181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new here, give me some tips! on: November 11, 2017, 04:22:48 PM
Hi guys! i am new here but i want to know how to earn bitcoin. can any body help me by giving me some tips?

You can earn Bitcoin of course if someone is willing to pay Bitcoin to you, just go to Economy>Marketplace>Services section and you will see alot of people there that will give you a chance to earn your very first fraction of a Bitcoins or satoshis.

No one beats self study though so it is better to search and teach yourself with different ways in earning Bitcoins just be safe to those scammers and ponzi schemes.
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks offering only 1.3% interest rates for Savings Account on: November 10, 2017, 11:13:27 PM
I went to my bank today to change money to foreign currency because I will be traveling abroad soon. I asked the lady what are the current annual interest rates if you decide to give your money to bank for certain period of time without being able to withdraw that money (Savings Account).
She said proudly that zhe interest rate is 1.3% which is the highest in the country. I was holding my laugh and smiled kindly to her and I said that even 1.3% is not enough for me.
What do you guys think? I think 1.3% per year is a joke. Money can lose that much value in one year so you didn't actually profit at all. What kind of interets rates do you get at your banks?

Yes it is true even you think that is a joke as a Bank will not be loser at all cost, it is just like you fool yourself to give them your money that you can't get anytime you want and yet it is losing value overtime because of inflation, most of the people that wants to save money do that kind of thing because they think that they can really benefit from it but it's the reverse.

Bitcoin is much more better for investment compare to the Banks that the only intention is to consume the money of people that trust them because of so many hidden charges and fees.
183  Other / Meta / Re: Jr.Member demoted to Newbie on: November 10, 2017, 11:04:49 PM
Here is the simple explanation from me as I already experienced that scenario before.

There is time frame here that you can look to when does the new round of 14 activities activates https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1012758442

It is true that you will lost number of post/posts with your account if the moderator deleted some of your old post/posts and eventually may result to de-ranking but the other case is that if you only posted 1 post within a 'new 14 days timeframe' and that 1 post was deleted then you will not eligible for that 14 activities anymore because not posting a single post with a 'new 14 days timeframe' is considered idle and that's why you can see most of the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 year registered members with a lower rank. The only solution here is that you must post at least 1 strong content in that '14 days timeframe' to avoid roll back in your rank and a wasted 14 activities.
184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will the number of bitcoins increase in the future? on: November 10, 2017, 10:43:19 PM
We know that a country's currency should stay stable, but all the countries can print money when it needs to increase money supply. So will the number of bitcoins increase in the future?

That's one of the main difference of Bitcoin from Fiat currency, it is fixed to 21 million coins. Since the existence of Bitcoin it is the trademark of it so changing it or increasing it is so pointless because it will destroy its own identity and a big impact to trust issue will arise to its users.

Maybe in the future if Bitcoin will really increase so high maybe the fraction of a Bitcoin or the decimal places of it from 8 will become 9, and a single satoshi will have a milisatoshi.
185  Other / Meta / Re: Innocent post deleted, I wonder why? on: November 09, 2017, 10:52:14 PM
I inquired in this 2015 thread whether anything came out of the OP's site idea.
The post was deleted. Any idea why?

Just always take in mind that when you posted in this kind of topic/section there are always moderators that will look every post that has been made in and if they think in their very own discretion that it is not valuable at all then they will delete it right away, they will message you though if they done that.

186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help to recognize if a scamer is talking to you on: November 09, 2017, 10:49:29 PM
•Did you got scammed in the past or just recently?

•Can you give an idea how did you got to give a money to a person or a company personal that turned out to be a scammer?

•Or you cant indentify beacuse good communication skill and promising talk?

Please do share yours it will be a great help and share ideas and opinions.

I got scammed before I will tell you honestly but I think it more of a risk because I know that what am I doing is a gamble because I payed him first without any assurance or collateral in return and that is bad though.

For me people are getting scam easily because they trust too much in the one who they transacting with, in this digital world we can't really see them physically yet we can communicate with them so with that they can promise whatever they want just to get your trust.

For as long as someone is telling you different things in exchange of your money and you will not get anything in return with that deal then that's is a scam most of the time. You can always background check though it is free.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin considered to be a security? on: November 09, 2017, 10:17:05 PM
I would like to whether bitcoin is equivalent to any security in terms of investment? If yes. How it could be considered as a security? What are the measures? What are the main drawbacks of a bitcoin?

