181  Economy / Gambling / Re: Building a unique Casino game from scratch. What features do you want? on: May 05, 2024, 01:25:33 PM
Some proposed features
  • All revenue generated from this game is distributed among active players for the first few months
  • Live active users count so you know who else is playing at the same time
  • Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum deposit options. No fiat for now
  • Lo-fi cafe/arcade-type aesthetic

I'm hoping to launch this sometime in the next few days. Any suggestions are appreciated!! I look forward to building this together.
Is this proposed casino for profit making or a corporative because you said revenue generated from it will be shared among active gamblers? It sounds interesting since active members are now partners. But this kind of arrangement will not last for a long time since you will need money to run the casino. If revenues are distributed who will bear the cost of operation when the casino is not on profit?  I hope you have the funds to make it run smoothly for the proposed months.

Besides having interesting services and games, this forum respects casinos that are fair and trustworthy. Some new casinos came up with new ideas but ended up scamming gamblers. Others failed to pay winners by giving flimsy excuses. Such casinos will end up losing the trust of the community and end up fading away. Have the vision of building a casino that will build a good reputation for a long time. Having an active and experienced customer support personnel is also very important.

It is disheartening to see people being defrauded because they trusted an organization. These people believed that they were investing in the right platform only to discover that they were dealing with fraudsters. Just like other criminals they decide to spend the money on luxury. This is a wake-up call for investors to do in-depth research on any project they intend to invest in.

The Fiscal Information and Investigation Service which is the agency responsible for financial crimes in the Netherlands has told anyone who has lost money from ZKAS to contact them. Hopefully, the recovered funds and assets would go a long way in paying back what customers have lost. And these fraudsters would be found guilty and receive fair sanctions.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 04, 2024, 10:46:53 PM
Sassuolo 1 - 0 inter

This was a game in which I didn't expect to see Inter win because Inter are already champions, they don't have anything else that matters this season and knowing that next month there will be the Euro games so the Inter coach's best decision for this and the remaining series A games and to put players who did not have the opportunity to play during the many series A games, this naturally puts inter on the same level as weak teams, but at the same time allows inter's good players to be saved so they can play in the euro for their national teams. In this game, Inter played most of the players who didn't have the opportunity to play throughout the season, I even thought that Lautaro Martinez wouldn't play, but probably Inter's coach played Lautaro so he could score a goal and finish the league as the top scorer. With this victory for Sassuolo, they have a small chance of not being relegated

Monza 2 - 2 Lazio

well, this was a game that I expected Lazio to be able to win because they are in better shape than Monza, in the last 5 games Lazio managed 3 wins and 1 defeat, they came into this game with a sequence of 3 consecutive victories, while Monza has gone 4 consecutive games without winning, and when I saw that Lazio scored a goal in the 3rd minute I thought it would be a very easy victory that Lazio could get in that game, but Monza managed to equalize in the 73rd minute. but 10 minutes later Lazio scored the second goal, something that made me think again that Lazio's victory was already guaranteed, I was surprised when Monza scored the second goal in the 90th minute
Inter Milan needed to win the game to continue their unbeaten run while Sassuolo was fighting for the win to survive. I am happy that the team that is avoiding relegation won because Inter doesn't need the result for anything. Indeed, Sassuolo couldn't have won this game if Simone Inzaghi featured the main players. Some key players need to be rested to avoid injuries while new players will be tested to see their capacity. This is a good opportunity for the coach to begin to build his team for next season. Lautaro Martinez is still featuring because he is still fighting for the Serial A's highest goal scorer. This win has given Sassuolo the hope to keep gunning towards avoiding relegation and remaining in the Serial A next season.

Lazio's draw with Monza has put them in a very tight condition which might make their goal of Europa League qualification difficult. They might be displaced from the seventh position if Fiorentina wins the two games they have since Lazio has played two games more. Both teams might still be at 60 points but Fiorentina has more goal advantage. Lazio underperformed in the game against Monza. The host had more ball possession and shots on targets than Lazio. The visitors were always ahead but their distraction caused them to keep losing the lead. Monza missed so many opportunities to kill the game but I still congratulate them for getting a point.

