182  Other / Meta / Re: Reasons of be inactive on: March 19, 2024, 07:47:59 PM
It's nice to observe anywhere you are, this forum is mega forum base on It's capacity of containment of members, and secondly i want to make this my article brief for we to understand.

I observed that the reason why some active members became inactive in the forum is as result of lacks of campaigns, I don't know if anyone have noticed that, I don't want to call names of people who has reduce their activity in the forum based their not in campaign...it means that many users will silent forum if signature campaign is not on forum, these is my little observations.
There are some facts in what you have just said op but believe me to tell you that most people entered the forum because they want first-hand information about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Outside the forum, people are spending a lot of money paying for courses online to get a classic information about bitcoin and how to invest and trade cryptocurrency, but joining the forum have made them reduce their way of spending because information is shared here free and after they might have gotten enough knowledge, they will leave the forum because they have gotten what they came for and not for the signature campaign.

lastly , permit me to let you know op that the knowledge and ideas shared here are more than what they pay for the campaign because the knowledge is everlasting while the campaign is temporal, the campaign is also helping out to keep us busy especially we newbies because it gives us the opportunity to explore the forum and know much about the forum but note that the primary aim of the forum is to share ideas and discuss bitcoin related issues in details.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 19, 2024, 05:49:46 PM
The cost of things has gone up so much so that it's glaring. Imagine paying 5-12$ for an average meal you could get before for 3$. The jump cost is extremely high. Cooking a meal at home can cost you the same amount you would spend on eating in a restaurant. Funny enough people still afford all these things without complaining. My anger is that we make money to spend it all into our normal life expenses. It's difficult now to save or invest unless you part of the rich people in society. An average man has to just eat, pay bills, and survive.
The cost of leaving is rapidly increasing globally, things are going up higher and higher every blessed day the rate of economic crunch is quite alarming, people only hustle to feed their families and pay bills.

This might shock you and i am also very ashamed to tell you that the rate of $1 to my currency is 1,477.25 as at today and we are even happy that the rate has come down , my dear mate i don't actually know where we are heading to, it is only few people that talks about investment, every average man hustle to feed their family and sustain their bills.

however, my question is when will all these scandals come to an end , what will be the solution to all these problems, but when i look at those questions it seems rhetorical because it is effortless asking because the bad governance has turned to be hereditary, people now hand over from one bad government to another worst government at the detriment of the poor electorates. But one thing that motivates me more is the rise of bitcoin, because bitcoin (digital currency) has become the hope for the common man.

i tagged bitcoin the hope of common man because , i have actually suffered in the street but i was relieved around 2020 when my friend introduced bitcoin to me and advised me to buy and hodl  , i did exactly as he said and up till today i have never regrated being part of the investment.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 19, 2024, 02:48:02 PM
Hi everyone,

Gambling has become very popular in the world , especially after the changes that have occurred over the years with modern technology and the abundance of games, we can now gamble with one push    anywhere and anytime . More money is flowing to sites and casinos in huge quantities, and everyone’s goal is to win more ,As is always known, if there is a loser, there is a winner, and I don't think that the percentage of losers is greater than the winners .

Is this true gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it?
op i sincerely cannot agree with this your assertion that gambling is a place to lose money. Gambling as the name implies is a game of chance and luck and many individuals that i know have actually changed their lives through gambling.

some people naturally are very lucky when it comes to gambling because there are chances of them making more profits at every bet that they placed  and if you are not in the category of those who are lucky enough to make money through  gambling, that does not really implies that gambling is a place to lose money. instead if you tell me that greedy gamblers lose more money because they are not always satisfied with any amount they make at every bet placed then i will agree with you rather than to generalize that gambling is a place to lose money.

186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Success is a meaningless word without failure. on: March 18, 2024, 02:19:26 AM
The forum has been very interesting since the bull run started because there are so many positive confessions by so many of us here about how the price of bitcoin has gladdened their hearts positively.

However, I decided to put up this topic because while exploring the forum i saw so many complaints about trading , many have lamented that they have lost a lot of money trying to trade, some also said that they are good in demo accounts but while trying to trade with their real accounts they end up losing money and some also said that they bought so many courses online and that they learnt how to trade yet they are afraid of losing their small capital , so the question here now is 'who is ready for failure while everyone wants to be successful'?

success is actually meaningless word without failure, because most of us loose some of their trades and at same time feel very disappointed because they only focused their mindset on making profits alone without anticipating any chances of loss or failure. losing a particular trade or several trades does not really make you a failure instead it gives you the opportunity to embrace every important lesson that you failed to achieve in your missteps or in your wrong turns.

Lastly, please my fellow beginners let's not be discouraged by the number of losses or failures we experience while trading because failure begets success, also we should focus more on hodling coins even when we trade because we cannot predict the price fluctuations of coins in the future.

