181  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't sell in loss on: April 27, 2024, 08:22:13 PM
First of all people need to understand that's there is no guarantee of bullrun immediately post halving as some are in this illusion and they need to set their expectations right that there may be even further fluctuations and Bitcoin may dip even further it's the testing phase so we need to hold on your our assets else we will end up as a loser if we sell at low. People just need to avoid the funds and stop checking price every minutes atleast till bull run.
182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The leading cause of death in America today is PHARMACEUTICALS on: April 27, 2024, 08:02:56 PM
There are two ways look into it as all the medicines or drugs cannot be ruled as poison and vice versa but I think major problem is with the way we grow our food as everything is chemical so we need to reverse this which would only increase the price because organic may be expensive or limited as chemicals are used to speed up the process. Need to work on root cause instead of terming entire Pharma as cause of death.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the progress of ethereum, would it reach 3k this year or higher? on: April 27, 2024, 07:46:32 PM
Wow it was savior for you as you may have saved it sometimes in the past either because 0.2 was too less tonbe exchanged or so but it just saved your day.

ETH is already trending around $3200 and it may possibly break it's previous ATH in future hence I would request you to hodl on to the remaining Ethereum balance as it has potential to give good returns. Just don't sell it off until the bullrun.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Head of Research at Fidelity on Bitcoin VS Crypto on: April 27, 2024, 07:19:40 PM
It's a welcoming news coming out of someone who holds power and I would say it's a bold move to openly support Bitcoin because mostly top management from institutions refrain to comment positively about Bitcoin or crypto in general. Yes I do agree with the statement as Bitcoin is different as it's based on PoW which makes it stand out and we can really rely on it unlike other crypto currencies, just hope more people from large organisations follow the same path as Chris.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post halving, why are altcoins the most affected on: April 27, 2024, 06:58:31 PM
Not a new thing as this has been happening for cycles because the Altcoins prices gets affected based on Bitcoin's price, be it positively or negatively and we have seen drop in the value of Bitcoin and it's ripple will be felt across the market but Altcoins will be most affected since they are the one to surge more when Bitcoin surges. I think most of us are aware of this dynamics.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: April 26, 2024, 08:15:51 PM
Not only affiliate marketing but any service oriented business where you are providing services are a business without capital like freelancing for projects like web designing, SEO/SEM, Affiliate or any form of digital marketing but one should remember here there is no capital invested apart from any charges or fee you have incurred while learning these skill but your experience and time you have spent to master it is the capital here.
187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your favourite exchange can be nowhere to be found on: April 26, 2024, 07:45:40 PM
I think we can still use exchange for the sole purpose of trading due to its UI, liquidity and multiple user-friendly option which Exchange offers but it would be a bad idea to store your funds in CEX as wallets would be the best ones for storing it but people have been so casual that they don't differentiate between exchange and wallet.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum has been stuck around $3200 for quite some time on: April 26, 2024, 07:32:43 PM
It's actually good news because it has been stable around $3k for a while and just waiting for the Bitcoin's price movement in order to pump, I would have been worried if it would have been dumped which has not happened and it has found strong support which will only trigger an upward rally. Some may doubt it's credibility but ETH is as trustabke as BTC and it's yet to break previous ATH hence the expectations will be more this bull run.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 26, 2024, 06:56:12 PM
I would say it would be a "No" from my side because it would be just like fiat and no appreciation so what's the purpose of getting paid through USDT as it doesn't have any benefit to choose over fiat and if we want to spend t we save to go through the hassle of converting it into fiat so I would not prefer and moreover I am skeptical whether they really hold value equivalent of supply USDT in dollars
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden is asking Congress to kill the American Bitcoin mining industry on: April 26, 2024, 06:33:23 PM
This old fella has already screwed up everything and as per my understanding he is trying to kill the mining industry without actually killing it that's my implementing high taxes for mining to an extend that mining wouldn't be profitable after the taxes which will push users to stop mining. We cannot expect any positive news from them but atleast they should be neutral rather than targeting the mining and crypto ecosystem.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto rewards that make you rethink spending on: April 26, 2024, 02:12:51 PM
If bitcoin has failed the us for the use of cash payment then I don't think there is any other coin or project that can do that because even the users of the coin will not have that interest to use it as a payment option or method but instead they will prefer to use investment and not as a cash for method. The outlook of the project is not nice from the platform home page.  Though the price of the coin is good as a new project $15.11. but I don't think it will be a cash payment for Goods and Services.

