1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much capital I need to be the House on: May 04, 2019, 04:57:57 PM
Even casinos with large capital can go bankrupt, its why casinos have max bet limits so whales can't demolish them.  Even though the odds are in your favor as the house it doesn't mean you can't hit a really long losing streak.
The reason why limits needs to be set up, as there's big fat whales who can surpass the house bankroll and use it as an advantage to sucked every money inside the house, if such whales is very well experienced they can go and proceed play like a hit and run strategy living the house empty handed.

The house edges, odds and bets limits are to be set precisely  because if you mismanaged them, then the whales and experienced gamblers will exploit this and run away with all funds on your site. You need to fully understand all these settings before you bring your gambling site live.

1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site for Cricket World Cup on: May 03, 2019, 06:06:07 PM
I make most of my cricket bets on Cloudbet as well, and they do offer a much better range of lines than other sites like Sportsbet or even nitrogensports. Would definitely recommend.

Its been some hours after OP created this thread but he do not even give any reply, I'm starting to think that OP is not really serious to find a site that provides Cricket World Cup markets. Anyway, Cloudbet seems to be the one with the highest odds on that event compared to other sites like Sportsbet and Fortunejack.

Yes, its only been a few hours and not few days. Why would i be not interesting in knowing the site as i started the thread myself.
I think you should stop spamming for your signature only .

It all comes down to preference op. There are several websites which offer bets on the upcoming world cup with different odds. Do your research and choose wisely. Some of my favorites:

1. Cloudbet
2. Sportsbet

Yes, i will check these two sites as these are recommended by most people here.
I am regularly gambling on IPL, feel free to check my post history especially on the topic: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion.

I have used both sportsbet.io and cloudbet. If I leave you my honest opinion then I will say sportsbet.io however I can not deny the warm welcome I have received from cloudbet especially from Ronnie.

So, I will suggest you to check both sites and pick a winner for you.

I really like your thread about the IPL.
Are you planning to start a similar gambling competition for the World cup matches too ?
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulating bodies on: May 03, 2019, 05:52:15 PM
Well, curacao-egaming.com are the ones who give the licenses from Costa Rica, they verify the engine and the site isn't rigged before giving the license.

That's not the case. Like the name suggests the licenses (Actually sub-licenses) are from Curacao, not Costa Rica. (Costa Rica is a popular place to incorporate a casino though, because it effectively has no gambling laws for foreign bets).

And they do not verify the engine (and if they did, it could silently changed, or they verify a different version).

As someone who's previously been granted a gaming license, I can tell you they're pretty much totally useless for a player. I think the only thing they're good for is showing that the company isn't a "fly-by-night" operation as they invested a few thousand in legal and licensing costs.

And if you're cheated by them, it gives you a potential avenue for recourse but it'd be a a pretty up-hill battle. And if they're malicious, they could've even gone through the whole licensing process with totally fake information and be anonymous.

--

So my strong advice for players would be to use a system they can verify themselves (i.e. provably fair) and a long history of being good standing with the community (as that's something worth millions of dollars, no well-run company would want to risk that).  I'd also check out: https://cryptogambling.org/   while I don't know every name in the list, the ones I do know are pretty solid options.

Yes, with decentralization there is no check & balance and no central authority who could monitor all the fair plays and other stuff in gambling.
Rather i would say that this is much more better than a regulatory authority.

In case of Central gambling body, there might be some check and balance but more often we see these bodies are purchased by the big whales in the industry and they influence even those authorities to take biased decisions.

Now the only way for gambling site to survive for a long term is to be fair and supportive to its customers. Healthy competition among the sites is also benefit to the gamblers and i think gambling survival is best in the decentralized environment.

1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Best Gambling Site for Cricket World Cup on: May 01, 2019, 11:55:05 PM
I am looking for the best gambling site for the upcoming cricket world cup in England this year.
Is there any site which is dedicated to this event ?
1807  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: May 01, 2019, 04:27:48 AM
I haven't been in their program and I have no clue if they have paid other red tagged members.

Hold on for a minute how did anyone find out if red tagged members were paid in the first place? All the payments are sent in the yobit balance and its not shown publicly anywhere about which users are enrolled and when they're paid.

So who spread this information about red tagged accounts getting paid? Might it be that that person himself is a multiaccount farmer (possibly with a red tagged account)?
There was few red trusted users users like mdayonliner who said that they got paid from Yobit campaign. There is no way how we can verify it, but I think there is no point them to lie and wear Yobit signature for free.
But probably it was not intentional mistake by Yobit, they just didn't adjusted their bot to reject red trusted users. Same like they didn't adjusted their payment rates. They planned to pay 0.00016 BTC per post, but in first day after relaunch of campaign all participants got 0.0003 BTC per post.

Yobit did not did their homework well in resuming their campaign. I wonder why were they in a hurry to start the campaign if they have not tested the bots.

Giving more than the stated amount as pey per post, enrolling and paying Red trusted accounts (when they have mentioned that they will not accept them) etc are few examples of their mis-management.