187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A curious Newbie!! on: March 16, 2024, 02:50:52 AM
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie with crypto knowledge though. I'm here to network. I see some beautiful profiles with lots of merits and I'm interested in being like that someday. How can that be achieved? Is it like a gift or something.. pls help 😎
Welcome to the forum mate , the forum is quite an accommadative place ,where you can grow in wisdom and harness your reading and writing potentials.  The forum is like an institution of learning where everything is taking gradually , from one step to another, and from one rank to another.

first,  i will advice you  to cultivate the habit of reading at this earlier stage than writing, 'CURIOSITY' as seen in your topic will not be the best way to grow faster in the forum, rather loyalty , consistency and constant efforts will make you strong in the forum .

In addition, concerning how to get merit, just like you said, merit is not a gift rather it is the reward you get for making a  sensitive, educating and quality post.  Always feel very free to ask questions when necessary beacuse all the answers will be provided for you in a giffy by the high ranked members.

Lastly, for you to make a quality and constructive post, you will have to first of all identify your field of study, where you interest centers and start from there, you are also expected to go through the forum rules and regulations so that you will not go about and post threads in the boards that you are not supposed to post. Always try and engage i discussions that you are familiar with and not in every discussion, try as much as possible not to spam for there appropriate sanctions for that. once again welcome to  the best bitcoin forum .
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: March 16, 2024, 01:53:57 AM
As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.

Making gambling a full-time job might be seen as risky, but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?
Op nothing is actually impossible on earth, but just know that gambling is a game of luck and seeing it as a profession or career is more or less being jobless because no one can actually accommodate risk as an occupation.

career here stands for something that you will be doing to earn a living and cater for yourself and your family if am not mistaken, and seeing gambling here as a carer there are some likely factors one had to consider before taking such decisions which include the following:
1. gambling is not certain; any person or group of persons that want to see gambling as their source of livelihood should put at their minds that gambling is not certain rather it is based or probability(an outcome of an expectation in any numeric event) either to win or loss.

2. gambling has no basic salary wage: this is factually another important factor that the person has to consider because there is no specified salary for gamblers rather, they earn through predictions which your predictions might fail you as well ( still revolves in uncertainty).

3.you are responsible for your own liability : No company or firm will deem it necessary to employ a gambler as a staff ,however you can employ yourself and you are vitually liable for your own loss . no ones owes you any explanation for your loss and you also owe no one any explanation for your loss as well which invariably implies that you are responsilbe for your own liablilty .

4. lastly in gambling you dont report to anyone instead you report to your emotion and conscience and many more other things to consider .However , for me it is not ideal for someone to see gambling as a career or a profession beacuse it lies in a two sided efforts is either you loose or you gain.
189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need honest advise concerning this. on: March 08, 2024, 12:35:59 AM
I've been advised that as a newbie i shouldn't rush but to learn from old forum members and grow. But then, I've seen that for one to grow over here you need to get merited and on a regular basis, well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?

OP first of all, I will sincerely tell you that you are not doing anything wrong and should not be discouraged because nothing good comes easy. Don't also feel that your post is not seen and recognized, your posts are actually seen by some merits source but maybe any of the merits source might not have merits at that particular time to dispose.

keep on reading the threads of the high ranked members and also see how they create their topics and try and understand the difference between their post and your post and take necessary correction for improvement. i will also advise you to continue making reasonable contributions and have it in mind that one day merit will come as expected.

lastly, try and navigate the forum and find a particular board that you understand more and be making a quality contribution and sometimes you will start a topic to try your strength and don't hurry to post in all the boards because the forum is very vast for you to know all in a short time.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 07, 2024, 11:53:06 PM

So the question now is: What could really put a gambler in such a situation, addiction, or greediness?
Op your narration is actually true because i have actually witnessed a scene where such thing happened. But regarding your question concerning addiction and greediness i can also tell you that his reason might not be either of the two. His actions or what propelled him to play that visual might be financial instability, family problems, rents, children's school fees and many more and he is probably seeking for an alternative to stabilize his financial needs.

In addition, most gamblers are not addicted or greedy, they actually gamble in other to solve the problem that they are facing at that particular point in time  .In most countries where  the economy has not been very friendly with her citizens, as a result of bad governance and lack of job opportunities however, most of the citizens result to trying their lucks through gambling to know if luck will shine on them in other for them to meet up with their domestic and social needs and that does not actually means that they are greedy or addicted but they act out of frustration.

195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: March 05, 2024, 10:25:42 AM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Gambling as the name implies is all about risk and risk here is a chance of loss and the possibility of an unfavorable events occurring, hence with this  definition of risk one can actually stand and say that there is no certainty in any game rather they are purely on predictions.

furthermore, regarding your question about gambling experts, there are virtually individuals who are risk managers that can be able to predict the propensity of every loss but yet they are not certain about their predictions , so there is no gambling experts because gambling is a game of chance and luck .Even the climatologist and metrologist do make mistakes about the climate changes and this shows that no one is certain about what will happen in the next minute but can predict for the next minute . Therefore, there is no experts gambling predictions.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: March 02, 2024, 05:31:58 PM
One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.

* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.

* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .

Op this is actually a good decision making process for every gambler but it is not easy as you are saying it .There is spirit that comes when you are winning ,the spirit encourages you to continue that there are chances of you to win more and that innate idea gladdens your moral to stake more bets .

