181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old would you be by 2140? on: March 21, 2024, 12:18:26 PM
No man on this forum will be alive by 2140 and it doesnt bother me for any reason, I plan to stay for many years if God willing but seeing the future is not in my power to deliver, I just want to have a great life and leave a good example behind, money is a must as this will make your life more easier, there is nothing that money can do for you than this.

I have no reason to be out of Bitcoin, and as a matter of fact, Bitcoin turned my life around, the shame, the guilt, all the lookdown on me turned around when I came across bitcoin and today I am a multi millionaire in my currency, I plan to teach my offspring about embracing technologies, not even Bitcoin only, because the future will be more into tech than it is right now.

I have no regrets and I don't plan on having one before I leave this world behind, I promised myself to have a good life and touch the life of others who really deserve it, I might pass down my BItcoin to my kids too because I don't plan on having no Bitcoin behind before returning back to my creator.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 21, 2024, 11:02:09 AM
Risking it all or staking it all in gambling is a bad idea.

I don't want to know what you are risking all your money on, either on yoit favourite club or sports, its a bad idea to risk everything you have, most importantly on something you dont have total control over.

Gambling is all about luck, I dont know why anyone will risk all they have on such thing, its obvious that losing is going to be way more easier in this than winning, all the signs are written over gambling but stupid people still think otherwise.

I will never do such a thing for the love of any sports or team, I crave for gambling entertainment and that shouldn't cost me or anyone too much money, I don't gamble to have a life changing opportunity, I gamble to make few bucks and also have some great time.
183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quick Curiousity!!! on: March 21, 2024, 10:00:38 AM
It depends on what you want.

We have two types of Bitcoin mining, here you go.

1. Solo mining.

Meaning you want to solve a block by yourself using your very own Asic miner, but there is a catch, mining difficulty is extremely high and to solve a block on your own becomes extremely harder, it will take like forever to get this done, unless you get lucky, the chances is like 1/100 with a single Asic miner.

2. Pool mining.

This is where miners come together to solve a block and share the reward among themselves, this gets the job done in a easier and faster manner, its also more predictable, like when a block will get solved using the combined hash rates of all miners working on the pool.

If you have to ask me, pool mining is more suited for new users like you, escapcially people with a single Asic miner, but if you have 10 higher end Asic miners or 100s then you can consider solo mining, the trick is the total hash rate power you have on ground.

The higher the hash rate, the faster you solve a block.
184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be ready when it comes to selling? on: March 21, 2024, 09:44:32 AM
You are overthinking the whole thing and you need to calm down.
The great opportunities you think you will miss is no one-off. It is repetitive.
Are going to sell off the whole 75% of your crypto that is in cold storage or you are going to take profit from it. If you stay up to date with the market, it will be hard to miss the many opportunities of "selling" that will come along with the halving.

I am with the community on this, telling you to leave your crypto in cold storage. Whatever fee you think you want to avoid by moving them ahead of time to a cold storage is something you will be able to afford and it will not even affect your asset value.

First bull run for me and i Just want to be ready.

I am at work now and my cold storage wallet is at home so just thinking what if crypto goes up while I am at work for 8 hours and I cant do anything about it until I am home because all my crypto is on cold wallet at home.

Have exchanges fallen before in bull run or is it usually deep in bear market?
This is something that a crypto trader should be talking about, and it seems that you are not into trading.

Traders trade on hourly price actions and some use weekly price actions, this show that we can be at a certain price for a week straight, you have a lot to learn about price action.

Normally it takes bitcoin more than 100 days to stay in a bullish market, thats a lot of time to have sell your bags, we have weekly candle and monthly candles for a reason, you should do your research on this to gain more knowledge.

If all you want is to hold Bitcoin and sell when it surge up you don't have to worry, assuming you are at work and Bitcoin reach a new all time high, it won't dump in an instant, you can choose to sell the next day or two.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profiting from BTC: just luck? on: March 20, 2024, 09:57:03 AM

I want to know your opinion on the success of BTC holders:
  • Is the profit of BTC holders just from luck?
  • Are you a BTC holder? What makes you keep believing and holding BTC?
  • When will you hold BTC until?

I don't believe that the profit from holding bitcoin comes from luck, its been proven so many times how valuable Bitcoin is, with low max supply and also four years halving, there is no way that Bitcoin won't have its good time when you hold, all you need to do is buy when no one wants to buy, when dumps are happening, thats the best time to start buying.

