181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative Electricity for Mining on: April 27, 2019, 08:45:08 PM
3000 dollars is quite on the high side. Anything within 500 - 1000 dollars will be fine with me. If I have an energy supply of over 60k Watts, I will most likely supply it else where for the cash considering the size of my mining implements.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Your rigs need your help on: April 27, 2019, 08:21:35 PM
If you were where I live, you would need to clean your rigs daily. My country is the fifth most polluted countries in the world according to WHO (World Health Organization), and dust existence is beyond measure. I clean my rig at least twice a week, and just 6 hours after I clean it, it collects dust. If I leave it for a week, my components become literally unrecognisable with dust covering every inch of them.
It gets frustrating, so don't blame me for getting lazy sometimes  Roll Eyes
are you serious dude ? I haven't done cleaning for over 6 months

Lol. Same problem here. Sub Saharan Africa. If you don't have problems with inconsistent supply of electricity, you will have dust problems. Such is the difficult mining tales we tell from this part of the world
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: April 26, 2019, 11:59:35 PM
Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?

Altcoins in my opinion. Ethereum, stellar, Tron, Populous. Top 100 or 50 coins are always a good buy at this type of market situation  in my opinion because they have bled hard in the past two weeks and waiting for another good run. Maybe you should take a position now
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think the bear market is over for some coins on: April 26, 2019, 11:58:56 PM
I guess the powers that be will hardly allow the bull run for long because India had banned crypto and US Justice department is preparing a move again USDT. Maybe a dump is imminent or maybe not but which ever it is, we are ready
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Galaxy S10, next is Samsung Coin? on: April 25, 2019, 07:57:18 PM
Coindesk published a REPORT that Samsung may soon issue their own token (Samsung Coin). It is still not confirmed yet but news like this are most welcome. Let's see how things unfold.

Quote
Currently, we are thinking of private blockchain, though it is not yet confirmed. It could also be public blockchain in the future, but I think it will be hybrid – that is, a combination of public and private blockchains.

With over 2.6 million euro invested in hardware crypto security firm ledger, Samsung has made another bold statement that its very interested in cryptocurrency and wants more market share. I will definitely be an investor of Samsung coin when it launches
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in ICO anymore. Do not Feed scammers on: April 25, 2019, 07:45:12 PM
ICO era is gone! Stop feeding serial scammers. Stop funding these cash grab nonexistent projects.
The World Do not need new tokens at all. We got enough shitcoin for next 100 years.

Well if there are a real project (With trustworthy Team) which is really willing to distirbute Their tokens! There are Many ways Without Doing ICO!

ICOs should just get funded from VCs and do an airdrop to community.

Most ico can be done open source on github for free.. the greed in creating all of these project is stifling growth. A lot of innovation come from free open source project from passionate developers.

Im 3 years in this field and strictly advice you do not invest in any ico at all.

What Do you think guys ?

I think you wrote this post out of Anger. As long as cryptocurrency and blockchain is within the confinement of technology, it will always evolve and demand advancement and this new projects will surface. But them we need to be careful with where we invest.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOS are no different from ICO tricks; just an upgrade on: April 25, 2019, 07:40:32 PM
It certainly is no different. Just a rebranded process to boost investors confidence and eliminate worry of developers running away with funds collected at ICO. But then, nothing much has really changed in terms of investors still loosing funds post ico. Take a look at Celer, Fetch AI etc
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ethereum will hit $1,000? on: April 24, 2019, 09:34:35 PM
If so, when?

I don't see that happening this year. It occurred in 2017 because of the massive influx of new entrants into cryptocurrency. Now the crypto-market population had shrinked and rather grasping at straws
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible that NPXS will reach 1$? on: April 24, 2019, 09:27:21 PM
Current price for NPXS is $0.000585. Will NPXS reach 1$ during the next bull market?

For such an average coin with huge circulation supply, 1 $ is too far fetched. Plus the hype they built around their product last year 2018 had drastically gone down. I do not foresee any major market comeback for pundix
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to pick altcoin on: April 22, 2019, 10:20:46 PM
Every time is the right time to invest in cryptocurrency especially for a long term investment. If you forgot to do so yesterday, today is another chance to do so. Cryptocurrency is still in its infant stages and only the early adopters will enjoy it when full adoption comes
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binance Chain a treat to Ethereum? on: April 22, 2019, 10:18:05 PM
It is no longer news that Binance is launching their own chain on the 23rd of April, 2019. All BNB holders can convert their ERC 20 to Binance Chain and MITH has announce to be the first to migrate to Binance Chain and pumped 60% overnight. Is Binance Chain decentralized or semi-decentrilized considering that they will be in control of their chain network. With the lack of smart contract, are they really pulling any challenge to ETH? Well. If the purpose is for crowdfunding and the possibility of getting listed, BNB might receive a lot of attention. In my own opinion, Binance Team is setting the pace for other exchanges and they are doing really well.

