181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Using A Journal Spreadsheets Will Pave The Way For Addiction To Gambling on: May 10, 2024, 12:18:11 AM
Does anyone here have their own journal or spreadsheets, and are you taking gambling seriously?
I used to have a spreadsheet to track my bets but I eventually stopped because it already served its purpose and helped me take gambling less seriously. It still helps a lot if you're planning to take sports betting seriously, if you don't want to spend much effort you can find some tracking templates shared by other bettors.

If it's for luck-based games, it won't offer that much help because you're set up to lose even if you change your strategy or avoid specific games.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 09, 2024, 10:57:57 PM
Another win, home teams really are racking in the playoffs so it's hard to go against the trend. I thought the Pacers would beat the home team when Brunson went to the locker room after a possible injury, but man he's really tough, he came back and lead the team even losing OG in that game due to an injury (which will possibly made him unavailable in game 3).
Yeah, that game was a rollercoaster, I thought the Pacers would continue to pull away once the third quarter started, but Brunson and the Knicks quickly brought it back in the third quarter.

I'll keep rolling the same bets for the Celtics game and better go with the same strategy when it's working since the previous series. I can't find the first-half team total market, so the first-half handicap should be fine. I doubt any adjustment is enough for the Cavs to make this more competitive.

Edit: My bet lost as the Celtics finally got that off day while the Cavs popped off hitting at least half of their three-point shots.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peoples expectations about casinos free spins on: May 09, 2024, 10:12:16 PM
What do you guys think that free spins are supposed to be like?
I expected free spins to be similar to free bets in sports betting, once you finish claiming your spins through a specific slot game, you only have to roll it over once.

Have you ever used free spin to make money? At least a noticeable amount and withdraw it?
Yup, i've linked this winning post of mine multiple times before and was lucky enough to hit a 100x multiplier from a few dollars worth of free spins. This one came at a cost, i've lost a few hundred dollars before getting that win.

If you are running a new online casino will you feel good to give money away for free through free spins?
Nope, free spins will always have a catch(wager requirements, depositing specific amounts, VIPs, etc.), and if they plan to give away money with little to no requirements, it'll only be for a limited time.

Shopify Rebellion as they are about to participate the PGL Wallachia, they've removed Thiolicor as their position 4 player. The position 4 will be filled by skem, that's according to a streamer named 'Storm'.
We'll see if they'll pick him up after the tournament since it looked like the guys from Nigma Galaxy (Sumail and GH) are officially filling in the missing pieces for Shopify Rebellion. It'll be interesting to see the old EG duo Arteezy and Sumail back together once again.

Also, the tournament organizer Blast posted a teaser, and it appears they're hosting some Dota tournaments in the future, maybe with a leaderboard similar to their CS2 tournaments.

Rolling it on Real Madrid to win? Well I picked Real madrid to win on BSFL so I think imma put my money tonight on Munich though just in case if we get a lucky win from the germany side again tonight
I skipped the Real Madrid match as I was focused on watching some CS2 earlier.  Tongue

I did grab today's NBA special (Knicks to win and Hart double-double @1.80), and I still can't believe this won when the live lines were 1.30 for the Pacers at one point. The Knicks had a perfect start in the first quarter leading by double digits then after Brunson sat out for a quarter and a half because of a hand injury, the Pacers took control, and finished the first half with a ten-point lead. Once Brunson returned in the third quarter the situation completely turned around for the Knicks and the Pacers couldn't get a bucket to stop the Knicks' momentum.

186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 09, 2024, 01:02:25 AM
This ended up pretty close though. VP was probably 1-2 game away from losing on the 3rd map but they somehow made that crazy comeback. Im not sure how they actually got into that situation lol as I didnt watch everything because of the UCL. Anyway I got my 4/4 and yeah it was a great bet. I cant actually believe that Faze managed to clean up Navi with 2 straight maps lol
That Ancient CT comeback from VP is wild, I grabbed their live odds in the second half while they were still down 8-11. The Mongolz kept doing force buys that kept VP's economy low enough to be broken in the next buy round, but they're always getting outplayed by VP and failed to get a single one even with a man advantage.

Faze almost threw that second map away from 11-6 to 12-12. Navi did their best to force OT in the second half, but Faze woke up to deny a third map.

This first half isn't looking good with my side only scoring 1/3, and imarios' team is on a perfect 3/3. I wouldn't be surprised if i'll be down by three later today, and Olympiacos can't hold off Aston Villa.