Bitcoin for me is an international digital currency that is serving the whole world for the better good so it acts a money in the internet for a better understanding but sad to say Bitcoin status for some people now are more of an asset more than a currency because it is much more worth it to hold it for a long term that to spend it just like a normal money in the real world.

Everything has its advantage and disadvantage though, Bitcoin is not perfect but it makes the digital world convenient in transacting payments.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mother is 70 ... on: November 09, 2017, 10:09:34 PM
At least your mother trust you with her $30 worth of money instead of nothing so for me it is a positive thing though but we all know that in investing we need a good amount of money to get a good amount in return, just like the saying that 'the higher the risk the greater the return', your mother wants you to do what you want to do with that money because she wants you to practice your mother and son relationship trust with money and that's good thing.

Maybe she knew that bitcoin was less than $1 before and thinks that it will happen again, the massive growth of it. $30 is so small for now with Bitcoin but it is an investment no matter what. I really don't know what is getting mainstream in Bitcoin all about because $7,000 value is so big now for any other currencies that is available in the world.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: November 09, 2017, 10:03:55 PM
Advertising on tv is certainly a very expensive cost and most of us ignore ads, I think advertising on the internet is better than advertising on tv, for example is google adsense is managed with a professional.

Actually Bitcoin doesn't need any advertising in all forms because it is a currency that is being use to buy and sell goods and services online so what is the point of advertising it and it decentralize cryptocurrency meaning no one really regulates it so what is the essence of advertising it. It is not a product that need to sell off in any country to get a revenue though.

Bitcoin will grow no matter what as it is widely use now so advertising it will not be needed, people who uses it as a payment in their wants can considered advertising because they are making a positive move on it that will result for the growth of it.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit 2x Cancelled - Bullish Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash (Crypto Times #20) on: November 09, 2017, 01:40:26 AM
With the Segwit2x cancellation it stabilize the tension to all Bitcoin communities and the developers think that it will not go through even if it reaches the said schedule on November 16 as they prioritize the unity of an one blockchain instead of making a two separate blockchain that will be resulted to the partitioning of the Bitcoin community, once again Bitcoin is one and there is no future split that will happen and SegWit will stay for the mean time.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Exchange Listings on: November 08, 2017, 11:37:36 PM
Hello,

I am rather experienced with investing in Alt cryptocurrencies, but I am looking to get into investing in ICOs. I have some questions:

1. Assuming the ICO that I have invested in is trustworthy, honest, and has done everything by the book, how long in advance do they announce their listing on an exchange? Do they give advanced notice for investors to prepare for trading?

2. How long is the average time between receiving tokens from the ICO and the listing on the exchange?

3. Is there a website that ranks ICOs by different categories, such as team, tech, and potential, etc.?

Those are my questions for now. Please, do your best to answer and don't sugar coat if you can.

Thank you!

1. All of the trustworth ICOs will be transparent in telling their investors to when will be the exact date or potential date of listing in their desired exchanges and they will surely notice you by any means of your contacts that has given to them.

2. Most of the ICOs releases their tokens right after the crowdsale is done and some instantly releases it after the you invested.

3. I really hope that there is but everyone can make their own ICO so that's why there is none but there are some YouTube reviews to what good ICOs are coming.

Actually you can all see the information of an ICO to their Whitepaper and all of them are providing it.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOS NEW BLOCKCHAIN on: November 08, 2017, 11:28:00 PM
Pls what does it means for an ico to have their blockchain
since most icos i know are using er-20
there is this  universa UTN. Am guesssing thats a new coin right----thanks

What do you mean by an ICO to have their blockchain?

It is true that most ICOs today uses ERC20 because it is used for Ethereum smart contracts and it defines a common list of rules that an Ethereum token has to implement.

and what is 'universa UTN' I don't know anything about that, for better understanding about different kind of coins search it at https://coinmarketcap.com/
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and coins on: November 08, 2017, 11:20:26 PM
What's the difference between bitcoins/ethereum and coins?

Bitcoin are the father of all cryptocurrencies and it is the first one so the other succeeding cryptocurrencies are called 'Altcoins', Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications. Coins is the term used to call different kinds of cryptocurrencies and it is different from token so don't be confuse.
194  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: So how much privacy do we really need? on: November 08, 2017, 09:58:39 PM
We need less anonymity to stop the bad guys imo.
less anonymity? you mean throwing our privacy? Bitcoin itself can be de-anonymize easily if we not careful enough with it. and I bet people who do illegal transactions already use cryptocurrencies who offer better anonymity and privacy.