Also, for many people (for example, the elderly and uneducated), buying, storing, using bitcoin is something extremely complicated and therefore, such people will be very happy to use the services of intermediaries, like PayPal. Which, in a way, also act as a guarantor of security, which will be taken advantage of by their clients who want to shift responsibility to Paypal.
I don't see any difference between this and buying a Bitcoin ETF. Paypal has been known to lock users accounts ( I don't know if they have changed) who speak ill against them on social media or online.
I don't think PayPal offers crypto custody service. PayPal only serves as a payment service provider that facilitates the buying and selling of crypto. The owner can always transfer the coins to his choice wallet. So this service is different from ETF where buyers don't control or have custody of their investment.
It's true that the service is not the same as what ETF is offering, but they are also offering a custodian service for people who buy crypto from them and decide to hold it there without withdrawing. Is that not them helping the person to hold their coin for them? Is custody service far from that?
I was wrong and I apologize for the misinformation. I just checked PayPal services on crypto and you are correct. They also offer custodian services just like exchanges. Only people with little knowledge about such platforms will keep huge funds in them. These platforms can easily be manipulated by regulatory agencies.

Oh yes, they can help you withdraw it to any wallet of your choice after you purchase from them. Then what? They will keep track of where even every bit of that coin is moved to start from your first withdrawal, unless you use some privacy service. Once the authorities ask for your data, they will hand it over without any second thought.
Of course, anyone dealing with these centralized platforms such as PayPal should be aware that they have lost privacy. This is the same thing with centralized exchanges and other centrally run crypto service providers. Using an anonymity tool is a must if you want to enjoy privacy after patronizing these platforms.

Actually Bayern Munich playing with full team and have many main players in starting line up against Stuttgart but got defeated from 3rd standings team awhile, warning for Bayern Munich have improve their performance on second leg match against Madrid will play more aggressive and offensive.
If Munich could win the first leg match last week I think it would be an advantage for Munich. But the match ended in a draw. Actually this is not a bad result but this result is not in favor of Munich. Madrid is a very solid team and they can get a win even if it is only 1-0. Munich lost to Stuttgart. Even though Munich has abandoned the Bundesliga competition, I think this defeat will have an impact on their performance at the Santiago Bernabéu. I predict Real Madrid will qualify for the final with PSG. Even though they lost to Dortmund in the first leg, I am sure PSG will perform better at their own home.
The game with Real Madrid is more important which entails that the loss to VfB Stuttgart has caused little harm. Bayern has already qualified for the UCL so the loss has no significance. The game between Bayern and Madrid will be 50/50 since there is nothing like away goal rules. The only advantage Madrid has will be the home fans. The winner of the match might be determined by some silly mistake like we saw in the game between PSG and Barcelona. If Bayern don't put their defense in order the mistakes which led to those goals at their home might reoccur.

The loss to VfB Stuttgart has increased the chances of Thomas Tuchel leaving the club at the end of this season. I heard that some clubs in the English premier league are seeking his service and Manchester United is one of the main contenders for the German signature. But  Erik ten Hag has countered the news that he would resign and depart from Manchester United. He stated that he is willing to complete his long-time contract.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: May 04, 2024, 08:06:16 PM
Its common as you have said since we are humans and can often develop a jealous kind of nature towards each other, most especially when others are having more upper edge over us in gambling, that is why to an extent, i will prefer making such with an outsider or friend than a family member, because i won't allow gambling to be the determining factor to how we are going to relate well or not with some of the family members, pride and jealousy will affect us both.
Allowing your gambling habit come in between you and your family is a problem on its own because its definitely not going to make sense in the tail end of your activities but then if you are really mindful how it will affect you and your relationship with both family and friends, I think you will get to, maintain a better gambling habit than you would normally because if you are having issues with family due to your gambling habit you are going to have a disturbed mind and may at times not be able to concentrate and gamble better and your results are definitely going to be affected.

