181  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: September 11, 2016, 05:37:05 PM
I changed my investing strategy because i always get scammed by website i deposting my bitcoin or money well im investigating first before i deposit my money on their website i hate being  scammed all around and i moslty trust casinos website to invest money
Investing in online casinos is way better than investing in HYIP or ponzi scheme, you are good because you continue your journey despite being discourage because you lose in many attempts.

I agree, i'd rather gamble than investing on those HYIPs or pomzis which are definitely a scam even if they last for a year.  You are a fool if you believe on those HYIPs or ponzis out there and invest to them. Their offers are too good to be true to believe. HYIPs and ponzis are way more risky than investinv in online casinos.
It is better to do gambling than gamble in HYIPs, gambling can give us profit especially in sports betting because we can analyze the pre-game match up and if you are a sports enthusiast you have the advantage that you can use to make consistent income.

I would not consider gambling to something as investing. Investing is not having a 50% of winning your money back. But more getting a less large risk to get ROI on your investment.
That's why i try to diversify in assets like stocks, bitcoin and altcoins. This way I am not betting all on 1 horse while i still have a decent chance on getting my investment back.

Gambling is just 46% chance to get your money back. The trading is about 49% if you consider the trading fees.
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: August 28, 2016, 11:43:09 AM
It's 25% or sometimes it's even more. That's neither becuase I have much of Bitcoins nor because I earn lots of them. In fact I have a bit more than 1 BTC but my other earnings are low and it happens that Bitcoins is almost all I have at the moment.

Your signature campaign can make you some money. I think it is better to earn the bitcoin directly with paid for bitcoins.
183  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2016, 04:12:11 PM
Less than 0.1% of my asset is in bitcoin. I plan to increase it to 1 to 5% in the next three years by mining.

And now it seems overbought
i cannot say that it is overbought, the price still has a lot of potential to go up in my opinion and make us some good profit pretty soon

I understand the potential, I'm holding for the long term. Smiley

The bitcoin price is quite stable at the moment. I never see this stability before. It is very suitable to be a currency.

Im buyng some Gpus for my new rig.

Did r290x have much more power than r9 290?

Or same thing for mining?
I picked 3 x 290s a couple months ago, at stock settings I hash about 25 MH. I expect a 290x you might see 28... have to weigh the cost up front. I got mine for 179.00 each.

Now, mine are reference coolers... and sapphires, they suck! lol noisy and they run hot! but they have made me some money and perform good, do what I bought them for. Not sure if they make a dual fan 290x... but go with that if they do. Will be much quieter and cooler. Pull about 1000 watts on a 3 rig system. A cheap 1200 watt will suffice  Wink

Undervolt and you will save a ton of electricity, also you could overclock the core gpu and get more MH, they will hash up to 29 mh with a overclock.  290X is just a "factory" overclocked 290.

Although while mining Ether they perform about 1% within each other at the same mhz, that is only because Eth doesn't push them.

The 290X has 4 more Compute units than 290  (44 vs 40.  2813 shaders vs 2560), which will provide ~10% more performance in games and other compute intensive applications.

cheers

When you do dual mining with 290 and 290x, will you get more Decred or Siacoin with 290x than 290?
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 01, 2016, 12:47:06 PM
It shouldn't.

If it does not connect to the motherboard, then it might burn the SATA cable as the rated power is lower than 75W.

As you can see now you see that Bitcoin is becoming more worth and that is because it started to rise slowly now and that is nice and you can even see now that the halving is coming also.
And many people waited already a long time until they can sell it with profit so maybe the time will be soon.

If the price rises slowly, say, 10% a month, the price will not drop too much as there is no big pump and dump.

Yes thats the great thing  for slow rising. The good effect for slow rising is that the price of bitcoins rises slowly and it will not fall all of sudden. This is called stability in price and this is what we all want from bitcoin. We dont want bitcoin to rise upto 1000$ all of sudden and next days dropped to 200$. We want slow rise in price just like now.

Just keep your eyes pointed at what will happen directly after the block halving. I foresee some massive dumps which will cause the price to tank very hard.

If the price stays around the current level after the halving, there will be no big dump. If the price rieses too fast, there will big dump.

The price just rose to $740, that is another 8% of rise in the last 24 hours. Is there a bitcoin bubble forming?

If you mix the video cards from different generations, such as 3x280x + 3x 390, will that increase the stale share rate?

No. Every card has own settings, so you can mix different cards as you wish.

How long is the kernel time for different cards? Does the system wait for all cards to finish before requesting for new jobs?

1. Depends on "-ethi" value.
2. No. Miner manages every card separately.

Does it mean if I have 8 GPU, they will request 8 jobs from the pool and work on them independently?

If these guys truly believe what they've written then let's see them start making some monster buys.

There is a reason for the under value. There is no block size increase until now, the transaction take too long time.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low Hashrate with R9 380x Ethereum mining on: May 09, 2016, 07:31:16 AM
Yeah, I had an issue with massively slow hashrate on a brand new 390x.  Had the newest Crimson installed, bumped back to 15.something and my hashrate went to where it should be.  By bad hashrate I mean it was only putting out maybe 10 and it was never recognized by the pools.  So what I am saying is you need to do a search for a version of Crimson that will function properly for your setup.

For me, the Crimoson cannot regcognize 8 GPU in my 4x7990 set up. I used the lbr 7+ driver mod, did not work.

For my 4x7990 setup, with Catalyst 15.11 or early, the 8GPU were recognised instantly, there is no need to mod.
May i know What type of mobo you are using to run 8 x GPU ?

I have a few motherboards running 8xGPU. For the 4X7990 = 8 GPU, it will run on many MB. Nothing special.

For the 2X7990+4X7970 or 2X7990+4x390, I use the Asrock H61 pro BTC.

I have the 2X7990+4x390, I use the Asrock H81 pro BTC. But I have to use two power supplies instead of one.

If you under volt the 7990 and 390, you might be able to use one power supply, such as 1250W platinum .

I also think same as there is no reason for bitcoin to be at 400 mark before upcoming halving. Bitcoin price is manipuated by whales right now.

One theory is that the bitcoin is held down by the miners. The miners have already presold the coin they could mine.

Why would the miners want to do that though? I mean, they would benefit if the prices went up, right?

The miners borrow the bitcoin, and sell the bitcoin to lock in the profit. They will return the bitcoin using mining.

So after they have presold the bitcoin and can return the bitcoin to the lender, the bitcoin price does not matter any more.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low Hashrate with R9 380x Ethereum mining on: April 05, 2016, 08:56:19 AM

I am a newbie and do not understand your question. I mine eth on their site and they pay me in Bitcoin. I like that because I do not have a good 32 bit wallet for eth and I do not have to exchange it. They take care of that for me.

You are effectively mining with only three cards, fourth one mines for nicehash. Just saying.

I used to mine with Nicehash to rent my rigs. But the Ethereum mining is not rig renting, it is just a normal pool.
