well, i just compiled sp_'s version and nicehash is agreeing with my hashrate now.  I just want to know how to get the increased shares!  Grin

Go mining vtc on give me coins pool... You'll earn more.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 17, 2015, 06:59:17 PM
@anyone who wants to poke around in the Ethereum CUDA miner source, i've implemented sp_'s mods and also cleaned it up a bit.
from what I checked, using uint2 was a bit slower (for once) than using uint64_t in keccak

No it isn't, but I think you have to seperate the loops into two and remove all the constant inputs, load from memory differenty, play with the pragma urolls, alter the launch bounds etc..

But keccak was just 13% of the total algorithm so the effort will probobly just gain a few percent.

I tried yesterday it was slower on my 980

I can confirm it beeing a little bit slower on 970 and 960.

It looks like mining ETH is currently the most profitable.
100 750Ti could get 1.15 BTC/day.

why are you all counting in 100 or 1000 of 750ti ?

Because it only needs 120000EUR to buy 1000 of them + a little powerplant and You are making big money Cheesy

Someone is very unhappy with my sharing about ETH mining.

#GreedyNoob #SelfishMiner

I just knew it would be pasted there Cheesy

As you can see I am a noobish user Wink

Anyway right now both vtc and eth are more than profitable for mining(atleast here with power cost 0.12EUR/kWH).
My numbers with 4x970+960+750ti:
51.5MH on vtc with ccminer (also accepted on give me coins pool)
85MH on eth with cudaminer (on eth pool), network hashrate reported 230GH-https://stats.ethdev.com/
The gpu power usage and the temps are much lower on eth ---> some big gains by code optimization seems possible

For comparision r9 280x is reported to have ~24MH on eth.

@scryptr, are you saying it's still better to solomine?

VTC MINING--

It is best to solomine if you have the hash power and the patience to await irregular payout times.  Mining VTC at a reliable pool will cost 1% or 2% for pool maintenance, but will payout on a regular basis.

Both mining efforts currently pay better than 0.50 BTC per Gh/s per day.  VTC mining at 100Mh/s will net about 300 VTC/day, and the have a value of .066 BTC at today's market rates.  That is better than a 0.05 BTC payout for the same hash rate on multipool.  Mining at a different hash rate is proportional, and I see this validated in my VTC earnings.

I mine at GMC, without problems that have been mentioned in this thread.       --scryptr
0.05 BTC @ 100MH? where?, i have 96MH and i make probably half that on verters, tried on nicehash but got only 1/2 of the hashrate so i left, i go back to mine quark now, because it still pays more, but if I can get 0.050 MH /day I will do it right now!

I tried solo mining for 5 hours when the difficulty was about 230, but not find anything and got tired, I guess 100MH is not enough at this difficult to solo mine.

I had also problems on verters, then switched to solo and then discovered give-me-coins.com(tnx to user phenomenha's tip) and it is just great Wink You get what You deserve and you can calculate the profit aswell with the calculator on the page. You would earn 0.063 BTC/day with 96Mh and the current diff 302.63 Wink

i have 120mh/s rigs in my office, should i try solomine? Smiley) i have been mining on givemecoins pool, it's not bad at all... Grin
i switch to them too. goood payouts.

Me too Wink

I will gladly try to mine it solo. Will have to wait for the blockchain to download though.
Does anybody have it by any chance?

I have downloaded it from https://bchain.info/VTC/
There is a link in the lower right section...

So I have been mining Vertcoin since around 8:00am this morning on verterspool.  I found (2) blocks and earned about 42 coins.  Would you recommend that I solo mine or stay with the big pools?  What are my chances of finding a block solo?  Do you think it is better to mine with the pool in general?  Just looking for advice.  Tks - pokeytex

This is exactly what happened to me. Found 2 blocks and earned much less than calculated. I have much lower hashrate than You and I have allready gone solo... No blocks till now Smiley

Weird - I solo mined a block today that paid me 6.50 SPR.  Is that including a fee or something?

Must be!  I suppose volume has been 5BTC+ per day for a few days so maybe some larger transaction fees are beginning to occur...

What does the block explorer say?

I have also found some blocks with higher SPR value. I didn't pay attention since now. The biggest block is 6.10xxx SPR and seems correlated to some transactions in the block explorer.
I have a little noobish question about that Smiley Is this an ordinary mining profit or is it because I'm runnig a service node?

Can you give the block number(s)?

Pretty good explorer to check against http://miningcores.com/explorer?id=385

edit

Was it this one? http://miningcores.com/explorer?id=385&height=519679

The wallet built-in explorer looks very nice btw:

RESTORING DRIVER--

I use PrecisionX 16 to restore the driver without rebooting the system.  These are my steps for a card on Windows that has low hash (crashed driver):

     1) Start or re-open PrecisionX 16.
     2) Turn off K-Boost with the toggle switch (upper right-and corner).
     3) Turn on K-Boost with the same toggle switch.
     4) Re-select the boost profile that you prefer (important!).
     5) Verify that the fan profile and boost settings are again in place, and that temperature is appropriate.
     6) Close or minimize PrecisionX 16.
     7) Restart miner, it should again have appropriate hash readings for boost/overclock settings.

You may also have to open nVidia control panel and reset the display resolution if your graphics now "look odd".  It isn't every time, but frequently I have to reset display resolution for normal graphics.   This is for my work computer, Win 7 X64, with a GTX 960 that I mine with when not playing games.  The GTX 960 will get 10.6Mh/s on Quark, but if it crashes with a segmentation fault, it will only get 3Mh/s on miner restart.  I then perform the steps above and restart the miner.

There is a memory leak somewhere, but I was suspecting poorly programmed flash-media websites, like my local news site.  I need to reboot about once a day because of increasing memory bloat.       --scryptr

I'm using an ancient ccminer so I'm not sure about the issue but it does sound like a simple soft crash to me when the card reverts back to lower P state with 405 Mhz. That is how my cards crash if I have too high OC on them or set too high intensity or accidentaly mine on the same card with 2 instances. Memory leak would imply a leak of some sort causing excess memory usage and/or slow performance degradation over time.

I hadn't checked the p state when my card degrades but I think you're right about that. I don't know anything about
a "soft crash". When I set too high intensity ccminer errors out with an out of memory error. When I start two instances
on the same card they each hash at lower rates but the card doesn't crash and never gets stuck in a degraded state. I have also seen
driver crashes due to too high OC where I lose the display for a few seconds. If the degradation is the result of some sort of soft crash
or exception why leave the gpu degraded? Why not reset automatically like it does for a hard crash? (rhetorical questions,
I don't expect an answer)
and how do you do that exactly ?

I have a different solution if the driver crashes and sets the gpu to some lower state. I just go into the device manager and disable the problematic gpu and re-enable it.
It restores the default gpu state. Then You just have to click the profile in the MSI afterburner and You have it back.

Anyone with a nice 980ti using ccminer? I mean a non reference one, possibly an Asus strix or Gigabyte G1...
I would like to know about the quark hashrate if possible.

It worked without any problems, also from my remote pc throught a ssh tunnel.
I use -d parameter to specify each gpu separately...

The liquid cooling is indeed very awesome. they never exceed +45Degrees and that is when i'm really pushing them Smiley
Wow! What are your ambient temperatures? I know a lot of people who do multiple rigs have a room that gets pretty warm but this can't be the case with this rig right?

Nope. You are not right. The graphic card will dissipate the same amount of heat. Liquid or air cooling doesn't matter in such context. If the graphic card produces let's say 250W of heat it will dissipate 250W in your room anyway.

Because I like it.