Again same thing applies when you are losing the spirit will also encourage you to continue trying so you can reinstate the money that you have lost. with this i will sincerely say that it is not their fault and not in their normal state to stop .

for instance , i have seen an addicted gambler that was playing snooker with his follow gamblers ,he won all their money and instead of him to leave the place he still borrowed them money back just to continue playing ,thus it takes self control and total avoidance to stop gambling because i dont think that there will be any alternative measures to quench their addiction.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 07:27:45 PM
I decided to come up with this topic because of an experience i had yesterday and i decided to bring it here for clarity sake and to see some people's view about it.

There is this notion the society placed on those who gamble or who play all sorts of games ,be it casino,bet9ja,R/S lotto, what, snooker and many others. They often see them as those who don't have what to do ,or caliber of individuals who are jobless, a set of people who are not well trained by their parents and many more other names they call them.

i sincerely came up with this topic to find out why they have such views on individuals who voluntarily went to the betting shop to gamble either to win and make a difference or to lose and remain the same way.  This idea actually started when i saw a pastor playing bet9ja after a brief evangelism and one elderly woman made a side comment ( That even man of GOD also play gamble) .

however, my question here now is : is gambling restricted to some certain kind of individuals or class?  or is there any stratification when it comes to playing gambling ?please your opinions here will actually quench my curiosity.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: February 29, 2024, 03:12:38 PM
There was a friend of mine who visited me a day after and he was saying gambling every day draws you more closer to winning.

I asked him how?

He said when you keep trying luck every day you stand the chance not to miss your luck of winning, he also made reference to few people around our locality who won outrageous Money within 31 Dec to 1 January 2024, asking if I knew how often those people keep trying for them to have the winning they got.

I said No! He then say the more you space the more I missed my chances of winning but what I came to understand is that, the more anyone keeps trying the slimmer such persons turns into gambling addiction becus such person will always want to gamble regularly stirring up some forms of pressure to himself. When there is no money to gamble such person don't mind going extramile to source for funds since he has install this mentality of regularly gambling without giving break.

My question is do you think gambling every day is better? From his reasoning and points of narrations.
From his point of narration gambling everyday is not quite bad if you have the resources to gamble as long as it does not inconvenience you from pursuing your daily income.

most times gambling everyday brings you closer to winning  as regards to  your friend's point of narration , for instance some people are very conversant with R/S lotto and the more they try the numbers repeatedly makes them win the game . However, just like as i said earlier gambling everyday is not actually bad as long as it does not distract you from chasing your daily income because the chances of winning your game is 75% out of 100%.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 29, 2024, 01:22:37 PM
If you know anybody trying to stop the addiction of gambling to become better for themselves and their family, try and show them support by not criticizing them. If you observe that they experience some kind of relapse and go back to gamble even when they said they were not going to gamble, try to encourage them to remember why they wanted to stop gambling for the time. It is not an easy decision for some of them to make, and even imagining that they will never gamble again can make it worse for them, most of them need all the support they can get to help them maintain the decision to give gambling some time away. If you criticize and mock them, they may nurse in the heart the mindset that gambling is impossible to stop, or even stop trying to stop gambling because you have already made them feel like they can never do it.
op criticizing them will not actually help them but the issue here is that addiction i like something that is already part of you so it actually takes a whole lot of courage and sensitization to achieve.

lets take chain smokers for example , it is always very hard for any chain smoker to tell you that he /she wants to quit smoking whereas he/she stays with the company of smokers ,this is always very easy to say buy very hard to accomplish unless the person avoids his company of friends that he keeps.

lastly ,criticizing gamblers will not actually make them to stop rather supporting them with words of encouragement will help them reduce their addiction. and also every addicted gambler who wants to quit gambling should also stay away from his collage of friends that gamble too.
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: February 28, 2024, 11:23:31 PM
We have all noticed the changes that have occurred in gambling over the past years, as gambling in 1990 or before is not the same as it is today due to several factors, including:
-Ease of playing and more casinos.
-Inventing new tools and methods of playing.
-Online gambling and the emergence of easy-to-use applications that support all games.
-The method of advertising has changed, becoming more effective and attracting more players.
-The presence of liquidity due to the increase in the amounts that players bet.
-Provides more profit opportunities..

In your opinion, what are the factors that brought  change in the field of gambling? What is your outlook on it in the future?
the advance of technology has made gambling very easier unlike in the past years .the evolution of technology has practically made everything easy and secured  as a result of series of automated systems.

Like in the early 1990's most countries in the world mostly Africans don't know much about mobile phone and then their method of gambling was practically analogue ,most times after placing bets they  will misplace the betting slip or wash it away while washing their wears but presently one can actually go to any betting shop and  place bet with desktop or laptops or  even with mobile phone and will save the data or the betting slip in the system for reference purposes .

presently ,there is an online betting (gambling) unlike in the past days where everyone will be struggling in the betting shop to collect their ticket or slip .
finally, technology has facilitated immensely in the growth of gambling and has made gambling very easier and less stressful and  also made people to be losing money as a result of visual gambling (soccer)  .
