Το slack είναι ένα εξαιρετικό εργαλείο για άμεση επικοινωνία και συνεργασία.

Τώρα που όλο και περισσότεροι άνθρωποι γνωρίζουν την αποκεντρωμένη και συνεργατική φύση του bitcoin τέτοιες υπηρεσίες ανθίζουν και προσφέρουν πραγματικά άπειρες δυνατότητες.

Κάναμε ανοιχτό το invite για να είναι πιο εύκολη η πρόσβαση.

Να τονίσουμε ότι σκοπός μας είναι να βοηθάμε ο ένας τον άλλον και μαζί την κοινότητα. Οι άνθρωποι που συμμετέχουμε εδώ έχουμε δημιουργήσει τα δύο τελευταία meetups και τώρα δουλεύουμε για τη δημιουργία hackathon για το bitcoin και την τεχνολογία του.

EDIT: Φαίνεται ότι είναι κλειστό το public invite για επί πληρωμή members. Μέχρι να βρούμε λύση, η πρόταση μπορεί να γίνεται in person με email. Οπότε, προς το παρόν μόνο με PM. Συγνώμη για το noise απ'όλους.

Επειδή πήγε να ποστάρει συνεχόμενα και είναι low karma οι σύνδεσμοι πιανόντουσαν στο spam filter. Τώρα το άλλαξα σε low το strength του spam και νομίζω δεν θα έχει πρόβλημα.

Αυτό όμως σημαίνει ότι θα χρειάζεται πιο πολύ manual έλεγχος του subreddit από τους mods.

Το σίγουρο είναι ότι είναι disruptive για το Bitcoin.

Αλλά ευτυχώς-δυστυχώς αυτή είναι και η φύση του.

I was thinking of innovative ways on how to avoid the frustration of the time you have to wait for confirmations.

Like for example, educational videos about bitcoin or to participate in a faucet or any other idea.

Let's get something useful here!

Yes, I understand.

Despite of my solidarity thoughts about these poor people, the technology of Bitcoin is not something that can be imposed. It is an option.

I might be in a hurry for a better world.   

But, the question is how to create a community that sees value in this currency. For example, if there are 100% premined coins to be given away with a cheap smartphone and other solidarity actions that are covered by the media, then the immigrant coin can get value and make these people have something worthy in their pockets.

The hype behind the movement is the best valuation.

They will be purchased by their relatives in their birthplaces and by investors who will see value in the currency.

Because immigrants have no country and that means no official currency.

The bitcoin is transnational, so as the immigrants all over the world.

We can mine this altcoin (immigrant coin) and distribute it to the illegal immigrants.

It will surely have very high adoption rates.

The only way for a parallel bitcoin to succeed is to have more value than the previous.

In order to have this value investors must believe in it and devs must be very focused and innovative and "sell" this initiative as a bitcoin without flaws.

It might gain some momentum and be competitive because it'd have the same brandname, but I really don't think that could ever outpace the original bitcoin.

Nevertheless, I think it could be a cool experiment.

Αυτή είναι μία σύντομη ανακοίνωση του Blockchain Hackathon στο The Cube στην Αθήνα το οποίο τώρα σχεδιάζεται. Ο σκοπός του hackathon είναι να συνδέσει την τοπική κοινότητα των προγραμματιστών με το development του Blockchain και να τους ενθαρρύνει να χτίσουν τις δικές τους εφαρμογές με αυτήν την καινοτόμο τεχνολογία. Μέσα από αυτό ελπίζουμε να φέρουμε την τοπική κοινωνία πιο κοντά στο Bitcoin μαζί με την ενημέρωση για το πως θα μπορούσε να βοηθήσει σε μερικά από τα υπάρχοντα προβλήματα και να εμποδίσει από την ανάπτυξη καινούριων.  

Ζητούμε ανθρώπους να μας βοηθήσουν στην οργάνωση του hackathon και να το κάνουμε μία πραγματικά μεγάλη επιτυχία. Εάν ενδιαφέρεστε να συνεργαστούμε, παρακαλούμε επικοινωνήστε για να σας προσθέσουμε στην ομάδα μας.



This is a short announcement of the Blockchain Hackathon at The Cube in Athens that is currently being planned. The purpose of this Hackathon is it to connect the local developer community with Blockchain development and encourage them to build applications with this new innovation. Through this we hope to also bring the local population closer to Bitcoin and educate them (through presentations, flyers and educational material) about Bitcoin and how it could help them solve some of their current problems and prevent future ones from happening.
