We just rolled out some tiny changes.

Changelog:

 * Autobet: Stop @ Loss/Win removed. Many users didn't understand it was per session and some people were losing much more than they anticipated as the system stops at that loss or greater, so let's say you made a few coins but were using a 100% multiplier it would potentially be possible to do a 20BTC bet with a 0.01 stoploss and end negative 15+ despite that stoploss. This isn't really an unintended error as the system is designed to stop at the defined loss or greater but many users were utilizing this with massive amounts and losing more than anticipated when not watching closely.

Yeah right  Roll Eyes

How is it possible to do a 20BTC bet with 100% increase and a 0.01 stop loss ?  Last time I checked 2 * 0.01 = 0.02 and that's where it should stop. You guys either changed the way it works without notifying anyone, or it was just lazy coding. Either way it's plain and simply your fault. Funny how the stop profit will stop in negative because it counts total profit from that autobet session. Yet a bet with loss multiplier & 0.01 stop loss can magically go up to 9BTC. I call bullshit. If it worked the way it was supposed to you wouldn't have even removed it. It's called a fucking tooltip or note..

If u have balance 1btc and run autobet with stop loss 0.1 btc , and ur autobet goes , and goes , and goes , and at some point u have 10btc on balance, ur autobet will continue till u have 0.9btc coz that is the point when u lose that 0.1 btc that u set.

I think it was coded like that. I might be wrong . I didn't rly speak with dev about it , and didn't test it properly , and now its gone so i can't check if that is correct .

Like I said, lazy ass coding.  Why would anyone set it up like that?
...Oh yeah, either to make people accidentally lose a shit load of money, or pure ignorance..

Not only that but his session profit wasn't even 20BTC when it happened -- he was playing over a period of days.

So this is obviously a coding issue and they don't want to admit it because this has happened more than once to a high roller.
Why else would they remove the code if it "worked properly", instead of a adding a warning, note or tooltip?
Because he's full of shit

The devs need to get off their lazy asses and actually start implementing new features.

Adding hotkeys, rewriting a simple bot, etc takes 5 fucking minutes.
Since you know how much time it takes, you have to know how to code. Why don't you do it in 5 minutes?

Uhmm I wrote hotkeys and a bot with a full GUI and way more features that actually work. They are LAZY. Plain and simple.

Bot -  http://pastebin.com/nqdJ85SN
Hotkeys (just needs a toggle) - http://pastebin.com/uBSK6Qip

We were also promised instant bets, but now they are even slower than PD2. (seriously, 2 per second?).

Oh yeah I forgot it's because of "lag and faucet farming". Give me a break, I was throwing 300-500 bets a second during launch while hundreds were online with 0 effect on server response.

Why can't you set your own client seed...?

By now you can randomize you Client Seed, why need to manually set?

Because it doesn't even change the seed? Not even directly with AJAX.

It needs to be manually set because that's what makes it provably fair.

You could be selective hashing for all we know. And it's really starting to feel that way. I win 20x 100 times in a row with 100 satoshi but as soon as I raise my bet to over 1000 I hit one every 50 rolls.

192  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BikiniDice is launched! on: October 21, 2014, 08:15:19 AM
think the server seed is theoretically generator for each draw.
Well duh. My point is: the requests are processing asynchronously instead of synchronously.
193  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BikiniDice is launched! on: October 21, 2014, 07:50:23 AM
Now, you know...

So please stop discredit us without reason.

It's OK, I used to cut out pictures from swimwear catalogues when I was a kid too, and I certainly never asked permission.
I like how he replies to this but not actual feedback. I also thought the whole bikini thing was funny. Tits aren't anything special after seeing them IRL 1000 times.

To BikiniDice:

Do you even have a check implemented to stop the reuse of server seeds? I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I hit the same roll number twice in a row at least 5 times when betting fast.. You should add a method to filter those out because the database can't keep up with the requests.
194  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BikiniDice is launched! on: October 19, 2014, 09:52:30 PM
"You BTC balance must be 0.00000000"

Fixed with "Your..."  Grin

Hahaha I meant the faucet wasn't working but I did notice the grammar Grin I just ended up depositing then it worked after I cashed out.

There was another spelling error with cashouts but I forget what it was.

On a side note, I really like the site. The Bikini Roll game is awesome. I love being able to choose: ex. between 9-19 for 10x.
The instant rolls are what really got me though.

Is there anyway you could implement user stats soon? Even if they are private. I like keeping track of my total bets, profit etc.  And would botting be acceptable? (Not botting the faucet, botting with my own funds)

I would if I had some spare time. I love the idea of a rails betting site. It's a great framework.

Here's a nice head start:
https://github.com/lian/bitcoin-ruby

Its kind of outdated. Dont you think bitcoin-client would be a better gem?
It's actually newer. It was last updated 11 days ago. I also think this gem has more functionality compared to bitcoin-client.

It has a really nice API with script support, etc.

why would you make a new account for each transaction...just curious....:\
Why are you even here?  You're just a troll that complains about everything. Did you lose 10000 satoshi?
198  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: October 16, 2014, 06:06:07 AM

The thing about TOR is that two people can have the same IP especially when there is network congestion. I've had times where Vidalia assigned me the same IP on two different computers. Not only that but I've also had times where I have to switch my identity 10 times just to get a new IP.

