181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the general rules of ETH token airdrops? on: March 31, 2019, 08:34:03 PM
I have a few ETH addresses and in the last years I've been getting some random tokens out of nowhere, which occasionally amount to $3-5 each. I'm thinking, is it possible to farm such airdrops by creating lots of ETH addresses? So, my question is, what are the conditions for those airdrops? Do I need to have a certain amount of ETH on my addresses, or just have a transaction history with some volume, and do tokens play any role?

This phenomenon mostly occurs in projects that send dividends In form of airdroppers tokens to its ICO investors. In some other cases, project developers may choose to reward all active ethereum address on the blockchain by taking a snapshot before sending the coins
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm buying alts now on: March 31, 2019, 08:28:35 PM
Jus bought in alt coins. Mostly dapp coins. I have a bunch of them. And a little less in Bitcoin. At this point I can handle the losses of alts. Hopefully it doesnt go 160% losses.
Here's a few to list
Neo. Ada. Xlm. Bch. Eth. Skycoin. Strat. Lisk waves, nuls, gxchain, Komodo , etc, qtum, Tron , Eos . Ox, ontology, pivx , zilliqa, and metaverse etp.
Year 2019 will be another bear market? Hopefully not.

update
changing my alt coins. to eos, xlm, trx, eth, bch, bsv, waves, metaverse etp, skycoin, bnb, zil

Good for you. As long as you are buying the coins within your financial strength and have done your own research. 2018 was generally regarded as a year of shitcoins but I believe 2019 will be a good year for top 100 coins. I hope to get some bag of xlm before April ends
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real exchange volume vs cmc data on: March 30, 2019, 11:55:46 PM

I read a publication that most of these exchanges inflate their trade volumes which reflects on coinmarketcap. They use the trick to attract investors for listing. You can read the full article here;

184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REALLY WORKING CRYPTOPROJECTS (not from top 50) on: March 30, 2019, 10:22:44 PM
The few I can recall at the moment are obviously outside top 50. But they have an offline use case  on iot, ict, computer software, financial data and security services. You may want to look at these projects, hydro and multicoin. They may not worth so much in the crypto-market but I see a big future ahead for these too
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WanChain is cheap now and looks very promising, anyone buying ? on: March 30, 2019, 10:17:20 PM
As the price went under $0.40 i was thinking of getting some (about 2 ETH)

Anyone else interested in this coin? Looking at their info, it looks quite decent.

.

I had the intentions to buy atleast 500 usd worth till an arbitrage called on maximine coin. I swooped in and got stuck. U managed to get out with my capital. All thanks to coinbene maintenance (rumored hack). I will take a second look at wanchain and find a suitable entry position
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting ETH on: March 30, 2019, 10:00:44 PM
Price has remain stable since then as it currently trades on 141usd/eth. Ethereum withnessed over 90 percent dump from its all time high in 2017 and just like bitcoin it has shown its strength as its continues to rally strong
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting ETH on: March 24, 2019, 02:31:52 AM
I find it interesting that ETH price started going up weeks prior to hard fork after the hard fork it looks to be consolidating and now moving back up again. what could be the factors to this price movement? I like it though, very good for quick trades.

Anybody notice a change in performance or speed of ETH? I have not move any of my ETH so far, I really can't tell yet.

Ethereum is dubbed the busiest blockchain in cryptocurency. It deserves far more credits than it gets because it is the father of smart contracts for dapp creation. The price dumps in 2018 was as a result of ethereum being a victim of its success. 90 percent of ERC20 projects dump their coins for fiat after ICO which made ethereum suffer
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is $25 XLM worth your privacy (identify). on: March 24, 2019, 02:27:49 AM
Performing a KYC fir reputable companies like blockchain or stellar should not be an issue. The internet is not a darkweb and am afraid, even your personal details can be taken from social media without your consent. Stellar introduced the kyc because of unscrupulous individuals that will run the airdrop with over 200 accounts just to satisfy their greed. I support the kyc
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages and disadvantages of IEOs on: March 24, 2019, 02:22:57 AM
The only advantage that I see from IEO is the "listing" because of some the ICO`s cant be listed on trusted exchanges, while for AML I still don't have trust in this. IEO maybe better at some point but still, after all those promises no one can ensure an investor event if its AML compliant in the future its project to grow.

I think IEOs offer far more than listing. The most essential offer of IEOs is trust and confidence for investors. Investors need to invest in a project that has verified team members and won't shutdown after collecting funds. Investors also need to be assure that listing wont be a problem after crowdsale too
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you comfort yourself after receiving token from the bounty program? on: March 22, 2019, 09:19:40 PM
In this difficult market, the value of tokens is reduced very low.
So, how do you console yourself?

I first:
I calculated the number of tokens I received, then multiplied by the ICO price, followed by multiplying it by the current ETH price.
As a result, I received the corresponding ETH.
I took the ETH multiplied peak rates ($1500- 2017) And I told myself if ETH peaks (2017), I will get a lot of $. Haha!