I have similar thoughts and I am not sure how will they manage it on a longer run and once there is a bear market or let's say rapid changes in the price of the crypto so who will be taking the losses or profit ? how will they cover the deficit? Not sure if we could ever use crypto as payment at larger scale for goods and services due to it's volatile nature. Do they operate like once you trigger the payment it converts it into Stable coin on backend and then processes the transaction?
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: April 26, 2024, 12:25:33 PM
Sounds so naïve to me because we have to grow along with technologies and upgrade ourselves and if we don't adopt technology fearing unemployment then we will not prosper and mobile phone is best example what if they would have though it has so many feature which will send  reduce the sales of so many products like camera, tape recorder, VCR, VCD, DVD player, etc we would have never seen these features.

Robots are risky as machines can be faulty as but people crying over it are sore loser as they can upgrade their skill as it's a rat race until we think about our future and embrace the latest technology we will be left behind.
193  Local / India / Re: Breaking: Bitcoin Halving Event [2024] is over! on: April 26, 2024, 12:17:47 PM
I really don't think there is a loss to miners or drop in their rewards as long as Bitcoin's value is higher, I was not expecting any bullrun till the end of this year and I was amazed even by the surge we have seen in last 6-7 months which was not expected. My plan would be to continue with the existing DCA and keep a track of market trend because during bull timing matters the most as you could miss rally by minutes, In short I am accumulating Bitcoin to sell it during peak and reinvest a part of it in altcoins during bullrun.
194  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin users should be humanitarian for Palestinians. on: April 26, 2024, 11:54:19 AM
Really nice thought but the major problem is getting the aid inside Palestine as it like an open air prison I am talking about Gaza Strip as the aid should either enter through Egypt or Israel but both of them are inhumane and there are generous donors who has done enough but the ground challenges are getting the aid delivered.

The cycle goes like israel attacks Palestine the we see aid being sent to them meanwhile there are thousands who are killed and maimed. The real help they need is stoppage of this genocidal campaign and a permanent solution to this occupation else aid just means that feed them and kill.
195  Local / India / Re: Good News Nirmal Sitharaman is not contesting Lok Sabha poll on: April 25, 2024, 10:37:34 PM

Regarding crypto, the finance ministry speaks the same thought of RBI. So I don't think anything is going to be changed. Anyway the current finance minister doesn't have much insights about how finance works. She is a puppet mostly.

So whoever comes in the power or become the finance minister, the outlook towards cryptocurrency is not going to change in India. The 30% tax will continue and a general negative outlook will be maintained. I don't see any change there!

Atleast they should think about reducing 1% TDS amount which is affecting most of the small scale traders than 30% tax. Recently I have been in contact with someone who day trade now shifted to trading stocks because with the 1% TDS it's impossible to make profits at all by a day trader.

I am happy with the 30 percent tax on capital gain what seems to be a problem is that 1% TDS on every trade. Crypto-to-crypto transactions should be excluded and those related to conversion of crypto to INR should be charged with this tax. With the 1% TDS, you do not have a chance to make a profit while using a local exchange as this tax ruins 1 percent profit.

It is so much non-crypto trading that many users have now started on tier 2 exchanges after the blanket ban that does not hold or provide many returns on investment if someone chooses the wrong crypto. The best we can do is to wait till the elections are over and hear the new budget which is supposed to be presented in the parliament in June.

As said my hope is not that high regarding this year because government will not give a look at anything once the election results came and probably they will look into making changes in 2025 if someone is capable enough to understand the revenue will be a lot high if the reduce the TDS cause it will encourage everyone to use the local exchanges or exchanges that follows the frameworks of India.

But what results now is youngsters who saw crypto trading is good way to make money as an addiction income is struggling or choosing the low tier unknown exchanges to beat 1% TDS.

We only saw interim budget by the ruling party. The main budget will come out after the election is over most probably by July. There might be some news about crypto in that budget but tax figures will not change. You are right that big news will be in 2025 and no this year. Although I feel if the current FM doesn't continue in the office then we might see a more positive approach towards crypto by the new FM.