Gambling with outsiders probably friends too you still need to apply some caution because even all that which you have mentioned can possibly get to come in between you people too if not properly handled too aswell so which ever it is just make sure to be mindful of your relationship with others how it's been affected.
Money has been discovered to be one of the major causes of family issues. This is why I don't like doing business with family members or friends. I prefer to gamble with outsiders because there are no emotional attachments. If they lose everybody will go home peacefully because there is no relationship. I could remember when my friend got some amount of money from his cousin through gambling. The next day his cousin came with the mother and demanded a refund. My friend was forced by his mother to refund some part of the wins because we had already spent some on a few bottles of beer.

Since the inception of online and crypto gambling, I don't think I will ever engage in physical gambling with friends or family members. It is better to face the house than to be subjected to emotional gambling. The house is not merciful, so when I beat the house I will not also show mercy.

However, this kind of service will help spread crypto awareness which can make more people buy the currency. Many people will always want centralized intermediaries to be part of their business transactions before they trust the system. I am not a fan of centralization but I appreciate any move that can make more people know about Bitcoin.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governs' oppression of bitcoiners may turn against them on: May 03, 2024, 04:01:02 PM
Only a natural reaction of the government. They cannot really do anything against decentralization so they try to act as lowly saboteurs. It is a desperate, impotent flail against Bitcoin and decentralization. And it won't work.

All attack vectors are centralized.  One could avoid them by simply not using centralized platforms. A bit of technical know-how on how to use decentralized services like BisQ or how to obfuscate your digital fingerprints with Monero or mixers couldn't hurt, either.
The government could make laws that requires mining firms to report, deny, or block transactions from flagged addresses. Transactions from mixers can be flagged as tainted funds and OFAC can mandate minners to report such transactions. Mixers can be banned and seized by the government claiming that they are used by criminals to promote crimes like terror financing, and drug and arms trafficking. The government can also cook up allegations against decentralized exchanges thereby restricting or criminalizing their services. There are many moves the government can take to fight privacy. Let's just enjoy privacy as it lasts.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 03, 2024, 03:25:13 PM
The fans of Everton would surely need to thank the Everton manager for his great management of the club to secure Everton survival from relegation in the English Premier League this season despite Everton deduction in points on the table. Even though Everton performance have been great lately but I think Luton Town might be able to force a draw upon Everton at the final whistle today.
Frankly, Everton isn't really a bad team, they're just a mediocre, so they can't reach top 5 ranks and at the same time they're not that bad to being relegated.

Probably it will draw considering Everton is a defensive team, if Everton can't score a goal, the match will end in draw. But I don't expect Luton Town will win, their recent performance is really awful, Burnley is better than them now.
Point deduction could have a psychological impact on players which can affect performance negatively. I suspect that the sanctions on the club lead to some deterioration of the club's performance. Everton has been a good side that has an impressive history and I am pleased that they remain in the Premiership. Reaching the top five position is impossible but they have achieved their aim which is to escape relegation. They may have good results in the remaining three games because the team is really in good shape.

Coach Sean Dyche deserves to remain in Everton next season. He has successfully led the club through a chaotic season ensuring they didn't go on relegation. The club has not lost a game in three games thanks to the doggedness of the players and the expertise of the coach.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 03, 2024, 02:51:15 PM
I had a feeling Roma would have a tough time in the game, but I didn't expect it to be this challenging. Leverkusen secured a two-goal victory over Roma in the first leg. If Leverkusen had capitalized on more of their chances, the score could have been even higher, possibly 5-0 or more. Roma will need a miracle in the second leg against a team that hasn't been beaten this season. For Leverkusen, reaching the final and winning the Europa League title this season seems achievable given their consistent performance. Bayern Leverkusen is currently on a different level altogether.
Leverkusen seems unstoppable and excelling in every aspect. They appear too strong to be defeated.

In fact, what I think is the opposite, I think Roma will make things difficult for Leverkusen, actually I also think that Roma makes it quite difficult for Leverkusen, it's just that Leverkusen is in very good form so I'm not surprised that Leverkusen can win the match against Roma. From the start I thought Leverkusen could win, but maybe it would be a little difficult and the result was that Leverkusen was able to beat Roma with this quite good result.

