Not really.

It'll become the norm to have negative feedbacks then, and it'll sort of nullify the effect of it.

If you're honest, then just go on ahead and do your business honestly and there shouldn't be a problem.
That proposal doesn't make sense to me. Nowadays, you should be guilty until proven innocent.

If you're an innocent person, than prove it. I am willing to prove, so I have no reason to be upset about a negative 20 rating, so please give me a downvote. I am ready to prove that I'm a good person.

Prove it by going around, doing your business. If people don't trust you to do an exchange with you, then use an escrow. (Unless you're doing some reversible payment exchange for bitcoins.) If anything, you should just completely disregard the little numbers under your username.
Then why do we even have trust?

It is understandable that newcomers can't be trusted. You have all been worried, so why can't my proposal be taken into immediate consideration? I'm just trying to do what I believe in.

Because it does its job well of determining how the community thinks a user is trusted.

Let me put it this way: +0 is a NEUTRAL trust rating. It's like starting to count up/down from zero; you don't start counting from -20 and you don't start counting at +20. Zero is neutral, and so is +0.

I have been lurking this site for a while. It has come to my attention that it is covered in so many scam accusations. Too many newcomers are either scamming people, or being scammed. I have decided that this online transaction forum would do better if newcomers came with at least negative 20 in order to have motivation to be stable, and not scam anyone.

I am not a scammer, but I'd like to prove that by rising above my upcoming negative rating. I am a coder for a computer business, and two other websites dedicated to Bitcoin. From there, I will prove it by just rising above  the negative votes. When downvoting me, just say "because faggot" or whatever, or just don't say anything at all. Who thinks this could be a good idea to stop scammers?

When I've gotten my negative rating, I'll delete this entire thread, since it won't serve purpose. I thought this was a good proposal.

Not really.

It'll become the norm to have negative feedbacks then, and it'll sort of nullify the effect of it.

If you're honest, then just go on ahead and do your business honestly and there shouldn't be a problem.
186  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTT] [H] BTC [W] $45 PayPal on: November 18, 2015, 10:45:57 PM
Looking for a very quick BTC to PayPal. I have 0.13BTC up for exchange, so not a lot; I'm looking for $45 from PayPal, but it's negotiable.

Thanks; send me a PM or just drop a reply here.

You now have the award of the most obvious scam attempt of November 2015!

Just kidding. I've seen a lot more obvious ones; you'd better step your game up.

He's pretending that the sig code is in the signature so that he can get earnings without having the signature. I think it's pretty obvious that he knows exactly what he's doing; why else would be put the code a couple of lines below his application?

Maybe you should try exchanging the PayPal to bitcoins first?

Firstly, please merge your posts; seems to me like you're acting super desperate for this.

I edited my neutral to add more description and to make it a neutral since a negative is probably unfounded (you're welcome). However, I am almost certain that you are a scammer, because you act as if PayPal is not a reversible payment option if the funds aren't from a credit card/bank, AND because you lied to me by saying that I supposedly had a thread of wanting to convert bitcoins into PayPal.

I will not be surprised if you chargeback some day.

The last bitcoin to PayPal trade I've posted was a couple of months ago, I think.

Here's a specific part I want you guys to see, in case you skipped over the majority over the PM (wouldn't blame you!):

my PayPal funds 100% NON credit card or bank deposits but only and only from PayPal balance so never possible any charge backs whatsoever.

For those of you who know how PayPal works, it's possible to chargeback anything if it's related to bitcoin if you were buying bitcoin with PayPal.

Just a heads up to those who might have been sent this PM from this user as well; avoid him at all costs.
196  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 15, 2015, 08:30:04 PM
Just set a limit on the amount that can be given for dispensing trust. Say a trade for 1+ btc just to round it off.

No.

People have varying levels of trust; people would trust others for different amounts.
197  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.08 BTC loan on: November 15, 2015, 06:50:34 PM
Your account as a collateral is no worth to cover up your loan request. No one will lend you this huge amount of Bitcoin.

Since when did 0.08BTC become a "huge amount of bitcoin?"
198  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.02 Loan on: November 15, 2015, 02:08:12 PM
Hello friend, I am not selling this account, I can earn this much in 2 days from signature campaigns ( yobit ) .. but I have other ways and enough ways to pay 0.02

Please post if you can give this loan, siganture spammers stay away.
How are you getting this money from YoBit's signature campaign if you don't even have their signature, and that you're advertising Bitvest.io?

Probably via an alt.

200  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 0.03 BTC on: November 15, 2015, 03:15:42 AM
You guys need to stop trying to make deals with him on the loan amount. I think you're forgetting what a loan is; it's someone borrowing an amount that they'll use for a certain need, and then repay through other means.

Obviously his loan is specifically for 0.03BTC. By negotiating with him to lower the amount that he'll borrow, you're encouraging people to get a loan for more than they need. This isn't a sale, as I bet most of you want him to default so you can get the account; this is a loan, and there is no negotiating (except for collateral) for a loan.
