181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 18, 2021, 04:02:09 PM
After all, in Italy it is very difficult for defenders to deal with players like Lukaca, England is ready for a physical fight, so I don't think Lukaku will be able to show the same game as in Italy. In Inter, everyone played for him, but in Chelsea it will not be so, so buying Lukaku was not justified.
Depends on what defenders are playing against Lukaku. Lukaku scored many goals in Serie A but he does not hold an all time record of total goals in one season. If you see the Euro 2020 match between Italy and Belgium, Lukaku is harmless when defenders are Chiellini and Bonucci.

Lukaku has already developed a lot. There is no turning back from now on. So, I also expect him to play like he played at Inter. He should be able to contribute to the team incredibly well. He might even become the top scorer in the EPL at the end of the season.
He improved his skills in Italy and he can shot very well with both legs. The return to Premier League and Chelsea are challenge for Lukaku but I believe he will solve it well. He does not have matter to play in Premier League. If Tuchel put Lukaku into good position and good tactic, he will show his ability and bring many goals to Chelsea.

With support from Jorginho, Kai, Werner, Lukaku will be given many key passes.
Do you think werner and Lukaku will play in the same team? I think Chelsea's formation only allows for one striker and I do not think Lukaku or Werner are good enough to play on the wings. I think Lukaku will be their main striker going into the season and then Werner will be used as a impact substitute because of his pace. Werner might have most success coming on as a substitution because the defenders will be tired and will not be able to make him go offside as easy.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin prolly gets to 100k dollars, will it still remain a legal tender? on: August 18, 2021, 03:58:16 PM
I think if governments wanted to stop the momentum of Bitcoin they would have banned Bitcoin already. They have not reaching $100k will not change their minds on banning it. We will see more taxes I think but Bitcoin should remain legal to use and trade.

No matter how huge the rise of Bitcoin is, it will still be buyable, because no matter how high the price goes, you can always buy BTC depending on how much you'll spend your budget for it, again, it'll just become much more expensive since the price goes up, @mk4 answered all of your questions and I'm just here to drop my two cents about Bitcoin's price going up to a point that it cannot be bought.
I think like you but I do think that Bitcoin will be harder to buy without KYC in the future because the governments will tighten their restrictions and regulations.
183  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: August 18, 2021, 03:56:03 PM
I think it would be useful to include in the post how much interest each bank offers. I took a look at some of the banks listed and they are offering 0 interest on money held in their banks. I think it would be good if you include weather the bank accounts are secured by the government in case they go bankrupt to.
184  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roobet is scam on: August 18, 2021, 03:54:11 PM
I think gambling companies have to prevent people from countries which they are not allowed to operate in from registering and using their platform. If you never used a VPN then you might have a legit case. The only way you are going to get money from them is talking to them and explaining that but if they still refuse you would need to contact a lawyer but unless it is a lot of money on the platform then it probably will cost more to hire a lawyer.
185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Abortion should be banned. on: August 18, 2021, 03:47:11 PM
Abortion can never be a good thing to do. I understand that that some women get rapes and if it leads to them getting pregnant, they consider abortion as the only option. But there are disadvantages of abortion which involves damage of the womb, it can even lead to death. Although, is illegal, but many pregnant women who are not ready to have a baby still terminates their pregnancies.
I do no think it causes damage to the womb but if it does I think it is down to the person having the abortion weather they accept that they could damage the womb. Not every one wants children and the womb is not essential if you do not want children and if it is your womb and you do not care if you damage it because you do not want to use it why should that stop them from having a abortion?
186  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Afghanistan fall into a prolonged state of war again? on: August 18, 2021, 03:44:58 PM
As the United States accelerates its withdrawal from Afghanistan, the withdrawal of the United States has exacerbated the imbalance of Afghanistan's internal power. At present, Afghanistan will fall into a situation of prolonged or normalized civil war.I also saw the video about the airport. Those people wanted to catch American planes. That scene deeply touched me. Human lives are so small and humble in the war. This is terrible.
The civil war has been on going the last 20 years and the country is at the moment more stable than it was the past 20 years. atm there is no war the taliban have seized control now we have to wait how the world reacts and whether there will be new attacks on the new government in Afghanistan. Biden has said he will not be going back to war I think the war is over and the people of Afghanistan could suffer if the new rulers are what the western media has been portraying them as.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme/NFT investment really worth the hype they're getting?. on: August 18, 2021, 03:41:47 PM
Memecoins are not to be taken seriously and I think they are projected to fail. Doge only lasted this long because it has been endorsed and advertised by high profile people but I think this is because they are trolling instead of believing that Doge is worth investing into. NFTS are hyped right now I like to compare them to the ICO craze back in 2017. They were all the talk back then but now people know that they are worthless and many projects have failed.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish scam? on: August 18, 2021, 03:39:06 PM
Some scams are obvious and some scams are not intended to be scams until the project fails. There is no way to predict whether legitimate projects will fail and end up scamming its members. The ones which are clear scams usually do not put much effort into their websites or plagiarize. Before investing in any project I recommend running their whitepaper through a plagiarism checker and see if there are any matches. If there is a match then they are probably not a legitimate project and will try to scam.
189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Regulation is needed likewise the law involvement on: August 18, 2021, 03:34:29 PM
We do not want to get rid of government we want to reform into something better. The current government is not suited the government is only in power to serve the people but they are exploiting their people. That is the problem once we remove the current governments then we can reform into something better and more fair. Bitcoin might allow people to break away from the methods that the government use to control them. Governments regulating Bitcoin is a good thing atm because it brings legitimacy to Bitcoin.
190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who's been buying recently? on: August 18, 2021, 03:32:36 PM
bitcoin is on the line of imbalance between buyers and sellers, where there are more sellers than buyers in the past two days. but previously bitcoin was pumped at $47k and now it's back at $45k. from some information from analysts that bitcoin is at an unstable stage or is weakening. This condition is influenced by several country rumors lately, so it can trigger panic selling from amateur investors.
Bitcoin whales are accumulating more Bitcoin but this is making Bitcoin price go down. I do not know the reason but I would guess that people are anticipating them dumping some of their newly acquired coins.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some individuals hostile to Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2021, 03:28:47 PM
The bankers are concerned that the growth rate of the crypto market will have a serious impact on their operations. Banks seem to be battling cryptocurrencies to slow their growth rate. Many banks have recently banned their customers from buying cryptocurrencies with their credit cards. This is an important step to slow down the growth of the crypto market. The reason is that they are afraid of competition.
I have not seen many banks being hostile to Bitcoin I have see banks saying that they will accept Bitcoin and allow cryptocurrency transactions using their bank accounts. I think banks being hostile to Bitcoin is a myth. There are banks which do not allow cryptocurrency transfers but I think this is because of safety of their customers and not because Bitcoin is a threat to them.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WALMART is hiring a cryptocurrency product lead ! on: August 18, 2021, 03:26:22 PM
This does not mean that Walmart are planning on accepting Bitcoin but as a company they could be looking to invest capital into Bitcoin. I hope that giants like Walmart do accept Bitcoin in the future because that would help adoption but I am not getting my hopes up until they accept it and continue accepting it for a couple of years.

