181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PEPE on the way of taking Memecoin crown on: May 22, 2024, 06:38:40 AM
PEPE consistently is the third largest memecoin by marketcap. PEPE has had an impressive growth of 30% in last 24 hours outperforming every popular coins. Not only they lead on price rise but for few days, they are the most traded memecoins overtaking Dogecoin. This increase in volume implies a price change that's happening at the moment. Their market cap is still one third of Shiba Inu and have a good possibility of rise. With so many people accumulating PEPE, do you see them dethroning Shiba Inu and Dogecoin to reach the top place for memecoin.
Yeah we can say that, It's among the top altcoins that are circulating into the market till now because of its positive volatility it has been in a circle of attention for investor's. Doge and Shib rule for a while but due to its strong fundamentals Pepe is beating them all

These are the coins that made us to believe into the meme coins otherwise people were ignoring meme coin investments most of the times.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are undervalued in 2024? on: May 22, 2024, 06:26:09 AM
Among the zillions of coins listed on the market, which one(s) do you think is/are undervalued right now? And why? I believe Litecoin is an undervalued cryptocurrency because of its limited supply (84m coins), greater transaction capacity (than Bitcoin), and built-in privacy features (Mimblewimble). I also believe Elastic (XEL) and Golem (GNT) are undervalued as they're decentralized supercomputing networks with limitless potential.

What is/are your pick(s)? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
Upon these coins I have heard about the XEL and it's not undervalued at all. Yes the big traders are not taking it seriously because it's not giving up the multiples of profits that they really want. The larger the investor  the more profit he wants on his investments.

But the daily and short term trader especially ones like us are investing into XEL due to its price and performance. Its not giving the expected profits till now but in the hope that it'll give it later on people are investing in it.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin backed loans on: May 22, 2024, 06:03:19 AM
Hey guys. I don't want to sell my btc, but I need some money for my family vacation. I looked around several DeFi platforms where I can lock wrapped BTC and get stablecoins, also looked to companies like SALT and Unchained. I don't like 2 things: high interest rate and liquidations. Anyone took BTC backed loans? What is your experience?
Yeah it's the right decision go ahead at last all we want is some good time with our family and that's why it really matters , all the money the efforts and the time we are investing is for these good times.

And what you have thought it is good don't worry it'll not effect the worth of BTC in your wallet much. Just go ahead and have a good time don't think too much.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If this is doable what will you add or remove? on: May 22, 2024, 05:39:40 AM
Let's all pretend to be a developer for today, and I have a question for you all.

If you are to add 1 thing to Bitcoin what will it be? And also if you are to remove just one thing from Bitcoin what will it be?

Every developer wishes to add stability to BTC and remove the volatility from the market as much as he can do it and take it to the minimum level.

I don't know much about the technicalities but that's the two of the things that every man associated with BTC wants. If these conditions prevails then people will be much more benefited from the crypto market then ever before.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is more than a currency or security, it's scarcity. on: May 22, 2024, 05:23:26 AM
I was doing some research to add to my understanding on Bitcoin and discovered that many people still do not know how powerful Bitcoin can become in the future. Bitcoin was built differently and to be scarce, the total supply of Bitcoin is fixed but the circulating supply of Bitcoin will always be shrinking and this would not only be happening every four years because of Bitcoin halving but it is happening frequently because of the lost of Bitcoin that might never be tradable again. If anybody knows how valuable scarce things are then they can be able to see how important Bitcoin is going to be when this knowledge gets understood by the world.

Money needs to be scarce to preserve its value and Bitcoin is scarce therefore the future of money has to be Bitcoin and this is one of the best chances we have to accumulate it before it becomes more scarce.
I don't think that we can do that as we all know that BTC is controlled by the big investors not by ordinary traders that trade daily on long term just for the sake of certain profit.

