181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Football Cup 2019 Discussion Thread on: January 05, 2019, 03:38:04 PM
UAE had won the earlier match so this could be a good opportunity for Baharain to avenge that loss.
Nah, Bahrain will try its best to get a draw since UAE has a good chance to be the first in its group.
Besides, politics may interfere here so...

Also Bahrain Achilles heel is their sloppy defence, which I feel shall be exploited by UAE hence even I feel UAE shall win this game.
This what will happens i assume. We will see anyway  Wink

183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The VAR - Video Assistant Referee Discussion Thread on: January 03, 2019, 05:52:20 PM
Don't have a picture to post but I just want to add a comment from the last World Cup. Overall the use of VAR was a good step (the other better step would be to stop the watch each time the game gets interrupted).
So scoring a goal with your hand, cheating to get a penalty kick and other ridiculous and game killing stuff will be reduced from now on. However stopping the game to watch the screen by the first referee is just ridiculous...another one should monitor the screen (all the time preferably) and tell the main referee about any issue...
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler was being robbed on: December 31, 2018, 10:07:30 AM
Do you ever think its a real accident or its just an inside job where the employees of casinos are involve or the casino itself?

The workers there will not interfere directly with this shady activity, they may call their gang members to rob some winners from time to time to avoid suspicions. Or simply it may be as simple as some random thieves searching for a winner to rob him. It isn't difficult to find a winner, it is the guy quitting that place without broking anything or without being angry  Wink
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem: Lost today $2000 on PrimeDice on: December 27, 2018, 07:40:57 PM
First sorry for your loss

start with small best $50 $60 etc
Indeed this isn't a small bet Wink

I wanted to make big profit and get back all the lost and never play again.
This is the mistake made by every gambler so far sadly...

what a shitty die i want to die :/
Barely everyone experienced the same feeling so don't worry and try to recover your loss with less risky ways.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: December 25, 2018, 10:45:16 PM
At first I thought his fight with UFCs Khabib Nurmagomedov
Thought the same thing when i read the title and was asking why Japan

I wonder how much money was offered to Floyd Mayweather by the promoter of this fight to square off with the kid.
It is all about the money for the guy and for everyone. Imagine how many will assist and watch the game in addition to the ones betting  Wink
187  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-25] Bitmain: Bitcoin Mining Giant to Sack 50% of Its Workforce on: December 25, 2018, 10:33:12 PM
I doubt Bitmain will keep going with such few number so this news should not be considered very accurate for the moment.
Bitmain is a big company and it can hold even with a lower bitcoin price...
188  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good idea to buy some bitcoin now? on: December 24, 2018, 07:07:02 PM
i think yes. because reversal can happen anytime. at least you can be purchased on a part of the deposit

The problem is that people never learn that once bitcoin drops just buy, you will likely never lose in the long term. Buying bitcoin at $3k was an opportunity to win fast ~$1k per 1 BTC (without counting who already bought less than $3k in the previous years).
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: December 24, 2018, 07:01:19 PM
On the other hand, if they win, they will return the other day to gamble again. Lucky to them if they win again but most of the time, they are not.

Well, if you look carefully you will find people spending their money in a way or another. Gambling, clubs (sometimes subscribing in gym without going more than once), shopping stupid stuff... and they will keep doing it. The particularity of gambling is that if you abuse it, you will be broke for sure. You should know when to join and when to stop.

I wanted to ask something long time ago but I always forget to. Why are newbie copper members allowed to send PM if "Allow newbies to send you PMs." box is unchecked?

Having newbies blocked means I don't want to read their spam/threats/try to bribe/insert random reason messages.

Special perk = special ability.
Copper Members are paid members somehow with stealth perk enabled Wink

195  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: December 19, 2018, 02:57:14 PM
May i specify pls, what "bump" means exactly?
I can just post a msg in my topic like "bump" or i should start a new topic and delete the old one?

Example :
You created a topic called : "my service"
In the first post you explained what's your service but you noticed that it doesn't take the proper attention so after 24 hours from posting it, you can create another post in your topic containing the word "bump" so your topic become the first one in the list again. Your topic doesn't took the appropriate attention again so you can after 24 hours create another "bump" post but you have to remove the old bump post.
196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think countries should leave the EU? on: December 16, 2018, 08:41:31 PM
EU failed to be like the United States. The European are selfish and cannot agree too long for anything. Germany and France are the major actors and the rest are just followers... Immigration causes a major problem, Italy and Spain mainly as the first arrival zone. The other countries just try to close the doors and keep away this problem. Every country that has a stable and positive growth will start thinking about escaping and keeping its money inside its country rather than paying Brussels.
197  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: December 13, 2018, 10:39:23 AM
Hi!

I have a question about referral links.

I want to create a useful thread about OTC-trading in "Currency exchange" board.

At the moment I am cooperating with the https://hodlhodl.com/ (after I create a thread the official account of the exchange will be able to confirm our cooperation).

The question is -- can I leave my referral link in the thread?

Thanks.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=20333.0

Don't leave your referral link in the text since you will get reported (and suspended most likely).
In the signature space, it is +/- more tolerated but cannot say 100% permitted. It depends from the moderator afaik and how he see it. I remember badbear (previous admin) don't allow it at all.
198  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: December 13, 2018, 10:30:53 AM
in addition to the new rule . i guess the reason why we may have  low number of posts is the current market situation ..  and that is because even telegram groups that used to be so active are now dying slowly :/

It is related to reduced bot activity mainly. For the telegram thing, it is related to altcoins price drop and the fear of investing in that community.

Boyz, discuss the payment of yolodice somewhere else. Mitchell already mentioned that this topic is for updating the table only...
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Re: The release of Satoshi's personal data on: December 12, 2018, 09:10:15 AM
theymos, did you ever talk voice chat with Satoshi?  For hours and hours from 2008 till 2014?  Often on BTC, peer-to-peer and Bit-gold-- as well as on economics and world politics?  Did he ever do programming tech work for you for over $3,000? Have you been in his old, white frame farmhouse home in Shenandoah, Iowa?  You can see it on the front of his Facebook page.  That is it in the distance, down the road.  Have you ever seen him quaff a sweet drink from a Mason jar while he observes that the U.S. government would like to send a missile into his humble country house? Has he ever voice interviewed you and put it online? Did you ever wonder why Satoshi keyed this vbulletin to look exactly like SF?
Mueller has spoken.

Who says satoshi even has any bitcoins. I like to think he doesn't have any
No one said, just his bitcoin wallet speaks loudly, but he may also haven't a penny if he lost the access to it because there is no Internet in the heaven, well generally.
