181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 15, 2023, 07:22:24 PM
SMB vs Ginebra now live.

I thought SMB is gonna bring a new import in this game but I see it was still  Aska who's playing, probably after this game. SMB is having a lead now by 7 points, I think it's time for us to live bet now as on pregame odds, Ginebra was the favorite.

As for my bet here, I didn't bet on the spread, instead I look on the total and I have under 192.50. GL!

I thought it's an easy win for San Miguel Beermen after the half as they are in the big lead in almost the entire game. The highest lead they got is 24 points. But to my surprised when I check the scoreboard, Ginebra makes a rally and cut down the lead by 4 in the 4th quarter.

I'm now in the idea that if Ginebra is down by at least 20+ points, it's good to consider taking a shot at them in the Moneyline in live betting.

Although they didn't win that game, I'm sure the live betting odds is worth to take a risk especially against a top team. Although looking at the remaining game schedule for Ginebra, it's only against the Meralco where I can consider one of the toughest which currently in a 5-1 W/L record.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: December 15, 2023, 06:48:56 PM
Why would you trust anyone to gamble better than you can when it's all about luck?

Is anyone doing this on here?

It can happened on sports competition especially local competition. Like here in our place, there are lots of good billiard players here but lack of funds to compete. There are guys called "manager" and the one doing the whole finance on that player. The agreement will now be between them and won't be disclosed to anyone.

There are also cases in gambling where players combined their money for a larger bankroll.

In that case to your story, you should also look at the other side of the story. What if both parties agreed?

I'm sure that person who take that service is not that dumb to just allow its money to be put on risk. Right?
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 15, 2023, 06:28:01 PM
This is no joke. Many people do this because they do not want to see any money in their account, something will just be pushing them to gamble, and they will not stop until they waste this money as the case may be. You might call this addiction, but I call it foolishness and a foolish person can be very surprising and will never build but destroy due to his foolishness. This is why it's the worst I see in gambling and detest those who indulge themselves in it.

I will assume that before foolishness take effect on that said gambler, these guys successfully nailed some big winnings out from taking a loan. The experience they have got on doing that makes them feel always excited and thrilled that's why as much as possible they will do gambling whatever it takes.

I have a conclusion like that since, if these people don't experience winnings out from taking a loan, they won't repeat that since after all, the excitement is not there. So I think, as I mentioned, these guys won a decent and very good amount and want to take taste that winning experience again.

Unfortunately, that's not what happened later on and they are now chasing that experience again without realizing they are now in a heavy debt.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need for mental section or public orientation for new gamblers. on: December 15, 2023, 12:57:18 PM
so I'm thinking if it would be possible for a thread or sub board to be created in the form of a mental  orientation section that people can just visit and go through ethics of responsible gambling, share experiences and current challenges faced as a gambler. It could just be used for discussions regarding responsible gambling and do if ones goes through the board or thread, while starting or going about his gambling, their will be check in his jar it as a result of peoples lives experiences he has read.

I understand what you are trying to achieve but personally in my opinion, and believe me, something like that will not work. Even with enough guidance and advise, the future of these new gamblers will depend on their respective own approach. Only them can help themselves to become a responsible gamblers while progressing on their gambling activity.

An addicted gambler won't bother to read threads like that as they already under on the trap of gambling.

I admire your initiative but maybe just try to always help those you think in need around you or in your local community.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 13, 2023, 11:31:28 PM
I’m actually surprised that the majority won’t be spending more money in casino because it is common that people start looking and deriving means to get Christmas money. Just like most people gamble because they have a financial problem they want to settle, some would do it more because they have a place they would have love to spend some time this Christmas and need to make the money from somewhere (and they always want the money fast too, haha).

It's because the Christmas bonus has nothing to do with everyone's gambling habit.

I'm sure for most gamblers here, regardless if they have a Christmas or Holiday bonus, their gambling activity won't be changed and maybe they will even add more budget to their gambling session. The best part is, no pressure at all, and the gambling activity will just be relaxed because of the improved bankroll.

But with that improved bankroll, as always, everyone should take care of it properly and don't make an attempt to always do a risky bet.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 11:23:54 PM
Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?

Don't bet if you feel stressed. Sports betting is not for those types of bettors.

It's just common to experience to feel disappointed when we lose. But to feel pressured and stressed, stay away from sports betting.

Gambling should be fun, maybe right, but if you do gambling for fun, you shouldn't be disappointed when you lose. Simple as that.
187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 13, 2023, 11:11:22 PM
What can you say about this? Are you willing to risk your $18 to win $18k, or a million in PHP pesos?

Yes, I'm willing to risk that kind of amount with those juicy odds, however, it's something that I won't try often.