My prediction for the NBA question is the only thing going well, i'm still confident with the Celtics not dropping a single game, and the first game of the Thunder series went as expected.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 08, 2024, 11:49:52 PM
Knicks -4.5 yeah I know it's been tight all playoffs but I have to believe in the fellas.  And as a smaller side bet over on jalen brunson points.  It's sitting at 37.5 which is wild.  It seems like an under bait so I will take the opposite.  Pacers defense sucks and JB averaging almost 30 fga and 11 ft attempts per game.  Gimme the point God for the over.
I have to trust the Knicks today as well, I still can't count out the Pacers from keeping this a close game, so i'm only betting on their match-winner.

After watching the first game, the Pacers had a lot of players who could keep their offense rolling, and it almost made me want to take their spread.

The over should be easy like the last game, and I also placed a small bet since the Pacers won't be slowing down anytime soon when they have that many players that can score while the Knicks mostly rely on their starters.

189  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 08, 2024, 04:34:09 PM
I'd tell him to keep his expectations low and accept the losses because returning once more to place more bets will always favor the casinos. Your friend will eventually win something, but it might not be enough to satisfy him. Instead of aiming for that big win, it's better to tone it down before it's too late and becomes a bigger problem. If he's struggling to stop his gambling addiction, he needs to look for another hobby that can reduce his gambling time, as that's what I did when I got hooked on casino games back then.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 08, 2024, 02:59:30 AM
I'm going the opposite I'm taking the under on this game.  I think the cavs will struggle to score on the road and are completely dependent on spida who is hit or miss.  I got the Celtics in a 108-93 win tonight.  Also taking the Celtics line tonight.  Cavs struggled against a very inexperienced young orlando team Celtics shoukd take them to town.
What was the line for the under/over? I do hope you cashed on the under since the shooting performance of these two teams was all over the place. In the first quarter, they dropped 74 points then barely put up 34 points in the second quarter, and i'm glad they secured my over before they started bricking in the last few minutes. The same thing happened in the second half and earlier, I noticed the over bettors getting tilted by the state of the game.

191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: May 08, 2024, 02:03:29 AM
This is actually a pretty good deal though, over 3.5 corners for 2x odds. I just checked Dortmund's corner statistic on their last 5 UCL games, all 5 of them ended up with over 3.5 corners so this could be most likely another hit. Im going to follow this for sure lol, its a no brainer
Nice, our tickets cashed as Dortmund exactly ended up with four corners.  Cheesy

It's tempting to roll it all over on Real Madrid tomorrow, but i'll probably look for something else.

What happened to PSG on their homefield?
Missed the match as obviously was too busy to watch it due to workloads but when got home seen they lost to Dortmund. How can that be?
They underperformed, which is rare to see at home. I'm thankful I switched from PSG to win to the team total corner bet I shared above after seeing the others believe in Dortmund to hold.  Tongue

192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 08, 2024, 12:28:21 AM
So in the end it was Betboom that ended up not making it to the next round. I thought it would be easy 4/4 obviously favourites would win but yeah Betboom literally sucker punch me lol. Im probably gonna do another parlay for the next 4 games trying to hit another 4/4. G2, VP, Team Liquid and probably Faze Clan again. Navi seems promising though but I got burned on the last one for not sticking with Faze Clan so I'll probably gonna stick with them on the next game
I also fell for BetBoom, they're close to 2-0ing FlyQuest once they had the lead in the second half of Mirage, and then it all fell apart.

The Navi vs. Faze rematch might be a toss-up, but I like Faze's chances after Complexity stunned Navi from the group stage.

Regardless of the small odds, the VP and G2 series are the only ones i'll be betting on due to an ESL promotion, and i'm avoiding the Team Liquid series as FlyQuest can force the upset.

193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 07, 2024, 11:02:50 PM
I'll still ride with the Celtics' first-half team total like last time since these guys can't be stopped from scoring, and I think the Cavs will only push the pace even further.

Based on the Magic series, the Cavs haven't been that solid on the road, and even without KP, the Celtics are still a tough team to stop. The Celtics should drop at least 60 points here unless they suddenly have an off day and I hope it's not today.

194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: May 07, 2024, 04:17:24 PM
I hope you guys didn't put that bet on Jokic.

Now, I am scared to bet for the Nuggets in Game 3. A possible sweep might happen and this will be damn embarrassing for the reigning champs. Maybe I will take the props on blocks and steals next time. Cheesy
Unfortunately, i'm one of the guys who took the Nuggets. After watching the first quarter, I accepted the fate of my Nuggets bet and decided to live bet on the Timberwolves with their odds still around 2.00~ while being up by double digits.

If the Nuggets still can't find an answer against the Timberwolves defense, they'll surely lose 4-0.