For example:
I received 1000 ABC token.
ABC token ico price: 0.2$
Total received: 1000 * 0.2$ = 200$
Current ETH price: 150$
So I will receive: 200/150 = 1.33E
If ETH = $1500 is like 2017, I will have 2000$. Smiley)

It all bothers on experience and what you want. Some people have grown past jumping into every bounty programme without due diligence. I have a friend that is mostly interested in Korean bounties because he believes the Korean Market have more learned individuals with cryptocurrency knowledge and thus don't dump coins indiscriminately and so far, he is right.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With Low Trading Volume? on: March 22, 2019, 09:12:24 PM
Is it very bad if a coin has a low daily trading volume?  The known coins have at least 6 figures or more traded daily at the very minimum.  And of course btc and the top 10 coins are traded in the millions and even billions daily.

If a coin has low trading volume, is that very bad?

A low trading volume is a product of poor marketing outreach by the team and zero minimum product which attracts investors. These factors are never overemphasized in its contribution to building a strong  cryptocurrency project and market.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Damages dumping creates on: March 22, 2019, 09:07:10 PM
I think there is a way to fix this dumping problem plaguing crypto space ,its very annoying to see dumpers dumping coins or tokens at a very lower price than that of the ICO price ,dumping kills coins easily ,I think developers should have some kind of deals with exchanges that won't allow people to dump coins at a particular price ,what are your thought?

Project developers should develop a proof plan against dumping from presale, private sale investors and bounty hunters who usually dump their tokens on listing. Aergo and content protocol had such plan and they are currently doing massively well in the market
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to invest on: March 22, 2019, 09:02:04 PM
I want to put some money into BTC, just in case, I also wouldn't mind learning to profit off trading them weekly or on a daily basis, I see potential. It looks alot more easier than forex and quicker than stocks.

Where do I start?

P.S - How is BTC expected to be the future if it so volatile, you will always have to worry about how much your paying ETC.

The first way to getting bitcoin is through a fiat - Crypto supported exchange like paxful, luno or Coinbase. At the moment, I don't advice buying btc to lie dormant because it is not a stable coin and you may loose money. Learn a bit about trading and you will be fine
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are lazy on: March 17, 2019, 07:44:49 PM
I just wonder sometimes why hackers would not want to use their time and effort they spend to scam others on doing something meaningful and legit, to earn something worthwhile for themselves, except to rip others of their hard earned money.
Most times, what they even take illegally from others at the end is not used for anything meaningful.
Scammers should desist from this act, because karma is real.
Work and don't be lazy.

Scammers are Very lazy and they are part of the reason why the crypto market nosedived in 2018. I propose stricter measures such as long jail terms to be metted on people fraudulently conducting ICOs in cryptocurrency. SEC should do more than just regulating crypto with kids gloves.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Future of Ethereum? on: March 17, 2019, 07:39:49 PM
The future is bright I must say. The recent constantinople fork which is a technical advancement on the scalability of ethereum is an indication that the ethereum foundation is doing its best to keep ethereum competitive in the world of blockchain technology
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will survive on: March 14, 2019, 09:39:17 PM
Cryptocurrency  is like a water in a bowl, the water moves but the bowl determines the flow

We crypto users are the Bowl. The reality of life is do you do the right things with the water (altcoins, bitcoins, Etherum Huh )

This simply means only crypto users causes the bearish moment and the bull run
Make the right decisions

What an analogy! I agree with your post. Cryptocurency and blockchain technology is a fascinating one but we users of cryptocurrency will determine what will become of it in many years to come.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with these Binance ICOs? on: March 14, 2019, 09:13:57 PM
After Bittorent, another project (Fetch) had another sold out ICO. After many claims that "ICOs are dead", why is it that we still have these ICOs being sold out in a matter of seconds?

Is it because it's held on Binance?

ICOs only seemed dead because of the fact that investors lost faith and confidence in the process. This has caused a rebranding of the ICO into IEO and this has rekindled investment fire into investors. I am glad that so far, the IEO process is still on track and investors are happy
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC as a Scam on: March 14, 2019, 09:06:41 PM
There are a lot of projects that need an KYC of course it is a good idea also to protect their project so that they will know who's dealing with them. But there are some projects that starting from beginning they don't have an KYC required but when it come to the time that they need to distribute the stakes of bounty hunters they are asking for KYC,if the bounty hunter can not comply this where is their stake goes?if the project require an KYC they must announce it from the beginning not in distribution time.

I totally agree with your submissions. Every information about a project bounty should be communicated on time to allow users make an informed decision. I was once in such situation, I had an expired ID and couldn't apply for the kyc. Thankfully, the bounty manager understood my condition and awarded stakes
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoins to invest in 2019? on: March 14, 2019, 08:56:57 PM
I would like to know what are your most promising altcoins for investing in 2019? I immediately want to say - Bitcoin and ethereum are not very interesting, because they are heavy for growth. That is, I want to say that if Bitcoin grows 5 times, then some altcoins can grow in price by 30-50 times (as it was in 2017), so altcoins are more interesting.

I did an analysis of the market for myself and selected some coins for myself (ont, icx), but I want to know the opinion of the crypto community - which coins do you think are the best for investing? Write the name of the altcoins and why do you find them perspective?

Take a look at what CZ is doing with bnb. It has done close to x2 in the last 2 months with a potential for x6 from the current price due to its developmental projects in plan. I am currently looking for a better entry point into bnb. A must buy for me
