the most consistent team in EPL and so hasnt been Arsenal.

That's a bit surprising actually. I agree January haven't gone the way like their past performances but I still think they are in quite some form. Gunners have decent fixtures in Feb against Brentford and Wolves. Brentford is showing signs of out of form and Wolves are slowly grabbing up pace on the table so it's decent fixtures as both teams have surprised me couple of times in this season but the way Arsenal are playing games, I think Gunners will find easy points here.

Zakaria to Juventus really close at this point.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1487427160092680193

Juventus are pulling off some great players here. First Vlahovic and then Zakaria- striker and midfielder and both with massive potential. Can't wait to see how they perform in this new team.

Aubameyang is a much better player than Dembele. Do they have a chance to succeed?

Aubameyang is a great player but right now he is quite out of form and he is aging as well so not sure about it. On loan is good as it wouldn't give much dent to their pocket but honestly I don't feel his contribution would be massive.

Tottenham have finally found the right manager for themselves and this is very good. They have had big problems due to really wrong game plans so far. They have changed a few managers on this road but it looks like Antonio Conte is the right manager for them. He was really great with Inter last season and I had big hopes about him. Since he came, Tottenham have done a great job in the Premier League. I hope that they can join a tournament like the Champions League or the Europa League. But it would be better to see them in the Champions League honestly.

Given the experience and successful records he has, he can track Spurs into right track but it's a heavy work. Spurs are a good team but right now lot of players are not performing starting with Kane. Last season most of the goals and assists were scored by Kane and Son but this season Kane hasn't been up to the mark. Spurs back to CL is a tough task but for that to happen Spurs need to find a good goal scorer or Kane to be back in form.

Actually I'm not that surprised Calum Chambers left Arsenal, because Arteta is rarely given the opportunity to play Calum Chambers. Moreover,
Calum Chambers has been at Arsenal since 2014, and until now still can not get a lot of playing time. So Calum Chambers made the right decision
to move to Aston Villa, then this is also a good move for Arsenal by releasing some players who did not make a good contribution. So Arsenal
can replace him with new players, but like you said Arsenal still failed to get the player they wanted. It's difficult if Arsenal want to get good players
if they don't play in the Champions League competition. Because most good players want to play in the Champions League competition, so this
season Arsenal must make it into the top 4, so that next season Arsenal can easily compete with other teams to get good players.

Well slowly slowly players are leaving Arsenal who have fallen out of Arteta's favour and it's not their fault also, they gotta think of their future themselves. Arsenal are also doing things right by not forcing them to stay. They are just sending players on loan who they think will be useful in future and rest on permanent transfers.

Big potential players are tough to get as they face stiff competition from other big teams. Take Vlahovic for example, it was a tough one but eventually he went to Juventus. Still it's not an end of the road, they can still find a good potential striker as there are lot who are grabbing attraction. Once we have a striker I think Arsenal will be complete and will be interesting to see their form then.

From the start, Zidane had clearly rejected Man United even when he had officially accepted the offer.  His attitude could be judged from the start, but he only replied with a sentence that was enough to guard the hearts of many.  He only said that he was not ready to be the coach of a big name team in England, his unpreparedness due to his experience that had never coached an English team and others were only a series of reasons for us to appreciate it together.

Yeah there is too much task for him. First himself getting adjusted and learn a new language. Fix the team and tactics, it's too much work. These days club board are also not very much patient, they gotta understand that a new manager needs a good amount of time to fix things up.

Likely that Ajax's current manager ten Hag could be the next manager but there would be lot of candidates for sure. But right now seems like United are more interested in ten Hag.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 28, 2022, 04:36:38 PM
In Zidane's case, you know, he is looking for a stable team, the team which is looking for managers right now, and if he does not get any team like that defiantly he is not going to try his luck, and jeopardize his reputation.

But in my opinion, Zidane could do much better with Manchester United than any other coaches have done recently. Who knows maybe if Manchester United can finish in the top 4 then maybe Zidane will also change his mind!!

According to last reports, he wants to take some time off from managing a team and hence he denied the proceeds from United earlier if there were any. Zidane has good experience but I am not so sure. Fixing United at the current state is a heavy work and probably need good amount of time to fix them up.

What is Barcelona doing? I mean, first they sign Torres - he can play right wing or upfront. Then they loan Adama - he plays as a right wing which means Torres will mostly play upfront. Now they want Aubameyang - I would like someone from Barcelona to explain to me do they have any kind of idea how they want their team to be shaped up at all?

It is all so random with them. Hey - a player is available. Well, bring him and we'll see what to do then.

It is really unbelievable, they got themselves in this financial mess by doing that but they still haven't learned anything from it.
Next transfer: Morata for 40 million. Can't wait to see it.

