So I downloaded the agama wallet and stored some Komodo in it. I can see the tab in the middle says "Interest Earned". Question is how do I make my coins earn interest? IS there a button for staking?

Here's all you need to do: https://support.supernet.org/support/solutions/articles/29000011838-how-to-claim-your-interest

Where can I safely download the KMD wallet for windows? Anybody know?

https://supernet.org/en/products/agama-wallet

Yep, this confuses the hell out of me as well.

With all the different versions out ,different websites out AND the github account does not say jl777 but some other individual I dont recognize, flamingice?. -Id once again say we need a master FAQ to refer to.

I go back and forth, is this project genius or one hell of a mess?, you decide. The same questions keep getting asked over and over and over again, why is that?

We got 10 diff versions and none completely work(from the scroll down part of github not the pinned part). And no explanation of which are the most recent ones and which work properly.

We got a website that wont allow swaps cause its broke but smart addresses on chain. (Wish the smartaddesses worked to just deposit btcd and automatically convert to  Kmd )

We got working command line but no instructions on how to use it, sorry jl777 my uplink to your brain doesnt seem to function. (I know you dont do gui, but you got some serious smarts, why cant you learn to make the super ugly gui?)

things that Id like to know. Current working versions. Which versions steal the interest. What the hell is the ugly gui, screenshots of that. Instructions for command line .  Etc etc

But thanks for the progress so far atleast I know things will eventually get there.

We have two wallets for Komodo and both of them are available on both of our websites:
 - komodoplatform.com
 - supernet.org

Both of them will correctly reset the interest.

We are building technical FAQ and documentation here: http://wiki.supernet.org/wiki/Main_Page
We have centered our guides and troubleshooting material here: support.supernet.org

Perhaps those are not properly linked and people are not aware of them. Well, at least the wiki documentation is not ready yet - we are working on it.

What are the questions that are unclear or unanswered? I'm sure there's a lot to do still, all input is appreciated.

We created a new bitcointalk thread too, that should have all the major links related to Komodo. Now that I look at it I see it doesn't mention the 5 % APR interest, we can add that. Anything else?

The wallets are linked, listed and explained there as well, I'm not sure howcome it can be unclear.

I have been reading about Komodo and I'm curious to hear anyone's answer to this

If you were explaining Komodo to a new user, who has a basic understanding of crypto but knows nothing of Komodo

How would you explain it to them?

And

Why should they choose Komodo over say BTC, ETH, or ZEC

We explained Komodo it in the updated bitcointalk thread. Check it out and let us know if it is clear and how it could be improved.

We are in the process of building everything up, so from the user's perspective bitcoins have more usability than KMD (or any other cryptocurrency). But, already excellent privacy can be achieved through Jumblr, so there's a usecase already. No GUI yet though.

can you give us a short update about the GUI status/process? Many thanks

We are actively looking for talented devs and other solutions that would boost up the development process. Here's what we are doing:

1. We are in contact with a third party company would do a code review and might help us afterwards too. They can help us to make better decisions.
2. We have a new strategy to find quality devs through face to face meetings and networking. Few of our team members will be spending time in Barcelona.
3. Our platform's potential is so wide that we cannot make all the GUI's in-house. We are going to get into contact with certain established companies or young teams that we would encourage to build a certain DAPP or APP. It's all open source, and anyone could develop a GUI for something.
4. Documentation: our team members have been doing documentation so that new GUI devs can get up to speed quickly. Of course also third party developers need quality documentation to use our platform.
5. Quality Design - our marketing team is getting  involved with the GUI design aspects. They will be further designing the Agama Wallet Brand.

I asked the same question on the BTCD forum so wanted to double check - If I buy BTCD today, can this be swapped for Komodo going forward when the website is back up and running?

Yes, you can swap it right away when the ICO site is up.

Long term holder here. I still have my 12 word seed from the ICO page when it was up. And my KMD address.

Was just checking my KMD address on the block explorer to see what my balance is. Just out of curiosity and to make sure I didn't miss any important developments.

It showed a balance of 0. No transactions made from that address.

Any idea what's up?

Yes, you will need to request a payout and then we send the funds to your KMD address.

The payout is there because we need to make sure that everyone has the correct seed saved. You need to confirm your seed by typing it during the payout request.

Here's a guide: https://support.supernet.org/support/solutions/articles/29000013147-how-to-request-a-kmd-payout-from-the-ico-site

Note that the ICO site is currently under maintenance.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET NXT asset 12071612744977229797, SUPERNET KMD assetchain in summer on: July 25, 2017, 04:42:23 PM
Hi I was just curious, is this asset traded on Bittrex?

Also what is the advantage to holding this asset over KMD?

Currently it's only trading in NXT Asset Exchange.