As long as the same ruling party wins we cannot see any positive news neither for crypto not any other domain as they are just keen in dividing the people based on the lines of religion to gather vote bank and we cannot expect anything and unfortunately due to certain geographical votes every one will suffer.

Reason I am saying this is because FM alone doesn't take the call it's a coordinated plan wherein FM is just the face of it.

Bingo! That's what it is! Thanks for sharing the right information.

Our finance Minister has no idea about finances. It's the bureaucrats who runs the economy and takes major policy decisions. Out PM is too busy in dividing people in the names of religion so he should have much idea about the finances either. The most powerful man in Indian economy is the RBI governor. He is very negative about crypto and I think nothing positive will come after the election.

I would rather say we should be prepared for even worse post election because they may implement more stricter law as the communal politics has been successful till date and Modi will manage to win this term as well due to lack of strong oppositions and also because of fear he has created in people's mind saying they would be in danger if he loses. RBI governor will surely roll out more actions against crypto as he is not a fan of crypto. So we need to think how we would be engaged in crypto be it trading or P2P or even investment.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Help you make money faster on: April 25, 2024, 10:01:53 PM
I don't want to stereotype this as scam because I am unsure whether it's worth or scam. The way people interpret it is the way they look at it hence I am suggesting you to create a proper thread and add brief details about the projects and what makes it different from other. You will never achieve desired traffic or marketing result unless it looks easy to comprehend and looks professional.
197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Smoking addiction in the society on: April 25, 2024, 09:22:11 PM
It's alarming in the place where I live as well because you will see teenagers as well as elders with a ciggerate and it's causing problems to non smokers as well since they become passive smokers and people are putting health of othera at risk as well. I wouldn't say there is any benefit of smoking but there are so many diseases also it has become quite expensive now as a friend of mine who is unemployed and as no source of income but he somehow spends money on smoking as he smokes multiple times in a day. So it has zero benefits and numerous drawback hence there should be some strict law banning anything which is harmful for health.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top altcoins are in trouble?? on: April 25, 2024, 08:22:53 PM
As Bitcoin Halving event has concluded we can be rest assure a bull run in the crypto market is going to happen. Like last time we can expect a long bull run and we will then be able to see how top altcoins perform. I am certain most of them will break thier previous ATH. The short bull run happened due to the Bitcoin ETF and the altcoins had nothing to do at that time as there wasn't any demand for them in the market.

We just need to wait for Bitcoin rally to start post while we will see surge in the value of Altcoins as we have seen this in the past but I have a different opinion on your pointer that during ETF approval Altcoin's demand was not there because we had seen some massive surge in value of Altcoins during those days when Bitcoin spot ETF was approved. I think we may have to wait for some more time for bullrun to start.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin season on: April 25, 2024, 07:19:21 PM
Exaggerated expectations mate, though the coins you have mentioned have potential but expecting 15x, 20x or 25x would be too much of expectations and it's like fooling ourselves. We never know which coin would peak this bull run as we will be aware of it only when the event starts and we see upward movementum, no one though some shitty memecoins in solana network would give huge returns but they did and some coins which were predicted as next big thing fell flat, so let's not rush into it and wait for market signals.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every moments of bitcoin value is appreciable for investors on: April 25, 2024, 06:55:11 PM
If one invests in Bitcoin at its current price, it can be said with full confidence that if one holds the invested money, one can definitely earn huge profits in the future. Bitcoin is currently worth $66k.  Bitcoin's halving is only a day long and after that it will cut some of its original value and thus its value will go down a bit but at the end of the day the market will pump again and it will break all its past records and move upwards. So those who have invested in the past and will invest in the future will at the end of the day make enough profit in Bitcoin just to keep investing.

There are three type of investors the first one being those who always wait for the dip to invest in order to maximize the returns when the value pumps, second one are long term investors who don't care of price and go for long term which gives them guaranteed profit on longer run and then they don't bother checking the price everytime then we have third type and most effective kind of investment which is DCA. I think all of them can earn good and I prefer DCA as you don't feel pressure of bulk investment and market fluctuations and sometimes when you wait for dump the market rallies and you don't get chance to buy Bitcoin but DCA solves this issue as well. I think we all should do DCA to get the most out of it.
