Tested the droid wallet, sending and receiving is working well However if I try to create a new address through the menu it crashes on me. Not a big deal.. I'm on 6.0 Marshmallow

I'm going to test it later this morning. I'm still on android 5.0. I have some other devices in tha that are rockin 6.0. If I find a solution I'll let you know.

Good stuff, thanks CryptoRekt.

We should get a nice signature setup to help promote C-Bit throughout the boards here.

yeah i agree, a signature campaign is in order. we can all contribute to a pool and whoever makes the best c-bit sig gets the prize!

ill contribute 5k XCT to it.

yeah i agree. also i had no issues, when i installed it asked me what datadir i wanted, and the default was cbit.

patience young padawans, im sure we'll see it trading soon, and quickly gain value. to me, this is the dogecoin to litecoin.

the world needs a bitcoin times ten, and larger blocks.

Sorry, Again
Un-documented Alien Founder C-bit
*****************************

Let's all get something perfectly understood from this moment forward.
I'm talking to specific people on the board.

I'm a straight talking guy and I'll say something straight forward here.

This adventure has cost well into 5 figures. And, I mean well into.

If you look at the source code, this is professionally done; and its'
been a bitch. The wallets are professionally done, the pools are
professionally done, and the website is professionally done.
This is not some desktop production by a guy sitting in his parent's
basement. If you can't look at these items and tell the difference,
then your not as bright as you think you are.

I, myself, am a businessman, who was approached to bankroll a group
of Bitcoin developers on this project. I have no former BitcoinTalk posts
to reveal. So, there won't be any forthcoming revelations to the board.
As far as the first poster to the C-bit board, he is a Bitcoin Developer who
does not wish to be known because of his connections to Bitcoin. Simple.
End of story. His past threads will also not be published. There are also
other members of the C-bit team who are members of the Bitcoin
development team. They will remain anonymous too. That is the way it
is going to be. End of story.

If you are worried that we are going to dump our coins, I think you
over-estimate their early value. Even if we owned half of them, and
could get $ .01, which everyone here seems to think is a way-over
valuation, we might get our money back from the investment. Of
course, selling half the coins in existence would crash the price long
before they were ever sold, so you would never average $ .01. So,
I, we, would lose money.

What kind of a scam is that ?

So, my suggestion is if you really think that we are trying to pull a
scam, then the minute YoBit begins trading C-bit, sell your coins and
go on your merry way; and, leave the rest of the community to build
C-bit, so we can rest alongside Bitcoin somewhere down the line.

i've still got a little hash pointed at this and will continue to watch. ill reach out to yobit again and bleutrade as well.

edit: having some good luck on superninjapool and alpha Cheesy

You know what.
You're right.
My mistake.
I handled this incorrectly.
I will get with the moderator and figure out how to come back
up on the forum as a recognized individual with authority.
I apologize for my inconsiderate approach to the community.
( By the way, the post is real and from the Founder of C-bit )

That would be good and sooner rather than later.

If you come back with your real account, people can see your posts and the type of person you are from your interaction with the community so far then it will help the coin a lot. The Cbit guy from the first post must do the same. There are too many examples of newbie coins that crash when dumped as soon as it gets listed on an exchange. Most of those guys probably want to hide away not to be found after they have dumped and disappeared. Posex and Gravitybit being recent cases.

i dont know, from a developers standpoint if i were to create a new coin for some reason, i would probably make a new account that represents it and makes it obvious what the account is designated for.

especially if i had an account with like 420 or 69 in it, etc. lol

Well while we are waiting for an exchange, if anyone wants to buy let me know. Name your price  Wink
i will pay 0.25 for 150,000 if you dont want to hold

Thanks for the offer but for that price I will definitely hold. I'm thinking XCT has a brighter future in store than that. Especially since that is over two entire days of network production for .25 BTC

yeah i just did the math, that is an entire days emission from the whole network, at this rate, and the difficulty is only going to increase, and when it does, we'll be looking at 10 minute blocks, up from 5 minutes, and then production will be 72000 coins a day. i wouldn't consider letting go of 150,000 for less than 2 btc. now that i've had a chance to check my antminer and my earnings it looks like a more suitable price would be > 1000 sat.

you'd have to spend a few bitcoins just to get that many coins in a day at this point..
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCT] C-Bit - Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Blockchain Problem [SHA256][POW] on: February 26, 2016, 12:39:38 PM
what should the starting value of this coin be? i was thinking ~250 satoshi, that way if anyone does dump it'll be easy to collect the coins from their weak hands  Grin

i think more of a "branding" would be nice, maybe we can have a logo contest or something? i like the logo as is, but a little "pizzazz" couldnt hurt.

anywho im still mining on alpha, slowly, as i have alot of my hashpower tied up elsewhere..

this should be on an exchange soon, and i wouldn't mind trying to accumulate more, possibly cheaper than mining, from people who jumped on early..

i know bittrex would list the coin for 3BTC, but i think we should wait for yobit to pick it up first, and have some fun.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The C-bit Bitcoin [XCT] | Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Looming Blockchain Problem on: February 25, 2016, 07:33:40 PM
just noticed the difficulty is 16million, but still 500 coins per block! i'll be mining on alpha for the next couple of days. I hope we see an exchange soon!
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The C-bit Bitcoin [XCT] | Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Looming Blockchain Problem on: February 24, 2016, 08:45:42 PM
i sent yobit a message to see if they've thought about listing this coin.

im sure some exchanges will list it within a week and we'll have a better idea of value.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The C-bit Bitcoin [XCT] | Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Looming Blockchain Problem on: February 24, 2016, 06:33:59 PM
curious how much of that nethash is "insider," as most of the hash has now died down on my pool.