I am a BTC holder and to this day I am still accumulating Bitcoin, I believe that Bitcoin is a good choice of investment, and it's also a good store of value, including the fact that it's the only decentralized asset that works and stays decentralized.

I decided to keep accumulating Bitcoin as long as I can, even in my retirement days in the future I will always have some Bitcoin and I will teach my children about Bitcoin too, i strongly believe that Bitcoin will bring me all I wanted in this life and it will also bring me a more comfortable life than anything else.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: March 20, 2024, 08:36:36 AM
Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?

If you can keep reminding yourself about your losses in gambling then it means your losses are significant, if I am in your shoe right now I will reduce the money been spent on gambling, lower to the amount that won't make the losses matter anymore.

If you are using $5 and its killing you when you lose the money, its best you start using $0.50 and see how you will feel when you lose this amount, you should feel better and more relaxed, I can't guarantee you that you will win when ever you gamble but I can guarantee that you will lose money.

The best way to make this less painful for you is to use small amount that you don't need on gambling, its Better to spent the amount you are risking now on Bitcoin investment than gambling because it is sure that your money will be safe than using it in gambling.

187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football teams create a kind of community on: March 20, 2024, 07:48:16 AM
Lol, people have too much emotional garbage and this is one of them, I don't blame anyone, we are all human by the way.

I do have a brother from another father who is just like this, since he is the older one we used to visit his place for Christmas, whenever Arsenal is playing football, if you know what's good for you, do not talk against Arsenal or laugh when Arsenal lose the match.

Whenever Arsenal loses a match it's always going to be a bad week for us all, and I thought he would change, this was one of the few reasons why I don't visit his place for holidays anymore, he simply takes football too seriously and I don't like it.

It would have been better if he wasn't taking it out on others around him, this habit makes me get pissed, to the extent that I don't want to get closer to him anymore, it sucks when you let your emotions get the best of you, do not let sports breaks your family, this brother isnt even betting money on these games, yet he took things too serious.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden resurrects 30% crypto mining tax in new budget proposal on: March 20, 2024, 06:45:27 AM
30% of miners' electricity cost is not small.

I wish the people of America good luck  Grin

If all you do is mine Bitcoin as a source of income, there is still enough time now to reconsider another country, but God has mercy on your soul if you are the type who loves his or her country.

The best time to mine Bitcoin is now and the value is still very good enough, after the coming halving the reward will be cut in  half, and maybe in a year and half, we will be in another bear market? It will be hard to keep mining when your electricity is making it harder and now taxes too.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 19, 2024, 12:11:44 PM
Many people don't just get it.

You will not always lose in gambling, but the problem is how many times you are willing to try over and over again until you get lucky.

Can you afford to keep losing some money until you get lucky again? It could be short or long, thats beyond anyone to know.

In this case, using $1 to gamble in a 100 times is still $100, don't forget this, now compare it to someone who risk $20 to gamble in 100 times, imagine if luck never found them all along.

This is where pain will strike them hard because what they have lost is so much to think about.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Internet connectivity - Gambling wins/losses on: March 19, 2024, 11:10:40 AM
Have you guys experienced any loss/win out of the issue with internet connectivity. I've mentioned about wins/losses, but mostly people get affected negatively when there is connectivity issues. I personally believe that the internet connection is also a reason with our gambling wins. Here it is about casino games and not sports betting.

Most of the time I gamble using the mobile device. The connectivity speed varies between locations and I've encountered with the rolls taking more time as well as the the rollers moving within the bar with sudden visibility. When I check the provably fair functioning, it does right. But, my mind has a thinking our loss is due to the internet connection.

Does any of you have similar experience or thinking.
Fix your internet connection problem.

I have never face such a problem before and even if I have, the blame is on my internet provider not the online casino.

Like right now I haven't gambled for a while, because there is a problem with the internet in my country and it affected some other countries nearby too, it has to do with internet cable under the sea, I guest it got lose or damaged, for two weeks now the speed have been so bad.

Imagine now going to an online casino and deciding to start gambling, what type of result should I be expecting? A flawless one? So dear, make sure you have a good internet connection before you start to gamble.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day i have lost my 100 bitcoins on: March 19, 2024, 10:12:56 AM
Hello Smiley

One day, a few years ago now, I had ~100 bitcoins on Old Usb Key.

I didn't remember having them, as I'd had them at the very beginning. This USB key was lying around in a drawer, as I imagine a lot of people have Smiley

I remembered that I had a Bitcoin wallet not long ago and I tried to find my USB key, without success.

This story makes me sad, because if I'd known, I'd have been more careful!

