181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 24, 2017, 11:45:51 AM
it seems true to those who thinks that investing in bitcoin is easy, they all of a sudden quit their job, not knowing the basics of investing. we all know that investing using fiat money is already hard, and as fot bitcoin it is much conplicated, since unlike wall street, you cannot have financial advisers to assist you, no fund managers, and is always volatile, sinve their is no open or closing of the market. before quitting the job, one must first know how to invest so they can make a strategy.
Why do you need to quit your day job to start 'investing' in bitcoin? It is not like you need to
This is not time-consuming job not matter what you do, there is no amount of research which will help you to predict bitcoin price shifts and market direction.
If you have a stable source of income, then risking it by quitting your job to became bitcoin investor is not the brightest idea anyway.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The "I cannot afford 1 BTC"-Problem on: July 24, 2017, 11:17:16 AM
When I am discussion bitocin with my friends and people I meet occasionally and try to convince that BTC is something to invest into, this topic "how I can afford 1 BTC"  is always present.
From my experience, I can tell you that the best answer which can motivate people to buy bitcoin is telling them about bitcoin history and price evolution.
You need to assure them that current $2000-$3000 price is not the end of the read here and bitcoin will be much more expensive in the future, by no buying BTC they would miss a serious opportunity.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market crash on: July 21, 2017, 05:49:03 AM
Everyone Thing that bitcoin Market is crash but How it possible ? Hard Fork is update so bitcoin now slow but still now bitcoin is growing hurry in 1 August everyone see what is going on bitcoin market.
Nothing is gonna happen on August 1st since more than 93% miners started signalling SegWit through BIP91 and it is now locked in.
We can say already that USAF won't be needed and won't happen, there won't be chain split, and the future looks really bright.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market crash on: July 21, 2017, 04:49:06 AM
This happens when people easily believe what other people say.

Well it also depends on how other people interprets the situation. But somehow I do agree, Without them doing some research and/or study could really led in this kind of situations. Where they're force to sell w/o having any thoughts about what could might happen.
Sometimes no amount of research will get your full understanding of the situation. We can only count that something might or may not happen.
Imagine a situation where miners instead of locking in SegWit through BIP91 would in the last moment boycott it instead.
It would easily crash Bitcoin's price to sub $1000 level. Instead we have a positive outcome and hopefully, the price won't be influenced by FUD about failed scaling.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: July 21, 2017, 03:50:52 AM
The price is cheaper yes, however the minimum bet of 0.22 ETH, is still worth around 45$ which is a lot of money.
I don't think it will create much more bets on vDice, because of the price of the bet.
ETH price will soon get even more expensive, it seems that Bitcoin miners finally reached consensus and locked in BIP91
This move brought back optimism and bolster faith in whole cryptocurrency, just take a look at general market capitalization of crypto market:
https://coinmarketcap.com/ - every single coin is in green, Bitcoin will soon cross $3000 or more and ETH will follow.
And we still have minimum bet of 0.22 ETH on vDice...
186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 21, 2017, 02:57:02 AM
The only way for Op to get something out of his $100 would be:

1. Buy bitcoin and hope that $100 worth BTC today will be really expensive in the future. Which may or may not happen.
2. Risk it even harder and buy a bunch of unknown, cheap yet promising altcoins and hope that some of them would follow Bitcoin's path.

I am afraid that conventional thinking and standard investing won't make you rich if your initial investing capital is just $100.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Raising, price recovery on: July 21, 2017, 02:21:56 AM
So there were agree that making BTC price stability is more important than worrying about SegWit issue.
There is no more SegWit issue, there won't be USAF activated on August 1st.
That is the reason why investors are reacting positively and whole cryptocurrency market, not only bitcoin is enthusiastic.
Be smart guys, this is the last stop when you will be ever able to buy Bitcoin for less than $2000. Don't miss this opportunity.
188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Qatar is still the richest country in the world on: July 21, 2017, 02:05:08 AM
Average wages in Qatar stands at $129,112 per head, which is almost double of that in the United States.

What? I knew it was high but I didn't know it was THAT high. No wonder alot of people go overseas and work there.

I did a bit of research on Qatar's economy, it says that taxable income generally is subject to a flat (CIT) rate of 10%. That's alot lower than I expected with that high of an average wage.
This is a reason Qatar is so successful, western economists and politics can't handle the truth - the fewer taxes they impose on society the better everything will work.
In Europe, there is corporate TAX, maximum income tax rate and VAT, not to mention other types of 'hidden' taxes and fees.
How can you survive when more than 50% of your income goes back to the state?
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin split on 1th august or no? on: July 21, 2017, 01:49:19 AM
Lets just wait until August 1 then we will know what will happen.

