181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Raid Home of Alleged "Bitcoin Creator" Craig Wright - ALL FACTS on: December 09, 2015, 07:46:41 PM
It is funny how this people are trying to frustrate the entire bitcoins as a digital currency. I just came to find out the reason why people and states are against this bitcoin thing. Like other forms of currency, bitcoin has no formal body that can exercise control over it when demand and supply keep changing. In so doing, it becomes a serious threat to the economy if at all people will depend on it as a stable currency. Raiding the home wont help now, the protocol is already in use.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theory: Which other cryptocurrency would people choose if Bitcoin would fail? on: December 09, 2015, 07:42:54 PM
To me bitcoins is the type of digital currency under study. Therefore a failure in bitcoins means that I need not to venture else where. Bitcoins has a reached a place where if it fails to pick up completely, there is no other digital currency that will survive. My attention and focus are all directed to this bitcoin because of the value it holds. Other alternatives are there and never convenient as the coins. I am team bitcoins forever or never engage in digital currency.
183  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coca-Cola or Pepsi? on: December 08, 2015, 07:41:43 PM
There is just this amazing feeling that comes with coca cola, a feeling that I have never had with other drinks. It is for this reason that i have forever stuck to coca cola and i never take any other drink. I know pepsi may seem to be trendy but honestly speaking, Coca Cola are just on another level which you can reign over them easily. It is the perfect drink and always available whenever you need it. This is not the case with pepsi.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Death to Bitcoin* on: December 08, 2015, 07:38:50 PM
From the expereince i have, the organization might have been facing challenges that have threatened their existence. However, this is not a conclusion to say they are out of business. people to have their lows and highs when it comes to business. I am even sure that if this organization fail to rise from the challenges, there are people who will pick it up and continue embracing the vision that they had initially. A good idea will always sell out. watch out!
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2015, 07:35:55 PM
I do believe that with the advancements in terms of technology, we are going towards having the digital currency. Bitcoins is a perfect example of digital currency. people should be able to use the coins since they are the things we will be using in the coming years thus it is a rehearsal for them now. The other reason is because bitcoins has this high value and worthiness that people should embrace. They should be used as alternatives to gold.
186  Other / Off-topic / Re: Age of bitcoin users. on: December 08, 2015, 07:31:23 PM
A majority of the people who are doing the bitcoin trade are the youths aged between 10 years and 35 years. the reason being they are the age bracket in which computers and the internet have caught their attention. I am currently 25 years old. This however does not mean that we do not have the people in the old age carrying out the business. My father is 51 and he busy check the coins and trade even more than I do.
187  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cars or Bikes? on: December 08, 2015, 07:29:00 PM
I prefer both depending on the situation at hand. I have a car and a super bike at my home. I most of the time use the car during the week days just visit the companies that I work with and when I attend meetings. The reason being the car helps me carry around my things with much easy compared to the bike. I also live in the hood with lots of rain. Since I am always out on official duty during the weekdays, it is the best option. The bike is used on weekends to just hang out with my dear wife.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I would be interested to learn about BTC adoption beyond the usual countries on: December 08, 2015, 09:50:36 AM
Bitcoins can only be adopted in the countries where the internet penetration is growing at a very high rate. You need to know that bitcoins trading only takes place online and if the country is not embracing the connectivity, then it will be very hard for them to adopt. I am sure that with reliable internet connection, people can be able to google and just figure out what the bitcoin trading is all about.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: December 08, 2015, 09:48:03 AM
I use bitcoins on a monthly basis. However, it is never the real bitcoin because i do exchange the coins for dollars through sell among other things. It is through the dollars I receive from the selling that I am able to pay for my bills, rent and take care of my entire family. I have never spend the real coins on a daily basis but only done so when trading. Most people today to use coins on a daily basis but indirectly. It is hard to have the real coins spent on daily transactions.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will be more adopted in long run: btc mobile payments or debit cards? on: December 08, 2015, 09:41:21 AM
have not yet applied the debit card for bitcoin since i do not want to spend more on the coins i have. Personally, I do think that when that bitcoins will have hit the market with much pressure, we will see banks emerging and this is the time where the debit card for bitcoin will be required. That moment where you have a bank that has specialized in transacting the bitcoins. For now, it is easier to adopt the btc mobile payments.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: December 08, 2015, 09:37:38 AM
I have never bought a physical product or good through bitcoins. In fact, I never ask for that option because I know how precious the coins are. Most shop owners who have the idea and clear understanding what the coins can do, they will not at any cost decline such like offer. But sometime I have always thought it is good to make the purchase. It is through such like platforms that we get to market the coins to other shoppers presenr.