These investor manipulate that market like the way they want and they don't care much about the sacrity of the BTC but they just want to have good profit for themselves not matter how many traders will go through the loss they don't care.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get your Dad (or Mom) to buy Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2024, 01:17:23 PM
Elderly persons are interested in investing in something which must have a physical form and must be a popular subject such as land gold silver food grains etc. If we try to convince them otherwise, they will discourage us. But those who invested in Bitcoin some time ago and made a good profit today can show this investment summary to interest them in investing in Bitcoin.

As you mentioned, it's very difficult to convince people with traditional mindsets to believe in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and make investments in them because they mostly believe that one can't earn money from the internet and it is mainly used for gaming or wasting time as they see people using social media platforms a lot.

Even if you earn some money from cryptocurrencies, withdraw the profits, and show them the cash, they will still not believe you for the first time and will think that you have earned them from somewhere else, or maybe it's not your money and you are just kidding with them.

My family never believed that I can earn money while sitting in front of my computer, they used to think I'm playing games until I cashed out some of my earnings and that was when they realized I'm not wasting my time on useless things.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wich altcoin has that similar to btc ? on: May 20, 2024, 03:33:57 PM
Im looking for altcoin wich POS proof of stake.
But it's similar to btc limited supply and maybe with halving kind of thing.
I like btc only thing what i don't like it's POW thing so Im looking for similar supply game but just POS.
I don't think so any altcoin can get even half of success that BTC has got. It's what is called as first mover advantage, You cannot beat someone who started it years ago and now as a newbie you come and say I'll get over it.

Yes you can get more profit in less scale but you can't have the scale what BTC has got in the previous few years. If we talk about the popularity and profit ETH is the closest.
188  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Slow success builds character, fast success builds Ego." Ratan Tata on: May 20, 2024, 01:50:20 PM
"Slow success builds character, fast success builds Ego."

-Ratan Tata

I saw this quote somewhere and it struck me that the pain that is felt, that forms the hard skin of a successful trader, is what makes one a master in that area and it is the character that is exhibited during the learning process up until mastery that makes one valuable and successful and have the right character of carriage in that area.
It relates to many of us who decided to give trading a try and soon got discouraged as others continued, unwaivering in their effort to become good and make profit from it.

It is slow and steady that many times win the race and it is what makes a potential trader learn patience having been steadfast enough, despite the losses.
Even when a newbie trader has attained much profit from attempting to trade frequently, their approach towards the subject of trading and their knowledge base as well as the language or use of terms and words to show intelligence about trading, would be a great difference that is noticed at once.

I would like to include some variables that includes time, access to funds, access to information, ability to perform and remain disciplined, as contributions to what makes one a successful trader, but in reality all these variables and more is responsible for shaping ones character in the long run, by either making them humble or egotistical after they gain success as a trader.

* If you have happened to know a trader personally or admire one from afar, what character from your perspective, does such a one portray unknowingly that makes you know they are truly a trader and a very successful one at that?
Yes you're right, I have seen people getting into the wells of ego because they were suddenly profited with a lot of money. Money can bring happiness and comfort only if you have worked hard to earn it and you're capable enough of holding it.

If you have become rich suddenly then in most cases you don't know how to handle the money and fame along it. People will also get attached with you because money and handling them is also a big job.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need more developers? on: May 20, 2024, 01:06:42 PM
Bitcoin developers are ones which with the aid of proper education, training, research and practical work have helped in improving their skills and knowledge about bitcoin resulting to quality contribution to the bitcoin ecosystem, making it fast and efficient.
It is true, bitcoin developers have being increasing over the years but with recent happenings, don't you think bitcoin need more developers?

With the rapid adoption of bitcoin around the world where by some countries now uses bitcoin as a legal tender, companies and some other stores or shop now also uses bitcoin as a means of payment and concerning creating awareness or educating new users, I think the need for more developers should be considered.

Everyday more people are coming in, more hands are needed on security and privacy of bitcoin transactions, assurance of  the primary nature of bitcoin as a decentralized asset, wallet development and educating now users.
I think they should be sent in badges to areas where bitcoin haven't been heard or where their is no knowledge about digital gadgets or have access to the internet.
Am always open to learn and to take corrections.
what are your opinions?
Why not nothing in this world is perfect, BTC also has loop wholes that needs to be identified and filled. If the current team would be capable enough of doing so they would have done it, but its not done till now.