They corrected the Pay per post issue on the 2nd day, but before they could further solve the red trust enrollment issue, Theymos rightly acted and get rid of their campaign altogether.

For sure, this forum is independent from Yobit  and no one should be allowed to misuse the forum for their own wrong doings.
1808  Economy / Gambling / Re: flashcrash.io | an upcoming bitcoin gambling site with instant deposits on: April 30, 2019, 05:09:32 PM
I wonder if the amount of funds raised shown in the site are real ? Also 6 BTC are enough to build the gambling site. I believe  OP should show some light on the progress of his project.
1809  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How safe is bittrex ? on: April 28, 2019, 02:53:15 PM
Bittrex like most other exchange have some security features Like enhanced verification and 2FA verification which are tools use to add some extra layer of security to your account. However, even with features like this hackers have been able to find a way round it. It is therefore not uncommon that many exchanges include bittrex have been hacked in the past because of the large fund available in exchanges. I will therefore advice you not to use any exchanges including bittrex as a means of storage in the long term . It is better you limit it to a trading platform and a means of storage in the short term.

Bittrex is one of the reputable exchange and I think you can call it the 2nd best exchange after Binance. Recently there was a fud that Bittrex is disabling accounts which contain big balances without any reason. So we cannot say that any exchange is 100% safe. The best way to keep our funds save is to deposit them on our personal wallets and do not keep them on exchanges.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with your Parents on: April 28, 2019, 10:26:54 AM
Although parents differs, my parent will never wanted to hear or see me close to a gambling center because they always preach against the spirit involved in gambling. I believe that many other parent will do likewise but not 70% will do. My gambling life is secrete and will keep it secret until they found out themselves. Gambling with ones parent to me doesn't make any sense and the gambler won't enjoy it.
Good parenting will always do that, they will not allow their kids to do things that they knew will only have bad effects with them when they grow up, gambling will not bring anything good but else it will possible to get addictions, so I believe loving parents will not allow this to happen.

If your parents have disallowed gambling then you should not play it even with family / Friends or with strangers.

The capacity of parents to watched over their children is limited and half of their activiyis behind their eyes, you are lucky of having parents that guides you to goodness so never spare the trust has given you.why not just follow them as thats for your own betterment since gambling will only ruin your life in future if you did control yourself

Gambling should always be for fun so that you do not have to worry much things about it. Only thing if you are playing with your family you would be in control as they would be their even if you go overboard to stop you and make you realize about it

Controlling yourself in gambling is not an easy thing to do and when you have so many online / offline people to play gambling, why would to still be willing to play it with your parents. It may not look nice that you gamble with your own parents for Money related benefits.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I gamble for my WEDDING? on: April 28, 2019, 10:03:08 AM
I used to play gamble just once in a week and I have though that gambling was not a place for me to be use as a backrest. I have tried several time like what do you want and I never reach it, it was just made me lost of all money and I should find another source to get it my capital again. Gambling is not a place to get money easily, you need a thousand of lucky to get it. So, my suggestion is don't do it and find some realistic ways to get it such as trading bitcoin or altcoin or maybe you can invest it for short term because we don't know maybe tomorrow the prices cryptocurrency will meet a drastically up.

Bitcoin trading is a much better option to choose than bitcoin gambling. In trading  we have much better chances to secure profit but it will take some time in this bear market.
Gambling can only make or break your wedding. You Win you go for the wedding, you lose you will end up empty handed.
1812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educative YouTube Channel on: April 28, 2019, 09:39:11 AM
I was thinking about starting a YouTube channel regarding Bitcoin/crypto. I was thinking I was focusing on tutorials about the wallets, recovery, services, etc. (It won't be anything related to price analysis).

What are your thoughts and what do you think are some themes that you think should be covered?

You may disagree with me but starting only the bitcoin channel for education purpose may not give you much audience as most the people know about these topics and for the newcomers, there are enough educational tutorials already.

You have a large fan following and based on that you should cover three aspects in your channel .

- Cover the latest Crypto related News
- Your analysis on current market conditions and future predictions ( Not price related but Technical Analysis)
- Bitcoins Basic tutorials

This way all the people both New and experienced in crypto will be attracted towards your channel and you will always have something to say about  Smiley
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: April 28, 2019, 06:08:25 AM
@JSRAW we need just cricket lovers because they can manage better then these professionals and this can bring some more excitement in game professionals need money and lovers need enjoyment.

The combination of both the lovers and professionalism should be the main goal. If a team has players who love the game, who are sincere to their profession and country, its hard to beat such a team.
Right now its very hard to have team like this because now mostly going for money as we have some examples in recent from West Indies and South Africa.

You cannot be a good player if you do not love the game. This is true of any field. If you love your work and game, you can easily excel in it and achieve high levels. For sure, if you are hard worker, you will be selected in the team and money will automatically comes to you. Hope you got my point.
1814  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Which one is more better: Doing bounties on Bitcointalk or Managers website on: April 28, 2019, 04:34:06 AM
Most of the bounty managers have their website in which they upload the bounties in which they manage and make it easy for the hunters to find the bounties they manage and easy accessible for hunters. But these managers don't do upload spreadsheet for hunters to see their stakes.
The bounty managers on Bitcointalk always have their spreadsheet shown to hunters and make them awear of the qualified people and the rejected hunters  , but to find the bounty of some favourite bounty managers is not that easy.