Quoting CZ of Binance, he said Binance Chain is not a threat to Ethereum but rather a challenge to all cryptocurrency developers to be better than what they were yesterday. BEP2 don't even have a smart contract if you must know

193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your best Privacy-Oriented coin? on: April 21, 2019, 11:57:45 PM
Hello peoples..
I am posting this thread to talk about privacy in general.
I am a fan of privacy coins just like PiVx and monero etc..
I just want the peoples to vote for their best coins
From this list, what's the projects that you are supporting?
-Deeponion
-Pivx
-Monero
-Veil
-beam
-Monero Classic
-ZCASH
-ZCoin
-ZenCash
-Particl
- GRIN
- ZCLASSIC
- Zero
- Quantis
- Elixxir

I didn't mention Privcy because they banned me, they are shady.. They are not honest.

I am personally supporting all of the coins listed above but I don't like neither Grin neither Monero Classic and my best pick is DO.
What about you folks?

I like Beam, Veil, PivX and Deep onion. With these coins, I am well covered in the privacy sphere because they make a team of total control and transaction privacy in cryptocurrency. I am still in my accumulation stage of Veil and Beam. They are new and grossly underrated at the moment
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys read daily crypto news? on: April 21, 2019, 11:20:01 PM
I think it is one of the essential things in order to invest crypto.
Do you guys read daily crypto news?

Not just for investment but I do read daily cryptocurrency news to keep me apprised on the recent developments in the industry. Cointelegraph.com is the best avenue for all cryptocurrency news. You might want to subscribe there
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run?? on: April 20, 2019, 11:46:31 PM
From charts, we might just be in the final three months of accumulation currently and after that, the market is expected to have a steady rise from July to 2019 to July 2020. We should get ready for the positive movement if bitcoin breaks $5,500 support in less than two weeks from today
196  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can I get money from mining? on: April 20, 2019, 11:33:58 PM
Currently, I don't have a job as a retired person, so, I was wondering if mining can get me some money to support our family daily sustenance. Could you give me my best option, and what would be the cost of setting up mining rig? Thank you.

If you want to set up your rig, I may advise you wait till the bull market fully return. Until mining expenditure became higher than the profit, mining was one of the most profitable ways to earn cryptocurrency in 2016/17
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coin should I 'mine' with my laptops? on: April 20, 2019, 11:17:28 PM
Hello,

I have two laptops with good specs eating dust. I thought to set them to work as nodes or miners or something like that. See if it's worthwhile.

The specs of my best laptop are i7, 16 GB RAM, 1.xx GHz, Windows 10. The other is a 4GB RAM laptop. I think it's i5, but I don't know the exact specs from the top of my head.

I'm a newbie in staking and mining and I don't want to install Ubuntu or Linux. I'm not an IT guy.

It can be leading or non-leading coins. That doesn't matter.

Does anyone have tips and suggestions about where to start and what to mine?

Thanks in advance.
It is not advisable to mine with laptop.  I have tried before but it doesn't worth it.  I could remember mine about a month and end up with around $4 worth of coins.  I have to quit because after spending some much in energy I was at loses.

You are right. It's a non worthy fruitless venture . It actually fried a friends laptop while mining Monero and co. He is saving up to set up a mining rig which will be installed before quarter three of 2019.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I'm now accumulating 15 altcoins, what do you think? on: April 19, 2019, 10:59:07 PM
Apart from Tezos which recently caught my attention with close to $1b market cap, I will rather go with Binance coin(bnb). It has a clear potential to do x200B - x50 from the current cap. Binance has injected more utility to the coin through its Binance chain
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price recovering slowly on: April 19, 2019, 10:50:55 PM
Good news is the eth uis gaining its momentum on his own line
now i can see the chart as it was a prediction from a analyst
he once told me to but eth in low price.....
and im hoping to get some profit from eth
as the preiction says that it will gain 1000$+ in this year

I'm more than sure that ether is held by a lot of people and believe in recovery, but do not be reassuring yourself about thinking about high prices this year. We see how the market is moving and we understand that there is very little time left for recovery, but if there is an indicator of $ 800 this will be a success.

$800 might be far fetched in my opinion. Ethereum blockchain is facing fierce competition from Stellar, Tron and even Binance chain. I hope ethereum maintains its 2nd position on the table because it has been pushed off for a while
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: April 19, 2019, 10:46:31 PM
Same question as in topic.
Where you invest your money today?
Btc, Ltc, Eth, Lisk or what?

Considering long-term goals, I will invest in veil coin. The CEO is also a founder of a privacy coin called PiVX. Veil is designed with a more advanced technology to achieve better potentials. So it's worth investing for me
