All you did was take what was already in a forum post and put it on a website for monetary gain. Nothing wrong with that...just stating the facts.

Tried to register. It just keeps bringing me back to register page. So...I register again...no error...same thing.
Received no emails...nothing.

I want to sell my ATI Radeon HD5850 1GB Reference Design HD5850 with Accelero TwinTurbo Pro for 3.5 Bitcoin ( 3.5BTC ). I will take offers, but no low balling. I did not mine with it, it was my day to day card...I upgraded to a 6970 and this has just been lying around.
Email me offers, as I will be on military travel for a week. manofknight AT gmail DOT com

You could eliminate the pool hoppers by requiring miners to use your front end. (That's why I joined in the first place...) I don't think you should try do things the way other pools do. Clearly it's not working for them. Why overcomplicate things? The only problem with requiring the current front end is that the 5800 series is still not 100% optimized. While I use the front end for my 6970 series card, as it is the fastest available...one of my buddies uses it for his 5870 and is almost 90mh/s slower than me. The 5870 should be as fast or faster than my card using any miner. I know this is being worked on, but until it is resolved, it would be cruel to force individuals to use the front end if using a 5000 series card.

Hopefully we continue to solve blocks. One of my buddies was upset with the payout due to the unlucky block, I tried to explain how it works on smaller pools. He is still thinking about going back to BTCGuild...I am hoping he stays.

Man, hopefully we finish a block soon...the waiting is killing me.
Love the miner...actually have three people from work FINALLY getting into mining, as even at $7-8 it is still profitable for the casual miner.
The two I know of that are going to sign up have a 5870 and the other has a 4870. That should add roughly another 540Mh/s to the pool. If I can get the other two 5870's at work to join that would add another 900 Mh/s to the pool.

I don't necessarily agree with your statements.
If Bitcoin returns and doesn't crash for good...it could easily hit 20 again. The problem with bitcoin is people invested too quickly and the price went up too quickly. Right now it needs to be in the single digits to survive. Losses will come to those that invested high...but as long as speculators don't invest too heavily and bring the price up too quickly it will be easier to believe in the bitcoin. The big problem is how high it went and how fast it got there. We are talking THOUSANDS of percentage points in a year.

I pulled out @ $11.90 and am waiting for things to settle before I go back in.
LOL. I must be dirty minded. I had no idea where you were going with this. Of course you can always go back in for the same amount of bitcoins that you sold...buy them at a lower price...and enjoy your winnings.

Personally I believe bitcoins were raised in price too quickly because of the press. I would like to see them in the single digits for a while, it would make them more stable. For some reason when a person sees them drop from 10 to 8...it is harder than watching them drop from 8 to 6, even though percentage-wise the 8 to 6 was a larger drop. Bitcoins are still new and if they are to survive they must grow steadily and slowly, instead of in bursts.

Have any of these shipped yet? I would like to know as I wouldn't mind picking one up to assist my mining.
They arent 5850's. They are 6570's. Read the whole thread next time. I did actually read the entire article. It IS a misprint on their site but no one had confirmed what they were actually shipping. Actually Insight themselves don't even know what they are shipping as it is a direct from vendor shipment. The part number could very well be a misprint on the website and in their database. According to him no one can cancel their order without a 20% restocking fee..."you open it, you own it" were his exact words.

Can somebody suggest which 6950 would be best to buy? Do all of them unlock or are there certain ones that don't?
If you goto newegg and search '6950' it comes up with something like 23 results!!! All appear to be in stock. Prices ranging from $200 after MIR to $300. Only difference I can see is that some have varying OC settings from factory.
Only reference cards can be modded. NO NEW CARDS CAN BE MODDED. None. Don't believe what people will tell you. Only the first ones that came out that were reference cards had the dual bios and had the shaders that could be unlocked.
