183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Don't Black People Use Bitcoins? on: September 12, 2011, 09:13:49 PM
How is bitcoin "white" only? It was invented by a Japanese, the russian subforum is the second largest, https://btcchina.com exchange is one of the biggest international ones, despite the fact that china is behind a "great firewall", there is this guy. Aaaand we have this: http://www.bitcoinmap.com
Obviously most people reside in first world countries, but pcs and mobile devices are widespread even in "3rd World" countries.
Everybody who has the will can contribute, there are no restrictions. And bitcoin, obviously, does not see "colour".

bye

Both the coins and the smileys seem suspiciously yellow to me  Smiley
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP storing your Bitcoins on ANONYMOUS WEB! on: September 12, 2011, 09:05:59 PM
So were do I store the USD I use to buy during downturns? In my wallet file?  Cheesy
Actually, bitcoin has caused me to hold more usd than I have ever before. Isn't that ironic?

its better than having it in a bank i guess, unless you do have it in a bank or something.

and a continuation of my last post, tigervnc ended up sucking ass, and ultravnc is not FOSS. so im trying tightvnc, it looks more promising, im using windows btw, im sure you linux people are laughing at me right now.   Cry
tightvnc is good

Few blacks doesn't mean only white. Just wanted to point it out. Also, while I am at it, the OP should ideally provide stronger evidence that there indeed are few black people here.

I model it as a random jog - it's far more volatile than a random walk  Grin
190  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling javacode for tradingbot (Britcoin/MtGox/TradeHill) on: September 11, 2011, 10:21:02 AM

191  Economy / Goods / NVM on: September 11, 2011, 10:06:19 AM
Ok nvm I changed my mind

Features:
-Access all three exchanges with an easy and common interface
-Access to the otherwise mostly inaccessible britcoin site (has no api)
-Includes facilities for sending btc between sites, useful for arbitrage trading.
-Converts GBP to USD transparently using an exchange rate pulled from a google api.
-Window for manually monitoring the exchanges, balances, and placing trades.

195  Economy / Speculation / Re: We've stablized the currency of bitcoins! on: September 09, 2011, 01:38:29 PM
It's now dwindling down slow.  Knowing it's obviously set for another crash, why don't the holders just sell it all off right now before it drops to $5 and below?
updated for todays data
196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is waiting for the weekend effect? on: September 09, 2011, 01:06:34 PM
There is no weekend effect. The bots never sleep and now they seem to have figured out their liquidity levels to get through the weekend...
Speak for yourself... My bot sleeps at night.

But that means you allow in some electromagnetic radiation...

I have an acoustic connection to the outdoor fiber. For power I just use my trusty diesel generator