So new developer's can step in and advise some good strategies that can help to control the volatility of the BTC and to increase the return on investments. It's always advised to hire more skilled and we'll polished developers
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A debate between I and a friend who is real a time trader(Physical Trader) on: May 20, 2024, 12:02:29 PM
It was fun between I and a friend that we have not met for long now but has though keep active on communications.
So this friend is actually a trader who deals on physical commodities and I am proudly a bitcoin Investor.
So while we finally met today having some good times, Oh damn!!! It was fun when it was likely that we turned it up to a debate of defending our source of income.

It goes this way:

Him: Real time trading as it maybe popularly be known as physical trading has varieties sectors by which traders can engage on and make profits on diversifications of expanding source of incomes, it exposes traders to be familiar with lot of jurisdictions that may create quick highly profits in a very short term.
At some certain level, you can determine the future outcome of the market which traders can be possible to be avoided but though it does not mean we the real time treaders doesn't account looses.

Me: Bitcoin is a digital assets which could give Investors the flexibility allowances how by, you do not need those interpersonal marketing strategies before you can stand a chance to make profit like the physical traders.
Bitcoin has the potentialities to be beneficial for long term goals and investors can always set up their investment goals and as much diversify their investment portfolios characterizing of achieving a goal.
It doesn't require all that muscular energies such as the walkabouts and the stresses on mental strategies of drafting curve ways due to hedges potentials of economy downtimes which can as well be characterized on age fitness or age restrictions which apparently investing on Bitcoin is not based on all that.
Most interesting advantage of bitcoin over the real time treaders is that it posses the capacity to mitigate its Investors from global economy inflations and suppress the volatility of the fiats when the economy condition goes south.

His summary: Economy condition affects realtime traders as inflations but though traders can as much take advantage over the economy condition and deliberates on personally increasing the value of their goods.

Mine: Bitcoin encounters volatility as market condition but it's not worth panicking because the facilitations movement of bitcoin values requires the volatile potentials to drive the transformations of the downtimes to the uptimes.

I literally asked him what he think about being a full custodian to his source of income and what he think about his assets privacies?
He took a deep breath and say he would have love it better if the real time traders could take self custodial of their trading firms. He also said that the government would always keep eyes on the commerical sectors conditioning the treaders. I smiled when he said the government's regulations in some points makes it difficult for them with their sentiments of running a monopoly economy system.
It was like I have heard too much of his crying out loud over the governments policies.
Then I told be him that bitcoin is out of that era where the government make those authoritative policies for selfish interests. So, bitcoin as a non custodial digital investment network has its investors and everyone else associated with bitcoin the privileges to keep privacies with their portfolios and takes absolutely self control of their assets to trade and transacts on a non custodial person to person (P2P) without those government regulations such as the exercises  with the fiats transaction.

So dear fellas, defend your Bitcoin investment if you were me!
I think I will agree with both of you in some way but opinion of your friend is more important and worthy to discuss.

The economist say that economy effects all the things that happen in this world and I agree with them completely. If economy is not going well than all the things will be disturbed the prices will be high and inflation will start to rule the world. Crypto is also linked with economic conditions. The volatility of crypto can be justified with the volatile economy only.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Number of new Bitcoin wallets drops to lowest level since 2018 on: May 20, 2024, 11:48:47 AM
Everyone is beginning to be bearish hehehehe but this article cannot be more bullish, I reckon. New wallets and onchain volume might be down, however, the price of bitcoin has not dumped on our faces. How strong would bitcoin pump again when new investors arrive through the ETF and from retail investors? They will return and new projects created on bitcoin will make this a certainty.

Six months ago, excitement around spot Bitcoin ETFs, developments in the Bitcoin ecosystem such as Ordinals, and the upcoming halving drove the average weekly number of new Bitcoin addresses to approach its highest levels since its all-time high value in December 2017.

Yet six months on, just like in early 2018, the number of new addresses joining the network has cratered as the fervor around new Bitcoin projects dies down.

