181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: November 17, 2016, 05:37:38 AM
All updates iota team post in slack or medium.
Community manager is the one who copy-paste updates from slack to forum  Huh
So far some ideas for the role are to:

  • have a direct channel to the Foundation to ask questions and receive updates
  • produce a weekly update for the IOTA community
  • be active in IOTA threads here, providing updates and asnwering questions
  • be active on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Steemit etc. disseminating information
  • generally be a bridge between the Foundation and the community

The above will help to better promote IOTA to new and existing community members and also the wider crypto world.

The core team are so busy working on the important tasks that having someone in this role should help increase communication - they have said they will actively work with whoever takes this on.

We have started a bounty work for Chinese translation of IOTA tutorials and blog writings at here and wechat group. If you have some new writing about IOTA, please let me know.

Right now we have put 20Gi from George, Linxu Du and me. Typical translation of one tutorial or blog post is 1Gi.

This is fantastic, definitely a good area to focus on.

Or otherwise maybe someone like Yassin?
Yes Why not!! Smiley
Thanks, Yassin. Sorry to put you on the spot!
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: November 16, 2016, 04:43:54 PM
how much do you want ? Smiley
Amazing to see you are willing to help fund this, thank you  Smiley

Perhaps someone on the Foundation could create an address to keep the funds in while this is being organised? Or otherwise maybe someone like Yassin?

The community will also need to choose who they would like to do this.

More input needed Smiley
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: November 16, 2016, 04:20:46 PM
So we have volunteers, now we need the community to step up and fund this.

Those involved in the initial sale should consider if this initiative will help IOTA and therefore their investment.

186  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mike Pence believes that gays can be "cured" by electroshock "therapy" on: November 16, 2016, 01:25:51 PM
It's much more likely homophobia can be cured by this "therapy".

Possibly illogical religious urges too, but that's more of a long shot.

Will it cure white supremacy and homophobia too?
White supremacy is too ingrained within the psyche, only a lobotomy will work there.

* Had the FBI chosen to arrest Hillary Clinton, and arrest Donald Trump for sexual assault cases, arrest Jill Stein for having an investment portfolio in big oil companies despite speaking out against them, arrest Gary Johnson for being a boring shit, etc, Vermin Supreme would have won by an ELECTORAL and POPULAR VOTE landslide!!

There were over 180 other presidential candidates. He would probably lose anyway. And too bad. Ponies for everyone, free zombie energy and daily glitter bombing were good policies.

The best part was, they were free ponies!

Reporter: Won't you have to raise taxes for that?

Vermin Supreme: No they're free ponies
He's got a point Cheesy
189  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I love communautarism... on: November 16, 2016, 01:18:34 PM
Because when America was attacked, everyone, from each corner of this nation reach to help. So what is cultural inclusiveness? Destroying all tribes? Merging in one mediocre mesh?
This is an inevitability, given enough time, whether there is "cultural inclusiveness" or not.
190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vermin Supreme was cheated out of the Presidency! on: November 16, 2016, 09:03:43 AM
I support Vermin Supreme with all my heart. Where's my free pony?  Sad
191  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where are the threat level alert (HSAS)?!?! on: November 15, 2016, 02:57:59 PM
Everything must be stable!

It was a silly idea in the first place.

You are one crazy person!  Grin

The two are uncomparable.

ohhh yeah when was the year that hitler started to be bad? 33, 38, 29, 19, 14? you see... exactly the same...
What does this even mean?

One was a dictator, the other was democratically elected.
One systematically murdered whole groups of people, the other.... didn't.

197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: South Korea... how could the united stateans have a chance? on: November 13, 2016, 11:19:54 AM
sout korea this now is bad situation
this demonstration about president scandal

It's normal situation for South Korea, nothing special really.
They have such demonstrations very often, about many different issues.
Honesty ind integrity are very important for people there.
if they feel that some top leaders luck such qualities, they will demand that this person leave office.
Main issue here is not that Korean president break some law but that she is under influence of some cult leader and people don't trust her any more.
Let's see what happen next.
This sums it up nicely.

If she resigns, she would be the first president to not serve out her full term.

there is always a first time.

was the cellphone explosion a covert attack to weaken SK entreprises?

What was this "cellphone explosion"?

When drugs are illegal, people do not need to report that they are selling or using. In fact, they have even less inclination to do so for obvious reasons!

I think you misunderstand. When drugs are illegal, then the State (police, etc) are tasked to compile much resources into determining who is using and selling.

So you are suggesting that reporting is more accurate when it's illegal? That doesn't pass the smell test.

I wrote forced reporting, e.g. the police catching you. When it is legal, no one has any incentive to pry on what others are doing to report statistics, although corporations might compile sales figures if the industry becomes corporatized (well that data is surely already compiled by the drug syndicates but we don't have access to it).
The statistics gained from drug busts gives you no clue as to the level of use in the population.

Usage levels are best measured by voluntary polls, which happen routinely.