Being less anonymous doesn't mean bad guys will stop doing their bad doings though because no matter what Bitcoin will do in terms of its privacy bad people will still do what they want in able to take advantage of someones ignorance so it is much way better for the people who uses Bitcoin to take the full responsibility in their security.

Take note that in the history of Bitcoin there is no single hack happened in it, it is just that there is a Bitcoin exchange that has been hacked and it is centralized by someone so meaning it's not Bitcoin itself that has been breached back then.
195  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is SegWit2x Nov fork 100% certain to happen? on: November 08, 2017, 09:51:36 PM

Maybe the segwit2x code is ready, but the cancellation statement probably means there won't be sufficient hash power to mine segwit2x and thus not able to start the chain at all

You are right there that SegWit2x will not be pass just like Bitcoin Unlimited back then because there rumors that a large portion of miners will not supporting it to be implemented on November 16, 2017 or when the right block for it was reach but in case it'll not go through I think there is still a Bitcoin2x coin that will be available on the market no matter what.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoin on: November 06, 2017, 07:08:30 PM
Do banking corporations will create a formula to kill Bitcoin?

Banks really hates Bitcoin If we look at the news about this Bankers that thrown a lot of hates and bashes to Bitcoin and we can't blame them because they see the potential of Bitcoin and the effect to their businesses in the future if this thing continues to grow.

Then if some corporations try to kill Bitcoin the they are free to do it if they think they can, Bitcoin is modern digital currency that is already accepted by many and believe that it is the future of digital money so if there is one thing that can kill Bitcoin is maybe an another extraordinary technology that will offer a wonderful kind of convenience to the people that will use it.

197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin online payments on: November 06, 2017, 06:58:25 PM
Maybe because some of the advertisers and publishers that is using YouTube is paying it by dollars instead of Bitcoin but I think that day will come that YouTube and other some well known website will recognize Bitcoin as an option of payment to their services and goods, I already read some news that Amazon is thinking in accepting Bitcoins as one of their payment methods so with this maybe the start of some other websites to welcome Bitcoin also.

198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: November 06, 2017, 06:12:05 PM
I'm very confident that bitcoin will drop very soon because it really achieved a phenomenal growth in the past few months reaching a peak of 7500 us dollars . So the logical next step is a bit of a correction. But i'm pretty sure that it will be rolling again very soon and might even cross the 9k bar by end of 2017 . Even tho there a lot to work on for bitcoin's features , it's still the most successful cryptocurrency of all time and public mass are believing in it , slowly but surely .

Nice insights though, The reason of its price reaching the current price now is because of the incoming Segwit2x because many people believes that this Hard Fork will create a coin that has a value of $1k a piece so many investors are attracted to it in expecting to get a equal value of their holdings before the said Fork happens.

I believe also that the price of Bitcoin will go to some corrections after the massive price increase because that is the normal events in whatever currency markets in the world.

199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price Worth $7500 on: November 06, 2017, 06:04:31 PM
Bitcoin Price Will Have ‘No Difficulty’ Hitting $10,000,
After Bitcoin hit $7,000 and stayed above it Monday, the virtual currency’s most famous fans are confident $10,000 will involve little effort.
Will the bitcoin price reach $10k by the end of the year, then what about the altco price??

The only source that you gave is so general and I think it is a hype group of people. Everything is possible in Bitcoin though and each price surge has its reasons and we all witnessed that, Bitcoin is increasing now because of the incoming Hard Fork of Segwit2x so if this will be successful and implemented many people will once again react and the market of Bitcoin will shaken up depending to what will be the outcome of it.

There is no 100% chance in Bitcoin, $10,000 is achievable though but I think not this year. most of the Altcoins price is dependent with the price of Bitcoin so maybe the top 10 altcoins will be the next big thing when Bitcoin continues to increase.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing all our Money in bitcoin is good or Investing little portion of saving on: November 06, 2017, 05:57:38 PM
Shocked Investing few portion of our savings is good I think.
Really it is a good plan to make a step of decision in bitcoin.
Suggestions of others helps here for a strong basement.  Roll Eyes

Investing in Bitcoin is good though if you just look the history of it within the past year but I can't tell you what will happen next because I am not a professional investor, investing all of your money with Bitcoin is a risky move and at the same time is worth if what happened last year until this day will repeat again to next year of Bitcoin.

Savings is a hard earned money and losing it in an instant is a devastating scenario so the best advise for you is the never ending phrase 'Invest only what you can afford to lose'. To all investment there is always risk so you may take it as a gamble but if you may just go to the high probability of winning and Bitcoin now is in a high probability for me.