Other related metrics were down as well including, critically, miner revenue as measured by hash rate, which has also fallen to record lows. Transaction fees on the network are also down, as well as on-chain volume metrics.

Read in full https://www.theblock.co/post/295279/number-of-new-bitcoin-wallets-drops-to-lowest-level-since-2018
I think that after couple of months the BTC market will again pump a little but it greatly depends upon the market conditions of the world.

Rather than market conditions I should say political conditions. Like the dollar is being effected by the Middle east block and trades are being shifted from dollar to other currencies this is not a small event. If this continues then we should not expect BTC to pump rather if it remain on its position it would be a miracle.
192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo account on: May 19, 2024, 08:24:42 AM
There is something I understand about trading, that the beginners should not just ruch into trading because they see something on socials, the beginner's should understand how it works first before they start trading, that's why we have the demo account, try it with demo account first with that you will understand how it is, then you can stick any amount of money you want, thank you.
Yes demo accounts are a very good option for new traders as they can learn alot by trading with demo accounts. But most of people waste the account only in fun so don't do that.

Try to word hard to gain all the skills you can from different platforms. Once you are confident enough that you can now be a successful trader and your skills are polished enough only then test your skills with demo accounts.Take them seriously.
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 19, 2024, 08:12:36 AM
I think a lot of you traders can relate to me, ever since I joined this space in 2018, I have been struggling to make one trade or even a transaction. It doesn't matter if it was USDT p2p or anything.
I took so much time that I didn't even get to make profits that I hold but rather I lost a lot, But basically, it was my fault that I didn't really dig deep into it. Many of you are researching, checking project news, and familiarizing yourself with the charts. These three factors were not in my mind.
Years passed by, I learned to do much better than my newbie days. I gotta show my respect to all of the newbie traders here in the forum, cos I was in the same place as you and it didn't make me professional in an instant. It took me years to do what crypto traders would do to trade and make a profit

I have some friends that taught me how to trade much better, I am not sure if you guys were into trading competitions. I was partaking in some kind of annual trading competition called KCGI last year, that included demo trading & copy trading. That required my friends and me to create a team and we actually did some good trading volume in order to win rewards.
I learned that I would do demo trading and try my trades better, over time it was effective, as well as with copy trading.
There's a lot of trading competitions I joined in to get myself more into trading. I can't name them all but there was Bitget's KCGI, Binance Futures Tournament ,  WSOT by Bybit  Well of course, I didn't really care about rewards, but I once won something from Binance futures last year from doing futures copy trading.

If you guys really wanna get into them, then I think there'll be more crypto trading tournaments this year. You just have to be sensitive to announcements and have courage to participate ahah. Any experience about trading tournaments, let's hear your view.
Yes it's right that competition gives you a lot of view of trading and if you try hard to win you'll surely learn how to bear the pressure and how to overcome it to gain what you want.

As far as trading is concerned you have to invest your own assets so that you can trade with the fear of losing money. This fear will lead you to polish your skills and ultimately you'll get more profits as your skill set will be more professional then before.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 19, 2024, 07:16:30 AM
Let's say you have a job that gives you the option to have your salary paid in BTC, ETC, or any other cryptocurrency, would you prefer that or would you rather still be paid in fiat? If you'd prefer crypto payment, which currency would you choose and why?

This would be your hard-earned money that can either grow on its own or shrink in value within a small time.
As far as the salary of the lower middle class is considered I don't think it's the right strategy to give salaries in crypto. There will be many financial and technical problems that these people will face if they are taking salaries in crypto.

First of all most of the workers spend their salary divided on the monthly basis. As we all know that crypto is a very volatile market and it can have severe effects on their salaries. I think it's better to keep them away from these stresses.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to transition career into the Bitcoin industry on: May 19, 2024, 06:58:44 AM
Hi everyone,

I am an entrepreneur (3 startups) and a Technical Product Manager with extensive experience in building innovative authentication, identity, and digital payment solutions. As a co-founder of multiple startups, I have a proven track record of driving product development from concept to launch.

