1801  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do your own research on: April 03, 2023, 06:33:44 PM
One thing I have noticed here, is the emphasising of personnel research of members in this Forum before any investment. Do your own research (DYOR)  is a term used in cryptocurrency, to advice investors not to invest on something they don't know about. There are various reasons why you should do your research, some are:

The most important reason why you should do your research is so that you will not blame another person for your own mistake. People like depending on other people's financial advice or investment analysis because they don't want to take responsibility for their actions. They fail to understand that although there are people who have a vast knowledge of the bitcoin space, the sector is unpredictable.

Most of these influencers have no practical knowledge about Bitcoin, yet people follow them on social media and accept their financial advice. People fail to understand they these influences are businessmen and women that are paid for their service and they don't necessarily care about the outcome of the investment.
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: in a circus, who might be rich? on: April 03, 2023, 05:59:16 PM
in circus there is a variety of people with their own special role, everyone working toward their own goal to make the event success. who might be rich? or everyone is equally rich?

Everyone cannot be rich in a circus. Their income might not determine if they will be poor or rich but how they use what they earn. If the dancer saves and invests wisely he might become rich. The clown might also diversify his skills by starting a business to gain extra income.
The world economy indeed is like a circus with many people performing different tasks and roles to earn to survive. You can save and invest in something profitable which can contribute to the possibility of becoming financially stable. If you depend on your salary or wages alone, then you are on your path to poverty. Engaging in different legal avenues to get multiple streams of income is also a key to wealth in society. In summary, invest and diversify to become financially independent because your pay in this economic circus will not make you rich.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 03, 2023, 04:11:57 PM
Is it not the sunk cost fallacy we just saw play out in Chelsea? Oh by the way, according to Google, the sunk cost fallacy is a phenomenon whereby a person is reluctant to abandon a strategy or course of action because they have invested heavily in it, even when it is clear that abandonment would be more beneficial.

What I can deduce from what has played is that Chelsea have become a business entity rather than a football club with deep social roots. Also, it seems that this unfortunate phenomenon is permeating other football clubs and that a basic community loyalty is being surpassed by the interest in financial gains instead of the community's spirit  .
Anyways back to Potter. The two questions on my mind are
- Where would he go next?
- who is his replacement?

Making the club a profit and business center would be blames on the owners and nobody else, they're no different from the glazer's, I'm still not happy Abrahimovich sold the club. If not for the Russian/Ukraine war, he should still be input with the club.
I feel like he's been targeted before now, so Since they finally had a good chance, they shot the ball into the top corner of the goal. ( Sad )

Leicester so far, I don't know how sure, I'm yet to verify, this is all I have heard from my local TV station saying this. Graham Potter deserves a club like Leicester City and not Chelsea. I have said this before, he's no different from Frank Lampard. Zidane also won't be a good replacement for Graham Potter with Chelsea.

I think Todd Boehly and other co-owners are passionate about making Chelsea successful. They wanted to continue with the legacy of Roman that's why they brought out a lot of funds to get more players. Potter was cheap but he was also doing a good job in Brighton and so many people predicted that he would succeed. Mikel Arteta was also cheap but he is the best currently in the EPL. Potter was just unfortunate.
I don't really blame Brendan Rodgers for the failure of the Leicester team. The management of the club sold many key players without replacing them. The coach is sound but he has limited resources to buy the required players to make the team a better side. I think he will get another job next season.
1804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You don't need to learn everything about Bitcoin on: April 03, 2023, 03:46:38 PM
There are two ways to make money with Bitcoin - buying and waiting for the price to rise, or doing some Bitcoin-related work. And the first doesn't require any deep knowledge, just have an exit strategy and don't panic sell. Reading this forum for many hours per day alone won't make you rich.

My lecturer will always say that an educated person is someone that knows something about everything. The bitcoin space is too big, complex, and versatile that it might be very difficult to learn everything about it in a few years. And the sector is even dynamic and one needs to be current on new development and innovation.

