181  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How many cores on the avalon asic chip on: April 02, 2013, 08:34:00 PM
I dont have an avalon.
I would like an explanation as to what simple thing I am overlooking.
182  Bitcoin / Hardware / How many cores on the avalon asic chip on: April 02, 2013, 12:09:23 AM
Im trying to understand how these things work.

We got 80 chips per module, each module producing at least 20 g/hash
so each chip is 250 mh/s

250,000,000 hashes per second

And a hash is 512 bytes (Right?)

Im getting 128 Gbit per second per chip in throughput (term?)

This seems like a lot

Am i doing something way wrong?

184  Economy / Service Discussion / The Pizza Index on: April 01, 2013, 05:26:14 AM
It is cool that we show what the pizza would have been worth, but we should also show the obverse. Im proposing a reverse pizza index that goes like this

2010  Pizza Combo @ Papa Johns = 10,000 BTC (.04 ea.)
2011  Pizza Combo @ Papa Johns = 10 BTC (@2.50 ea
2012  Pizza Combo @ Papa Johns = 5 BTC  (@5.00 ea
2013  Pizza Combo @ Papa Johns = 0.25 BTC (@100 ea.)

Pretty soon you will be able to buy a papa johns combo for .05 BTC Smiley.
I just think it proves a point too. Idk i was just thinking.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to say against the claim "backed by the state/bank" on: March 31, 2013, 10:43:26 PM
I dont think it would be hard to argue, legitimately, that if bitcoin is backed by anything, it IS math.
What the hell do you think SHA256 is? Reading Comprehension (haha i guess it is sorta)? Woodshop? Nope, Its definitely math.   Huh
Additionally, I think it is safe to say that the state is backing a currency if they are allowing debts to be paid using it.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Listen to bitcoin...fucking awesome! on: March 31, 2013, 10:27:06 PM

Fare doppio clic GuiMiner in modo che sia "aperta".
Premi Alt + ctrl + del.
Vai alla scheda "Applicazioni".
Fare clic destro su guiminer e selezionare "portare in primo piano".
Questo puņ funzionare per voi, lo ha fatto per me.
Scusate se questo č difficile da capire che parlare solo in inglese e usate google translate.

190  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Conductive Cu/Ni Fabric on: March 30, 2013, 10:32:24 PM
You should make a deal with someone to escrow because you have such a short history here.
I will buy 6 feet if a distinguished member with an escrow history holds the money.
191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: jewelry - not much available for Bitcoin? on: March 30, 2013, 10:55:39 AM

If you want I can make a list of some stuff available and pricing, and if your interested we can go from there.
PM me or we can keep it public, its at your discretion.

194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I think that we should do something special for the 100$BTC Mark on: March 30, 2013, 10:38:41 AM
^That's what I'm talking about!!
So we have Fine Cigars & Whiskey, Donating, and Gloating or told-you-so'ing (Definition of Gloating Applies: "Contemplate or dwell on one's own success or another's misfortune with malignant pleasure") so far.
Keep em coming!! Grin
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I think that we should do something special for the 100$BTC Mark on: March 30, 2013, 04:44:45 AM
I think that it would be cool to get a big balloon with a statement about bitcoin and let it go in the middle of a massive concert or rave.
That couldnt cost too much right?
...would from that point on known as the "Balloon Index"  Grin

It could be.
We need a new one for each year really.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I think that we should do something special for the 100$BTC Mark on: March 30, 2013, 04:31:57 AM
I was kinda suggesting personally celebrating.
But maybe we should do something as a community too Smiley

Suggestions Welcome,

I think that it would be cool to get a big balloon with a statement about bitcoin and let it go in the middle of a massive concert or rave.
That couldnt cost too much right?
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / So I think that we should do something special for the 100$BTC Mark on: March 30, 2013, 04:11:57 AM
Basically its easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the bitcoin world. I propose that when it hits $100, we have reached a level of success worthy of notice. We should take a moment to honor it in some way. Looking back to when bitcoins skyrocketed to $32, and it was hard to believe they would recover from $4, we see now that we have shattered the expectations at this point, and there is no signs of stopping.
When it does Happen, and it could be tonight, post your method of celebration.
A "Fine Cigar" is what I have to work with at the moment, a Graycliff 300 Torpedo Tip.
I just cant freaking believe how far its come. Although I simultaneously never had a doubt that it would.
It just feels good to have been right, and its just the beginning of our prophecies coming to fruition.
"Gentlemen, we have arrived."
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinFoundation - PR person ? on: March 29, 2013, 12:39:33 AM
Like I said,
I can share the "above par posts" with anyone who matters.
It will be awesome to see gweedos reaction if it ever becomes worth it to do so.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinFoundation - PR person ? on: March 28, 2013, 07:34:09 PM
Haha,

That account was for a business ultimately,
So I made this for a personal type deal.

*Edit
Anyways, I just thought it was a good fit. I'm not like desperate for the position. Its a lot of work and a lot of repetitious explanation. I just happen to have a way with the average folks Smiley
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinFoundation - PR person ? on: March 28, 2013, 07:09:25 PM
