185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When i hear banks say I like blockchain tech but not bitcoin... on: May 21, 2015, 09:45:27 PM
They (bankers) believe the real thing is blockchain not bitcoin. Many believe the future's financial system will be based on blockchain technology. They want to give impress that Bitcoin is so important as people believe. That is the reason they promote and willingly are ready to embrace the blockchain tech.

That maybe the future of the financial system but only if it gets adopted by the banks and gov.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an actual Bitcoin bank yet? on: May 21, 2015, 09:41:55 PM

187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Governments Will Create Their Own Cryptocurrencies on: May 21, 2015, 09:40:57 PM
I doubt the government will create a Cryptocurrencies as bitocin, because Cryptocurrencies as bitocin can't be control by government.

They could easily if they controlled the system that runs the coin.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blokes Use Breaking Bad Theme to Extort Innocent Aussie Victims on: May 21, 2015, 06:45:37 PM
If satoshi is still alive I am surprised he hasn't been driven mad because he has the coins but he cant use them.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 21, 2015, 06:39:15 PM

im just wondering if it is that they dont trust it or are just waiting to adopt it when the timing is right....
I know they have to see the overall value in it, also the fact that it can be mined cheaper and more environmentally friendly than any other precious metals that are being mined...

I believe it is a little bit of both but mainly a distrust for something they cant control.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay your employees in Bitcoin on: May 21, 2015, 06:27:12 PM
The only problem with this is price fluctuation but that will go down in time.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Regulator Assholes on: May 21, 2015, 06:24:08 PM

192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When i hear banks say I like blockchain tech but not bitcoin... on: May 21, 2015, 05:59:03 PM
well they kinda centralized it(internet) with all the ISP they raised in the world

they will do the same with bitcoin with centralized node, from where you need to connect to gain access to your wallet, it's just a bad dream....

Yes, but since the beginning it was expected that big farms would be the only ones both doing the mining and storing the blockchain.

Well they got it right but from an economical standpoint it had to happen.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Pizza-Day is near! 22. May! on: May 21, 2015, 05:56:20 PM

195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wedding rings! on: May 21, 2015, 03:46:26 PM
Not everyone like the QR code in a wedding ring. In my opinion, it's really ugly, if i use such ring to propose my wife, i may be refused.  Grin
BTW, she is not a bitcoin fans.

That is because the one in the OP is ugly.
Of course you will get turned down.

Try to propose to her with something like this:

Are those diamonds?   Roll Eyes

This one looks a lot better the one op had looked like a toy.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google "Bitcoin" on: May 21, 2015, 03:39:59 PM
In the past, when we Google Bitcoin the results would be Bitcoin.org with no other additional material. Sometime this or last year, I noticed that Google add in a 'box' which fetch text from Bitcoin.org. Those text explain what is Bitcoin. Just last month or so, Google switched the site to Coindesk.com. I wonder why. Anyone have an answer? I feel that Bitcoin.org explanation is simple and easy to understand. Coindesk.com explanation is long and not easy to understand. Which one do you prefer?

I which I could have the old Bitcoin.org text..

It's probably because Coindesk covers most of the news regarding Bitcoin.
Therefor one could be searching for Bitcoin news that Bitcoin.org cannot provide.

And the fact that coin desk payed for the spot.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain or bitcoin on: May 21, 2015, 03:38:33 PM
There are lots of discussion about of the relationship between blockchain and bitcoin.
Most of bitcoiner believe we can't split blockchain and bitcoin, without bitcoin, blockchain will no safe and it will useless. It's the bitcoin secure the blockchain.
if this point is right. then i got a question, compare pow blockchain, i think pos blockchain may be more secure than pow blockchain. such as NXT blockchain VS bitcoin blockchain.
And why we can sure bitcoin's blockchain is the most value-full?
I mean we need find a security blockchain, bitcoin's blockchain may not be the best choice.

Bitcoin was the beginning of an experiment that has caught fire and spread wildly. There are now hundreds of stable blockchains.

Once 51% defense systems (like the one we invented) become commonplace, and cheap hashrate becomes plentiful, the price and energy required to keep a blockchain secure will become negligible.

All blockchains are extremely weak compared to Bitcoin's. Bitcoin's blockchain has an army of the equivalent of 77000 units of the faster supercomputer in the world, in other words is secured by the strongest network on the planet. That's why NASDAQ and the rest of big infrastructures will work with the Bitcoin blockchain and will not waste resources trying to make their own blockchain, or use an altcoin which means several orders of magnitude less secure.

Until the two biggest pools team up and decide to attack the block chain. The network would be much safer if there were no giant pools that could potentially be abused.

Like 2 or more of the 4 leading pools, all of which are Chinese? https://blockchain.info/pools
And wasn't the farms of both BW and Antpool at the same location? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=969823.0

And isn't it true that they will benefit more by using their hashrate to get most of the blocks, rather than attacking the blockchain?

If they attack it they could gain a shit ton of coins without having to spend years to get it.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining in Germany? on: May 20, 2015, 04:51:08 PM
It sounds a lot like asking someone for where they store there gold they may give you tips on how to mine but past that your out of luck.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $80,000 in Bitcoin Seized in International Dark Web Crackdown on: May 20, 2015, 04:47:46 PM
old news there was already a thread about it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1063306.0

is this guy a bot, it's at least the third time that he post the same news
why could he be a bot if different people posted the news? also he is a senior member and is in a good sig campaign

There are specialized bots out there that can do this. For example XRumer, is the most advanced possibly. Can spam forums, guestbooks and break captchas and much more. XRumer has a function to that allows to produce posts in a forum until the user is trusted and can post his spamlinks. The content can be taken from other posts, repeat other answers or taken elsewhere from another forum with same topic.

Spammer really are a own of its kind.

How is that profitable though? that program must cost a pretty penny and the most this guy will be able to sell them for is .03 a account.