There are still no specials for the Champions League, so this is what i'll be betting on, the total corners for Dortmund felt more than doable even if they'll get pressured by PSG throughout the game.

195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 07, 2024, 05:07:21 AM
If you could do KYC process before making a deposit, would you do it?

When a user wins a huge amount the real nightmare starts, the users have to complete the worst KYC process he will see in his life, so, should users be afraid of getting a Max Win?
In my situation, i'll still go through without KYC and my reasoning is similar to the posts above. I've been playing with smaller bankrolls for the most part, and hitting the winning threshold for KYC is very low. In one of the casinos i've played, I remember they mentioned it being around $10k~ in one go or something close to it. Even if the casino has a lower max win that would trigger my account to go through KYC, my decision will remain the same.

I'd rather deal with the KYC situation once I have no choice because completing it in advance still has its downside, what if that max win doesn't come at all?
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you disguise on your real gambling lifestyle just to help a friend/relative? on: May 07, 2024, 02:31:30 AM
Does any of you guys have any negative side of gambling habit in you which literally you advices anyone not to exhibit it?
Or can you afford to hide your real disreputable gambling life just to help an astray gambling friend or relative?
It's more like passing the lesson i've learned from my gambling mistakes. I'm always down to tell a friend the stuff I know about gambling and pass on what I know so they don't go through the same mistakes.

I don't see the need to hide my gambling activities only to help someone, it's still mainly up to them to fix their gambling issues. I'd rather tell them about my gambling activities and make them understand that it's common for gamblers to fall for these countless mistakes.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 07, 2024, 01:45:20 AM
So any thoughts on the first 4 playoff round of 16?
I also like those four teams to advance, but i'm more confident on Faze and BetBoom. The odds on G2 and VP are too low, it's too risky when these two recently lost to weaker teams.

I'm not sure about the updated Vitality logo, and yeah it used to be white and yellow. Maybe they just wanted to update their logo including their merchandise, some teams do it almost every year.

Got some updates about the current tournament which is the EPL Season 18. Mouz is doing good not until they beg off to continue on this tournament because of the conflict of schedule for another tournament which is the PGL Wallachia Season 1.
They're so lucky to participate in that tournament after Tundra failed to secure their visa, and OG declined the invite due to them having other plans.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 06, 2024, 11:28:28 PM
I'm playing it safe with the Knicks match-winner @1.44 because I don't know if they'll get overwhelmed by the offense of the Pacers or if they could control the tempo and hold them below their average total points. I still trust them to win here as the Pacers dropped two games against a Bucks team that barely had the firepower to extend the series. I likely expect this one to be tight if the Pacers come out firing with their shooting and if not, we could see the Knicks get it done today.

199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: May 06, 2024, 04:37:51 PM
It's my first time seeing that shared bets page, and one of my settled bets was listed there. They're probably adding a feature where we could earn some coins whenever someone bets through our links.

The thing is not to take all specials, but the ones you like.

Sorry about Nuggets, it wasn't even close and Jokic scored well above your 27 points.
I agree with that, and it's what i've been doing on most of the specials that I think has the best chance of winning. I just hope they don't take it away once I start to win more than usual.

There's no need to be sorry with the Nuggets bet, it's for the match later today unless you came from the future.  Grin

Still not seeing any of the Sportsbet.io Specials that you are seeing @ralle14 or would have gladly taken that one for tonight's NBA play-offs selection on Denver and Jokic getting that many points for the Nuggets.
I'm still waiting for now, and see if the odds will go up even more. I'm more worried about the Nuggets winning today than Jokic scoring enough points since he can always put up 30+ points.

The Group B matches have also finished in the ESL Pro League. The qualifiers are Vitality, TheMongolz, BetBoom and G2.

Vitality were no surprise as they were one of the strongest teams there. G2 made me surprised by barely making it. I mean they had to play last chance after being beaten by TheMongolz and M80.  Sad  I hope to see G2 getting more competitive in later stages.

TheMongolz were really surprising to me. I didn't know about them much and found out they ranked up from 50th to 16th in less than a year. Impressive! They look really consistent and I wonder what they can do more later.
I also didn't see that upset coming from the Mongolz, and they're probably lucky to face a shaky side of G2 at the time. They'll face the winner of the GamerLegion/Virtus.Pro series in the playoffs, both teams aren't doing great, but it won't be easy to defeat any of these two.

This season of ESL Pro League had more upsets than expected like Navi losing to Complexity, then some of the good teams (Heroic, FURIA, and ENCE) failing to qualify. Still, the playoff situation is looking spicy, specifically for the side of Faze/Monte, the winner faces Navi and Vitality.  Tongue