Things are not totally transparent when it comes to the Bounties website. I most often do not see excel  workbooks on those bounty sites and we can only see how much stakes we have claimed. I mostly prefer the bounties here on Bitcoin-talk.
1815  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits A Golden Cross on: April 27, 2019, 04:57:15 PM
Bitcoin hits its five-month high as surged up to the $5,500 benchmark.

Full article here: https://www.unblock.news/market/bitcoin-hits-a-golden-cross

Golden cross and death cross are the major factor in determining the market sentiment for the next few months and Golden cross is definitely a good  sign for bitcoin.

I think the price of bitcoin will steadily increase, and there are 2 months that likely to make bitcoin price increase.
1. At the end of the year 2019 which is December
2. At May 2020 which the month of the bitcoin halving happened

Bitcoin movement depends upon both technical and fundamental analysis. Bitcoin price will surge when we have both strong fundamentals and technical analysis.
1816  Other / Meta / Re: Don't show users' signatures? YES on: April 27, 2019, 10:39:01 AM
I like the idea of being able to turn off signatures, but I will keep them on so that I know which users to ignore. That way I don't see signatures and I don't see posts by members of signature campaigns.

Well, not all members who wear the Signature, have bad posting quality. If we ignore all the posts by those members who are wearing the signatures, we might miss many good posts too.  I think having signature should not be a determining factor for a high / Low quality poster. There may be few spammers whom we may put on ignore list, irrespective of whether they wear signature or not.

1817  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.AG fraud on: April 27, 2019, 07:05:26 AM
Hi sportsbookmonitor,
We notice that your name changed to kerrywoodwins20 halfway through this thread. We see that you enjoy creating multiple accounts on BitcoinTalk, just as much as you did on Betcoin.ag a year ago when we blocked your first account.

We banned your account, kerrywoodwins20, due to the numerous death threats issued against our staff on April 28, 2018.

You then created another account, javybaez2020, to circumvent the ban on May 2, 2018. When this account was discovered, it was banned for multi-accounting. Several times you asked us to have your account reopened and we said we would think about it.

On March 10, 2019 you begged for your account back, once again, and promised that you would stop defaming us on forums and that you would treat our support staff with respect. We allowed you to reopen your account under several conditions which were broken almost immediately. Between then and now you asked to have your account closed twice when we refused to give you additional bonuses and both times, you asked to have your account reopened within 2 days.

On April 18, you asked to have your account closed because you were compensated for a dispute (which we now know was a lie) and we accidentally added 30 extra chips which we immediately removed and you said if we couldnt give you the extra chips back you no longer wanted to play here.
You came straight to the forums and after we exposed several lies you told, you deleted your posts and begged us to come back, once again. You have been begging us this for the last 8 days, sending a total of 3 support tickets and 7 emails during this time, apologizing and requesting to have your account reopened.

So clearly, you want to play here. Unfortunately, despite your constant begging and apologies, we still cannot allow you to have an account due to your wasting staff time with hundreds of support tickets, mood swings and death threats.

We will not hesitate to post proof of your lies, if you continue this smear campaign.

Either way, we recommend playing at the book that you trust the most, just like our tens of thousands of weekly users, who are very happy with the site. We look forward to your next request to have your account reopened.

If Betcoin.AG is right here than the OP should stop creating multiple accounts and try to portrait the wrong image of the gambling site.
As far as i know, betcoin.ag has few incidents in the past too where people try to claim them as scam, but they proof them wrong too.

1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: April 26, 2019, 07:04:15 PM
I used to watch them but I find that very stressful. Bet and don't watch matches or don't bet and watch match. I haven't bet for ages but last time I did I placed bet on match I watched and almost broke a TV.

This means that you have no control over your emotions. If you team is losing it does not mean that you broke your TV. You are already in a loss in the bet and breaking your own TV will give you further loss  Cheesy

I do watch the match on which I bet, regardless of a win or lose. It is a good feeling to know which way the match is going and how much are our chances to win or lose a bet.

This is most common behavior which I found more in football matches. The Football matches mostly are very intense and the last moment Goals can make or break the fortune of the person who is betting on the match.
It is really hard to control the emotions if your team has lost in the dying moments of the match.
1820  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Disposable phone number in the U.S. paid with Bitcoin on: April 26, 2019, 06:55:29 PM
Hello,

I am looking for a website that offers disposable phone numbers that I can use to send and receive texts. I would be interested in a service that would allow me to pay for the service with BTC (or other crypto) and that would give me a number that I can keep, as long as I pay.

Do you guys have any service you would recommend?

You can try http://linespan.com. I have used this service myself and found it to be a good one. However you need to buy the phone numbers here to which u will get the sms code etc.   Also you can buy bulk numbers.  +1 to this service.  Smiley
