181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Mining Calculator with Live Data and Responsive Profit Graph on: December 15, 2016, 12:35:37 AM
Hello Everyone,

I was a bit annoyed with the existing Ethereum Mining Calculators because they often use old data and they work terribly on a phone or a table. So I built a mobile-friendly calculator with a responsive profitability graph.

The calculator's back-end streams price and network statistics live and pushes the data to the calculator whenever there is a change, so you know the data is always fresh, no need to refresh the page!

Please have a look and tell me what you think:

Suggestions welcome,

Thanks!

This is very nice, great job.

Great job +1

Dwarpool more than 6 hours and no block.
I think it is better win less money on flypool...

Guys, which pool is better for mining ZEC? (I'm in east EU)
I'm thinking between Dwarfpool and Flypool. Probably some other (Nanopool, Suprnova or else)
Tell me, pls.

Use zec.suprnova.cc and the EU node  Smiley
Thanks.
Have you tried other pools?

I'm always comparing pools, suprnova (and coinmine) switched to PPLNS payout recently which made the payments bigger and more steady than before.

It's merely your personal preference now.. Just decide which pool and pool op you like most, which support is best etc.

Ok, I'll look at Suprnova.
Have you tested Dwarfpool?

Nope, I didn't mine there yet.

Just in case you didn't know ocminer is the op at suprnova.

ocminer, what payment scheme did you have in place before?

It was Proportional payout before which was good for pool hoppers.

All Suprnova Pools will be PPLNS from now on.

This is not a good discussion... all big pools give the same profit-tax. I tested all.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What temperature to keep the idle cards ? on: December 11, 2016, 04:35:38 PM
So I'v stopped mining for now, and probably for ever. I'll probably convert the cards into gaming setups, and for the older ones (RX 380 and 970) that's certain. But until that time that might not come very soon, I need to keep them somewhere. For the about 2 or 3 weeks that passed since I've shutted them down, they've not moved. The basement where they are was once heated by them, but not it isn't anymore and temperature is probably getting under 10°C at night. Is it a risk for them ?

Why did you kit mining?

for the people using r9 390, what is your hash and watts at the wall?

Stock is about 280

I have more than 80 r9 390 and never get 300 sol.

The max I get is 285
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best PSU for R9 390 series on: December 07, 2016, 11:51:22 PM
No need to buy psu's, your settings are way off. I just wanted to do stress test with some lunatic settings.

You on nix or windows?

Windows 10 64bits

Stop that dual mining.

Install gpu-z and msi afterburner.

Download hawaiireader.

On gpu-z, extract your bios.

On hawaiireader, open that bios and look what those dpm clocks are. Use those dpm 2-7 core + mem 1500.

Do some more powersaving with afterburner.

Do some serious powersaving with bios modding.

nice tips..

Cheaper than buy more PSU's

1060w at the wall, how long do I need to run this?  Cool

edit: 29 eth + 435 dcr if someone is interested.

1060 for how many cards?

Grin

Nice tests friend...

1060 is just a little bit higher then 1000. Maybe undervolting is a good choice...

Or maybe buy more PSU... Or use rx480 😀

Looking at your .bat it is not your psu. I will try to mine for you anyway.

Try to lower that intensity.

sorry friend, i give you the incorrect .bat...

the correct one is from dual miner:

Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal 1GRCbptUfugWgXjmadquWEi1SxfDDkg2Wo.RIG04 -epsw x -eworker escritorio -esm 3 -allpools 1 -estale 1 -dpool stratum+tcp://decred.eu.nicehash.com:3354 -dwal 1GRCbptUfugWgXjmadquWEi1SxfDDkg2Wo.RIG04
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best PSU for R9 390 series on: December 07, 2016, 09:52:50 PM
i made the test in 2 Rigs

each one has the same conf. (6 x r9 390 - 2 x 1000W PSU)

TOTAL:
12 x r9 390 - 4000W

Ok, give me your .bat file, one 3x390 ready with power meter.
this is my .bat file:
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ZecMiner64.exe -zpool eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -zwal t1LRjjpNF791MJ9XScnUnqxhAaL5EbeCmjt.RIG04 -zpsw x -i 8 -mport -3347 -fanmin 70

And your core/mem/power settings?

All Stocks...

To remove any amd or nvidia drivers you could check out this program. its called Display Driver Uninstaller.

is the link correct?
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.0 on: December 07, 2016, 09:24:41 PM
Hello,

my rig freezes because of the new clay with 4 pcs rx480, win10 system.
The cards are not overheating.
Everything is on basic settings no tuning or bios modding.

Settings (GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT), virtual memory is ok.
I tried with the older driver as well but it freezes after 15 mins again. I decreased the intensity to 4 but i got the same results.
It works perfectly with the version 8.
Do you guys have any idea what should I do?

Thanks!

whats your PSU?
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best PSU for R9 390 series on: December 07, 2016, 09:22:06 PM
1000w gold psu should easily feed 3x390 everything default.

thats not correct friend..

Sometimes a R9 goes to 400W 3x400 = 1200W

If you use dual mining ETH + DECRED for example, unfortuny this happen.. (on stock)

You are right, forgot someone could be dualmining.

Give me one example where 1000w can't feed 3x390, launch config. I will try it right away.

i tryed here with zcash v8 (works)

the problem on my rigs with psu is when i use this:

Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred_Siacoin_Lbry AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.3
6 x r9 390 (powercolor)
2x 1000W gold plus PSU

tryed on 2 rigs

1 - Work for 4 hours than reset
2 - Reset after 20 minutes (and i thought the psu was broken, but is wasa not)

So you have two 3x390 rigs? Or two 6x390? Or one 6x390 rig powered by 2x1000w psu?

do a clean install of the drivers turn off any thing that may use those driver or card before you uninstall them like antivirus software, any profile software you may be using like after burner , awesome miner etc and you may even need to reset you cards default to default with software like after burner and make sure some stuff is off or on for that  card with afterburner, you can't see other wise that keep turning on or off  or some profiles not Turin off on there own or not deleting, or Windows installs it own profile after a driver uninstall or the driver gets stuck on a profile no mater what you do.

tks!!

is it better to get the old drivers?
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Downgrade Driver - Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 on: December 07, 2016, 07:13:47 PM
Simple google search would give you this. But anyway, you are probably downloading it because of claymore and I can say that I always used newest drivers and never had any problems or major performance loss

yes that is the reason, and i already tryed this link..

Not working for W10 64bits..

if the newest is ok, i will continue to use.. But the hash at my R9 390 (i have 80 GPUS) is not equal to the stock that he mencioned on the ZCASH 9.0
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Downgrade Driver - Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 on: December 07, 2016, 06:50:11 PM
1)uninstall current driver

2) install desired driver ...

tks for the answer..

Where can i find this driver?

(on AMD site i cannot find)