In the second leg, I think Leverkusen will be more confident and can win again with the same score, maybe even more. But of course Roma might be able to turn things around, but in my opinion that's a small chance. Even though Roma can turn things around, it might be difficult considering Leverkusen's performance is skyrocketing.
Roma had just two shots on target throughout the match and both Lukaku and Tammy Abraham were shadows of themselves. The best the Italian side would have in Germany is a draw. They don't have much chance to win the match with a reasonable margin to make them qualify for the finals. In the game of football, anything can happen but it will be very difficult to beat a well-organized side like Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso's side has successfully maintained and extended their unbeaten record to 47 in all competitions. I think the Roma club management is already pleased with the performance of Daniele De Rossi even if he fails to take the club to the Europa Finals. He will be given a new contract to enable him to work on the team for next season.

So let's get ready and Im not Even bothered about btc.
And Bitcoin doesn't give a damn about you. People like you will showcase the crypto space as a quick money-doubling scheme. You didn't tell us how many people have lost money because they invested in worthless shitcoins. It is common to see these influencers posing with hired cars in five-star hotels to attract people to invest in Ponzi schemes clothed in crypto. They can even hire some well-known celebrities to promote the project. But they will only attract ignorant newbies or people who are greedy to make instant wealth. I don't know about others, I think I am comfortable with the Bitcoin market and have no intention to invest in these pump-and-dump projects.

No much knowledge or skills just find meme coins with mc targets wich teams buying up each top of mc and you become rich not just rich but grazy rich Im sure many people Will lose their minds overnight wealthy people Will be created.
OP you said people don't need any knowledge to invest in these projects, that's not true. You need to do your research before investing in any project. Beware of projects that promise big profits within a short period.
192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before Trading Bitcoin you should... on: May 03, 2024, 01:16:25 PM
Do not forget that you should always risk what you can afford to lose.
All that you have said is important before one should consider going into Bitcoin trading. When individuals go into trading without a background knowledge of the market, it normally ends in losses and regrets. The first thing is to take time and learn about trading before putting in money. And newbie traders are also advised to start trading with little money since they might make some mistakes that might to losses.

Some traders do it as a full-time job because they have become professionals in the business. It will be risky to resign from work to become a trader when you are not sure that it could replace your job financially. It will be safer to venture into trading on a part-time basis until you are sure that it could be your main source of revenue.

There have been cases of people selling properties or taking loans as trading capital. This action should be discouraged because trading is highly risky. It is better to invest what you can afford to lose or what you can live without.
193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginning an adventure to learn about Bitcoin on: May 02, 2024, 07:49:13 PM
Here are my questions -
  • As a newbie, should I focus solely on Bitcoin, or should I also acquire basic knowledge of altcoins?
  • Is Bitcoin gender specific ?(is it meant for a specific gender?)
It is always better to start learning from the beginning and Bitcoin is the genesis of cryptocurrencies. Learning more about Bitcoin will give you the foundational knowledge you need to understand altcoins. I will suggest you focus only on Bitcoin for now to avoid confusion. Learning about altcoins will be simple if you already have a background knowledge about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has no respect for gender, age, religion, nationality, or color. Anyone can have access to the coin because it is a decentralized currency. Anybody whether male or female can buy, hodl, and sell Bitcoin without any form of restrictions. I assume that the low number of women in the industry might be a result of lack of finance, sociocultural beliefs, lack of information, etc.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 02, 2024, 07:26:17 PM
I overheard a discussion between two friends and one was telling the other that Bitcoin is a scam and that a lot of people preached about the halving and how people could cashout from it. The other friend was trying to convince him to continue holding his asset but he refused and replied that nothing would stop him from selling the coins he's holding.
The guy who wants to sell reminds me that you can never lose investing in Bitcoin except you decide to sell prematurely. The problem he is having is ignorance and it will cause him to lose some money. These are the same people that will go around saying Bitcoin is a scam, meanwhile, they failed to do a proper study of the industry before investing.

