co/

The logo should be updated to reflect the new one shortly.

Kudos to the devs of this revival project, it's amazing to see this happening! Smiley

I gave it to them in DM.

Ok I'm confused now... The OP clearly says new wallet is ready for download, and the source is out as well? I compiled the source from github for the dice site and then released it. Should this not be done?

Sorry I quoted the wrong message Grin I meant to quote this:

Bittrex @BittrexExchange · 4h

@AsiaCoin_ do you have a new blockexplorer?

possible Mintpal and Cryptsy also wait for blockexplorer

some days ago new blockexplorer was alredy up and running

interesting what happened

I gave it to them in DM. The old block explorer goes up and down, it was put up for us by mullick on a temporary server so we can't be sure that it's constantly up. We are working on two independent block explorers now.

"minting suspended due to lock wallet?"

what do i need to do to stake?

i already setup a passphrase, i already type walletpassphrase YourPassphrase 9999999 true (own password)

"then it says minting suspended due to lock wallet"

tried to lock the wallet but after i type walletpassphrase YourPassphrase 9999999 true (own password), nothing happens nor info.

If you have coins that are mature for staking, when  you enter the walletpassphrase command it should start to mint. If not, it means your coins are not yet mature for staking. The "Minting suspended due to locked wallet" message will disappear within 1 minute of entering the passphrase.

On Mintpal: We can't, as the development team, contact them once every hour to ask for progress when they've already told us that they're working on it. What all of us as individuals can do is to ask them on Twitter.

I'm personally in no rush to get on Mintpal or Cryptsy ASAP. We are on every other exchange and we have a healthy volume at a stable price and I wouldn't mind if we kept it like this for even a few days. I understand that the situation might not be ideal especially if you have coins at Cryptsy, but again, what you can do is ask them on Twitter, they will follow where volume leads.

If I download the new wallet, will my coins that have been deposited from the exchange (on the 1st) still stake on the 14th(ish)?

Thanks.

Yes they will stake 2 weeks after their last transaction regardless of wallet version.

Our market cap is nearly at $690,000 (~1529 BTC). We are indeed in the top 30 coins now. The journey to top 20 begins now.

bittrex market Disabled

It's just a technical issue on their side, it will be back up.

Can you also look into adding coin control to the wallet? It's odd that a staking coin doesn't come with that when other PoW coins out there support it.

Yes. That's in our plans. Stay tuned.