I'm eager to transition into the Bitcoin industry, where I aim to apply my skills. My personal experience with buying and holding Bitcoin, learning and researching mining, following experts like Jeff Booth, Ben Perrin, Gary Cardone, Mark Moss and others has fueled my passion for bitcoin technology.

Does anyone have advice on how to start working in this space? I'm open to part-time consulting roles to start, with a long-term goal of contributing full-time to a forward-thinking Bitcoin company.

Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you!
Look what you should do is invest yourself into the BTC market if you're so sure about your skills and if you're not that much sure that you should work on your skills more so that you can gain the confidence to invest your own assets first.

It's very easy to give advice on someone else's money but when it comes to your own money then your real skills will be tested. It will be more beneficial for you also because when you'll bear the pressure of losing your money then you'll work hard on your skills and in order to improve them.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you think is the right Name to use? on: May 18, 2024, 05:19:33 PM
Holla gentle men,

Before now, I have joined others to use the word "Bitcoiner" I checked and it is a dictionary word which best describe someone that invest, uses or have a professional knowledge of Bitcoin.

suffix is used to give a word a different meaning, adding the suffix "er" To Bitcoin gives a different meaning which sound cool. If you also add the suffix "ist" To Bitcoin, you will get another cool sounds but I can't see the word on dictionary.

My question is, between Bitcoin-er and Bitcoin-ist, which one sound better?

Another question is, what can we call the study of Bitcoin?  Huh
I think it's not important that what we call a Bitcoin expert rather than what's important is when we should give someone this title. One should have very good technical and non technical skills in order to be called as Bitcoinist.

If we don't focus on this every second person will call himself a Bitcoinist and sell his course to trap newbies and earn money.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoin specifically for holders.. on: May 18, 2024, 04:08:13 PM
Hey mates, how are y'all doing this good Friday? For memecoin enthusiasts, I just discovered this memecoin with the narrative of 'No more torture for holders' on the BNB chain called $HODL. Pretty good concept if you ask me. I also noticed the devs are the founders of Arbdoge, if you remember this meme from around 2023. So they may know what their doing lol.

As someone who's into memecoins, I think I'll keep an eye on this. Solid narrative, good community support, and CEX exposure too. Wanna ask though, what's that meme narrative that's got you intrigued?
actually I have invested into meme coins couple of times but my experience was not that much good with them. These are very volatile and prediction of their price is very difficult.

We can bet on them if we have some spare assets but risking large amounts if not what I would prefer because these can be very stressful for you if you are not that much sharp and skillful.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still to Invest into meme coins? on: May 18, 2024, 03:53:11 PM
from the last 3 months i have seen 99% meme coins on solana and all of them turned out to be a scam or the best projects have been missed how to check weather a meme coin is a solid or not because what i found a good project but when its launched it turned out to be a scam how to identify the projects with the scam and recently i found a project called school of meme they said we are here to educate other meme coins lol but the positive sign is they bot and game is live so what you think a school of meme is quite a good project or it also going to be a scam one.

Web: https://schoolofmeme.fun/
Look meme coin can make you rich but when to invest into meme coins and where to invest is very difficult to determine. Actually meme coins are very few which can give you some good profits rest of them are all spams and shit coins.

Now you should gather some very good and valuable skills in order to determine which meme coins will give you profits. Do some good free course and go through some YouTube playlist. Once you feel confident enough only them invest in them.

200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has chain link performed so far?? on: May 18, 2024, 03:32:05 PM
Seeing the recent news about some partnership involving link, got me to wonder. I've known this token for a while- about 3years and it's made little or minor progress. With the bull approaching, do you think now is finally the time for link to live up to expectations??
yes the price of the project is quiet an positive factor in order to invest in it but the reality is that it should have many more things in the base in order to gain the attention of investors. Price can be manipulated a little by the market condition but if a project has good fundamentals then it's price can be justified.

I haven't seen such strong problem solving features into the project. It's possible that I might be missing some so if anyone is here to highlight it will be appreciated.