Quote
When I heard that man mentioned cashing out from the halving, I understood that he might know about Bitcoin but he's not properly enlightened concerning it. A lot of expectations were cut short after the halving event cause most people expected Bitcoin to set a new height of $80k but then it didn't even get close to the previous all time high and have reduced below $60k currently.
These premature investors came into the Bitcoin market with the mindset that Bitcoin is a get-rich-quick scheme. The want to invest today and cash out big profit in few days. I don't think the Bitcoin space needs this kind of investors who come with this kind of orientation. We still believe that Bitcoin price will go up but nobody knows when or how. We just have to be patient and don't allow FUD to determine our decisions.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 06:11:59 PM
Definitely cash out. It's so much that you have enough of it. I think it's really a gamble to let it continue. It's best that you assess to do it. You might have regrets if you lose that parlay. Imagine losing what you already have, you just have to realize it. It seems like it's normal to you to do that. Just make sure that you accept what you are doing. Someone having risked $1500 and still not satisfied for that multiplier, it's still crazy.
I might never forgive myself if I end up not cashing and later lose the game. I have never won such an amount in my entire gambling life, so I wouldn't hesitate to cash out. Some gamblers can take high risk. One of them told me more that it is either he wins big or loses all. This gambling pattern has made him lose big and also win big. My slogan is It's better to win small than to lose all.

As for me, I will prefer to cash out than risk loosing everything for nothing sake, cashing out by 50% is not something I will regret doing, instead of me loosing the entire money when I waited to the finishing line and found out that I ended on loosing the game, that one alone I can't forgive myself for, it's better we receive half than nothing, this are some of the ways we can be conscious about the game we are playing by not allowing greediness got over us while gambling.
Most of these high-risk takers don't see this action as greed. When you tell them they are greedy, they would call you an amateur gambler. I respect these big gamblers because without them we won't have all these well-celebrated big wins. They are the ones that give us hope that we will win big one day.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: The refusal of the country from its own Central Bank on: May 02, 2024, 06:00:29 PM
Milei had some radical ideas, and some of them are being implemented. But as of May 2024, Argentina's Central Bank is still operating. The solution of dollarization and Central Bank abolition is still being discussed, but it wasn't implemented. It's not impossible to make it work, and it might be a good idea for Argentina, considering decades of poor financial policies, but it doesn't mean this decision is without risks. In the meantime, Milei restricted public spending and said that Argentina had a first budget surplus in more than a decade.

When you listen to the manifesto of political leaders during campaigns you would believe that they are the solution to the country's problem. They will always tell you the problems of the current government and give some solutions that will amaze you. All these sweet words are political statements targeted at gaining political power. Another point is that some of them don't really understand governance, so they can easily come up with unworkable solutions. When they finally win elections they will discover from experience that their solutions or policies are not practical.

I think this is the case of Javier Gerardo Milei. He has realised that it would be an economic blunder to govern a nation without a central bank. Abolishing the Argentine central bank and relying on the Federal Reserve is simply subjecting his country to financial slavery. Argentina needs to make its monetary policies that will suit the local economic environment and not depend on a super economy like the US.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: May 02, 2024, 05:40:20 PM
In my opinion going to a physical casino has its advantages as well as disadvantages. It's okay to be entertained but there is no real guarantee of winning in gambling. If the person loses if he is sick it will be worse for his health. He will never recover physically if he worries too much after losing. In order to maintain his health he should keep himself occupied with activities other than gambling that will help him recover quickly.
The thread is not basically about how gambling affects someone's help but about how physical casinos can expose gamblers to some communicable diseases. It was about a neighbour who has an airborne disease called tuberculosis and has been advised by his physician to avoid public places due to the possibility of infecting others. People who are suffering from health issues like high blood pressure, heart issues or respiratory defects should gamble responsibly. Gambling more than they can afford to lose could lead to health complications that could be fatal. Any gambler who has been advised by doctors to quit gambling should avoid the activity immediately.