No need. Split worries are now officially over. BIP 148 isn't going to be needed.
Bitcoin's price increased substantially over the period of last 24 hours - we have almost 20% price rise and soon we will have new ATH and BTC won't ever go back below $2000
This is how markets react to a successful scaling outcome, SegWit is now locked in and we are waiting only for its activation which will happen in ~300 blocks.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Should people not use BIP148, are BIP91 miners lying, and a 3 way fork! on: July 21, 2017, 01:20:09 AM
Miners kept their word and started signalling SegWit through BIP 91 and we have overwhelming victory -
CoinDance states that: BIP 91 has locked in with 93.1% and BIP 91 activation is scheduled to take place in: 349 blocks
I can't imagine a better outcome than this. Just look at the price of Bitcoin, it is recovered and soon we will reach new ATH.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x on: July 20, 2017, 10:38:48 AM
There is no 100% the best and ideal scaling solution, every single one of proposed upgrades had pros and cons.
Let's just say that in the case of SegWit2x the pros definitely outweigh the cons, I would call SegWit2x the most pragmatic scaling solution we have.
Bitcoin is so diversified that there will be always people who will hate certain scaling solution just because "it is not something that Satoshi would do".
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH becoming the biggest leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin has no future. on: July 19, 2017, 01:56:08 PM
Even Vitalik Buterin once said that he doesn't believe in the success of Ethereum and I fully support his words. Ethereum is a bad monetary system and good smart contract platform.
ETH is ICO based project with poor initial distribution, there is no guarantee that a number of available ETH tokens won't rise in the future.
Ethereum is centrally controlled, planned and managed coin - we have no idea what will happen to it when Vitalik or ETH Foundation will be gone in the future.
In the meantime bitcoin creator - Satoshi already left, so we are not risking anything like that with BTC.

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many coins do you have in your portfolio ? on: July 19, 2017, 01:37:21 PM
I might be boring, but I sell all my altcoins stash to buy BTC recently. Current BTC price is just simply too good to pass up.
After SegWit2x will be activated we will see the price of Bitcoin multiplied by 2x or 3x when that happens I sell some of my BTC to maybe rebuy some of the most promising altcoins.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 19, 2017, 01:28:06 PM
Bitcoin is an easy way to make money and anyone can use it as a way to make money. On this forum alone you can join signature campaigns, become a freelance writer, a coder or a graphic designer. Bitcoin is a good opportunity for a simple part time job and some people can even turn it into a full time job. I think bitcoin really does help unemployment, especially if that person is skilled in some areas.
Quite the contrary, bitcoin is not easy way to earn money at all. You either need to have very useful skills to be paid in BTC, or waste a hell of a time to earn some peanuts.
When I told my friend that you can earn some bitcoin by posting on bitcointak at first he was really impressed and seemed interested, but when he found out about rank requirements he gave up instantly.
After all, not everyone wants to spend more than a year to level up his/her bitcointalk account.
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do with your 'Bitcoin Cash'? on: July 18, 2017, 08:29:43 PM
They are still gonna signal BIP91, so that is a good thing but I have no idea why they decided to start with their shenanigans now.
Their forked coins will be immediately boycotted by everyone else and I don't care about it at all.
In the worst case scenario, it will be similar to the situation after ETH forked, the prime chain of EHT is now 25x more expensive than before forking.
196  Economy / Speculation / Re: where are you keeping your coins (1 aug) on: July 18, 2017, 08:16:37 PM
I am totally not scared about August 1 and therefore I won't even move my coins from my blockchain.info wallet
Of course, it is risky, but I have faith that there won't be any complications connected to scaling upgrade. Yolo!
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence Returning to Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2017, 08:07:45 PM
Nobody with even half a brain panic sold, it's always noobs & retards who fall for all the FUD crap. Just HODL for another few years, bitcoin will do what it's done long term, throughout its existence - RISE
I think the same - considering bitcoin's history holding Bitcoin is probably the best option overall.
Recently I heard that some speculators voiced an opinion that bitcoin's price won't be rising forever and soon we will reach a limit of the price or even backwards trend will appear.
I think that selling portion of your BTC and cashing out part of your stash would not be that bad, after all, we don't want to wait forever to collect fruits of our labour.

198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin Price going to rise smoothly now or will dip again before 1 Aug? on: July 18, 2017, 07:55:15 PM
I think it is a foolishness to predict the rate of BTC in this situation. Anything can happen, the price may get back to 1500+ or it may reach back to 2500$ in 2 days again. The question we have to ask everyone is whether segwit will improve the adaptation of Bitcoin?? What will happen if there happens a split??
+1
There is no one who can predict accurately what will happen, bitcoin price is not something that can be foretold by any standard research.
Using standard technical indicators or market assessment method simply won't work. There are always couple possible scenarios waiting to happen.
In the case of a split, there is no need to worry, bitcoin simply will follow Ethereum steps and gradually rise over time.
199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money 💰💰💰 on: July 17, 2017, 07:52:21 PM
Money is core element of our life because, frankly speaking, you can't live without it in modern society.
It is no longer about happiness money can bring but it's rather matter of survival.
Op, it is unfortunately not that rare to see people leaving their home to find a better job abroad.
I am afraid this is the only option when want to support your family and give them a lavish life.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATED: Segwit and the August 1st and SegWit2x fork explained in simple terms on: July 17, 2017, 07:09:20 PM
This discussion soon will become a battlefield of hate, like in every other case when different scaling solutions are being discussed.
Can we just agree that there is not 100% perfect scaling upgrade? There will be always people hating it because... reasons.
We will have SegWit activated whether you like it or not as some kind of scaling is needed ASAP. Deal with it and don't be bitter.