SuperNET is not a coin, and so it has no technical function. It's a token that will get revenue shares from the platform we are building.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET NXT asset 12071612744977229797, SUPERNET KMD assetchain in summer on: July 23, 2017, 07:22:51 PM
Hi,

I have a question regarding the asset handling. So currently they are tradeable on the NXT platform/chain. Soon the Ignis/Ardor chain will come to live and I was wondering what will happen with the SuperNet assets?

I read on the last pages that it is planned to move them to their own blockchain (or the komodo one?). When and how will this take place? Is there any action required by the shareholders?

Yes, they will move to their own assetchains (blockchains).

There's no date yet for it. They will stay in NXT until the assetchain import happens.

We will announce what must be done when we make the announcement.

What will Supernet Token be used for in future ?

And can i send Supernet Tokens i buy on NXT Exchange to my Agama wallet ?

The SuperNET token doesn't have a technical use. It is just a token for a decentralized organization that will get some revenue share from the platform.

You cannot send NXT tokens to Agama Wallet. The SuperNET assets will be later imported into their own assetchains though.

Any updates on Ledger interest bug fix?

Also, any plans to either update the Ledger wallet to be able to transfer assets (like Jumblr) or better yet create a fully functional light wallet like MyEtherWallet.com that can interact with Ledger?

Thanks, very interested in this project.

I think many people want to know this, myself included

Our developer has to help them with that. However, there are currently higher priority tasks going on (such as our ICO site). It's impossible to give any time estimation at this point.

Do you know "where" the 5% are taken from ?  The more I stack the more i should return interest right ?

They are new coins, generated not taken from anywhere. The more you stack the more coins you will receive though the rate remains the same.  To get slightly more than the 5% redeem your interest often to take advantage of cumulative compounding.

Is this the process of "staking" or "minting"? does Komodo use PoS?

It's a innovation of Komodo. You gain these rewards all the time, and it doesn't create blockchain bloat.

Komodo is PoW (equihash), and it has dPoW consensus built on top of it.

Thanks for info...does it mean these rewards come from the same pool of 200M KMD? Is it a percent of amount of KMD we keep in the wallet?

Yes, the reward will last until we reach the 200M supply cap (in about 14 years).

I have been waiting for over a month now to be able to swap my BTCD coins for KMD... the swap instructions seemed to have vanished from the site

I'm getting nervous that I won't be able to swap. Does anyone know if the devs abandoned this or if I can do this now?

As I see it, nothing has been abandoned. As previously stated by JL777, you will be able to swap until January 2018. Relax and give em time...

Yes, the ICO site will be back online as soon as we are able to fix the underlying problems.

In addition to the initial problem we found some security issues that we need to fix.

We are dealing with people's money here, and thus we decided to go the secure route and the process is very slow as a few people have to check all the changes.

Hi everyone!
It's a Zcash fork?

Hi,

Yes it is. We are building a platform, and the Zcash gave us the best privacy.

For example, we built a privacy protector Jumblr. It further increases the privacy by forcing the balance to go through a z-address in fixed quantities, e.g. 10 KMD or 100 KMD. Everyone is also doing it at the same time.

Right now we have 10 servers doing Jumblr, which alone gives us the best privacy solution on the entire industry. The more people start using it, the better it becomes.

We don't have GUI support yet though (for Jumblr).

Any news on the progress of https://ico.komodoplatform.com/ ?

We are working on it

I don't want to download wallet before I know if exchange really works. Does it work?

There's no GUI support for the decentralized exchange yet. The current trading is done through the command line.

it works also in any mode using agama ?

Yes, that is correct.

ICO Site Delays

We are waiting for authentication keys from a 3rd party - nothing we can do until we get those keys. This is also a security issue. The website will be working after our security expert gets those keys and makes the necessary changes.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Question about the timing for BTCD to KMD swap.  I sent a lot of BTCD to the ICO address this month but havent been able to submit them due to a pending transaction from last month.  When will I have these new lot of KMD available for me to use?  Also, will I receive the swapped KMD in time for the Jumblr asset?

You will get them as soon as we proceed with the manual payout. They are done monthly.

I'm trying to receive my REVS but I am not seeing them show up after I import my private BTCD key into agama. I search the REVS Explorer with my public key and I can see I have REVS there, so then I open my BTCD qt wallet and go to the console and type dumpprivkey mypublickey
the console spits out the private key, I take that and import into my agama wallet from settings > import key. I get a message that pops up stating that the import was successful, I add REVS to the wallet but REVS balance is zero.

Is this the correct process? Is there a step that I'm missing?

Thanks

Sounds right. It must be an issue with the basilisk server. They were down for maintenance a day or two ago, you could retry.