The situation as pointed by Op explains the cruciality of online gambling. How it's capable of reducing the way players with transmittable diseases go to the casino. It's all for the good of everyone. Both the gambler and his friends in the casino. Places fully crowded by people is meant to be avoided, as nobody knows who is actually healthy in that premises. I don't see any need of visiting a crowded gambling shop  enough to affect the ventilation of the room, when an online casino is available on his device.
I am glad you understood my point of view. I have not insinuated that physical gambling is bad. I usually enjoyed physical gambling experience but I wouldn't risk my health because of entertainment. I still maintain my stance that any gambler who is suffering from transmittable disease should avoid physical casinos and enjoy online gambling. It will be better to forgo some level of fun for the safety of others. We shouldn't be selfish because the health of others matters.

~snip~
From your write-up, I can see you are speaking out of anger. Someone might have attacked you in a way that you don't like, or something triggered that. Judging from your words, I bet when you have the opportunity to be in the position of some of the members you are calling out, you might even do much worse than them because you aren't calm in your words. They don't sound like someone who is trying to pass a message to others. It's as if you are ready to fight back against anyone who is attacking you if you are given the opportunity.
I think the op has a point but your approach is wrong. You have to learn how to transfer information without being rude to your target.

Sometimes people assume that many newbie accounts are not really new members or that such posts are made to fish merit so they become exposed to attacks and criticism. But some of us also fail to understand that in the process of these attacks, some real newbies who truly needed to be guided become victims. We might be irritated by the repetitive questions or posts that they make but we will keep seeing these questions in the Beginners and Help section as much as new people are still registering.

As for me, I have decided not to be harsh to anybody even if I am not comfortable with his post because you might be attacking a newbie who needs help. But newbies who have failed to learn and keep asking irrelevant questions need to be cautioned to avoid spamming. Others that have bad intentions like scamming, shilling, and others should be rebuked without mercy.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 01, 2024, 08:20:42 PM
Borrusia Dortmund surprising everyone with leading the game 1-0 against Paris Saint-Germain. Edin Terzic and his team was prepared enough to handled such tremendous performance of thr visitors and this is really an important game for both teams. I've settled for positive facts about football, we should not underestimate any opponents because the best team comes with promising players and having good composure to win matches.
Paris Saint-Germain
Dortmund were able to play with more confidence because they played in front of their own supporters. And yes, it seems that no team should be underestimated when a team has made it to the semi-finals. Because to get to the semi-finals requires hard work and mental readiness of the players when playing on the field. And Dortmund showed their mental readiness in this match. It was clear that Dortmund played more openly and more confidently. They are also not afraid to play short passes comfortably. But PSG must have analyzed what needs to be improved against Dortmund in the second half. So things will get more interesting in the second half. Mbappe also couldn't do much in this match. Because he was always closely guarded.
PSG has underperformed in the first half. How can an attacking side like the French side have just three shots throughout the first 45 minutes and none was on target? Meanwhile, Dortmund had four shots on target out of the five they had. Something is wrong with PSG and Luis Enrique has to figure it out this second half to avoid losing this game. If PSG fails to get at least a draw in this match, they will be forced to play under pressure at home in the second leg.

Dortmund have been highly underrated both by bookmakers and football fans. It was highly speculated that PSG would beat the German side both home and away. But the first half of this game will make sports bettors change the wrong perception they once had against Dortmund. If care is not taken, PSG will concede more goals.

A few simple steps can prevent unintentional use of non-compliant services. For example, avoid cryptocurrency money transmitting services that do not collect know your customer (KYC) information from customers when required."
They are gradually reorienting the people to believe that decentralized platforms are evil and should be avoided. Meanwhile, the government is the real problem that wants to control the financial dealings of everybody in the US. In a few years, many people in the US will know nothing about privacy and anonymity.

Quote
Soon there will be no non-custodial services and wallets left in the United States.
And this might force crypto users in the US to start seeking for means to bypass these restrictions. It might give rise to the use of illegal privacy tools just to improve anonymity.