Pure luck is needed on that kind of attempt. There's no skill involved there. Even how good a bettor is, hitting those odds has low chances.

Congratulations on that bettor but shouldn't be a good practice to always try that kind of risk.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 12, 2023, 11:27:12 PM
Are you spending more or less on casinos this holiday season?

My gambling finances will still be usual regardless of the season. Simply, I will just gamble whenever I feel it.

Whatever the budget, whatever I have as my extra money and anything, it's always my practice to just gamble if I want to gamble at that time. Maybe it's not the budget for gambling that will be affected this Holiday season but rather my time. Since this month is full of busy activities, I might spend less time gambling now and actually, it's happening currently.

Good chance to take a break from gambling but I will still try to do that in my free time as I do really love to play gambling. Smiley
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 12, 2023, 11:17:07 PM
Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger. Particularly while giving food to kid patience is must. On winning days I let him take his own time and eat. On the losing days I used to shout at him. I'm addicted, and I want fellow gamblers to make a self analysis at regular interval and be on the safer side.

Human nature. It's usual and common to happen.

What happened there is, that our emotion is being affected by what happened around us. Not just in gambling, but that change of mood can be triggered by any given situation. In that case in a change of behaviour because of gambling, we should try to be responsible in our actions especially coming from a losing session.

In my case, I'd rather just be silent and quiet after losing and try to be as cool as possible, especially after a big loss. I don't want people around me to get involved in my bad mood not unless they are talking crap that bothers me even though at the moment I'm in my usual mood lol.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 12, 2023, 11:07:23 PM
In a situation where the both spouse are gamblers. Husband gambles, wife gambles, how can both of them manage the situation in terms of finance and the family affairs especially when children are now involve so that the time both spends on gambling doesn't affect family moments and affairs in general.

Would it help if  one of the couple quit for the other and if that's the case who should quit for who.

Case-to-case basis. The answer depends on how responsible they are even while being both gamblers.

Case A: If they are gambling for long but outside gambling, they do their responsibilities properly, I don't see any reason why should they quit.

Case B: Let's say they are worse to the point that now reaching a financial crisis because of gambling, someone or somebody should step into these families and help them. The reason why they should be helped by others is, these gamblers won't stop doing gambling as they are now fall on the gambling trap.

192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Letting the cat out of the bag on: November 19, 2023, 11:59:14 PM
If you are facing gambling addictions and you are keeping it all to yourself, you are worsening your problem, find someone who is close to you and open up to them, letting it all out will bring you some relieve and hopefully you will get better, don't wait till you hit the rock bottom before you say it all out.

If the level of gambling addiction is already at its peak and now in the stage where it's uncontrollable, how can these people be able to help their own?

These people with that high level of addiction will really keep that problem to themselves and won't talk about it to anyone, even with their family and close friends. It's hard and tough. In that particular situation, someone has to step up to help that gambler even by force if necessary.

On the other hand, if the level of addiction is still tolerable, there's always a chance for these people to help themselves on their own without the help of others. It now depends on how strong they are to battle their temptation to do gambling. It's tough work too but if successfully done, what a relief.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: November 19, 2023, 11:55:45 PM
I don't lose often but I can explain their motivation. They lost so much that they feel like this can't go on forever, just like if you get fired from a job, you look for another one, get fired, but that doesn't stop you. You want to keep going because there's a chance that next one is going to be great.

And that next one might be a big win. That mindset is always on the gambler's mind that's why they continue to play even amid losing.

What if they won big the next time they played? What if they won that big multiplier that they never imagined experiencing? Those are some of the situations they are expecting and hoping to achieve that's why even after losing lots of money now in the process, gamblers will just continue.

It's the trap of gambling. It's fine to continue playing as long as we remain responsible for our actions outside the gambling world.
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange to start trading? on: November 19, 2023, 11:51:58 PM
Up until now I have been just buying and patiently waiting for the bull run but in the last week I have seen 2 altcoins I was interested in pump up 40% in less than 24 hours so want to try make some money and give trading a go.

What is the best site for this in the UK?

I am only going to start with $200 roughly to see what I can turn it into over the next few weeks and months as the market is starting to get very volatile so could be good opportunity to make some extra money which would then mean I can invest more into my long term plays.

You have to mention that 2 altcoins you are referring to somehow give you a much more appropriate answer. There are lots of good exchanges around to start trading however since you pinpoint those 2 altcoins, we can't answer you in general as some altcoins are listed in specific exchanges.

Anyway, I hope you understand what you are dealing with. Always be cautious with an altcoin that pumps crazy in less than 24 hours.

