This numbers are speculations or how you got them? more 10 pages of listing on AB, and several vendors coming out helping the market establish around xmr. promoting it. several vendors urging others to use both in the near future. but of course its not an exact amount. however i did check out all the pages and found 10 or 11 pages |

the whale showing off with his 50k ish xmr is a fun guy. everytime he show off with his wealth i buy 50btc out of him and watch him panic and take it off. i sell immediately of course to not be in the price drop. he did that few days ago i bought 48btc, he did it today i bought in 55btc. first time he did it i bought in 80btc. he panics, i sell all i bought immediately and few minutes later he crash the price, i buy low and hold  with 25% vendors listing accepting xmr, over 50k volume already done in alphabay, there is no possible way xmr will fail. some whales can crash the price, but it doesnt matter really, the demand is existant now due to its privacy. hash rate exceeds that of eth even. several known developpers coding for xmr. gui wallet which will enable transaction from xmr to btc thus fulfilling the demand of all vendors. this year looks very promising and i will have to start ordering bitwala card to spend xmr now  |

I've seen a handful of people mentioning the possibility of XMR overtaking BTC. Is this just XMR fever talking, or is there some rational basis for this argument?
I see the odds of XMR overtaking BTC being close to nil. That said, I believe there's a high probability it could be a strong 2nd, overtaking LTC as BTC's "silver".
I generally agree with you. I have said from the beginning that it could be useful to have both a transparent blockchain and this sort of obscured blockchain running side-by-side. Yes there are ways that either coin could fill the shoes of the other but I don't think that is going to happen. I think Monero will be used primarily for wealth storage and private transactions and Bitcoin will be used primarily for transparent transactions and as an open blockchain. One difference between Monero and Litecoin though. Monero is not designed to be cheap. So I could see Moneros top price being a much greater fraction of bitcoin's price and litecoin could ever be. If I'm drunk enough I can even imagine scenarios in which Monero is more valuable than Bitcoin per unit . In this case it wouldn't be Bitcoin silver it would be Bitcoins Platinum. But as to it replacing Bitcoin? There's a lot of reasons that that seems silly to me. +1 |

feels a little dumb for shorting last monday. but still, rebought at 0.015 and still have profits stacked. all good tho i could have made more, its still fine for me.
those who dont need fund urgently, they should keep. those who need funds at quick speed, they should like me keep a few thousand xmr and short the profit only.
xmr is going to rally up to 100$ or something around that amount in a few months to a few years. which is still ok, considering i am talking about it now, where its under 15usd.
be wise. dont put your heart to your coin, instead make quick move and be profitable.
however, in all honesty, there is a long way for xmr to go. the acceptance of the market due to dark net is way too high and lots of vendors/sellers i heard we moving to full xmr.
however the code has not been fully tested like bitcoins has been during the past years.
the biggest fear i have for now is if some exchangers scam for xmr, its going to be butthurt to get the price back up.
so i urge all developper who can code, develop/ build applications over xmr system. make the coin last. as much as you can code, code for xmr. small, big, whatever you can do. start building the economy around it. it will be worth it in a few years.
those who say it wont last, or it will be dead, or its just a pump and dump. just remember the price of bitcoins from its start and whats the price of bitcoins now.
we all one way or another have complained not getting into bitcoins when it was easy to mine, or cheap, some even say 10$ was a good price to buy bitcoins.
