We've started processing all the magnets the community of users has been dropping lately. We just dropped an additional 100 $GEO onto the map for people to collect in the future. If you don't see any $GEO on the map near you, go to the following interface, pan and zoom into your location and click "Drop GEO". https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1032116214674284545

good video, cool music yes, support this question, what's with magnet? and how can we get this magnets? Head over to https://geocoin.cash/polPan and Zoom into your local area (or wherever you'd like GEO) and drop a magnet. This magnet will attract GEO to nearby public spaces such as parks/schools that are away from road ways etc. The GEO drops are a manual process atm, but we aim to fully automate it moving forward. This will help us spread the GEO to places near users who are interested in picking it up in the future, as opposed to just randomly scattering GEO on the map. When Pokemon Go came out, people were walking into the middle of highways trying to collect characters and we would like to avoid those types of problems.

Getting an early start this weekend continuing development. We are building in some additional spatial, temporal and quantitative background checks to make sure our upcoming Proof-of-Location (PoL) $GEO drops interface is ready to go. Also gathering up a few graphical assets in preparation for the upcoming launch. https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1025755163011641345What do you mean? How long to see PoL steady & running to public? Let us know please because you already start talking about "upcoming" We will be launching our Proof-of-Location interface shortly which will allow users to drop magnets onto the map to attract GEO to nearby locations. In terms of launching the GeoCashing interface to the community, we still need to configure the wallet backend with the assistance of the KryptoTech team. We don't have any fixed date set, but I'm personally aiming to try and launch it during Q3 or Q4 of 2018.Still lots of things to test and debug before it's fully launched, but we're keeping it GEOing! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1026610854131785728

At the current time our interface is designed to allow any user to drag and drop GEO onto the map, but I do hear what you're saying about the risks involved with this style of interaction. We could make the ability to drop something that must be "earned" by the GeoCasher before it becomes activated. We will also be doing the Proof-of-Location drops which we aim to place in open public spaces such as parks to keep users away from roadways etc.
With any GPS based game you always need to be aware of your surroundings and the risks involved with them. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow! They put GeoCoin among 37 top coins on the cover of book. And all this without any marketing. I think you should be proud a lot with your project. It is really awesome and impressing. I like very much to follow you and to be a witness of how GEO will gain immense popularity and global acceptance. Yes I couldn't agree more! GEO seems to be gaining in popularity significantly! I would still like to expand our reach further into the existing geocaching.com community which has millions of caches and users worldwide. Can't wait until we start dropping cash on the map for GeoCashers to pick up!

Although the original POW blockchain is still running, it is considered developer abandoned. GeoCoin migrated over to the Ubiq Network back in January of 2018, this ended the POW mining phase for GEO. Just wanted to let you know that if you mine the original chain it will not be credited on the Ubiq Network, and will only be tradeable at Yobit since they never delisted the legacy chain. The original chain also doesn't match up to the Bittrex and Cryptopia market prices you are currently using in your metrics. I suggest you pull this from your listings as the information is inaccurate and misleading.

There is no calculation that is perfect. Qubit appears to be sufficiently uncommon that it is alright for the present and very suggested by this network. It will be less inclined to be abused at the beginning.Looking forward to the launch!!!
The Qubit POW chain is now developer abandoned. In early January, GeoCoin migrated over to the Ubiq Network as an ERC20 token. Once our new interface launches, the only way to 'mine' the remaining GEO supply will be through Proof-of-Location where users collect GEO right off the map using their smartphone GPS. Just wanted to help clear up your confusion. I heard there are applications that allow you to fake your geolocations. In how far is that a problem for GeoCoin and how do you make sure that that can't happen? We use GIS analyses to detect if users spoof their GPS location. Anyone who spoofs their position is banned instantly. And is that GIS analysis tool totally safe or could it also be fooled by some sophisticated attempt to fake the geo location? There have been 128 users banned to date who attempted to spoof their GPS locations. That being said no system is ever 100% fool proof but we are aware of it and actively trying to manage any risks associated with GPS spoofing.

We took the weekend off to enjoy some of the awesome sunny weather with some friends. Developments continue this week on the upcoming Proof-of-Location (PoL) $GEO drops interface. We will be adding in a few more background checks to make it a bit more robust, and there are a few other loose ends we'd like to improve before we launch it to the community. https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1023975529102237696

Last night we made some more progress to our upcoming Proof-of-Location (PoL) $GEO drop interface. If you don't see any $GEO on the map nearby, simply pan/zoom the map into your local area or turn on your smartphone GPS to center the map. You can then drop a magnet onto the map which will attract $GEO to places nearby. Development of the interface will continue this week and we hope to have it ready for users to start contributing shortly! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1022207092638138369

Excited to announce that we are starting to develop our Proof-of-Location (PoL) $GEO drops. We will be creating a user interface that will allow the community of users to request GeoCoins be dropped nearby. We aim to fully automate this process moving forward! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1019283171626532865Great news, hopefully 2018 is the year GEO is put on every crypto enthusiasts radar! That is our goal and I feel we're well on our way towards achieving it!

Continuing along with developments last night, I was able to configure the backend framework for the new Proof-of-Location $GEO drops interface. Working late into the evening, there are still a handful of loose ends and finishing touches that need some further attention. We will continue with the developments over the weekend. Keepin' er GEOing! https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/1020325628258660354