Maybe they want to keep options? And maybe thinking of offloading players in next transfer window. They are having troubles in registering players anyway so very likely that lot of players brought in at the time of Koeman will be sold. Even Traore deal is not confirmed, it is a loan deal. It's quite confusing but lot of this will be clear in next window as I feel.

It is reported that Arsenal just have submitted bid for New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner about 10 m Euro . It seems like Leno thinking about leaving Arsenal might be true eventually. Either way Leno hasn't been in form for Arsenal and hasn't been in Arteta's first team ever since Ramsdale came in so better to make a move to other team and find some good playing time there.
Matt Turner is a solid keeper, no doubt. Well suited as a backup in the premier league. Solid shot stopper and good ball distribution. It might not be a bad business. But I will call it misplaced priority. What are we doing with a new goal keeper when we have Ramsdale at the form of his life with Leno still on the bench.  Arsenal is the club with the two best keeper in EPL.  How How is the management seeing this. They buy a goalkeeper when they have 2 Good goalkeepers. They need strikers precisely one or two game changers. Arsenal need a striker and a midfielders that will bolster their attack upfront and  I think the goalkeeper is important. What happened to their other Goalkeeper Runar Runarsson, why not bring him in and channel that resources to signing a striker.

I think it's a backup player signing. With Leno not finding enough minutes , it is very likely that he is gonna leave Arsenal and according to last tweet of Romano regarding this Leno will leave in summer. Yes Arsenal do need a striker but I think this is also something which needs to be addressed and they have signed the main goal keeper of USA National team- not bad but it will be interesting to see how much more likely he is to start in games. I gotta feeling that Arteta will only use him in Cup games.

Currently, Newcastle United is most talked topic in soccer community because they are richest and sadly now they are at 18th position in Premier League which is never been ideal for any team last but not least they have very difficult chance of surviving even spending good money because it's not all about money it needs some good strategy and off the field things as well right now they are going to face Everton in next match if they won and Norwich will also win then they will be on their place and in another match if Watford beat Burnley or Burnley beat Watford they are going to drop some more mean very tricky situation for all relegation zone teams with just Norwich's one win can create more interest now we have to wait for some good time about result who is going down and who is staying here for next season.
Richest but Newcastle did not take advantage of the opportunity to take the star player. There wasn't even an offer they wanted to take. Isn't that quite surprising? they are predicted to be a club that will have extraordinary players to face a tougher football season. Avoiding the relegation zone should be a priority and to save Newcastle is to strengthen its squad by competent players and coaches. It's a shame that until now they haven't seen their seriousness to target being in the top 10.

It is a team building slowly now after getting a rich owner but right now their current target should be getting out of relegation zone. With defence like that I am not sure they will hit top 10 or close to top 10. Reaching top 10 is a good target but given the situation and the team they have, you gotta understand its difficult.

Let's review the usual table, we have big 6 then the underdogs who are playing quite some season and then there are underdogs who are kinda wavy- sometime good in performance and sometimes drop easy points but in case of Newcastle all I see is draw and lose, recent games they played they have improved but overall they have been disastrous this season.

Well, if indeed Arsenal are actually considering making this transfer happen, then it can only mean that Leno is actually leaving the team, and to be honest I think it's about time he left, he has completely fallen out of favor of the Arsenal boss, and I don't think there's any way back into the team from here going forward. I like it when players move on when they aren't getting any playing time, the more you sit on the bench, the more you lose form and your value depreciates, if you've fought for your position for a while and the manager still doesn't fancy you, I suggest you move, and I hope Leno does, and gets the playing time he deserves.

Yeah I also like the fact that Arsenal are letting them go either on loan or permanent transfer depending upon whether the team need him in future or not. While on ther hand there are some teams , who just do nothing and let them sit on the bench which also affects players morale. Current reports direct to Leno to Newcastle but well let's see, he could end up anywhere.

Newcastle are really in an interesting condition now. They are one of the richest clubs in the world now but they are in the relegation area in the league at the same time. They must really start showing a much better performance than now. Otherwise they are in danger of relegating from the league. And after that, I don't think that bigger names would be eager to come to a club which are in the second league of their country. A really tough future would wait for them then.

They are making some key signings and there are more to come soon. By the end of the transfer window I am sure they are gonna confirm one or two more, so now at least I think they are gonna perform better than what they showed us still now. I am still surprised about the Bruno Guimares moving to Newcastle and I am sure other players will also start to think Newcastle as a team to start their PL adventure.

Honestly it's quite a gamble for those players as well as team is in relegation.

Missing only the official statement from clubs now.

Glad to see a giant taking a good talent and I am sure Vlahovic wherever he lands will do wonders. Shame that it wasn't Arsenal he choose but like I said earlier being in the same country where he doesn't have to adjust much plays a huge factor and it seems it did here. Juventus needed a good striker and Vlahovic is a great talent who can perform now and develop in future as well.

