181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / There are no coins. Bitcoins actually do not exist!!! on: April 27, 2018, 10:32:12 PM
Instead of storing actual coins, a distributed public database keeps record of all timestamped and confirmed transactions between bitcoin addresses. For the transactions to enter this public ledger the signed transactions need to be broadcasted, validated and accepted by the bitcoin network, to avoid any incongruence and double spending.
Bitcoins only exist as balances associated with bitcoin addresses as a result of previous transactions in the sense that you can trace the chain of valid transactions until you reach a special transaction called "coinbase", i.e. some minted bitcoins that enter circulation as scheduled.
To allow value to be split and combined, transactions contain multiple inputs and outputs.
The output values of previous transactions will be referenced as input values of future ones.
Previous transaction outputs are referenced as new transaction inputs and transactions simply allocate funds to a new owner that can then spend them in a new transaction.
There are no coins. Bitcoins actually do not exist!!!
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "The shape of bitcoin", by Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 10, 2018, 01:03:26 AM
No, Satoshi Nakamoto is not an AI or a group of people. No, he is a real human being and he is not dead.
Satoshi is writing a book, named 'The shape of bitcoin' explaining his motivations and disclosing many secrets we didn't know.
He will reveal his work ready to be published as a book if the funds in his genesis block address reach a valuation of 21 million US dollars.
He intends to give all this raised money to the charity 'GiveDirectly', based in Africa.
It seems Satoshi is antecipating being found and decided to surprise the world before that.
Satoshi is a great writer. Believe me.

'So, is it still 2027?' ; 'Ah! Of course I know the answer' ; 'All things with intelligence observe and give information. That keeps the clock ticking' ; 'All there is is knowledge. It couldn't be otherwise. It happens.' ; 'Total freedom is willing things to be as they are and to happen as they do.' ; 'Who do you think you are?' ; 'Reward your Self! Be happy!'...  Cheesy

The four letters in the human DNA alphabet – A, C, G, T. Let A be 3, C be 5, G be 7 and T be 11. Now multiply all of the three billion letters in a human being DNA. You will get a giant integer number. And you can use the last digits of it as a fingerprint.

Check out the ebook: A Dissection of Bitcoin by Paul Huang.
It is worth every penny, IMO.

Since your location numbers are seemingly quite random (at least for people on the surface of the earth) using these as ZIP code might not be very useful - just in my living room I have more than a dozen cubes that probably have VERY different decimal representations.

If you wanted you could cluster the counting a bit more widely so that each cluster of cubes corresponded to the usual zip codes that map our neighbourhoods. Then you would use prefixes, or other short-way pattern, to designate your succinct zip codes.

It would be a great challenge for architects to build interconnected buildings (with vertical and horizontal elevators) in the best places for interesting, aesthetical and intelligent reasons.

The future is exciting.

Here is a book that I would love Satoshi Nakamoto had the time to read.

Hope you have good reading, if you will.

There are about 210,000,000 kg of gold in the world.
And so, 1 BTC is comparable to 10 Kg of gold.

195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Shop in South London quite interested in having a bitcoin ATM on: November 20, 2016, 08:45:36 PM
Hello,

Today I found a shop, an off-licence shop that during the day also sells fruit at the entrance, just out of the tube/subway station of Clapham North.
I thouth: this would be one of the best places I can think of in Lambeth/SouthLondon.
So I walked in and started talking about Bitcoin and Lamassu ATMS.
When I told the guy that each machine inestment was only $6k and that he got very interested and started asking me which margin could he have.

If anyone in London wants his address/postcode please private message me.

There are many of these shops like this one in London but this one sounded quite interested and seems to me a particularly good location.

Here is a map with other similar shops: https://www.24houralcohol.co.uk/lambeth-off-licences
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "Internet of Money" or "Internet of ownership" ? on: November 16, 2016, 08:59:54 AM
I prefer the latter because it puts emphasis on the blockchain technology ability to be use for change of ownership of digital or physical assets in a global and free market where even robotic machinery can be in charge of owning, maintaining and exchanging valuable assets.
Bitcoin and the block chain technology are the internet of ownership for he/she/it.

PS.: check out my "International Postcode system using Meter Cubes" with 22 digits up to 9261000000000000000000 you have the ordered numbered physical/static meter cubes locations. starting with a run of nines you would have layers for movable things on the planet: human IDs, car plates, books I'd, SIM cards, etc. 21 million meters cubed (22 digits).