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Supply & Demand Price Contradictions: Bitcoin / Gold / Silver on: December 08, 2015, 09:34:43 AM
before bitcoins came into place, silver and gold were the most precious thing and commodities that were used to store wealth. But with the invention of the magic coin, I tell you guys found the alternative options for the investment. It is for this reason that you are seeing the value of the coin going higher in demand and pricing which is directly opposite to the gold and silver. It is just that we have several options and today, you cant say you made it because you have gold.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think might be holding back Bitcoin's success? on: December 08, 2015, 09:31:55 AM
To me the bitcoin has already been successful. the reason am saying so that there are today very many people who are trading as we talk now on the bitcoin platforms. One thing i think you are trying to put across is the fact that the bitcoins are not being used across the globe the way you see dollars being used in all countries in the world. It is just the matter of time and we will be there. Success is a milestone thing and you get one in a while.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Encouraging people to adopt Bitcoin. on: December 08, 2015, 09:27:40 AM
There are some cautions that we need to take into consideration before we think of spreading the word about bitcoins to the people around us. The entire algorithm behind the working of bitcoins is always complex and am imagining how it will be taken into consideration by the people who have no clue with the IT. We need to find the most user friendly user interface that will enable other people know how to mine the coins and just generate enough revenue then let the whole world know.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook: “Your kids will not know what money is” on: December 08, 2015, 09:25:11 AM
I can honestly say that it is only through bitcoins that we will be able to open up the entire economy to the world. One thing i am sure that is going through the minds of the CEO of big companies like apple is how the bitcoin thing will compete them. there are these people who always think that only good thing come from their companies. Whether they like it or not, trust me that the bitcoin is gaining popularity day and night.
196  Other / Off-topic / Re: $500 Amazon Gift Card? on: December 08, 2015, 09:22:01 AM
All i can say that you need to be very careful when getting such like deals. people know that the gift cards area place and point to catch your attention and thus they will use such opportunities to steal from you. I remember there was a time when I was convinced to buy an amazon gift card worth $1000 at a cost of $100. Only after I have spend my dollars is when i came to realize that it was a big scum and the card was a stolen one which Amazon flagged without me using it.
197  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: December 08, 2015, 09:13:42 AM
I have for so long been using firefox browser when it comes to all online presence. One thing that has made me stay on this type of browser for sometime now is the fact that it is very light and will make your surfing speed improved. Other browsers that I have used are always heavy and slow. You can not even open a simple webpage using them. Firefox need to maintain the simplicity of the design so that they can get to have many users. team firefox always.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Encouraging people to adopt Bitcoin. on: December 07, 2015, 06:35:00 PM
It all begins with me and you. If at all we want to have this bitcoin thing get rooted among the people around us, then we should take each opportunity we get to share the benefits of the coins and how people can easily trade. Just offering to help the new users through a few frist steps is the best thing you can do. have your friends, family and even workmates get to know about the bitcoins and  try to explain to them what they have been missing. People find it easy to here from the people around them to believe.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: December 07, 2015, 06:30:27 PM
One big problem that i have with the bitcoins is that it has not been integrated with lots of financial institutions. This makes it harder for someone to make withdrawal of the coins they have made with much easy. I was thinking if you guys came up with an integration platform hat will enable people channel the coins directly to their bank accounts. It will make it easy for a common trader to have his or her profits at the comfort of the living room.
200  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: December 07, 2015, 06:25:51 PM
Bitcoin hitting the $1000000 . I have so much hope in bitcoin doing very well the coming years. When the demand for the coins will increase gradually, the price of acquisition will also escalate and it will be to the benefit of those people who have the coins in store. This is the face of digital currency and where the world is heading to. Bitcoins cant lose it even if it is facing challenges here and there, it will be stable and traders will enjoy making unimaginable profits.