I want to deeply appreciate OP for this great advice. This is because sometimes I feel that I am not allocating enough time to the study of bitcoin. You have just given me a clear scope of the aspect of bitcoin I am interested in. Since my interest is keeping my coin till the price appreciates, I should focus on that. But this doesn't also mean that I should study materials on other aspects of bitcoin because it can also be beneficial.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: April 03, 2023, 03:22:21 PM
as we know today btc is in the range of 28000, and i was very lucky to be able to buy btc when the price was still low, and now if i sell it i have a profit but if i sell it now i'm afraid i won't be able to
buying from the bottom again,, and I'm currently struggling to hold btc so I don't sell it,

I want to ask if you also  keep holding btc?

and the reason I hold btc is because I believe the price of btc in 2024 will be high and there will be no more btc prices like now.

The decision to hold or sell depends on the benchmark set by individuals. Some persons might have planned to sell their coin when the price gets to this level because they have reached their profit level. Some other people like me believe that the price will still go higher than the current price, that is why we still need to hold. I have heard some friends state that they will be selling because they feel that the price will crash so that they can buy again and hold until it comes up gain. I have a long-term plan for my investment which means I am not selling anytime soon except if there is an emergency.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 02, 2023, 05:44:20 PM
There are only a few minutes left in the game, and Newcastle looks more likely to score more goals. With 20 shots and 5 on target for Newcastle and 4 shots and 1 on target for Manchester United, the game will almost certainly end in Newcastle's favor. Manchester United are missing some key players in this game, and I'm sure the coach has seen the lapses and understands the importance of those players who are not present today.

This season brought a lot of disappointments to some of the dominant teams in the EPL. Liverpool and Chelsea are the worst hit because of their their performances. Manchester United recovered in the middle of the season but this match has shown that the club is still inconsistent. Newcastle was the best in the attack and De Gea had to make four good saves. Twenty shots, six on target and two goals in a match is an outstanding attacking performance, while United just had six shots and one target. Newcastle goalkeeper Pope was just on a pre-Easter holiday, while United defenders were just struggling to penetrate the solid Newcastle defense.

Both teams' next match will determine which one will solidify their top four positions. Newcastle will be playing against West Ham, while United will slog it out with Brentford.
1807  Other / Meta / Re: Who was your April fool Best? on: April 02, 2023, 04:26:10 PM
Some of my mentors in the forum later told me that Theymos's April fool prank was a yearly event so I stopped becoming worried when I couldn't win the game. But my campaign manager's prank was too real to be fake. I was already celebrating the unimaginable wage increase and had already started to plan how to increase my Bitcoin holdings. Yesterday was one of my best days because I was smiling and joyful although. I suspected it was not real when there was no bitcoin address requirement, but Iater felt that members can submit it when they have been accepted. The truth was I believed it with my whole heart. But it's still all good.
1808  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit Casino loosing value due to Licensing Ambiguity amongst users on: April 02, 2023, 03:34:46 PM
They do have a signature campaign on the forum.

[CFNP] Rollbit.com | Signature Campaign | Full Members+ ~ Earn up to $80/Week!

Will it affect this? It would make sense for them to pause or end the campaign if they have these problems.

The casino has not been associated with any scams or criminal activities. It's just having a licensing issue that can be resolved within a few days or weeks. There is no need to pause the campaign because customers have not had an issue with deposits and withdrawals. We have not heard a response from the licensor but the Rollbit team has assured its community that its legal team is working hard to make sure this license issue is resolved. As a member of this community, I wish that this problem is resolved as soon as possible. Rollbit is a leading force in the crypto casino industry and I am sure they will come out of this storm.
1809  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance - a new problem on the horizon? on: April 02, 2023, 02:45:25 PM

The largest crypto exchange in the world, Binance, is going through hard times. The American regulator sued her, management was caught lying about working in China, and analysts found out that the exchange was donating to the Russian army.