Taking that ride is a clear sign of being under a FOMO.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best thing that have ever come to you thanks to BTC on: November 19, 2023, 11:47:18 PM
Hi BT what is the best thing that have ever happen to you because of BTC that never would have happen if BTC never was invented? I was quite late in the crypto world and my only regret is that I didn't start earlier and the best thing is that thanks to bitcoin I get an small income every month from trading and I have also find new friends that I probably never would meet if it wasn't for BTC. And I have for the first time in my life be able to save some money for a later period in my life everything is crypto. So conclusion everything is better thanks to crypto, at least for me.  Cheesy
Thank you Satoshi! 🙏

Seriously, I was just able to hold around a million worth of value in my local currency because of my involvement in crypto.

I wouldn't experienced having that kind of money if I only relied on my monthly salary in my day job before even working for several years up to decades. Because of crypto, I never imagined some of the good things that happened in my life that I didn't even expect to happen. Able to build our own house, own a car, 2 motorcycles, a decent brand bicycle, an upgraded PC, and many more. I didn't expect those things to happen in reality as I'm just an average earner.

Although lack BTC funds right now and have a short now to financial budget unlike before, what matters is, that I am able to take advantage of my crypto profits.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 19, 2023, 11:40:09 PM
The game ended 2-1 in favour of Real Madrid. A swift win and correct odds, just witness 2x leverage of an initial capital deposited. Yeah, the game enter and the winner went home with straight 2.7 million in any currency he staked. Betting against Barcelona at Camp Nou was kind of a risk which many gamblers was not willing to stake because they were frighten but they forget to understand that the system is filled risks and risking everything you have for a game you're confident about means you're solely in for whatever outcome that comes our.

It's not that bettors are frightened to bet against Barcelona but they tend to side with what would be the closest thing that can happen.

Your own analysis and view later about what happened on that bet slip was created because you already know the result.

What if the other way around happened?

That kind of risk is something you can't expect to always happen even how confident we are taking that risk. Still, I will side and rely on the most probable to happen with the help of my own strategy instead of always taking huge odds just because I'm confident to take the risks.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 19, 2023, 11:29:03 PM
It's easy to say but it's hard to do. You won't understand what's the actual feeling in that situation if you are just a casual gambler.

Hard to resist stopping when your bankroll just doubled playing. There's always in our mind pushing us to continue playing since we are lucky that time. Why should we stop in the first place is always dominating our minds. If the gambler was really able to control themselves to stop on that session once their bankroll got double, then good for them.

For me, it's fine not to stop right away after getting a big profit in a session as long as we just have to make sure that later on, we will cash out some of our wins.

Good for you OP that you learned something good in your gambling experience.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 19, 2023, 11:24:54 PM
Don't make your quitting too much complicated. If you want to quit gambling then quit for good.

Investing in gambling by giving a loan to gamblers is not a good idea. Even if you have a written contract, how can they pay you when they get wrecked playing? Instead, use your money to establish a good business that fits your interest. It's fun to do business on something you really like.

Only invest in gambling if it's about building a gambling site but of course, you should be knowledgeable in that field first.
199  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 19, 2023, 11:21:41 PM
Paano ba mapapataas ang GCredit o GScore, dapat ba maraming laman lagi yung Gcash mo o maraming nakalink na bank account sa Gcash account mo?
Magkano fee nung kinonvert mo yung GCredit mo to Cash gamit ang coins.ph?

Actually di ko sineseryoso yang GScore at di ko na lang namalayan na tumaas na pala. Nasa 600 iyong Gscore ko nung naactivate si Gcredit. Iyong Gloan dati na-offerran ako ng Php 20,000 last 2019, ang GScore ko that time is 700.

200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 19, 2023, 11:14:45 PM
First, as long as the casino itself tells you to gamble responsibly, and you also are legally allowed to do without anyone forcing you to do. So, you shouldn’t get influenced by those streamers no matter what. They are only doing their job and creating content about gambling or trying a casino they didn’t invite you or force you to gamble.

And since these streamers also paid for a number of views, they will just continue to create gambling-related content specifically targeting those gambling community audiences regardless if they are affiliated or not by these gambling sites. In most cases, some gambling streamers are not really partnered with a gambling site. They just want to lure viewers to their channels and show their experience regarding that gambling site.

Second, which is going to be the opinion of most users and people here. Streamers that get paid and shows their winnings are paid by the casino and beside that they have more probabilities and rates of winning than other regular players at the casino. That’s why we always see those streamers win most of the time just to seduce people into gambling.

I don't believe that those winnings are paid by the casino intentionally and these guys are using a specific program provided by the gambling site to increase the probability of winning. Since they are partnered with the casino, they will be given a huge bankroll to play with. In gambling, the longer your bankroll lasts, the more chances to win big and that's the reason why paid streamers always win big in their stream.