Moral: be careful with your stuff, even if it's old :p
You consider your real life experience as a story, this is why I won't believe your story, but I would like to make some contribution still.

So you can't find the UBS anymore? When was this? Because it makes no sense to have 100 Bitcoin and not aware that Bitcoin hit 69k in 2021, why are you just looking for a way to get your USB now?

Are you really sure that you ever had one? Because it doesn't look like it, your Bitcoin wallet do have a private key or recovery seed, do you not write that down and keep separately? Or you kept this in the same USB drive?

Even as a hardware wallet owner, I still keep my recovery seed far away from my hardware wallet, the keys are more important than the hardware because through the keys is the only way to get access into assets again.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest in Bitcoin to perform Hajj. on: March 19, 2024, 09:26:12 AM
I have an investment plan for my mother by collecting $3 every day from the results of my mother's business and that $3 is a small portion of my mother's business profits. My mother owned a grocery store and after my father died, I built a grocery store for my mother with the goal of giving my mother something to do at home.
And my mother already knows that I have been involved with Bitcoin for a long time and I have discussed this, and my mother agrees because she knows the benefits and changes that I get from Bitcoin in the long run. And my mother has great hopes that Bitcoin can provide good profits in the long term, she wants to use these profits to perform the Hajj or can be used as extra money which my mother has long planned.

And I would like to know your opinion whether this plan will be successful in the long term and aims to provide additional funds to carry out the long-desired Hajj. My mother is currently 60 years old and wants to perform the Hajj at the age of 70, and my mother also has savings that she has been working on for a long time and also has the same goal and is sometimes used for emergency funds.
And with this I took the initiative to plan this which I will do in stages and my plan is, using $3 a day from my mother's grocery store in 30 days = $90 that I will spend in Bitcoin every month. And I will also increase my purchases when my mother has excess money or unexpected money because that often happens.

And I ask for prayers from the BTT Forum which I respect so that my mother's dream of performing the Hajj can come true.
I don't like this type of questions because it shows how weak you are, what makes you think that hearing peoples opinion will make any difference? I would have jump right into this if I believed that it would work out in the end.

It will make more sense feeding us the news after you've completely done it, not before even starting, some people can even discourage you and the truth about humans is they always feel like they know what's best for you.

They don't even know where they stand, they have doubts and fear, do not let their effects get the best of you, the fact is you don't need anyone's opinion, do it if you believe it will work out for you, people only know how to distract and stop plans, don't let people be the one to push you into anything you don't want to do.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 18, 2024, 03:06:29 PM
Fear and Anxiety

This is one of the main reasons on why people would really be having that kind of different approach on things on the time that they would really be able to feel up these emotions on which
this could really be the main reason on why they would really be becoming that impulsive. Decisions made would be broken and your mind would be stirred up
which causing those kind of alterations neither with your selection and with your plans or whatsoever in between.

This is why on the time that you would be making some betting then decisions should be something be fixed and cant be altered.

You are right.
Gambling often becomes a habit because people can experience adrenaline and excitement from gambling. This can lead them to gamble more and more without controlling their spending and time. The way to combat this is by first recognizing the problem and admitting that you have a problem.
It is also important to seek help from specialists who can help develop control strategies and teach them how to manage their desires. Remember that gambling can negatively affect your life and relationships with loved ones, so it is important to combat this addiction.
People don't like accepting that they are the problem, whatever they do is right to them, thats why you will see people defrauding others online and when you tell them that they need to stop they will come up with another story, shifting the blame on something else or the condition of their country or the lack of job in the country.

If we are suffering its right to steal and hurt others in return, and when someone tell us about how bad and evil we are we should blame it on the suffering? This happens a lot in my county and its a big shame, because don't care if what they are doing is wrong and thats what's affecting so many.

The day you start seeing your flaws is when you will start to get wiser, and if you like blaming others for your own mistakes you will never be able to do something good, because to leave a footprint in this world you need to face your mistakes and learn from it.
194  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Prepare Your Children For Bitcoin Investment and Not for Government Jobs. on: March 18, 2024, 02:19:01 PM
How about preparing them for both? Because you as a father or mother can't possibly know whats best for your kids, because they have their goals before coming into this earth, do not push your kids into anything thinking that its for their sakes, you live your life, you had your time, let them grow and support them in every possible way.

When I was young my father wanted me to become a writer and my mother want me to be a doctor, none of this dreams come to past because I didn't have a passion for both, you really can't tell what will make your child or children become great in future, just guide them right.

