Creators of the scam token Squid Game (SQUID) have become Shiba Inu (SHIB) whales. Apparently, the scammers have used their scam proceeds to buy SHIB tokens, a SHIBArmy‘s Twitter post says. According to the post, a purchase of 3 million SHIB tokens worth $125 million was traced back to a Squid Game wallet. The funds were first sent through several wallets, probably in an attempt to conceal its source. There were also several transactions that added up to the total sum of $125 million. The SHIBArmy in the tweet expressed concerns that there may be a manipulator of the token market price with the arrival of the suspected Squid Game scammers. This has caused panic among some SHIB holders with concerns that the price may not fluctuate naturally anymore. Newegg was one of the first online American retailers to accept crypto, starting with Bitcoin and eventually Dogecoin. Major American electronics retailer Newegg continues diving is enabling payments in major cryptocurrency and mem, Shiba Inu (SHIB). Newegg officially announced Nov. 29 that it will start accepting SHIB as part of its holiday promotional campaign, starting “by early December.” In order to enable the new payment option, Newegg partnered with cryptocurrency payments platform BitPay. The firm previously unlocked payments in another dog-themed digital currency, Dogecoin (DOGE), through BitPay in April 2021. “Through our partnership with BitPay, we have the ability to move quickly and lead the market with flexible cryptocurrency payment options. US-based exchange Kraken has confirmed that it will list Shiba Ina (SHIB) from November 30. The price of SHIB rose by 23.3% in the 24 hours following the announcement. In a blog post dated November 29, the exchange confirmed that the minimum deposit will be 373,000 SHIB with a minimum trade of 50,000 SHIB, around $18.40 and $2.40 respectively. The memecoin will be tradeable against USD and EUR. The listing confirmation came almost a full month after the exchange first teased the SHIB listing on November 1. At that time the exchange had promised to list the coin in the next 24 hours should it receive 2,000 votes. Having received that many in just a few hours the exchange went on to prevaricate for the remainder of the month. Now that Kraken has finally listed SHIB, the memecoin is featured on a growing number of exchanges including Gemini, Coinbase and Crypto.com. Newegg Commerce, a Nasdaq-listed major online retailer, has confirmed it will soon accept payments in the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu ($SHIB). When exactly SHIB will be accepted is not yet clear. In a post on the microblogging platform Twitter, Newegg revealed Shiba Inu as a payment option was “coming soon.” The tweet came shortly after it tagged Shiba Inu’s official account and its project leader asking for a direct message to ask them a question.
