I'm gaining on buying Matlock a new shirt!

Well, if you didn't have concerns about having your crypto at cryptsy before this... not sure what to think about a corporation that can't even run a semi-legit poll to influence their decision about what to do with a device that they clearly didn't think people would be concerned about.... especially AFTER all those coins pulled themselves off of swap-coin over integrity concerns about a coin producer owning an exchange...

You have to give GAW credit, they've managed to act like a scammer magnet, everyone involved has a background littered with failed businesses...

lmao

It's two lanterns if by toilet full of poop- right? Huh But if I am leading cavemen I guess that would be two torches? Damn, totally confused now.

Actually, if it's a toilet full of poop, maybe you only need a flint since you'd already have the methane? So, I guess that's a vote for burn the coins?

I wonder who the mystery owner of the PC's and the 1.7 million coins are.
I'm sure Homeland Security is working on that question right now :-)

Homero Josh Garza, financier to terrorists everywhere since 2014 thanks the Stuart Fraser, Cantor Fitzgerald and their big boy skillz!
188  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 27, 2015, 09:22:05 PM
Paycoin is now valued at US$ 0.13 / BTC 0.00059237. Still too high, but the trend looks promising.

The big boys are all just running it down to 2 satoshi so they can buy it all up and get the muggles out of the picture... then it will go to the moon! as the preferred trading currency of Stuart Fraser of Cantor Fitzgerald and elite terrorists everywhere since 2014.... ummm... yeah, yeah, that's the ticket! HODL! HODL! We'll be flying right past the moon and to mars!

FIAT, of course! Paycoin is hard to dump nowadays, makes perfect sense

Or in other words... what programmer with a half a brain would work for XPY?  You'll just get the muggles that Garza has been using for his serial crash tour of the intertubez.

Strikes me that to take on a Prime was an ill-conceived, ill-considered and ill-researched idea that, if nothing else, has placed Cryptsy firmly in the cross hairs of the Alphabets, if they weren't there already. With alleged money laundering by Ganza, Ganzas heavy use and promotion of Cryptsy, it will not end well there I suspect. There was talk last year that there were to be some major actions within the world of crypto imminent, and then things went quiet...

Cryptsy may have had to field issues with one or two of the Alphabets before, but I'll take an educated guess and say that once up to speed they will be in every slot, groove, cranny and nook Cryptsy have.

As with this entire farce, there are still many Acts yet to go..

Cryptsy aside, the SEC did go after a number of businesses and shut them down/fined them due to illegally selling shares (IPO's). I want to say somewhere in the 50-60 range of businesses. I'm trying to find the article now. Maybe this is what you are referring to.

In Sept 2014, they had 4 major investigations going on. One in Texas for fraudulent sales of investment vehicle that would give 7%/week, one in Florida for cash in excess of $10k for bitcoin as money laundering, Silk Road trying to say Bitcoin wasn't money, and.... I'm thinking the other one was in California maybe as a unregistered money transmitter? I can't find the article right now that went through all of them, just remember that at the same time as Garza was spinning up his scam, there were at least 3 cases that could relate directly to his activities.  Don't remember seeing 50-60 businesses getting busted on unregistered securities?

So mullick will 100% support a hard fork to remove all PCs? I challenge him to do that. In fact I will donate to a fund so the PayCon Devs can fork XPY to remove all Prime Controllers; if Cryptsy agrees to only run the new fork.

I don't know if it is legal or possible but I would all coins generated from PCs destroyed too.

Well, if you reject all coins born on/before say Dec 12th (not sure what the appropriate day is to ommit the remaining pre-mine) that might get rid of a chunk of them.
195  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 26, 2015, 09:50:06 PM
The first I heard of Cryptsy's ownership of a prime controller was on the google meetup.... and, at the time, I kind of wondered if that was a slip of the tongue...

Did Cryptsy actually publicly announce this acquisition before the google meetup? Can someone post a link to that?
196  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 26, 2015, 06:01:15 PM
Looks like Cryptsy will do the right thing with a little help from the community. If they do give back that Prime and delist that scam coin...all is forgiven I would assume.

And a public apology to everyone for listing it in the first place.

