181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming EOS with Metamask on: July 03, 2017, 03:01:43 AM
I only know of the Telegram channel https://t.me/EOSproject

I don't know how safe is metamask, but in the back of my mind there is always the thought that a small chance always exists(lets say 1-2%) that something will go awfully wrong and I will loose everything in this or in any other wallet.

182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming EOS with Metamask on: July 02, 2017, 07:14:48 PM

3) Go on https://www.eos.io/distribution/ and redeem the EOS. Will the EOS be in my Metamask wallet?
4) I can now send my EOS on exchanges and sell them? If I do sell the EOS before the last ICO (2018) I am good (dont need public key)? What is confusing me is the public key thing.

3) After claiming my EOS using MetaMask, I had to click the "Tokens" tab and click the "+" sign and add the EOS token info in order for my EOS to appear in my wallet.

Token Address: 0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0
Decimals: 18
Symbol: EOS
Name: EOS
You can find the above info by scrolling down here... https://eos.io/instructions

4) Yes and Yes.  With the Public Key registration(as I understand it) you are reserving a wallet/address in the EOS blockchain. When the time comes, your Ethereum wallet will be your ticket to your "reserved seat"/wallet/address. Write down/backup your EOS registered public and private key as well as your ethereum wallet and password.

I do not understand why the EOS token is yet already traded on Kraken at a better price than the period #0 (roughly around 1$ depending on the ETH price you take).

It doesn't make much sense for someone that just bought at $0.91 to sell for any less, most people are holding and those that sell choose to sell for a good profit because of the potential of EOS imo.

Hi,
I just wanted to know when using the EOS token distribution APP on the website. I see that I can choose which period to put ether in. Does that mean I can put ether in a different period and I will receive tokens when that period is closed? If so can I go ahead and put ether into that period right now or do I have to wait for that period to begin. I'm confused because there is a drop down box in the contribution period section. Can someone help me clarify this. Thank you.

-Kevin

You can put ether in any period you want and you can claim your tokens after this period closes.

Btw a lot of conversation, questions and answers in telegram channel

Scammy links above, stay away from those links guys, it's better to wait a few days and buy from an exchange than to get scammed from scammers in "newbie accounts"

SCAM ALERT!

Ridik007 might be a scammer, his "link" redirects you to a different site and to a different Ethereum address

BitShares invented DPoS. you don't get paid to vote.

Παρεμπιπτόντως μια ερώτηση: Όσοι λαμβάνετε εμβάσματα από ανταλλακτήρια, μήπως προσέξατε με τι αιτιολογία έρχονται;

Παράδειγμα απο το Kraken.

...rich get richer and poor stay poor. It doesn't have any benefit for newcomers.

"rich" and "poor" have nothing to do with the quality of the content you write or the number of followers you have, if you think that you can just sign up and money will start to flow with no effort you got it wrong.

Ι figured it was because I was holding some bitusd and I know that can mess with bitusd value.

Somewhat I mised this part but this is true, If you hold bitUSD and the bts price rises then you will see your total value of your bitUSD in bts terms to decline, on the other hand if the bts price goes down you will see an "increased value" of your bitUSD

Sorry to put my personal question on here but this is about the decentralized exchange/wallet. The total value of my wallet was 33,000 BTS and that number included 360 LSK I had. I then sold the LSK for 9 bts/lsk which was very close to fair market value. Now the total wallet value is 30,000 BTS. What the heck! How did $1000 of value (3,000 BTS) just vanish? I don't see high fees or where that value went. This isnt the first time I've noticed these drops. I figured it was because I was holding some bitusd and I know that can mess with bitusd value. But Im not holding much of anything else. Anyone have ideas??? Or experienced similar?

I would't pay much attention to it, if any at all. It's just an estimation and usually it's wrong, liquidity is low in most markets and this imo contributes to the "wrong estimates"

Maybe your new total wallet value had nothing to do with Lisk, some other swing in price of another asset you hold might be the cause. In any any case I would not rely on this evaluation.

Πλησιάζει η μάχη των Λεύκτρων για το btc....  Grin

The end is near...  Grin

Πέρα απο την πλάκα πάντως, ότι "παράτησε" μέχρι στιγμής είναι "state of the art" κατα τη γνώμη μου.
