There are two reasons for players to excluded from the IPL which are injuries/personal reasons and other one is to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The recent one to add into the list Big Show Maxwell but he didn't had great IPL cause he only crossed the single digit runs only once in his 6 appearance.
BCCI should look into this, players make available themselves at the time of Auction and get millions then decided to take a break is not fair on the franchise.
There should be contracts based on their total appearances and if they decide to leave in middle then they only have to be paid for their appearances.
I don't think that either Cummins or Starc are going to leave their respective franchises. Both of them received bids of close to $3 million per year, which is manytimes what the CA would pay them for the annual contracts. So unless the franchises ask them to take the leave, they are not going to do that. In case of players such as Zampa and Roy, it is understandable given their low salaries at the IPL. That said, Starc is yet to establish himself at the IPL. Even during the last match, he went for 4-0-50-0. |

I am sure this pitch would get criticized as well and rightly so. Scorelines of 250+ and under 100 are 2 extremes and the pitch curator should avoid this in the T-20 format, otherwise, it won't be fun anymore. The problem here is that the curator who made 250+ is going to get accolades, while the one who created the pitch for today's match is going to get brickbats. T20 has changed, for better or the worse. 200 plus totals are the norm now. Yesterday we saw how the Royals chased down a target of 224. That makes today's match an exception. Capitals are not going to complain, as they benefitted from it. And I am not sure what the Titans can do about it, as this was a home match for their team and the curator took instructions from them. |

I disagree, most of the world cup winners all had star players so far in the world. Lets take a look at the world cup winners all together, Argentina, who had Messi and France who had Mbappe and Germany who had Klose and so forth and so forth.
You could argue that all these players had star teammates along with them, so you could say that team matters, but you can't tell me that a team could win without a star player, every single team that won world cup had at least one star player, maybe more. This is why I believe that you are going to need star players. Sure Messi had Di maria, or others had other help, but there was always a star player anytime any team won. It is more possible to have teams filled with star players.
I noted something here. You have mentioned the names of Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi in this post. But you never mentioned the name of Cristiano Ronaldo. He is perhaps more skilled when compared to the other two. But unfortunately, his team (Portugal) could not perform well in major FIFA tournaments. For that matter, Mbappé the world cup for France in 2018 but failed in 2022. But at least he was in the team that entered the finals in 2022. |

In Group A, Nepal vs Qatar game was concluded today and this was the 6 th game and other game was also ended on same day Saudia Arabia team vs Malaysia team. 1 st game was more exciting and intense than other game because Nepal effort in this game was commendable and their target in game was outstanding. First Nepal won toss and gave a bowling chance to opponent team Qatar and this game was held on Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket Stadium and Nepal team made 210 runs target in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets and this target waa not possible to chase. Qatar team lost this game by 32 runs and only chased 178 runs by losing wickets. D.Airee was alrounder player got a player of game award in bowling he took down 2 wickets and in batting he scored 64 runs. A.Sheikh scored 52 runs from 41 balls with six 4s and his effort was also very excellent. M.Tanveer struggle also very outstanding and scored 63 runs from Qatar team side but his effort was not beneficial for team. Congratulations Nepal team  One thing that I don't like is the fact that only one out of the 10 participating teams will qualify for the 2025 Asia Cup competition. They could have given slots for 2 more teams. But then, most of the teams apart from Nepal doesn't have any native players and therefore they are not supported by anyone in the countries which they represent. Nepal and Malaysia are two teams with native players who have progressed quite well in recent times. And then there are Indonesia and Iran, who are making rapid progress. |