Are these donations from Binance's clients or the firm? Individuals or companies might decide to donate to Russia through Binance due to Krelim's disconnection from the international banking system. It shouldn't be just an allegation to give the company a bad name, I hope they have evidence to back their claims.

Quote
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a lawsuit on March 27 against Binance Holdings Ltd and its CEO Changpeng Zhao. The lawsuit alleges that the exchange violated the rules for trading derivatives, writes Bloomberg.

The regulator said that Binance was required to register properly many years ago, but did not do so. The lawsuit alleges that the crypto exchange “disregarded applicable federal laws by facilitating the expansion of Binance’s U.S. customer base because it was beneficial to it.”

The timing of this suit is very suspicious. Binance claimed that it has been cooperating and working with the US government to ensure that all issue is resolved amicably. I am suspecting that the recent fall in some major banks in The US and Switzerland damaged the goodwill of the conventional banking system and the government also wants to give the crypto space a bad name to discourage people from pulling out of banks and investing in the crypto industry.
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: April 02, 2023, 02:21:35 PM
There is no doubt that Bukele is a genius. What he did was show it. Get rid of the gangs and restore the peace that people need in their lives. El Salvador needs this man and hopefully, he stays in power for years to come. In addition, El Salvador has decided to abolish all taxes on technological innovation for the sake of future economic growth.

This step is of course in line with the establishment of the El Salvador National Bitcoin Office (ONBTC), which is also known as the “Bitcoin Office”. Technological innovations such as software programming, coding, application development and AI, and manufacturing of computing and communication hardware will be exempt from tax in El Salvador, as President Nayib Bukele continues to embrace BTC for his country that wants to become a world country as a technological power and an economic power.

Anyone, organization, or nation that is undertaking the economic strategies of the current government of El Salvador led by Bukele must be a joker. We have gradually seen viable and systematic policies and policy implementation that is turning the nation into an economic hub. To attract more investors, the free tax policy has been enacted. It takes a business a few years to stabilize and start making profits. Without paying taxes these businesses will have the time to grow without the tax burden.
This policy will also lead to an increase in employment opportunities thereby reducing the rate of unemployment. And when people are gainfully employed, the tendency to go into crime becomes low.
1811  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a big fraud. on: April 01, 2023, 09:50:11 PM
Royse777 you are a fraud manager. You are stealing a lot of money from Signature campaign. A thieving manager like you is not needed on the forum.

Success attracts a lot of envy and jealousy from haters and bad competitors. I am sure OP is one of those in the forum that is mad and not pleased because Royse777 is now a force to be reckoned with. His ability to run numerous campaigns successfully is giving his haters sleepless nights.

I have been in a campaign he is managing for two weeks now and there has not been a single case of financial mismanagement. All participants are paid correctly when due and there has not been any issue on my side. He has always informed participants to communicate with him if they want more clarifications regarding post counts and payments. I would advise the community to overlook this accuser because he is just a distraction to the good works of Royse.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 01, 2023, 09:23:18 PM
I think Liverpool are far way better in term of performance to their counterpart Chelsea, at least the Reds were beating by a big-four team in the EPL unlike Chelsea so humiliated by the likes of Aston villa with a clean sheet score. It's true Liverpool are facing a bad season which is not their making cause they are really struggling hard haven moved from around 10th position to where they currently are now on the table whereas Chelsea has stuck to their guns on not leaving that 10th position cause of n incompetent coach that lacks tactics and playing pattern to deliver when pressure mounts.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have been very disappointing this season. I pity their fans because they have suffered a lot of humiliating losses that can be heartbreaking. Liverpool didn't spend as much as Chelsea, so they can make excuses that they need more players. But it's quite unfortunate to see a world-class coach like Jürgen Klopp struggling to get results. What went wrong or had he lost his technical expertise or is day now outdated?

