If you have a shitty password. Use a password generator like KeePass and make it as long and convoluted as you want. 64+ random characters and symbols should slow them down.

Just switched to 2.10.5 and cgminer.exe crashes when it tries connecting to the pool I'm using. 2.10.4 works fine.

There are clients that don't require the blockchain. Electrum comes to mind. You can make a dynamic link and move the bitcoin folder to a drive of your choice if your C:\ drive is full. There's a thread on here somewhere with the commands to make the link. Try the search box or google.
