181  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 02, 2015, 10:42:48 PM
Like what Warren Buffet said, "Never depend on single income. Make investment to create a second source," but he also said “Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving.”

So, if you have a limited amount of money, then save for some time until you have enough excess money that you have enough to sustain yourself and enough to spend. Take that excess money and invest it in good places so that your wealth will grow. I would consult a good investment banker about investment opportunities as it is their job to make sure your money grows. If you invest the money you live on, you might lose it and fall into debt.
182  Economy / Digital goods / Re: wtb hero member on: May 02, 2015, 07:20:13 PM
You would be lucky if you could find a Hero member account for 0.6btcs, and you want 0.4? Heck, if anyone's willing to sell you a Hero for 0.4, I'll pay 0.45 for it Wink

Like the others have said, a more appropriate price would be 0.8-1.0 btc.
183  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Make 5$ per day with your phone to call landlines on: May 02, 2015, 07:18:18 PM
Sounds like coinbycall.

Finland was (probably still is) the highest paying for a while. You can call with any phone, but you are most likely violating the ToS of your phone provider and risk getting charged a high fee. The guide would probably include some sort of Android App that can redial automatically.

You just revealed his exact method without paying a dime. You must be devastating for scammer's business' Wink. But the method itself looks so inefficient? I mean you have to call a number in Germany for 77 hours just to get euros. It's not worth the hassle, I don't think.

bought trying it

A newbie account vouching for a scam? Wow, haven't seen that before...
184  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 1-year Private Internet Access Subscription [$20] on: May 02, 2015, 07:10:49 PM
Just curious, Why are you giving something priced at 40$ for half price?

The reason is very complex Sir.

Okay, if the reason is complex, tell me how you are able to provide 50% off? Can we use our own details? Do you provide a warranty?

How do I know if I give you 20$ it won't stop working in 3 months?

188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ecuador to create own digital currency. on: August 31, 2014, 08:14:43 PM
I'm very much looking forward to seeing what people have to say about the coin once the source code is available or is something like that not to be expected?  I feel the open source model should at very least be accepted for a project like this to accepted.

I doubt the database + source code will be open for review to everyone. Just another paypal centralized solution. And Ecuador is so poor country, most dont have access to internet - so physical currency is necessary as well.
189  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: August 06, 2014, 10:07:26 PM
Scrypt ASIC is very risky investment imo, these coins are not as usefull as Bitcoin because hardly anyone using it and almost no merchant support. So you need hope the Scrypt altcoin price does not crash before you mine enought to be at least break even. The altcoin price is only backed by speculation imo, not real usage of the coins
190  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-23] Top-down digital currency coming to Ecuador with ban on competition on: July 25, 2014, 08:19:24 AM
So how much different this USD centralized virtual currency will be from credit cards Huh
191  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-23] YAHOO: Angry Bitcoin investors demand answers at Tokyo on: July 25, 2014, 08:01:25 AM
I doubt these protests can lead to anything, Unless someone is caught with the coins which is unlikely with the nature of bitcoin/mixing. This also give excuses to agencies and governments to demand regulation for BTC.

A lot of USD deposits missing as well, obvious scam. It is the same as if I run online shop and used the customer money after their order for my expences and not delivering the ordered goods.

Heard this joke today: Family is having a breakfast and the older daughter starts: "It's time, I told everybody, I'm lesbian"
Younger daughter: "yeah, me too"
Father: "do you mean to tell me no one in the family likes good old dick?"
Son: "I do, Dad."
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: May 16, 2014, 02:22:35 PM
with infinite money(not much money), no matter how much you lose, you'll always have more money. I think it is mathematically impossible lose infinite times( not billions or trillions of times, but infinite). It is more like a mathematical concept

It is possible to loose infinite times, never discard any possibility. I like to use: with infinite money and infinite time you can play martingale forever, but at any random point in time you are more likely to be loosing than winning (with casino edge)
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: gambling the biggest risk for bitcoin businesses on: May 06, 2014, 01:46:20 PM
restrictions on online gambling is almost completely unenforceable now with TOR and bitcoin.
It is very easy for the individual to side step the regulations.

.com .org .eu domains can be seized anytime.
How many use decentralized Namecoin domain ? I know it is not necessary now but better be prepared and explain advantages and how to enable these domains in your browser...

199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reversable transactions on: December 28, 2013, 01:18:21 AM
But people make legitimate mistakes, what if grandma accidentally presses the wrong key because her glasses has a bit of much on it or her hand shakes a little. We do have a social responsibility to make things fair to everyone. I've been in IT for 28 years and I still make mistakes. In trading they have the "Fat finger" when a trader accidentally presses the wrong key, they still can reverse and fix it.  Whatever coin can solve this dilemma will end up the winner.

Bitcoin address has check code, if you mistype one or more characters, it will be invalid Bitcoin address and you cant send Bitcoins to invalid Bitcoin address
200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pool luck explained? on: December 21, 2013, 10:31:47 AM
Can someone explain what luck is in relation to pool mining. I'm trying to work out PPS vs. PPLNS rewarding. Seems PPLNS is slightly more rewarding in the long run, but only as long as the pool luck is high?

It is only more rewarding because PPLNS has lower pool fees.
So in the long run, you will mine more at PPLNS
