I believe a strong attribute of RPX is the ability to filter out noise, such as: propaganda, fake news, and rumors. Speaking crypto terms, they’ll distinguish between what is FUD, shill, and real news. This alone, would be the goal of a small scale project, but RPX is aiming for the stars and this is only a small part in what they’re going to accomplish. Per the White Paper, Q2 was when they integrated Financial Advisors, Money Managers, etc. to their mobile platform. I’d like to see who these experts are, similar to how they highlight the RPX team and Advisors, as I believe these people are equally as important to the success of this project. However, seeing the people leading RPX team, I don’t doubt that these participants will be less than the best. With 2 CFA designations on the team, I’m sure they’re more than capable of analysing the data on their own in the short term. However, scalability is something I’d be interested in watching them overcome; whether they can bring on more quality analysts.

Alexander is a deep learning guru specializing in problems related to medical imaging, which usually means segmentation, object detection, and generally speaking convolutional neural networks, although medical images are often in 3D and are not necessarily RGB images, as we have seen when we discussed imaging mass-spectrometry. You may have already met Alexander Rakhlin here in our research blog: he has authored a recent post with a general survey of AI applications for healthcare. But today we have great news: Alexander’s paper, Pediatric Bone Age Assessment Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (a joint work with Vladimir Iglovikov, Alexander Kalinin, and Alexey Shvets), has been accepted for publication at the 4th Workshop on Deep Learning in Medical Image Analysis (DLMIA 2018)! This is already not the first paper on medical imaging under Neuromation banners, and this is a great occasion to dive into some details of this work. An overview of WebId’s and RDF data use on SAFE. Recently we published some proof of concepts (POCs) showcasing the use of semantic data on The SAFE Network. We’ve taken the idea of using WebIds for online identity management and applied it to The SAFE Network. This has showcased not only how self-authentication can simplify a lot of problems thrown up by the clearnet (see authentication below). But also how SAFE can lend itself to zero infrastructure app development, allowing anyone to easily build decentralized apps, that scale.