Atletico Madrid - Valencia 3:2
Granada - Osasuna 0:2
Real Madrid - Elche 2:2

What a match it was between Real Madrid and Elche with 2:2. Surprising to see Elche equally challenging Real Madrid. Did not expect Real Madrid to go on draw. And those two goals were at the end of match. 1 at 82nd minute and another one at 90th minute. How pressure Real Madrid might have been in right. Elche was the one to make goals earlier in the match. This teaches lessons as any team can turn up at any time. Elche must be much happier today though the match was drawn.

Well a team gotta have a one or two surprises in a season. No one is that flawless. Right now Real Madrid are also aren't at their best but still  are at the top of the table but yeah not much gap between them and Sevilla. I would say I don't think there is much real competition , with Barca and Atletico out of form , there isn't much serious competition as I feel.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 23, 2022, 07:36:42 PM
Chelsea keep showing the world why they are among the top teams in the premier league by showcasing their defensive and offensive approach which is a big confidence booster going forward... It might be too late but this puts pressure on the league leaders to keep winning to keep top spot.

It was a good game and Spurs also had some good momentum going on at the start keeping a slight pressure on Chelsea but Chelsea played the second half really well. Two goals in quick succession was really massive for Chelsea and it dropped down Spurs hopes also.

Yeah this definitely puts pressure on the top.The last draw for City must have put them up from the comfortable zone now and must proceed seriously from hereon onwards.

So far Arsenal has played good game both attacking and defensive wise. Lot of close chances from Gunners, hopefully they will score some goals in second half. With Partey's absence we have one defensive midfielder and 4 midfielder up the pitch so quite an attacking lineup so I do think they will score one soon.

Ngannou was slow and Gane kinda picked him initial stages but thet takedowns in round 3 and round 4 was so much imprtant and that put Francis right into the game. Game kinda had a good tactic initially but there were some poor choices and Francis took those chances really well to come out as a winner. My first UFC bet for this year came out as a winner..

Just a question , with promotion going on that line we will get triple winnings right?

More and more rumors here in Italy about a final try for Juventus to take Vlahovic from Fiorentina.

Juventus accord to the media can offer 60m+ bonuses to get him in this session.

Fiorentina also should try to sell him now or they will risk losing him for free since he will be in the last year of his contract.

That should be a great deal for Juventus if they are seriously on to him. Furthermore he doesn't have to adjust also then if he makes a move to Italian side and that is also a major factor inside the mind of a player who wants to move. There are also factors and depends upon what he keeps priority. Juventus also needs a striker and that one will be a good striker secured and for the future.

Yesterday Manchester City lost points in a not very difficult away game. If Liverpool win today, they will reduce the points gap to single digits. Their match is not easy either, because Crystal Palace can get good results in their home matches.
I say Arsenal will win the match easily against Burnley at home. I see the match of the day, Chelsea - Tottenham, open to all results. Fighting for third and fourth place is a big challenge. The teams are very close to each other and change places with slight differences.

Southampton took all the advantage of the eary goal scored by Walker-Peters and continued to defend that score till the majority of the game. They defended quite well against a big side like City. I am glad that cashed out my bet on City in the starting when the goal was scored and didn't put it in when the equalising goal was scored (was quite tempting then also).

Well better now as there is a chance of gap reduced on the table between City and Liverpool.

the downhill slide of borussia mönchengladbach continues - the club lost 1-2 at home to union berlin today.
Just have seen the results now of the saturday games , and i guess its getting close now for the Coach of Gladbach after the lost match about Union Berlin.
Also i am glad that Dortmund managed a win against Hoffenheim so that they can catch up on Bayern Munich , sad to hear that Haaland is injured again.
A big respect to Greuther Fürth for another win today as i was expecting that they losing this match.
The outcome of the first 3 matches were quite unexpected.. Frankfurt lost vs Bielefeld, Mainz lost vs Fürth! Now I wouldn't say that M'Gladbach defeat is really unexpected but whenever you give them some hope to do something even in their home they fail you. Typically M'Gladbach Undecided
I didn't watch Dortmund game but it seems that Hoffenheim was controlling it the most and now with Haaland injury, they might be in trouble when facing Leverkusen in 2 weeks.

Mainz are getting quite horrible actually. usually they would win these games easily but couple of days ago they lost to Bochum as well in DFB Pokal. As for Gladbach they have been horrible as well and Union Berlin is an unexpected team so took Berlin today and won that part of bet in my multi-bet.

Dortmund are already struggling and Leverkusen quite in form and with main goal scorer for Dortmund out with injury, it seems difficult for Dortmund.
