well i gave up the hope for voot, because the next coin on MP will be Razor for shure... lets face it. good coin being held down, right?

This short term thinking is what plagues the whole realm of cryptocurrencies. Who cares that another coin gets added on Mintpal? All the best to them.
People should stop thinking they will get rich overnight, solid and steady development wins the race.
I'd rather see VOOT delivering a good anon feature than see it rushed to an exchange and peaking shortly and then falling afterwards.

Remember, Mintpal is the whales playing ground. It's the ultimate test for the survivability of a coin. If it gets pumped without being fully matured development wise it will not survive long term (look what is happening to CRYPT for example)

I'd really like to see the caffeinated, gum chewing, wannabe Gecko types who are merely in for a quick buck go elsewhere.

If that is the case, then why do you support a dev with a conflict of interest ?

Do you really believe that he has the self control to limit himself to just 2 ?

What will happen to your fabricated profits if/when your governments decide to prosecute you for your involvement in these ponzi/fraud related activities ?

Vootcoin is not managed by a newbies username but by Sr.member and Hero member so i don't think we will promise you what we cant deliver r?
i am sure most of you have mined a coin with KGW, maybe you should look at the person that patched it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552895.0

LOL ! Says the newbie with his 6 week old account.

Hippie Tech at this point is grasping for straws. Virus in a Whitepaper..really?!!

Coin has withstood all FUD, now let it climb

DO NOT twist my words like that.. dumb ass. I never said it was a virus.

The whole fucking world knows the potential threat that PDFs and java scripts represent. Especially ones that look like they were made using WinDOHs iPaint.

Cryptos have become a cesspool for racketeers and thieves thanks to shitcoin shill maggots such as yourself.

I have no idea about this. I just made the document using libreoffice writer and exported it as a pdf. Can someone reproduce this?

Open action and java scripts are not showing up on the other pdfs I have scanned.

Btw.. I know I've seen that goofy "white paper" diagram before..

I think that you have enough cheap VOOT coins am I wrong?

I do not own this or any shitcoin belonging to the douche devs listed on my trust rating.

Address my concerns or STFU. Smiley

The open action: <</Lang(fi-FI)/Metadata 2 0 R/OpenAction[14 0 R/XYZ null null 0]/Outlines 6 0 R/Pages 10 0 R/Type/Catalog>>

Its most likely just what page to display or how much to zoom, etc.  Sure nothing to worry about IMO.

created a file my self on libreoffice exp to pdf

same thing came out, so you could quash your fud .

Can this be exploited in any way ?

He is once again using /cloning other's ideas. He should have just made it a simple screenshot/JPEG. lol

This "dev" is not a dev. Just a copy n pasta...

What I can't understand is what took days and days for a 1 page whitepaper Huh

yes, true its just a few hours job, don't know why taking it so long.

I think that you both will not understand this nitesend work development if is in one sentence or one hundred pages  simple like (E = mc˛)

The pdf is using java scripts and open action because... <insert answer here>.

One page !? LOL

Why does the pdf have "open action" / java script risks associated with it ?

Darkcoin

- derived from Quark
- type of algorithm: blake, bmw, groestl, keccak, jh, stein
- PoW and PoS

The following data and time stamps were collected from the Darkcoin blockchain 33).

Block 1: 2014-01-19 Time: 3:54:41
Block 1000 : 2014-01-19 Time: 4:33:39
Block 2000: 2014-01-19 Time: 06:25:47
Block 3000: 2014-01-19 Time: 09:10:16
Block 3250: 2014-01-19 Time: 11:22:11

Looking at this data, we see that Darkcoin was mined with 500 DRK generated per block from the get go. From block 1 to at least block 3250, according to their blockchain, they were still producing 500 coins each block. The transition from 500 to 277 coins per block occurs between 3250 and 3500 but this author did not see the necessity of getting the exact moment of halving. Simple math shows that 3250 blocks multiplied by 500 coins a block is 1,625,000 Darkcoins created between the times of 3:54 and 11:22 on January 19th, 2014. As of today there are around 4,300,000 DRK in existence, making this a pretty hefty instamine. The Darkcoin website expects around 22,000,000 DRK to be created. That means in less than 8 hours, almost 5% of the Darkcoins that ever will be created spawned in that 1/3 of a day. It's safe to say Darkcoin has left it's investors in the dark on this one.

