I think bits make perfect sense. If everyone that agrees starts using that by default when posting we should slowly start to move everyone over. For example, did you know you can buy over 2,000 bits for just a dollar?

Just a thought - if someone were to employ a bot-net to upvote their content, they could do so relatively cheaply, as 95% of their 'vote value' would be returned to them. With enough up votes, their content would be presented to a larger audience, and they could have the potential to make back much more than the 5% lost to transaction fees. For every 18 bots employed by the attacker, only 1 authentic vote would be required in order to break even.