They have their FinCEN license to think about, after all.

But if Bittrex sees a significant increase in trading after all this, nobody should be surprised. Speaking of, we all need to make sure to ask Bittrex to delist Paycoin. They de list coins on the regular. They delisted Netcoin during a pump, even.

How many times have people wondered "who the hell is buying this stuff?".... well, guess we know both who is buying and why it's stuck at the .0007 range.

With plenty of float money and no fees, it would be nothing for cryptsy to both keep up the selling volume (perhaps from the start, given how garbonza was into falsely high prices on his own exchange)...they just sell and buy between their bots to keep the volume at least at a set level....

Then they also set up buy walls to prevent price from ever dropping below a set point, no matter how bad life gets... so between fake volume + fake ability for the price to stick around $0.20... it looks like there are more people interested in this than there really are... when in fact, it's just a set of cryptsy bots playing free ping-pong.

Should I point out that PYC and XPY is two different Coins?

was just thinking that the stupid is SO STRONG with Homereo that he kills not one, but two coins at the same time... takes some strong-ass stupid to manage that

One can only imagine what Satoshi Nakamoto would say if he read this forum and what Joshypoo the Genius at work has done with Crypto!

Hmmmm maybe Joshypoo should announce he really is Satoshi Nakamoto just to put this issue to rest?
Now that would be some serious funny!

I could see Garza posting... "was showing my Elon gifted Tesla to Satoshi the other day and..."
noob: YOU mean the Satoshi Nakamoto?
Garza: Yeah, he liked my patents so wanted to talk about investing
Garza: sine then we just hang out a lot
noob: <wide eyed> Wow!

-snip-

Primenodekey's are mentioned here https://github.com/PaycoinFoundation/paycoin/blob/master/src/wallet.cpp - but it seems you can't do anything with them

Can you explain this comment?  I looked at the file and it doesn't contain the private keys?  It only talks about recovery from them?  Why is it that you can't do anything with the private key of a crypto address?
200  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 25, 2015, 09:52:08 PM
Well this has backfired

The points I do want to make

1. We never wanted to profit off the prime node. And made it a point to make our addresses public so everyone could verify that

2. We wanted to give the people a vote. Currently its all ran by gaw and the paycoin foundation as well as other unknown parties. I think we can all agree its been a mess. We hoped this would at least give our users a say in what happens. As keeping our customers happy is the number one goal. Our vote essentially goes with the community

3. Any step paycoin takes that distances itself from gaw is a good step in my opinion. The keys were not going to be removed from the code so why not make it public and show people they now can verify those 3 controllers aren't dumping their coins. And now that we have a vote thats one vote in your favor towards removing them from the codebase all together as well as any other unknown controllers

Regardless. The overall feedback has been negative. We are open to any suggestions as to what to do with the controller. The only way cryptsy was going to benefit from this situation is if some good comes out of us having the controller in the communities eyes.

We wont be taking any more controllers that are offered to us

If you want to have your user base in control, then make a voting platform and allow votes as 1 coin = 1 vote, then allow your invested user base to vote on the future of the coin and you defer to the current vote no matter which way it goes.  Here are some initial things for your user base to vote on:

(a) All Paycoin Prime Controllers must be publicly registered, to include the owner's identification, the addresses used, and an automated reporting system that shows all coin movements to/from those addreses that anyone can see on a public website. The cost of producing and maintaining the website will be born equally by all Prime Controller owners.

(b) All US Non-Profits claiming association with the Paycoin ecosystem (in the sense of promiting or maintaining it), must be registered on the above address with the following information: Date and place of incorporation, names of all officers and board members, date of non-profit application submission, monthly public financial accounting for ALL USD, BTC, XPY, and any other currencies (crypto or otherwise) used.

(c) At this point, and through the next semi-annual Prime Controller leasing period, what should the ANNUAL staking rate be on Prime Controllers, Orion Wallets, BT Wallets, and Non-Staking Online Wallets held by entities such as exchanges?

(d) Do you think the Paycoin ecosystem should make an official, never-changing, burn address to be publicly utilized as evidence of 'burned coins' (this could be a readable address, such as "ThesePaycoinsWillBeBurnedForever"
