bigben, I pm'd my refund address for batch 1.  thank you

I gotcha.
182  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: October 11, 2013, 10:05:30 AM
Thanks for your work bigben. I sent an address confirmation PM to John K a while back. (I am in the "2nd list.") Is that all that is required?

It should be.  I'm not actually in communication with John K. right now, so I don't know what he has.  I'm just trying to keep us moving forward and try to provide a central point of documentation.  Hopefully my spreadsheet will assist John K with his refund task.  But it may be that he already has other plans.  Again, I don't know.  I just want to consolidate as much information as I can until we hear from John K.

If you have sent your address to JohnK, please also send it to BigBen - that way we all know once all addresses have been confirmed as they will be in the spreadsheet. PMs to JohnK may get lost in the noise, and will make it impossible for us to have one central confirmed spreadsheet, and JohnK definitely does not want to be putting together a separate refund spreadsheet.

I would be happy to chase JohnK to process our refunds, but it's hard to justify that when we don't even have a full list of users and their refund addresses on our side.

Therefore everyone who has not already done so should please confirm their refund address to bigbeninlondon via PM asap.

bigbeninlondon - have you considered PMing each of the people who have not yet confirmed their addresses individually? If you don't want to do this, would you like me to do it on your behalf?

scotjam

I had thought about it, but figured it'd be premature to PM people before John K has stopped by to weigh in.  I figured maybe a good portion of people would confirm this weekend when they have a chance to log in.  I guess it wouldn't hurt to PM everyone who hasn't confirmed; I'll put something together today.

184  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] WTF! BitFunder Restrictions to US Citizens on: October 10, 2013, 04:38:19 PM
It is also partially restricted to canadian and other users. As they force you to go through weexchange (false volume) they are going to prevent you from doing even this unless you have provided a selection of id documents totalling 100 points, but if you do not posses a drivers license there is NO WAY to get 100 points. I've got credit card (25 points), utility bill (25 points), passport (40 points) but no driver's license. I have epilepsy. Trust me, you DO NOT want me driving on public roads. so this means, due to a medical condition, that is no fault of my own, I am probably unable to use weexchange, and therefore, on nov 1st, totally unable to use bitfunder either.
...

Access for people with disabilities is made possible through the very government regulations we try to avoid.
It is not a right.
Illness, much like poverty and lack of intelligence, hinders your ability to compete in this -- the free market.
Sad but true.
Kindly refrain from calling on the nanny-state to intervene on your behalf to regulate bitcoin entrepreneurs out of existence Angry

Why do you think that they want gov.t issued driver's license to begin with?  Here's a hint: it's the nanny-state.  They are causing this issue for our disabled friend, and he (justly so IMHO) is stating that if they are going to fuck him because of nanny-state id requirements, he hopes it takes them full circle and fucks the site too.

Nowhere did he call on the nanny state to intervene on his behalf.

Daily refund update:

The following users still haven't provided any refund address to me or redphlegm.  As always, if you've already contacted John K. then you should be ok, but you won't show up on my refund list.  To show up on my refund list, please PM me with your preferred refund address.

The following users have provided addresses, but have not confirmed with me via PM.  We've already discovered one fraudulent entry in redphlegm's form (since anyone can fill it out), so please verify that your address is indeed correct on my spreadsheet as an extra security measure.

Also, anyone whose refund address I found on this thread in the last week were marked as "Posted" under the Confirm column.  If you'd prefer to just post here, I'll pick that up too.

Edit: Posting the URL to the refund sheet again just in case:

Edit2: Just went back a bit further and found some additional refund addresses posted in this thread.  List updated.
186  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: October 09, 2013, 06:31:16 PM
btcQuick share price getting annihilated right now.

I am aware of this... We are just as surprised as you all are and hope you can understand this will take time to resolve. I will do my best to keep all of you updated.

How about giving option to shareholders (especially US citizens) to turn the shares into direct shares?
I think the low price is more or less due to the fact US shareholders can no longer hold their share via bitfunder. Turning the shares into direct shares will be able to keep US shareholders (long term investment ones)

I know that may be difficult, but If its possible, I would really like that option. I am trying to get all my coins out of BitFunder but I do not want to sell my BtcQuick shares.

If you're in the US you have until Nov. 1. So plenty of time for things to get resolved.

Yea, to be able to execute trades.  Prices are going to bottom out WAY before that.

Daily "Refund Confirmation" Update:

All PM's from yesterday and this morning were recorded to the spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApT7WUJuJCwMdEhFX2UxbF9Nd0xydmhnUUJiZVBLVlE&usp=drive_web#gid=3

The following users do not have a record for refund address on redphlegm's spreadsheet, nor have I received any communication nor has anything been posted in the forum:

If you have already contacted John K., please let me know so we can keep a public tally of where we stand as far as refunds.  Otherwise, I have addresses, but not confirmed for the following people (considering ANYONE could have filled out redphlegm's form with your username, I don't consider a refund address "confirmed" unless I get a PM; how John K. handles this may be different)

If you are on the first list, please inform me or John K. of your preferred refund address.