Chelsea is gradually turning into a nightmare. After spending so much on players this season, their performance is just getting worst. The Blues can boast that unlike Liverpool they are still playing in the Champions League. I am predicting that the management of Chelsea has am started typing the sack letter, Graham Potter.
1813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 01, 2023, 09:09:00 PM

No one would believe If they were told some months ago that:
• FTX would collapse,
• LUNA would go to 0,
• 3AC/BlockFi/Celsius would implode,
• USDC would de-peg,
• Interest rates would rise to 4.5%+,
• Major banks would collapse,
• The SEC would attack crypto, and
• Bitcoin will STILL be above $24k.
Here we are, and wherein these failed, others has risen to the challenge with better services and security against similar recurrence.

Am not about to give up hope, so should you.

•What ways have you exercised hope after setbacks or failure?
•What lessons can we learn from your experience?

Nothing is impossible in the cryptocurrency space. The sector is so unpredictable that anything can happen within a few minutes which can lead to the rise or fall of any crypto-related firm or product.

FTX was one of the leading exchanges that was seen as a stable and reliable investment. They have invested heavily in advertising sponsoring many key sports competitions and signing expensive endorsements with some key sports personalities. The firm was also a major donor of political parties. With all these credentials, I never thought FTX will collapse.

I always knew that SEC was a major anti-bitcoin force because of their constant criticism of the sector. Their attacks didn't come as a surprise because the government will always want to control the global financial sector.

I was expecting Bitcoin to rise next year and its consistent gains recently is a surprise to me. Many crypto analysts never predicted that the price will keep recovering because I always heard them forecast that recovery will be next year.

I have learned to always expect any surprises from the bitcoin sector. Also, we should invest only what we can afford to lose since we cannot predict the industry accurately. Lastly, we should follow and execute our investment plans regardless of the market situation. Hold your coin if that's what is in your plan and don't mind any distraction.
1814  Other / Meta / Re: How to overcome this new captcha on: April 01, 2023, 08:42:39 PM
Imagine all the effort only for the challenge to disappear the next day 😂
Honestly! I think people should just relax and chill, enjoy the moment. There's no cause for alarm. All will be gone in less than 24hrs and forum resets to status quo.

I was very scared when I saw the instruction and I thought it was very serious because this forum is very formal. I don't want to be called a spammer that is why I was doing my best to get the coins, but the game was not as cheap as I thought. But when I saw some comments from members that was when I knew that it was nothing serious. It's just to add some fun to the ever-serious forum. The captcha looks like a game called Super Mario that I used to play decades ago. But this one is very strange and difficult for me. I have not played any game for many years now and I guess that's why I am finding it difficult.

I can't wait for these unpleasant red remarks on my post to disappear. I hope it goes out immediately we get to 2nd April. As you said, I am relaxing and expectant.
1815  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There is lot's of confusion in people about whether it's allowed to invest or no on: April 01, 2023, 07:38:34 PM
In Islamic banking is progressing repidly in some country and people's wants to be invested according to shariah. Now what is best openion about this seriouse situation

Investment according to Islamic law is not a sin and traders are encouraged to make a fair profit from business engagements. But collecting interest from loans which is called raba is prohibited according to the Holy Books of the religion. The question might be how Islamic banks make a profit. They make their gains through business partnerships or equity participation. This means that there is an agreement that allocates a certain percentage of profit from the business to the bank.

I don't think the Islamic religion is against investing in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies but using bitcoin for loan services that require interest is not permitted and borrowing money with interest to invest in bitcoin might be against the Holy Book..
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your local gambling game that you didn’t see in the crypto casino on: March 31, 2023, 08:39:42 PM
The latter card games was the usual gambling activity that I use to play way back in my last days in elementary and high school, in my town these never gets old. It's likely an accustomed to many here especially during the wake of anyone as long as they're catholic. Since casinos these days try to cater universal customer I think it's best if a local casino would promote it.