There is not very much momentum currently -- The social feeds haven't picked up on this thread or the new currency yet. I'd advise getting out on twitter and blowing up about $CBIT.

yeah im still mining on the "alpha" pool.. i should tweet to a few exchanges
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The C-bit Bitcoin [XCT] | Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Looming Blockchain Problem on: February 24, 2016, 05:09:05 PM
I'm still curious how a transaction would take place. If something costs me 0.1 BTC, I could either send 0.1 BTC from my BTC wallet, or I could send 1 XCT from my XCT wallet? I understand the XCT blockchain is the same, but different? Sorry if this results in a lengthy, technical answer but I'm really curious how exactly this would work.

it works the same as the bitcoin blockchain, but xct are not bitcoins. they will have to establish a value, once they hit exchanges, which im sure is in the works..

the value will be determined by those of us mining and people who decide to incorporate xct into their financial systems, via merchant payments etc..

we're still in the very early stages, but i think once an exchange adds it, we'll see more follow and a value be established.

I don't know if this sort of concept has ever been attempted before, however upon delving deeper into the goals of this coin I become very excited. I believe one detail that confuses people with BTC is the denominations. People see that something costs 0.3 BTC and are like wtf m8. I think it's interesting to create an environment where we have multiple "Bitcoins" that have different values. I understand that a lot of people want to move away from how the current currency system is set up, but maybe we need something like this for widespread adoption.

I agree with what you're saying, and your description "People see that something costs 0.3 BTC and are life wtf m8." Gave me a chuckle...

It does make sense. I always thought the same thing myself, it puts off people who don't know crypto when they're told something costs 0.017 or something goofy like that.

i agree as well, this being bitcoin, but with larger blocks and ten times the coins, gives us crypto community folks the chance to have a dollar bill instead of a 430 dollar bill that needs to be broken at every store. also, since its obviously open source, we can all work on it as a community. i like where this is going, maybe this has the chance to be decentralized like bitcoin once was.

ps: you guys heard that the bitcoin devs have Bain Capital at that meeting? what the fuck lol so much for "decentralized". wonder if mitt romney was there  Cheesy

pps: blocks are starting to move alot slower now and the difficulty continues to increase. finally i have something i can do with my old antminer. just when i thought it was going to become an old expensive paperweight.

well its bitcoin so im not toooo surprised.. plus im getting alot of connections on my wallet.. im gonna put in a request to yobit tomorrow if they aren't already working on adding this.

could be fun to have a larger amount of coins in circulation, bigger block size, n stay in sync with bitcoin core.. this should be paired with btc asap, i think if it is early on,

it would be interesting to watch it's chart and compare it to bitcoins.

Excuse the ignorance since I'm running out the door and don't have time to investigate, but was there a premine at all?

No. We only mined a couple of blocks to test proof of work, and we went public sometime around block 10.

We'll have a blockchain explorer and android wallet shortly.

Excellent, thanks for the response. I look forward to the diff climbing and slowing down the block time. Distribution will fix itself up then. Looks like early adopters are rewarded well..

Also, nice news on the services. The more the better!

yeah good stuff dev.. keep it up

ps: craslovell, i dig the pink floyd reference Cheesy

It took 3 years on the forum for someone to reference that, you made my night. thank you!!!  Grin

heheh im a huge fan. if you haven't seen Live in Pompeii, id suggest doing so immediately.

we should try n get yobit to list c-bit.. this coin should start off small and organic
been watching the debug logs n stuff n everything seems solid, would like to see the difficuly continue to increase though so the blocks slow down..

but for now, im not gonna complain until my asic runs out in a week days lol

due to the orphans we're seeing with the super fast block times, I just want to make sure everything is working. Can anyone mining at my pool verify that they've received payout?
receive 6000 so far

Thank you. Looks like its working just fine then. Just need to stabilize out the network diff.

I received some payout on your pool thanks. Does look like alot more than 210M will be mined tho unless things are going to slow down

Thanks for confirming. I don't think we're seeing as many orphans already, it's slowly starting to stabilize.

can confirm as well, blocks are definitely slowing down and since when i jumped on around height 7k, the difficulty has continued to quadruple every 2016 blocks.

now at a diff of 262144

feels like everyones been waiting for a bitpenny so to speak.. i already like this coin, and i've always loved bitcoin core.