If you are on the second list, please double check the sheet to ensure your address was correctly recorded:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApT7WUJuJCwMdEhFX2UxbF9Nd0xydmhnUUJiZVBLVlE&usp=drive_web#gid=3

and then PM me confirmation or change requests.

Thanks Guys; hopefully my effort here can speed things up for John K., who is undoubtedly busy catching up with things that transpired during the bitcointalk blackout. Smiley

Everyone else, please PM me to confirm that I have your valid address.

Wow ok I'm done. I won't be reading or posting in this thread again. I've already said I'm sorry for the conflict in my life that got in the way with this group buy plenty of times. And people are still trying to bicker about a few dollars.

John.K please refund my 17 BTC to 1FMjXR8GgrjVmpbvTjmM1GfuGZXkR3AZja thanks.

Maybe John.K should hold your funds, ignore your posts, PMs and then popin after few weeks tell you that he broke up with his girlfriend and wasn't in the mood to deal with you. Tell you that he will get back to you soon and again keep ignoring your PMs and Post, leaving you in limbo.  And if you lucky, he'll show up again one day and ask you why are you bickering over few dollars.

But GUYS!! He said he was sorry!  Roll Eyes
192  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: October 01, 2013, 09:50:10 AM
The spreadsheets are available.  John K hasn't said anything about additional info.  AFAIK the chip count on my sheet is dead on.  Redphlegm where are we with your sheet?  The last I checked it was about 1000 chips short.

I am still going through the cascade of PM's confirming the refund addresses (which appeared suddenly since last week), and even have requests to change their refund addresses like 2 times. If possible, can someone point me the standard and acceptable refund list that I can simply use to send bitcoin to?

Redphlegm pm'd you last week with a refund address form.  I just re-forwarded you the link for the results.  That should be pretty complete with over 9000 chips accounted for.  If you cross reference his form results (which were filled in by users) with the chip count form that I put together from the thread, you should have an accurate count for each user who filled out the form.  Let me know if you need anything else.
193  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: September 30, 2013, 06:55:18 PM
We could definitely move ahead with the refund, minus the 32 chips.  Then that can be decided later.

And I want to be clear; I care not what happens to the 32 chips, except I don't want Raging to get anything more than he deserves, which I think is zero.  I have 20 chips in this buy, so my say is negligible.  I just remember all the anxiety and stress about what was going to happen to this group buy that was caused when he just up and disa-fucking-ppeared.  I resent him for that and I want to make sure that he is in no way rewarded.

I'm not intending to be petty.  The point is not to make a few bucks for myself, but rather to keep Raging from being 2 some odd btc up from this group buy, when he so obviously mishandled it.

Either way, the vote spreadsheet is here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/197FRCI5sRWs9UDuHSZ9HFTO_7_WD4acvAlcKMMCWyAE/formResponse

Mob rule seems to work pretty well. Smiley

Might as well call it VaporFury1
If you are going to have a pre-order, SHOW US WHAT WE ARE ORDERING!

There's always got to be at least one.  Notice the username too.  Fitting.
Always one what there chief? One who questions the word? I don't drink the koolaid without finding out what's in it. So far we saw a screwed up motherboard.. then the op states he soldere the usb connector on wrong.. very reassuring and comforting knowing this stuff isn't it?.. Just a little hint... if you fuck something up like that.. don't tell the people you are wanting to invest in you and your project so you don't look amature.

You called it vaporware.  Now that there is evidence of progress, suddenly it's not "vaporware" but "amateur hour".  You said "Show us what we are buying!" and then when they did, you criticized that.  If you don't like what you see, then move on.

I'm in the process of trying to get the chips back from Prodigits7 - What happens after I get the chips?

Use them or sell them.  They're yours.

Worst case scenario I will pay for the sample chips. If ~2.5BTC divided among 80+ people means that much to you guys - $4 a person... I will buy everyone a beer. There, are we happy now?

Trivialize it all you want.  You fucked shit up.  You received some chips early and didn't do as you were asked.  It's more important to me that you pay for everything you got; I want you to profit 0 from this group buy.  I'd even be OK with donating that 2.5 BTC to Shawn's Outpost or something, as long as you don't get it.

We could back and forth, but I propose we vote.

I made a simple form for this express purpose:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/197FRCI5sRWs9UDuHSZ9HFTO_7_WD4acvAlcKMMCWyAE/formResponse

I know the chips were 1/3 of one percent of the total buy, and thus is generally insignificant, but at this point I'm so upset with Raging's handling of this group buy and subsequent behavior that I don't believe he should receive even a satoshi more than he absolutely has to in this group buy.

So here's ANOTHER form that you can choose to fill out if you wish, and we can gauge how to go forward with regards to the sample chips.