Disappointing to see that over a quarter of the people in this forum still haven't got a clue about how decentralised currencies are supposed to work.  The two possible correct answers are either 'NO', or simply not bothering to vote for an option at all because stupid poll is stupid.

Go and start your own Tardcoin that isn't fungible if you want to be able to block transactions and balances.  You don't belong here.
It's just over a quarter of People, who look into this thread.
There have been so many threads about blacklisting coins and all the good arguments against it, have also been used many times. So, I think most experienced users are just ignoring such threads.

Yes, fingers crossed you're right on that one.  Perhaps the people who voted in favour of blocking coins, or said they weren't sure haven't been around as long and are still new to the concept of crypto.  Thankfully there's enough old hands around to make sure it never actually happens and terrible ideas like the one in the OP never become a reality.

What if the votes were just "voting spam" of people that just vote random answers on polls on these forums? I have sure seen stranger things

Voting (and laws) are not a necessity when society builds a consensus on those matters. eg. FUCK THE ESTABLISHMENT. Smiley

In order for society to build a consensus wouldn't there need to be some kind of vote?

Nope. Smiley

Truth is a dictatorship. Tongue
That wouldn't really be a consensus, it would be one person forcing others to do as he says

That is to be expected when blind faith and ego are entered into the equation.

why are people uisng online, cloud, off-cloud-line (just made that term up) wallets ?
choose your wallet, update it once a week so if you need to spend it  ready

is someone trying to portray ths as so complicated your can't control and manage your own wallet.dat/whatever backup file.
i understand (don't approve of, but still) newbies getting haacked but what sort of user whos been here longer than 5 minutes needs an online wallet.

3% daily interest. Shocked

Is there some evidence that he is?  Or am I missing a pretty funny joke about how tf stole millions and now he's back to steal more with an even less elaborate plan?

I'll give it 60/40 odds that its him... maybe 70% lol..

lol so while many people here are making countless tens of thousands off darkcoin, you retards are just posting about why its a "scam". Hippie Tech and Iloveanaoncoin have to be the most pathetic people ive ever come across. Look at all that wasted money they let go all in the sake of trying to let people know of the "scam" and its had no effect on the price, fucking idiots lmao!

Have fun with your cryptofiat ponzi shitcoin, douche. Smiley

Someone posted this on the DRK thread..

http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/28hqu3/warning_to_all_anonymous_coins_promoters_and/

Quote
We are group of seasoned software engineers, mathematicians and cryptographers. We take security, privacy and anonymity very seriously.

We are warning all promoters and pumpers (including, but not limited to: koolio, fontas, moosanyc, prometheus etc.) of altcoins that claim to have some sort of anonymity, privacy etc. features that we will analyze these features and publish results if these altcoins are heavily promoted and/or pumped.

In case of CryptCoin you could already see disastrous effects of such analysis on the coin price. The analysis was published on CryptCoin subreddit but was later removed by moderators.

Similar poor ideas and bad implementations have already been identified in number of other altcoins, including some that were recently heavily pumped. So please don't promote and pump any altcoin with special security, privacy or anonymity features unless you are convinced that these features can pass serious analysis.

Altcoin users: please take security, anonymity and privacy very seriously and don't trust any anonymity etc. feature unless it has been reviewed by independent experts. Sadly, we don't know any altcoin feature that has received such review.

"Of course is speculation. DarkSend developers/community must prove that DarkSend provides any anonymity at all. But for the same reasons (closed source, RC only) the developers and community cannot prove anything yet. So claiming that it will provide any kind of anonymity is at least very wild speculation. Proving that something is anonymous/secure etc. is usually much harder than disproving it. Our job will probably be much easier - we must find only one counter-example of DarkSend claims. DarkSend must prove that no such counter-examples exist. But I doubt that this is the right time and place to discuss DarkSend possible vulnerabilities."