Teach them about Bitcoin and advise them to purse whatever they want, unless its an evil way, then you can advise against it, but if they are trying to go the right path, just support them, you might never know what they can become.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't become a big investor by public opinion. on: March 18, 2024, 01:37:53 PM
We learn every time so it doesn't matter what anyone faces with crypto, the real deal is if you can learn from your mistakes because those who learn are the only ones who grow.

If one follows public opinion and it fails them in the end, that doesn't mean it is the end of trying, automatically you are gifted if you can learn from your mistakes and move on.

Most of the time, people don't have goof advices because of their lack of knowledge, instead of them to keep shut and try to learn, they will come out in the public and run their mouth, I have never follow the public opinion and be proud of it, it's always misleading.

I stand up for myself and abandoned every other ideas from people, this was when I started getting myself, honestly, no one knows what's best for anybody, we are all struggling in this world, instead of following anyone I chose to find answers myself.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 18, 2024, 12:29:27 PM
In short, there is no time to do your own analysis before placing any bets, there is also no way for you to enjoy the match or the game you place bet on, you should not be gambling for real, because you aren't gaining anything.

No time for fun, no time for analysis, and you are also ruining your health too, its not even about how many times you have lost money, it's about how soinconvenientt gambling has become for you and how thats also affecting your health.

This is very bad, I advise you find away to create time for yourself or do something else as a job so that you will have time, sorry to ask, how are you having time for your children and family then? Because it seems you work all the time.

198  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tax refund scheme scams on the rise using "Gas fee refunds" on: March 17, 2024, 01:53:21 PM
Thanks for doing this and I hope it gets to many people as soon as possible, although not everyone on the forum will care about this and it also can't get to all the newbies in crypto spaace but atleast it will safe the little that it can, hopefully, beginners on this forum will come across this thread.

There is nothing on the block chain that will reward for all the gas fees you've spent since you started buying Ethereum, if you come across any, it's likely to be a scam, only greedy people who feel like making money can be free will become a victim to such similar scams online.

Be very careful of Twitter and Telegram, scammers and many impersonators are on these social apps, do not believe anything you see online, especially when they are trying to give out free tokens or compensation for anything.

If you don't work for it why try to claim it? Don't let your greed get the best of you.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Faketoshi saga is now coming to a close... on: March 17, 2024, 11:19:23 AM
Thank God this whole drama is finally coming to an end. I saw this news yesterday but it's surprising how one will just be too thick skinned to let go off his false claims even from the first time in 2016 when he spoke about it, I wonder what was is drive all these years since we know deep down he knows that in the end he will definitely lose the case
Its nothing to thank God about.

Assuming that this man somehow confused us all that he is Nakamoto, will you believe him? Because I won't.

Until he is able to proof that he is the real Nakamoto, maybe by

1. Siginig into his BTT account thats been less active for a very long time already.

2. Sign some contract on chain? I believe this is possible since many knew Nakamoto's original address, can someone confirm this for me?

Sometimes, lies find its way to the top, Faketoshi just isn't confusing enough that's why he failed, you need to find answers yourself even when those around you believe something to be true, don't just make up your mind due to what others believe.
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 17, 2024, 10:09:01 AM
I want to believe that we all agree that our betting budget should be within 5% -10% of our monthly income as responsible gamblers. However, our perspective on sports betting differs. Look at the gambling sentences and indicate which of the statements you agree or disagree with. You could also write a brief explanation for your standpoint

1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
3. Don't bet more than once a day.
4. Don't bet every day.

This is not a bad write up but here are my answers...

1. I can bet all my money on a single bet and I don't see how this is wrong, if $5 is all that i can afford to lose on that day, I can just risk all the $5 on a single bet, what I will never do is losing the $5 and still feel like risking more money, the solution is, can you walk away after losing?

2. Still doesn't matter if I bet same amount on every bets or not, once you reach your limit that you normally use in gambling you must quit and go away, next time you can decide to go slower it still won't matter, because if its not your lucky day you aren't going back home as a winner.

3. Still similar to my no 1 and 2 points, you can choose to bet more than once in a day, if you have not lost all the amount you want to risk in gambling, assuming I enter a casino in the morning with $5 and I risk only $2.5 and I quit, decide to come back in the evening and risk the last $2.5, how is this bad?

4. I accept your last advice not to bet every day, because it's not good for you as a human, it means that gambling is slowly becoming very important in your life and that my friend is not safe, business and jobs are what should take most of our times and days, not gambling.

The less time you spend gambling, the better for you.