Every large company has a research department. Samsung, Hyundai, Apple, Microsoft, Google have dozens of blockchain patents that have been registered for intellectual property. So I do not doubt that Walmart is looking for experts to research blockchain technology to apply to its company.
Blockchain will help them manage their supply chains more efficiently.
Blockchain adoption is trending and I believe it's right.
I think it is for investing into Bitcoin and not accepting Bitcoin in their stores.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption and increase in crime rate, how correlated are they?. on: August 18, 2021, 03:24:53 PM
It makes more sense to use fiat which is not traceable than Bitcoin which has a public blockchain that any one can track your transactions for use with crime. Bitcoin does get used for crime like any other currency but I do not think it increases the amount of crime. I think there is less crime using Bitcoin than using fiat currencies. I think there was a saying going around that every note in circulation in the USA has been touched by cocaine I do not know if that was a myth or if it is the truth but if it is the truth then it is clear to me that Bitcoin does not have the same drug problem that the US dollar does.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin as a local currency! on: August 18, 2021, 03:21:56 PM
The only countries which I see using Bitcoin as a local currency would be under developed countries but these countries cannot afford the fees included when sending Bitcoin and it would be cheaper to use cash or fiat. I do not think Bitcoin is a good use case for local populations.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin called “Bitcoin”? on: August 18, 2021, 03:20:46 PM
Had Satoshi named it differently, Bitcoin would probably still be enjoying the success it has today, provided it won't be given too nuisance a name as BoobCoin or BeiberCoin. Bitcoin got its success from its features.

Anyway, how could you even "never go back to the society built by centralized legal tender" when you are living in it?

Finally, Bitcoin is only successful because it is beneficial for human use. It was meant to be a tool for humans to make use of. Other than that, it couldn't have been created even.

