Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to give a quick update on our mail system.
We had been working on upgrading to a new mail platform for a while and were almost ready to go.
The recent events have caused additional stress on the old system that it was never designed to handle.
The new system should be up and everyone should be handles fairly soon.

I will post an update as soon as things clear up.

Ukyo, can you give a status update on what is happening with transfers?  I have been waiting a while to move my shares out.

We have begun handling some transfers and not without issues already.
I am trying to continue on taking it slow so we do not end up with a jumbled mess.
PM me the details and I will get back to you as soon as I have further details.

Next time I'll screenshot you the errors Smiley

Thanks. Smiley

If it is a local cloudflare system issue there is not much I can do.
185  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] G.ASICMINER-PT on: September 24, 2013, 06:45:28 PM
lophie, you have one "real" way - ask friedcat to reclaim you shares from your public address on BitFunder.
I don't know is there any effect from your requests in last weeks (weeks!), but as I know Ukyo is not interested in shareholders at all. It is very strange that you've got answer from him. Possibly it was nearly "Sorry for delay, I am working on it. Keep waiting."?

Vezunchik, I think his point was that he was taken care of and happy. Stop being bitter that you were not able to pull off a scam and double your shares/income.
186  Economy / Securities / Re: Migrate to Bitfunder or Havelock? on: September 24, 2013, 06:24:18 PM
WeExchange was perfectly fine.
The maintenance message as due to a database locking issue.

Another unannounced maintenance on BitFunder.

WeExchange unavailable as well.

plz spend some of it on improving user trading experience plz
The site is crazily slow comparing to btct.

Agreed, new updates/systems are in the works.
188  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 24, 2013, 03:34:24 AM
I second bitfunder, have used it for a while and Ukyo has always been a stand up guy.  Now that btct.co is closing, bitfunder will end up being the high volume exchange. (fee's are still high however)

High fees from one perspective, low fees from another.
I have spent far more on lawyers for BF than BF has ever potentially ever made.
189  Economy / Securities / Re: After the news of BTCT closing down, should i feel safe using... on: September 23, 2013, 10:34:25 PM
Still not sure why they shut down. What happened exactly?

Something with legal matters / regulations. More details haven't been given. Whether we'll get these details or not remains to be seen.

For all we know then he quit cuz he wanted to.

I agree.

Let's not give rise to rumors and give Burnside the time he needs to sort things out and make his statements when ready.
190  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange [WINDING DOWN] on: September 23, 2013, 06:44:28 PM
Ukyo, what steps have you taken/are taking to prevent a similar fate to your exchange?
First the question is what am I preventing? We do not know the story yet. Smiley

But on a more serious note, I have been working to get some official licensing.
But that is for another discussion. Smiley
191  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange [WINDING DOWN] on: September 23, 2013, 06:22:56 PM
Hey guys (and gals),

It is obvious that everyone is highly interested in the reasons behind this latest change.
Burnside has already stated he would shed light on things as soon as he can.

It would probably be best to leave speculation aside until that point. There are easily any number of possibilities here.
Unlike a prior fiasco which to this day refuses to say who/what/why and disappeared without warning , Burnside seems to be doing the best with whatever limitation we do not know.
Give him time to handle what he needs to and make any statements he has before we let too many mass rumors fly. Smiley

Burnside, As a BTCT user, I would like to thank you for operating the site for as long as you did and keeping it as reliable as it has been.

It's also a fairly serious even to commentate on laws when you are not a lawyer. Smiley
Not that I am trying to dodge your questions, I simply do not have the perfect answer you are seeking.
This is why we have been seeking licensing to cover any possible issues.
There are plenty of arguments to made. Those arguments would need to be settled by whichever government it is with at that time.

Doesnt sound like you or your lawyers are very confident (nor do I think you should be).
Im not giving it 6 months.

In the legal world, one can only try to meet the requirements set fourth, and argue for position in unclear situations.
We have been and are trying very hard in an effort to firm BitFunder's legal standings. Smiley

Why is TAT.NEOBEE frozen and not Labcoin? What do I miss?

TAT chose to freeze it until things are sorted and calmed.
194  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 23, 2013, 11:42:55 AM
I have no doubt. Thats why I am curious to hear what makes you or your lawyers think you would or could be in compliance and what is different between GLSBE, BTCT and bitfunder.
Its a serious question.

It's also a fairly serious even to commentate on laws when you are not a lawyer. Smiley

Not sure what you would like to see other than posts of me stating I have 3 lawfirms around the world that I am working with to try my best to make sure BitFunder is safe

Well, the US securities act seems pretty clear cut to me, that all those "shares" are unregistered securities. How does working with lawfirms change that, or are they telling you something else?

Quote
get government sponsorship / licensing.

 Shocked

You seem to have some knowledge of US Securities legal structure.
You probably noticed that not all assets pass the standard Howey test first of all.
Then there are many many other factors involved just regarding the US. Not concerned with any other countries laws? I certainly am! Smiley

Where did your legal experience originate from again?
Sorry, I do not keep track of all of the users on the forums. Smiley
196  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 23, 2013, 11:17:30 AM
C. Let's hope BF doesn't shut down.  I have put far more $$ into lawyers to make sure it is legalized than BF has ever potentially earned in profits.

Can you point me to somewhere where I can find out more about this, what you have done and why think BF would not be violating security trade legistlation ?

Not sure what you would like to see other than posts of me stating I have 3 lawfirms around the world that I am working with to try my best to make sure BitFunder is safe and to get government sponsorship / licensing.
197  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 23, 2013, 10:30:43 AM
Hmm where to start...

A. No, I have not had any contact with Burnside regarding the recent events.

B. Labcoin... We'll have to see if they want to move to BitFunder first. Granted, they might not find out about btct for a week. Wink
BitFunder has very strict requirements right now so it depends a lot on Labcoin.

C. Let's hope BF doesn't shut down.  I have put far more $$ into lawyers to make sure it is legalized than BF has ever potentially earned in profits.

"Make it happen" you say. If I had that kinda power we would have live vid feed from the labcoin guys working on equipment. Wink j/k

hmm.. another daytime has passed in china, yet no hashrate increase.
I am more worried about they keep tricking us using bought mining rigs.

Meh. As long as they keep buying and putting more more and reasonably meet hashrates.. Tongue
199  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: September 23, 2013, 09:20:47 AM
Ukyo and all. BTCT.co is CLOSING if you haven't heard! Lets hope Bitfunder is ready for the surge of new securities and traders...........
It's already slow as hell, it will be dissaster soon... If Ukyo don't do anything ASAP we will hear that he must to close his site to.....

Agreed.
Some plans are in the works for improvements.

The statement the exchange made was 100% factual.  Though it could have been worded differently, the warning needed to be made.  Attempts at communication prior to the issuance of the warning had not been successful.

I have updated the warning.

Thanks for the update and correction on this! Smiley