I have not seen my local game called Ebututu game. It is normally played in the villages of a part of my country. Normally it is played with pebbles and holes in carved wood. It usually has two players that try to have more pebbles by putting a particular number on the wooden holes. Any player that has the highest number of pebbles becomes the winner. It will be nice to have this game in casinos because it will make the casino indigenous and attract more customers from my country.
Although it is not popular in my country, it will not be bad to see casinos that include cockfighting. I have read about it and it seems it is popular in Asia and some parts of South American.
1817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips To Make Quality Posts In This Forum As A Beginner on: March 31, 2023, 06:55:42 AM
This forum has many members that express themselves and their knowledge of bitcoin in diverse ways. It might be good to learn from senior members because of their wealth of knowledge and experience but it also is good if you find your oath and carve your niche. When you are writing a post ensure you have the correct information and that your post will be beneficial to the forum but express it in your way. You don't necessarily need to sound like someone else because you are unique. To all newbies just be yourself and enjoy the forum.

Regarding your forum police comments, it is not all members that will have such policing or investigative skills. This field requires a whole lot of patience and analysis. That's why they are rewarded for such hard work. If you don't have such skills, just be a good poster.
1818  Other / Meta / Re: Spammers and Burst Posters only on: March 31, 2023, 05:03:00 AM
Considering you have followed all the rules and you are on topic, what is your average number of posts?
I am not sure if there are any restrictions on the number of posts because I have never had issues where I am told that I have exceeded the maximum number of posts per day or week. I have done up to seven to each posts in a day when I am on holiday and have some extra time. But currently, I spend close to two to three hours on the forum and my post count a day is between 4-6.

Quote
Additional question: For you what is the acceptable time gap during/while posting in this forum?
I think the forum places more emphasis on quality and not necessarily the time gap. Although fewer time gaps are one of the main features of spammers and low-quality posters it cannot be used as a scale to judge or assess the quality of posts. My time gain depends on how knowledgeable I am about a topic. If I have a vast knowledge about some topics, my reply might take less time compared to the one that I have to make research for more understanding.

1819  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much you have earned through crypto referral on: March 31, 2023, 04:42:46 AM
Means refering from crypto related site like nexo, binance, etc.
this is kind of affiliate marketing,
I had tried by running ptc ads on PTC site (no google adsense or facebook ads) I didn't got results(which is obvious why someone invest in nexo if he is trying to earn through PTC sites)
how you refer what do you do to convince anyone to make account on sites. like you have blog, website, etc.
i heard on this forum, some people said i had over 100 referral. i also want that much referral, can you suggest some ideas?

Sometimes the terms and conditions guiding these referral benefits are not explicit. These firms will keep giving you more conditions before you might be paid. They might say you should refer three people but after that, you will be told that until they make deposits you will not get your referral bonus. Getting people to register was very challenging and convincing them to make a deposit was not easy so I gave up the task of bringing people. I have heard about people making a few bucks from referrals, maybe they met the right people and crypto firm at the right time. But you need a large followership on social media for you to make money from social media adverts.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study Bitcoin on: March 31, 2023, 03:58:20 AM
Yeah, good to see some bitcoin guy completely trolling those Central Banks, perhaps they are just sending the message to whatever means and hopefully these bankers are not going to take it very seriously though as if there is a war between us vs them.

And I commend the people behind, yeah they got balls to do it and hopefully they won't be caught and who knows, they could be charged by anything the authorities can think of.
Legally this action is not advisable because they don't have permission to display the bitcoin logo in such a sensitive place considering the bank's stance on Bitcoin. Nevertheless, it is a good means of advertising Bitcoin and the world needs to get the message that fiat is not the only currency. Bitcoin is a superior money that outshines fiat in all ramifications. Although this action is not lawful, I still give kudos to these bitcoiners that planned and executed this publicity. We need more of these actions to spread the message of bitcoin so that people can be liberated from the influence of central banks.
