181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 15, 2016, 08:58:07 AM
There are some countries that have very limited access to bank transfers or paypal. Western Union and Bitcoin are the only viable options for a lot of third world countries.

In a country where access to bank transfer is limited, how are you going to convert your coins to fiat? Do you expect Bitcoin exchanges to function in a country where banks don't exist?
Lol I think it is precisely in all countries of the easiest is to use a bank to transfer money from one city to another. I think bitcoin will help a country if every citizen of the country is to use bitcoin
Bank is a conventional tool which is currently widely used. but in the future, bitcoin will be the main payment instruments. I believe the strength of bitcoin will be make bitcoin in the majority in the world trade market.

Bitcoin will be used by people who have problems to get or to open a bank account due to failures of KYC, espcially when you're not owning any significant, important papers and documents about yourself.
But for that to happen lot's of infrastructure has to be build and people need to have access to cheap smart and feature phones.
This is something what is going to happen in 2-3 years. There are still lots of hurdles we have to overcome.
Countries like India, Souh East Asia, in parts China, some african and south/latin american countries I can see the real first adopters of Bitcoin due to reasons of being underserved.

We can use Venezuela as example, we can see people there using bitcoin to avoid the fiat currency problems caused by the government... And that's the beauty of the bitcoin, there's no government behind it.

The problem with people that don't have how to open an bank account is that they don't have how to exchange easily.

Artigo interessante!

189  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 12, 2016, 04:04:34 AM
In my opnion we will use paper money in the future just for micro payments. Nowadays isn't hard to do it digitally via banks and with bitcoin it's even simpler.

However we need paper money for daily things/micro spends.
190  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: November 12, 2016, 03:59:28 AM
I'm the worst what comes to the monetary management. In fact, one of the reasons why I started to invest in Bitcoin was that I wouldn't put my all earned money to waste anymore. It has been the great success for me and I found that this is the suitable way for me to gain wealth and also earn some extra income through investing and trading.

That's a good one mate.. you already learned how to invest your bitcoins via trading. I'm also not good at managing my money.. I always want to buy anything I want with my money thinking that I can still get my money back because of my salary.. I already have my own family and thinking that I need to invest.. good thing bitcoin was introduced to me by my friend and now I see a lot of opportunities for me to earn aside from my monthly income.

That is a good counter initiative out of your weakness you are able to make a way to fight against it and you make it even more profitable. Different thing with me because many are very disappointed with me when it comes to managing my money, because they are calling me as miser. And I don't care even they call me as that as long as I am able to manage my money properly.

We learn a lot of thing on school but nothing about money and that reflects when we become adults, most of us have no control and just spend more than have and that's why banks and credit cards have a good profit Wink
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Trump presidency may turn out beneficial for Bitcoin long term on: November 12, 2016, 03:54:07 AM
The problem with China is the wages, they pay a low salary and this reflect in the world economy.

I don't think it will reflect in some way in bitcoin, USA isn't a power when you talk about bitcoin.

195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to talk about BTC for friend or Family ?? Have a problem for understand this on: November 12, 2016, 03:23:46 AM
I know how hard is it...

Maybe you can show how you earn some bitcoins(working) and show your wallet, and show how to trade in a exchange for a fiat currency, in this way they will know bitcoin is money. After that you can talk about how the crypto works.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: November 10, 2016, 03:49:32 AM
If at some point bitcoin could reach a price that will allow us to buy a house with it is very likely that the seller will just accept or bitcoin without the necessity to convert it to fiat money, besides you will face less fees.

I think by the time the State establishes a tax on transactions with Bitcoin
I don't see how could a tax on transaction been implemented since you could always be transferring your bitcoin to a different wallet and even if somehow that could be possible you could have your bitcoin in a hardware wallet and then pay whatever you want by giving the wallet itself without any transaction taking place at all.
There's no tax at all until we see it. The thing is when you are buying a house, the payment should be in fiat and there's no problem with that as even when the money is coming from bitcoin you can also sell your bitcoins for fiat.

What we are after here is the legality of the transaction and since only fiat is considered by the law as legal tender then we have to use it to pay and to honor for the deed of sale created.

You have to declare how you got this money, this is a basic thing, to avoid money laundry and things like that.

If you will buy something like that for sure you will be taxed.
197  Local / Primeiros Passos (Iniciantes) / Re: Faucet que vale a pena?! on: November 10, 2016, 12:43:55 AM

199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 08, 2016, 09:51:28 PM
Knowing that bitcoin can be earned for free, with just a internet conection its possible to help some people wich live at poor countries, as long their internet provider has stable acess and low cost as well.

People living in second world countries could earn themselves some coins through signature campaigns, or just by offering their services to the public. But that's different for people living in third world countries. These people mostly don't have enough money for food and stuff. And for that reason, it will be a costly thing to pay for an internet connection while they need that money to feed their family. So no, I don't think Bitcoin will be of much value for them in that aspect.

I think isn't hard to find a celphone with internet connection even in poor countries but I doubt this signature campaigns, faucets or whatever can improve their lifes. If was easy, poverty would not exist. We have to thank for have where to sleep.
200  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: November 08, 2016, 09:47:34 PM

For anyone interested, that thread is essentially about managing an investor's money and earning for them through trading. Personally, I wouldn't trust these so-called "trusted traders" with my money. Such things usually end up in an outright scam sooner or later. Why would anyone want to share their profits if they could just borrow funds in a bank at a substantially lower interest?

If the bank doesn't trust them, why should we?

No bank would ever provide you a loan for the purpose of crypto trading, at best you could just apply for a standard, personal 'consumption' loan secured by your salary.

But you don't even need that, since most of exchanges are now offering margin trading. So if someone claims to be successful in trading, then he could accumulate enough own funds relatively quickly, without asking for crowdfunding.

That's unless they're talking about more advanced stuff, i.e. organising pump & dumps, then it would make more sense. But yeah, I'll stay out of it anyway.

This crowdfunding sounds like giving money to people that are adicted to gamble but they are "gambling" with trade because I think they have no idea what they are doing or looks like "cloud mining" where the scenario is the same, in other words, you will lose money.