While I fully understand what you're saying it has nothing to do with this. AK claimed to have been running an exit node.

Because you can be using the same IP address as an exit node. Hence TorBlock etc..

AK had the same IP address for months. He wasn't using Tor, it was his own IP address. He wasn't running a Tor exit node.

He regularly moves around hundreds if not thousands of bitcoins. To now say that his PC is probably full of malware seems weird. People with thousands of bitcoin don't knowingly use malware-infected machines. And the kinds of malware you get from installing dodgy cryptocoin clients quickly separates you from your coins.

We see on the blockchain that AK withdrew 970 BTC from dice.ninja to PrimeDice alone in nights.

AK, can we get the dice.ninja deposit addresses that put those coins into your DN accounts please?

Okay I have to admit the malware thing is kind of weird. I read through his post too fast and didn't see that. Why would ANYONE remotely access their mining rigs if they think their PC is infected? He's either completely full of shit, careless, desperate to convince people, or all of the above.

Okay, I'm going to address some of your conspiracy theories:

1) the IP addresses

I don't know why DMF appears to have posted messages to several other dice sites with the same IP address as me.  I can think of a number of ways this might have taken place, but they are all speculation on my part.  Yes I do occasionally run a TOR exit node, yes I have in the past ran other types of proxy servers off of my computers.  I've installed hundreds of coin clients and daemons, some of which may have been infected with who knows what, on my machines, as well as remote desktop software and remote access software mostly for monitoring and pool switching for my mining rigs.  I don't even know how hard it would be to spoof an IP address (if that's even possible).

You all are demanding that I explain how and why this happened when the fact of the matter is that I didn't even know it had happened until it was brought up here.  Your guess is as good as mine.

2) Deposits and withdrawals from dice ninja

In retrospect this was probably very foolish behavior on my part, but yes I used ninja like a web wallet.  I did this because, unlike other sites, I hardly ever had to wait for a withdrawal and when I did it was only for a few minutes.  I had many accounts on ninja, the same as on other sites that I've played on.  I wouldn't be surprised if half of the coins on that site at one point or another belonged to me.

Whenever I wanted to withdraw from somewhere I had been playing, I would open a browser to ninja (which would make a new account, because I usually logged out when I was done there,) deposit some coins and then use the chat commands to send them to my main account.

3) Primedice

In total, I lost around 425 coins on primedice.  Looking at it right now, I see 5 of my accounts in the leaderboards there, the biggest being: blarghblah, DeanNolan, and AKCoinMiner.  I am 100-200 coins positive on a number of these.

Here are a few withdrawals I made from primedice that ended up in ninja's cold wallet:

4) Bit-loot and huntercoin project

Yes, I studied computer science when I was younger and I know how to program.  I wrote bit-loot a few years ago in PHP and it was a complete disaster, I lost a shitload of LTC because I didn't really know what I was doing.

Yes, I worked on a huntercoin client similar to mithrilman's that I never got working 100%.

5) My dice career

I will be the first to admit that when it comes to gambling I have a problem, which waxes and wanes in severity over time.  This is something very personal to me, and something of which I am not proud.  It all started, as I'm sure it did for many of you as well, on satoshidice.

The last time I battled this demon was on doge-dice when, after winning around 80M dogecoins one day, I began a downward spiral that resulted in my losing a lot of money under other nicknames on both doge-dice and just-dice.  More recently, it was fueled by winning big on JPCDice, and got completely out of control after winning a large number of coins on first dicebitco.in and then dice.ninja.  The end result is that I gambled away all of my winnings and a lot of my own coins that I had intended for other purposes.

6) What happened at dice.ninja:

I DON'T KNOW

I gambled on that site, won in total around 120 coins, and was in their sig campaign, that's it.  I kept a reckless number of coins there over the last few weeks, most of which I withdrew to primedice (and lost) the day before the site disappeared.

I don't know what else you want me to say.  You've got the wrong guy.

I've always been nice to my fellow degens in the gambling community.  I've shared my winnings and kept my losses to myself.  I've spent hours consoling anguished players who lost big.  I've loaned coins and forgiven debts.  I've personally hunted and publicly unmasked scam site operators from my personal account, which is attached to my real name, when everyone who helped in the detective work was too afraid to do it themselves.

And all it took was some circumstantial evidence in a few chat logs, most of which is on a site that I've never even fucking played on to get you to all point your pitchforks at me?  Fuck you guys.

The thing about TOR is that two people can have the same IP especially when there is network congestion. I've had times where Vidalia assigned me the same IP on two different computers. Not only that but I've also had times where I have to switch my identity 10 times just to get a new IP.

AK has no reason to steal anyones coins. I'm not a puppet and I don't even know AK too well, but I know for a fact he isn't DMF.
AK is a good guy and he's even given people 1btc tips after big wins.

Even if he has a gambling problem, he has the coins to back it up. Not that it justifies his addiction, but get real, do you think stealing peoples coins would even be worth it to him? People have his address, phone, etc.