Yes, Bitcoin is successful because it is good for mankind. It becomes a tool used by humans. Here, I emphasize that why Satoshi Nakamoto named Bitcoin as Bitcoin, mainly because of the word bit. This is the basic unit of computer language. Therefore, Bitcoin belongs to the currency of computer civilization, that is to say, the currency used by artificial intelligence in the future. This is also a prediction and enjoyment of the future.
I do not think that Satoshi named it Bitcoin because he thinks AI will use it in the future. If everyone predicting AI will be more intelligent than us they would do away with the concept of money and not use it but that is another topic. Satoshi probably named Bitcoin because of bits in computers I do not think there was any other reason and I do not think it means a lot why he named it Bitcoin.
196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to avoid cryptocurrency transaction Error. on: August 18, 2021, 03:16:24 PM
Most software alerts you where you are sending your funds, the fees that you included and how much Bitcoin. You need to use this alert to double/triple check the outputs and fees. Many people send to much in fees and could pay less but wallet software usually makes the fees higher than the current average fee on the blockchain. I do not know why they are doing this it might be intentional to stop people complaining about transactions taking to long. The address you need to check either letter by letter or use neuroticfish's suggestion to check a number of characters at the start, middle and end.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 18, 2021, 03:12:53 PM
I hold bitcoin directly, as well as put some in my retirement accounts (that don't hold bitcoin, but an ETF that claims to hold bitcoin.) If you were an institutional investor, you can't really go wrong with the funds. And if you are an individual investor, you can't go wrong with putting a little bit into your retirement accounts too. It's still best to hold bitcoin directly / physically / private keys, but a lot of people either have difficulty with that or don't understand enough to do it safely.
I agree being your own bank can be tricky and cause a lot of people to panic lose their funds but this is made easier with the hardware wallets you can get. It does not protect from sending to scammers but it does protect from most software attacks and physical theft.
198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 18, 2021, 02:53:56 PM
The leading mortgage lender in the U.S., United Whole Mortgages, has announced a plan to accept bitcoin payments.

https://beincrypto.com/united-wholesale-mortgage-accept-bitcoin-payments/
This is good news. Now we can avoid fees if you wanted to get a mortgage by transferring Bitcoin to fiat and then getting a mortgage. Are we expecting a change in price because of this announcement?

Do you guys really think people will use their BTC to pay for cinema halls, paying their Mortgages and shit? No fucking way.
I think it is great for mortgages. If you have most of your money in Bitcoin then it makes sense to me to use the Bitcoin to avoid unnecessary fees of converting that Bitcoin to fiat if you were planning on getting a house any way. Not everyone is privileged to have the home that they want to live in permanently and will be forced to sell their Bitcoin if they want to upgrade.

Plan B
@100trillionUSD
IMO we are going up, first to 100k, then 288k
https://twitter.com/100trillionusd/status/1427707790810914827?s=21
Let me understand is he predicting that we will go to 100k then 288k in 1 cycle or 2? Both sound like bullshit I am not sure how he came to those numbers so soon but I guess it is trying to gain fame and more followers instead of delivering accurate or reasonable predictions.

Your account is a 2016 registration. You should know that honeybadger is more than capable of minimum x 2 in price on a very short timescale.

Do you not remember Q3 & Q4 of 2017?

$100,000 is quite likely this year imo.
I have predicted a couple of posts up that we will reach $250k in 10 years not out of anything that I can back it up with but because of my personal optimism which was based on the years before that we had big unexpected bull runs. My opinion differs from you after listening to what JJG said but I did predict 100k in 5 years which I will keep that prediction. I think 100k and then 288k in the same cycle is bullshit not that he has predicted that Bitcoin will get to 100k or 288k I doubt that it would get between them numbers in 2 cycles. If I am proven wrong I will be happy about it as we will all make a lot of money but has JJG says this is not likely to happen.

I have not followed this PlanB guy before? Is he good at predictions? Maybe I am the idiot for doubting him.

Don't listen to JJG too much right now, he's basically mid term bearish but long term bull  Tongue

Once new ATH comes he'll change his tune, I'm sure of it  Cool

We're going UP. I'm 90% sure now. JJG knocked 5% off me.
JJG has got a lot more experience than me and has good reasoning to his predictions. I hope that he is wrong but I can see that it probably is more realism than my predictions. I can not pretend that I understand all the charts that you guys post but JJG puts those charts into words which helps people like me. I would be silly not to listen a little to people more experienced than me in studying charts.

I would not recommend changing your DNS settings to Google or Cloudflare. Google might have the fastest DNS settings but at a cost of privacy.
I have not given much thought to this problem, but I think if given a choice between Cloudflare and Google, I would rather opt for Cloudflare. The performance might be slightly better with Google's DNS settings but they will be tracking you, advertising to you like crazy, and you are just giving them more of your data to sell.
No Cloudflare cannot be trusted more than Google. Google track you that we know but CloudFlare CEO has said that they have data that is very valuable and recieved calls off the homeland security about how valuable it is.

https://web.archive.org/web/20170217121944/http://www.law.uchicago.edu/alumni/accoladesandachievements/matthew-prince-00-discusses-cloudflare-cloud-computing-journal

If you use a DNS that you do not know for sure if it is safe then the provider of that DNS can see every url that you visit. The Homeland security has said how valuable but information is and CloudFlare provides services to most websites in the world. Them and Google are the people that you should be avoiding giving your information even if they say they care about your privacy. For any one who does not know or want to read that interview it was done by chiago college and was interviewing the CEO of Cloudflare were he talks about being in contact with the Homeland security about how valuable the data Cloudflare has and how they could make money from it.
